//-------------------------------------------------------// Hospital Bed -by Green Plant Icon- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Healing //-------------------------------------------------------// Healing Discord sat alone on the floor. Not even the chaos of his own dimension could make him feel better. Fluttershy is missing. There's no happiness when his one and only love has been missing. Discord's head fell into his knees as he thought about what everypony keeps telling him. "It's been seven years, Discord. As much as I hate to believe, there's no sign of Fluttershy, and they're beginning to call the investigation off." How could he just let go of Fluttershy? When she might be in pain, or in danger, maybe even dead?! His thoughts were interrupted, by the sound of flames ripping through the air, and the feeling of a scroll bouncing off his feet after it fell. It was a letter from Celestia, did he want to open it? Why would he if it's probably going to be more about how Fluttershy is gone, and to get over it? It sparked his interest, though. So he opened it anyway. Discord, I deeply apologize for your 'loss', a few years back. However, two days ago, was the day for officers to check up on registered 'sex offenders' to make sure that they hadn't committed any crimes, or had left the city. Fluttershy was found in the basement of one in Manehattan. I wont go into detail of what it looked like, but we have a few theories on what happened to Fluttershy while she was missing. None of them good. She was brought to the castle, unconscious and bruised. Now she is in the castle's hospital, and in stable condition, after a couple surgeries to check up on her. You may visit her if you wish. If you do, maybe come see me? Your friend, Princess Celestia. P.S: Fluttershy went into surgery, to make sure nothing was damaged internally. There was nothing life threatening, but there are some things that will have to be kept an eye on. Discord scoffed. 'Friend'? Ha, nice one sun-butt. He looked over the letter one more time. Did she really have leave out the details, about how his Fluttershy was treated? He'd rather not know, but at the same time, he needed to know. Discord sat in the chair beside Fluttershy, her friends had came by a couple hours ago. Just for a few minutes to check on her, then left. Fluttershy wasn't awake yet, but by the way the color had drained from her once rosy cheeks, and she breathed raggedly, Discord could tell she was very sick, and injured. Her pale body stirred. The bed shifted slightly, and the beeping of her heart beat on the monitor slowed a bit. She opened her eyes slowly, as if they here the heaviest things in the world. Because of the weight, her eyes blinked slowly, and her beautiful eyes hid from the outside world, for most of the time. 'Give her water, right when she wakes up. It'll keep her hydrated and wake her up more from the anesthesia that we gave her for surgery.' Discord handed her water, and she drank it all. 'Be quiet until she's awake and talks to you first.' Discord stayed silent as Fluttershy leaned up slightly, and blinked herself awake. Fluttershy turned towards where the hand came from that gave her something to drink. She smiled and touched his cheek, "Discord." Her voice. Oh, how he had longed to hear it again after so many months. "Hey." Hey? That's all he says after he hasn't seen her for months?! Discord mentally punched himself, "How are you doing, my dear?" That's better. "Alright," she tried to lean up, but her hooves gave out under her,"I guess." Discord couldn't help but chuckle a bit. He leaned down in his chair, and adjusted the bed so she could sit up. His attention went back to her, when he heard her soft voice again. "What time is it?" she yawned, drowsy again from the medicine going into her through needles and tubes. Discord looked at the clock, "Late. I should be leaving, and letting you sleep." he turned to leave. "No." she touched his arm and he turned, "Um, I mean, w-would you stay with me?" Her big teal eyes were too much, there was no way he could leave her alone here. "Alright." he sighed, using magic to extend the hospital bed, "But I'm sleeping with you. Not on that back-breaking chair." The sun shined brightly through the windows, and Discord was blinded the minute he opened his eyes. He groaned and started to get up from the bed to close the blinds, but a sleeping Fluttershy tightened her grip and kept him wrapped around her in coils. Discord chuckled and whispered, "Well, aren't you greedy this morning?" Fluttershy smiled slightly, a sign she was awake. "Awake the whole time, and you didn't even tell me!" Discord exclaimed quietly, "Secondnd offence! I suggest you be good this morning!" Fluttershy opened her eyes and smirked, "Or what? Besides, punishing me the first day you see me after months?! I'd say that's your first offence of the day! It got silent as the two were both reminded of what separated them. Fluttershy looked away, but Discord turned her head back to him in time to see a tear roll down her cheek. He sat up and pulled her into him. She cried into his chest, wetting his fur. He hummed the lullaby that Fluttershy always used when she was taking care of fillies, and putting baby animals to sleep. It seemed to comfort her, as her crying slowly got quiet and Discord could feel her relax in his arms. He kissed her lips. "Your once sweet, soft lips have changed. They've been forced into contact with foreign lips, lips that don't belong on yours." He kissed the bridge of her nose. "Your eyes, teal and deep like the ocean. They've seen things they aren't mean to see." He kissed her forehead. "Your mind, once pure and happy. There has been memories put in there that don't ever belong in a mare like you." Fluttershy smiled. Discord kissed her forehead again. The bridge of her nose. Her lips. They both remembered that fate brought them here. "Let me back into your heart, your eyes, and your mind. Let me wash away the things he did to you." The next day, Discord walked into Fluttershy's room at the hospital, to see a doctor checking her over, to see she was in good health. Fluttershy was able to go home that night. They didn't send word to her friends. Home just sounded too good to be true. Discord would've told Fluttershy about how her friends gave up on her, but saying, 'Your friends gave up on you, and I didn't!' would be getting on her and her friends' bad sides. Besides, it wasn't his place to tell her that her friends aren't her real friends. It's his place to tell her what happened while she was gone, though. Maybe leave that one out, at least while she's still recovering. It hurt for Discord to have to watch her be so oblivious to what her friends said, but it would be even harder if she did know. He knew Fluttershy was a sensitive pony, and the things they said about her could push her past her limits. What they said was out of anger, and wasn't thought about. Angry, because they felt it was their fault and they thought she was gone forever, the case forever remaining unsolved. They said what they said, though. Who knows if they're still angry, and the next time Fluttershy sees them, they accidently lashe out, and break her heart? For now, those thoughts could be put aside. It's time for her to go home. Discord walked through the front door of the cottage, carrying Fluttershy bridal-style. He set her on her hooves and she blushed, "You know, you didn't have to do that." "I know." Discord guided her to the couch, "I'll go make you some tea." He walked out of the room and Fluttershy giggled. She missed him so much. Mostly his hospitality towards her, and how he made her feel like she was worth something. That she was special. Subconsciously, she traced her hoof around the bruises left by the collar that was around her neck, and stared off into space. She was brought back to reality when she pressed a little too hard on one area. A loud shrill came from the kitchen, then it went silent. There was shuffling shortly after and Discord came in the room. He brought in two mugs that she usually used for coffee when there were visitors. He offered a small smile, a mug, and a sweatshirt. Fluttershy, with Discord's help, put on the sweatshirt and smiled back. Taking the mug in her hooves, she put it near her chest and breathed in the calming scent of Lavender Chamomile. Discord moved to sit next to her and drank from his own mug. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders, and relaxed into the back of the couch. His scent calmed Fluttershy further, and she got close enough to put her head under his chin. A snap, and then a fire roared as the whole room instantly heated up to a more pleasant warmth. Fluttershy looked to see that Discord had conjured up a fire in the fireplace. The sun started to set and it made everything all the more perfect, as they sat together and drifted off to sleep together. Separating to go off to their own dreams, they both agreed on one thing. They'll always remember the day they were united and lay together in that hospital bed. Author's Note Um, wow. My first Fluttercord Fanfic/written piece. Hope you like it!
