I love traveling by flying carriage it was so much faster than a carriage being pulled on the ground… We landed a few minutes away from the hotel. Once the carriage had landed safely the 4 Pegasus guards lightly trotted to the hotel a few blocks down. The guards stopped outside the hotel. It was no surprise to see the paparazzi, the reporters and many professional photographers waiting to capture the perfect picture of us. ‘The newly wed royals’ I looked to bolero with a slight blush and in annoyance. I didn’t want this, I wanted to just enjoy the rest of our wedding night in peace but I guess that wasn’t going to happen just yet and it angered me. Bolero knew I wasn’t happy, he sighed and spoke to me in the sweetest tone. “You knew this was going to happen you’re the HOT new celebrity in Equestria now and everyone wants to capture you...” I shot him a glance, the tease always made me smile when I was angry. “I’m not a ‘celebrity’ and I don’t want to be captured. I just want to relax with you alone…. Can’t we just stay here until there gone or you fly us to our hotel room?” I tried with the saddened eyes but it didn’t work… “No, we have to go inside. These guards need to get back to Canterlot to help with the mess and if you don’t want to talk you don’t have to just smile, wave and trot quickly.” “Fine, but I still don’t want to…” He smirked again. “What.” I raised my eyebrow in curiosity. “The quicker we leave this carriage and get to our room the quicker I can show you what a night in bed with me is like…” With that he magically had his tie and tux back on and had got out of the carriage. Leaving me blushing and his hand gestured to me, waiting for me to except it and be helped out of the comforting carriage. I reluctantly took his hand as I quickly refastened my armoured crest and stepped out of the carriage being greeted by a thousand flashes. I stood with Bolero feeling very self-conscious that all eyes were on me. I mean I was used to people looking at me and people taking notice of me. But that was work and this was personal. Bolero and I was never together in public. It was forbidden for a royal to date a commoner. The only people that knew were my parents and Celestia eventually found out. Once I became captain, I was higher power the only person above me was Celestia, Luna and Bolero himself. It was considered normal for nobles or high powerful people to date royalty. That’s when it was announced and boy did Bolero know how to embarrass me… It was a normal day; I was giving the whole of the royal guard the main issues of the city that needed to be addressed for that week, when Bolero had walked up the middle of the meeting. The meeting was held in one gigantic hall with 2 columns of chairs and a middle walk way. When bolero got about 2 feet from me and stopped I wondered what was wrong. Then he turned to the rest of the hall excusing himself for his interruption, saying it was of up most urgency that he does this. By now my lieutenant and the higher and personal friends of mine had started to smile. (Looking back now bolero must have told them) Bolero turns back to me, by now I have a very confused expression plastered on my face. He proceeded forward and got down on one knee. At this point I started to question if I was dreaming or having a nightmare as I was sure Bolero wouldn’t do this to me but alas he did. The words were spoken crystal clear. ‘Captain Shining Armor, would you do me the honour of sharing the rest of your life with me as my husband…. Shine, honey, will you marry me…’ that’s when the golden box came out and inside was a horn golden ring. I was in shock after what felt like forever I finally spoke the words ‘of course sweetheart I love you.’ (It may seem cheesy to you but it was the best day of my life) and with that Celestia announced it hours later. I wore that ring for 5 long months before it was replaced with the ring that’s on my horn right now, a golden band with a single diamond. Bolero’s is the same to match. I felt Bolero's arm come round by back pulling me in as he whispered. “Just smile, wave and trot. Let me do the talking.” His whisper sent shivers down my spine and made me weak at the knees. We trotted slowly towards the hotel entrance, Bolero giving me time to take everything in. Bolero trotted confidently and with purpose, this made me feel more confident as I matched his pace and stature. As we walked question after question was shouted at us. Even though his attention was on me, Bolero still answered to every question with the same answer: “Me and my husband have no comment. If you wish to discuss certain details with us, you will have to contact the royal Canterlot office and they will direct you. Thank you.” Question after question most about us and what we would be doing for the rest of the night. I blushed at this the reporters ate up my embarrassment. Bolero pulled me in for a rough