The Lost Writings of Miyamoto Musashi

It has been  three weeks since I wrote this.Quill has been quite the talkative one for being my assistant.

Bastion is doing quite well as General as there are some yari  and bow ashigaru for his army.I having considered rebuilding the castle into a grand tenshu.Fortunately,the walls are done quite quickly before winter.So the our position is secure.Several gate houses,Imclimbable smooth walls and many archery towers just made this castle town impregnable from the outside.Time to spread Buddha's teaching to everyone.I instructed the ponies to build a Buddhist temple on a hill which was simply breathtaking according to my plans,as this province has vital resources for construction and trade.

Our Farms have been yielding food and our food problem has been solved.I have been also teaching Bastion the ways of Bushido and buddhism and Quill calligraphy.Bastion is quite the quick learner of this new way and The Art of War.Now he can even train the weakest of ponies into warfare, and our army has been growning into the thousands.Quill is improving to in her calligraphy and even some respected her for her writing.She could even be my diplomat if she can master it.

"My Lord,one of the samurai families wants to marry their daughter to you."This news again.The nobles want to seek a closer bond between me and them.Unfortunately,I'm not ready to have a son.

So I gave the reply saying'No.I'm not ready' everytime to them.

Also,we have a new  Head Blacksmith of the Miyamoto clan,Forge.This is when I meet her.

"You are the new lord of the Crystal Empire...Wow...you look much better than that bastard,well we'll see in the coming months and years."Good,this one speak out her thoughts well, a value needed for a black smith.

"Greetings,you must be Forge.I think you could my best ally in weaponry making as I have many ideas for changing the army as  a new era of warfare is changing and with it,means to secure ourselves against anyone who has the wits to challenge us."I greeted and bowed.She did same back.

"Quite a speech you had there.So what can you offer us we don't already have?"

"I can teach how to make steel,which is much more stronger than these crystal weapons.With my knowledge,you could make one of the deadliest weapons of the battlefield,the katana.With you can make deadier weapons,the yari,the naginata, the composite bow,the wakazashi,superior arrows,kodachi,tanto,nagamaki,uchigatama,kodachi and nodaichi.If we have gunpowder,we can have matchlocks,cannons,mangonels and fire rockets and bombs.We could have a deadly arsenal for our troops."

"That's a huge variety you just gave out."

"Maybe I should start first that spears and swords will not be enough for our army and the enemy will soon can predict you will have the weapons, they could start countering us in battle.Maybe I should ask Quill to send paper,ink and a brush to my room,I might need to draw some plans of our weapons to you."

"Hmph.We'll see.But I'm busy right now.When you have your plans,have someone to send me them and I'll it can be doable or not."

"One more thing,Here is a guide on how to make our steel and you might need an assistant to make steel."I said while taking out the book.

"Hmm.I can read this up when I'm free."She said while she went back to her work.

We are ready to release the divine wind to those who challenge us.
