Captain Williams, commanding the HMS Assurance, finds himself and his crew in a strange realm of mythical creatures and magics. The inexperienced captain must hold himself and his crew together as the face challenges that seem to have sprung from fairytales, and he must take it on himself to find a way back home and forge relations between these strange creatues and the British Empire.