kiss it didn’t help the situation much but me made feel good and I felt my embarrassment fade as I excepted the kiss and then pulled away to trot towards the door keeping my eye locked on Bolero. He got the hint he playfully trotted towards me we kept our eyes locked the entire time. I was done caring who saw and apparently so had Bolero. He roughly picked me up as we neared the door. He placed me down by the door as one of the guards opened it. I heard someone mention something about the invasion. I found myself feeling sick and before Bolero could stop me. I angrily walked over to the reporter. “What did you just say…?” Silence… “I asked you a question ma’am.” “I err… was just saying that you would have been…better off...err” “Yes, go on…. What would I have been better off with….” I stared daggers at this reporter. Luckily for her Bolero stepped in. “Honey, come on. Let's enjoy the rest of our night.” He kissed my neck, that was enough for me to turn away and walk with bolero up to our hotel suite. Inside our suite was lovely and luxurious. The bed was huge not as big as Bolero’s in his chambers but big enough. The carpets were like clouds when bare hooves touched them. It was heaven and Bolero could see I loved it. “Like?” “Like…. LIKE! I love this!!” “Well get used to it this is what your life as a prince will feel like.” “P.....prince….” “Yes baby, you’re a prince now. When we get back you will start to perform princely duties.” “Wait so I’m no longer a captain….” “No shine, but you can still participate in the things you used to do but you will be the one making the orders not following and reporting them. Also are you okay you suddenly look like you’re not here but miles away.” “Oh okay… and yes I’m fine just a minor headache.” “Okay but if it gets worst just tell me, I know….” “A healing spell…” “Yeah, how do you know?” “You… Well the king pretending to be you used it on me but I’m going to guess he also used that as an excuse to control me…” it saddened me again. “Probably but no worries it’s over, no damage was done so forget the prince stuff for now; back to tonight and the rest of the week ahead!” “Yes! Of Course this is our week.” I perked up; knowing this week was going to be the best. The first thing I did was undress, I got out of my wedding outfit so did Bolero. Stripped down to our naked bodies a long and passionate week lay ahead for us… //-------------------------------------------------------// The Complications become clear... //-------------------------------------------------------// The Complications become clear... Yes it was a lovely week… I’m not going to describe the week as it’s my private week with Bolero. I will say it was passionate and I loved every second, I was sad to go home to Canterlot. Before we left the hotel, I got another headache it had been happening all week I would suddenly feel like my skull was splitting into 2. Bolero had healed me with his magic a few times but I needed something to make these stop as this time it was way stronger. Bolero had to pour a lot of magic into me before I felt better. We took the lift down to the ground floor, where the carriage was waiting and as I stepped out of the lift I went dizzy. I heard the guard and Bolero call my name as I saw the world go black. I opened my eyes to a strange place I was standing in the middle of nowhere it looked like. Just overgrown bushes and tall trees as I turned around I saw a big black castle. I walked towards it; I thought someone could help me as I was unsure as to what had just happened. I also wanted to know where I was as seconds before I was in the hotel lift. I approached the walls and gates with caution; I saw the main gates and no one in sight. I gave the gates a push and walked inside. (Now I know I shouldn’t have just waltzed in but I didn’t know where I was. I wanted answers and wouldn’t you do the same?) As I entered the castle walls I was shocked to see little homes surrounding the castle that had holes in they looked like little blocks of black Swiss cheese surrounding a huge block. I carried on walking towards the castle, when I heard the sound of Bolero’s voice. I followed the sound to find him tied to a pole that was on fire. I ran towards him but before I could reach him everything went black. I awoke in a hot sweat with bolero standing over my body. He helped me sit up and check I was okay. “We lost you there, are you okay.” His face showing worry and concern. “Yes, I’m fine love, what happened?” “You just dropped to the floor like a stone and have been out cold for about 5 minutes.” “I think I need to see a doctor baby, but I’m fine for now. I just want to get home.” “Yeah, I will get the royal doctors to look you over tonight, come on let me help you shine.” He helped me up and wrapped his arm around me holding me close as we slowly walked to the carriage. We got into the carriage and we was off back