For whom does the Belle toll
Another day another saved.
There was a lilting tune barely heard by nearby passers who had no idea, there is a murder going on in a dark alley in Fillydelphia. There was a little colt whose flank was blank staring in a hypnotic trance at a little filly whose voice can take you to a wonderland of pleasure. This marshmallow colored filly with her dual colored mane used her unicorn magic in time with her singing that caused this colt to be under her control.
Sweetie belle lips twitched as she focused her powers on the colt, he was in a fantasy dancing with his favorite musician while eating cake.
She saw that he was in pure joy as he danced with this musician who appeared to be his lost father a innocent grin appeared on her face. The music was a soft classical played by a violinist who appeared to be his mother in the background as he danced. They would share the cake together as a family that was arguing or gone bringing a tear to Sweetie Belle's mind. The Toll started to add an extra enchantment to her voice to save this colt. She caught herself staring at his blank flank an inner rage was fighting within herself to protect this foal from future he cannot hope to fathom.
*Sweetie Belle song*
"Oh little colt this won't hurt a bit" came a singing beautiful voice."
"Oh my brave one your heart so stout." you could the music dropping into darker tones.
"This little filly needs your courageous heart." her magic horn began grabbing at the rib cage of this colt who could only feel the pleasure under the spell of music and magic.
"My wonderful knight this will be your last plight." her voice grew very dark as her magic was pulling the colts sternum out of his chest blood gushing from the open wound an innocent smile caressed her face.
"No more bullies no more woolies to make fun of you." she rhymed with a giggle using her power to keep the heart beating steady as she was tearing out his knee's dropping him to the ground.
His fantasy grew more intense the sky was dark but his favorite musician and the cake all that cake was becoming hazy to his mind.His eye's was losing its light and Sweetie Belle stopped singing.
"Damn I messed up again,." her voice heavy with pleasure at ripping his heart completely out of his body "I don't think I completely saved him may Luna guide your soul foal."
The piece of muscle was beating through her magic but no longer kept any life. Her face grew alight as she took the heart and rubbed it on her cutie mark causing blood to course down her legs.
"Ohhh this is the best I saved another from such a grim future." her voice thick with joy.
She looked both ways in this dark alley the corpse lying there as if it was always there, a faint buzzing sound was heard as the flies began gathering she stared at his face. There was no remorse as her dark personality felt a twinge of her lighter personality slowly beginning to wake. Her magic lifted up a broken stump of a hoof and used it like a quill on the walls. When the guard found this bleeding corpse that was the missing foal from the night before they first spotted the hideous writing on the wall which it said the Toll saved me and she can save you....
The bells tolled in the distance and Sweetie Belle found herself at home laying on the floor feeling very sore. The last half the day before was forgotten she had no idea she had murdered another pony. This didn't quite disturb her for it had happened many of time and she when she asked her older sister about it she was told it was growing pains. The morning was still to early for to rise so she fell asleep remembering briefly a cute little colt's face she blushed as slumber took over.
She awoke in the morning as she briefly remembered hearing her sister talking about another foal was killed by the Toll in Fillydelphia. She skipped out the house heading to school when she heard the bells ringing reminding her that she is gonna be late. As the bell's rung over a twelve times she felt her body stop and shudder causing her mind to disappear into the abyss of her imagination. A pure chuckle was heard from the filly as she opened her school bag to bring out her show and tell item. It was a beautiful masquerade mask made by Rarity that she to brag about to her classmates with.
"Oh again I am so lucky" her voice changed to a softer yet Innocent voice that would cause your flank to shiver.
She was currently living here in Fillydelphia for the last few years as her sister moved from her boutiques to keep them in good shape. The Toll traveled back to her last cleansing to make sure that she saved another. she joined a crowd of adult's muttering to themselves as she heard a guard throw up on the ground, she blinked innocently as she stared at the crime scene with many others.
"How could any pony do this chief?" said a young blue colt with the guard's insignia on his helm.
"Very strange indeed this foal is still smiling as he was tortured to death check his blood for poison joke." the older stallion in full guard armor scanned the crowd and spotted the filly.
"Get her out of here cadet this is no place for children and the rest of you scram." the chief spoke with stern authority in his voice.
The cadet ran over and scooted the Toll into the street with a hushed voice "filly this is no place for you are you ok?"
"What happened to that colt and what did it say on the wall?" her voice trembled but there was a small smile on her face.
"Trust me kid you don't want to know what happened to him and what it said on that wall." he shuddered as he touched his recently emptied stomach.
