Burning Darkness

The throne room of Canterlot was completely silent, all nine mares were each practically holding their breath waiting until something would happen. Then Twilight spoke, " What do you think Celestia, do you think that stallion did it", Celestia sighed.

" Hard to say, that boy did show an incredible amount of power, but Ozore is still a dangerous foe", Celestia said.

" That reminds me, how is it that you and Luna, us, and Discord failed to defeat him, but this one guy managed to give Ozore a run for his bits. What magic does he have that we don't", Twilight asked.

" To be honest, I don't know, I've never seen anything like that before, hopefully that power was enough to finish Ozore once and for all", Celestia said. Then the nine mares heard hoof steps coming towards the door to the throne room, they begun to hold their breath again. The door opened, and to their surprise, it was Flare, all covered in scars and what not, he also seemed exhausted. The mares let out sighs of relief as they saw Flare walk into the room, Flare let out a chuckle.

" How rude of me to keep all you ladies waiting", Flare said.

" Indeed", Rarity said with a scoff, then everyone burst out in laughter, followed by cheering from the mares. Flare walked by each of the shackles that were holding the mares in place and melted them using his magic. When the mares stood up, they stretched like they never got off the ground before.

" How did you do it", Twilight asked.

" Let's just say that I had a little motivation during the final battle", Flare said. Pinkie Pie started jumping up in the air faster then Flare could keep track of.

" Yay, now we can have a I just defeated an evil tyrant from conquering all of Equestria party", Pinkie Pie said with a wide grin. Flare let out a chuckle.

" Believe me, I could go for a party after all this", Flare said. The mares all then gave their undying thanks to Flare, Rarity even gave Flare a kiss on the cheek as a sign of thanks. Celestia then walked up to Flare.

" Tell me, what's your name young colt", Celestia asked.

" It's Flare, Fire Flare", Flare said.

" Well Flare, you have done Equestria a great service, and we won't forget it, and I believe that the residents of Equestria would love to here of our current victory", Celestia said. Clestia then made a projection of herself and sent it throughout Equestria, similar to when Ozore did it. Then she spoke, " Citizens of Equestria I have an enouncement to make, Ozore has been defeated and is no longer a threat to Equestria, and I want to introduce to you the stallion who brought an end to Ozore's tyranny", Celestia said. She then moved aside and Flare appeared in the projection.

" Hello everyone, my name is Fire Flare, and yes you heard correct, I was the one who killed Ozore, his threat will no longer plague Equestria. But this does not mean that Equestria is completely safe from evil, but know this, if another evil tries to threaten Equestria, I'll be on the front lines to face it, thank you all", Flare said. When Flare turned around to leave the sight of the projection,he swore he could hear the faintest sound of ponies cheering from all around Equestria.

" So Flare, now that you are a hero of Equestria, what would you like as a reward, wealth, a mansion, we could even grant you the position on the Royal Guard, so what would it be", Luna asked.

" I'll have to think about it, but right now, all I want is some sleep", Flare said. Everyone was laughing after that statement.

Celestia then spoke." Very well, then I think we should all acquaint ourselves tomorrow", Celestia said.

" That sounds good to me", Flare said.

Over the next couple of months, things were getting a lot brighter for Equestria. Celestia and Luna had found a spell that would mend their wings to their backs and have them fully functional. Flare also found a spell that would return the sight in his left eye again, but the scars still remain. He was also appointed to the Royal Guard, and now is a high ranking soldier. With the savings he earned, Flare purchased a house at Canterlot and is now living there. Flare was also well acquainted with Twilight and her friends, also he met Spike and Big Macintosh, the two he usually hangs out with when he gets the chance, also on his birthday, Fluttershy got him a Fox Red Labrador Retriever. Flare named him Blazer . And finally Princess Celestia created a stained glass window of Flare overwhelming Ozore in a heated battle. It now seems as though that the story of Fire Flare has come to a happy and satisfying end.

There is one little detail though that bugs Flare a lot. What's the deal with him transforming when he gets pissed? Oh well, it looks like that will be a new adventure for another time.