He then pushed her away with his final words before heading back to break up the crowd was "Means no pony should travel alone kid."
Her thoughts nearly spoke out loud they never assume it was a filly who killed the foals of Filldelphia they were always looking for them mares or stallions. Her face etched horror of the scene but her eye's were full of delight for saving another pony from a grim fate. The day was wearing on, her heart was beating erratic for not collecting today's toll.
She spotted a grey filly with a no cutie mark that was scared of the bloody scene shaking in her hooves. The cobble stones echoed with many adults walking by attempting to ignore such a gruesome scene as the guard work cursing at the possible killer's.
"Ah poor soul she look's like she needs to be saved." came the innocent yet dark voice as she watched the grey filly run from the crowd.
The Toll silently followed the little filly her grey fur barely visible in the dusk light as she ran down the alley way in a hurry. The grey filly felt a strange fear as she saw the white unicorn following her so she ran natural for a child. As she ran down the dark alley's attempting to elude this white unicorn her hooves slowed down as she heard this Celestia song.
"Oh little filly don't be silly this is a gift from me to you" her voice serenaded the air causing the filly to stumble and fall. She could not control her body anymore so she looked around to see a little filly around her age the same one who followed her.
"Whaa is happ..enin.g." she attempted to stand but a cruel child like smiled danced across the white siren's voice as a mask slid over her face feathers tipping out the side of it.
"Oh little filly I might really be your savior." her tongue clicked at the end of the verse causing the grey filly to try and back into a corner.
A cruel but enlightening thought entered her mind "Oh I should try something new I can save the heart for … laast."
"My damsel in distress I will not wear you like a dress." her voice skipped a few tones as she used her unicorn power's to put her into a trance they must be saved, all of them must they must her mind was racing.
The night danced across the sky as a macabre scene was visible at hoof on this tattered side of town was hiding a gruesome scene. The toll was slowly ripping the mane off the filly causing dribble of blood to touch the cobbled road. She smiled darkly using her power to slam a nearby barrel on the filly causing a thickening crunch audible to her ears.
"My little damsel they will not scar, my heart is not black as tar." she dragged the little filly whose fantasy was to read books with her grand mare while waiting for her parents to pick her up.
The grey filly thought to herself ahh such a wonderful fantasy as her mane hair left a bloody trail. Sweetie belle remembered there was a knife shop not to far from here. Using her powers she dragged the pony hitting every little bump causing the body to twitch. She got her caught between some stones her left foreleg that wouldn't come undone. She pulled until the leg split open from body bleeding all over the road.
"Damn she might not last long enough." there was a nearby torch glowing at the shops entrance.
"Ahh Celestia bless you." a voice with soft tones spoke as she raised the torch to the bleeding stump you could smell the burning flesh.
The filly twitching violently her fantasy intensified as the reading was beginning to scare her and it took longer for her parents to come as she waited patiently. The door to knives are wives opened as the bolts were pulled out she pulled it open entering this heaven of useful tools.
She joyously placed the fantasizing pony on a display table singing with a gleeful repertoire.
"My dear is time for a knife from the lonely wife." her hooves picked up the biggest knife she could handle a serrated blade with yak horn for a handle there was a little signature on the hilt P.P.
"Hmm not sure what that means perhaps personal pony." she thought out loud.
She used her magic and flung the large knife straight into the filly's cutie mark sticking her to the table keeping her in place.
"Ahhh yes closer now." she flung another knife over and over marking a slow trail towards the heart.
Creating a gaping hole in the side of the filly a sight so gruesome any grown pony would have screamed at the sight. This body was carved open displaying the innards of this little pony. The heart was magically manipulated to pump doing a better job than last time so she thought. Her ribs were pulled outwards making the heart visible to her eyes she wordlessly smiled at her handiwork as she helped this poor filly from living a life without a cutie mark.
"Yes oh yes this is wonderful another one almost saved." she said with conviction in her voice.
The toll began wakening her victim as her voice stopped singing ending the spell. A scream barely gurgled from her throat, she awoke feeling no pain and nothing but pain at the same time a confusing sensation as she could barely turn her head. what she saw was her body open like a museum for all to see. Her eye's rolled to the back of skull as the life departed from her angelic face in a echoed misery. The toll smiled and used the blood to make her mark, another was saved by the Toll you could be saved next......
Author's Note
I don't see many horror stories with Sweetie Belle as the killer so I wanted to add a twist by giving her an alternate personality who does all the killing while she remains *pure* Of course this is just another selfish story I wanted to write.