to Canterlot. I was grateful I hadn’t worn anything to heavy or professional either. I had on my favourite pair of black tight jeans and a white vest covered by a shirt, Bolero’s favourite one. It was a yellow and pink checked shirt with an accent of purple lines running downwards. Bolero was in red jeans and a white shirt with black checks. In the carriage Bolero kept his arm around my neck and was giving me a cuddle. The cuddle got stronger wings wrapping around me. Making me get flustered, I’m glad bolero like to play but he did pick the wrong time to… Although his cuddles were the best I felt like nothing could hurt me and I hated when he pulled away. He then proceeded to kiss me. I let bolero take control in the hotel as he was bigger and stronger than me and I wasn’t going to fight him. I’m sure he would win anyway he was about 6 inches taller and his horn was sharper too. The more he kissed the rougher he was becoming. He got rougher I was enjoying it until I had to stop him… “Bolero stop.” “Shhhh… baby its fine.” “No it’s not.” Bolero pulled away in shock. “What. You love this attention, what’s wrong?” “I’m feeling sick and…” As I went to finish my answer I coughed up blood. “Oh god… guards land this instant…I” I passed out before I heard the rest of Bolero's sentence. I came back to the castle, now knowing that this was just me being out I knew everything was fine. I wandered around before going into the castle entrance. I walked the halls looking at all the beautiful paintings. I turned a corner and opened the double doors in front of me to come face to face with him… I awoke again with a banning headache but this time I didn’t see bolero insight. I called and a doctor came in followed by Bolero. “Oh good your awake, you okay baby?” “I have a headache but apart from that I feel fine, where am I?” “We are at Canterlot castle and this is 1 of the royal doctors.” “Prince Shining Armor you are suffering with complications. These complications include: • Vomiting • Nose bleeds • Headaches • Blackouts • Elucidation • Partial Memory loss And strange food cravings to name the common ones. This is because you was under a strange magical hold and the spell that was place wasn’t removed normally but brutally causing complications to your recovery. Not to mention you was under a lot of mental strain leading up to the invasion. We will have to keep an eye on you but other than that you are free to go. I will come and check on you personally 2 mornings from now. Any questions? Your highnesses.” “No thank you doctor it make sense but why not straight after the invasion, why is it delayed.” “It takes time for your brain to realise there is something wrong and react, this is it's reaction to freak out basically. My Princes.” Bolero helped me off the bed and he helped me walk to our newly designed chambers. Celestia had them installed while we was on our honeymoon. There was a main chamber and 5 chambers leading off. The first to the right was a study with library. Twily would have flipped if she saw the collection of books. The second to the right held a gaming room, we both loved to play all different games together. The middle was our bedchamber which had an on suite, double walk in wardrobe and an XL king size double luxurious bed completed with silk sheets and the fluffiest pillows. Above the bed was our wedding photo taken from the balcony where we had our first kiss as a married couple. To the right of the on suite was 2 glass doors leading on to the balcony overlooking the waterfall and Equestria land. -The first door on the left held our wedding presents and anything that we wanted to keep in private. -The second door on the left held a luxurious bathroom. (yes the on suite was in the bedroom and that held a shower, sink and toilet. Nice ones as well.) But the bathroom held a double bath/ Jacuzzi. The best way for a young married couple to play in. Bolero left me to sleep and recover while he went to report to Celestia to tell her what was going on. I awoke to Celestia and Bolero talking it was late from the looks of things as Luna's moon was high in the sky. “What’s going on…?” “Nothing baby, we're just thinking of how to cure you.” “Shining, when did this start?” “ the night of our wedding I had a minor headache and they have progressed into blackouts. I started feeling dizzy and I was seeing some weird things on our way back from the hotel. I woke up talking to the doctor.” “Okay, well if you experience anything else tell us immediately.” “Thanks Celestia I will.” “There is a meal for you here if you want it honey.” “I will leave you 2 to yourselves, see you tomorrow, night nephews.” “Night auntie Celestia.” “Night princess Celestia.” “Shining, just call me auntie.” “Yes… auntie.” Celestia left our chambers “Oh god baby." he laughed "What?" "Its just the way you said auntie, you seemed unsure." "Well when Equestria's sun god calls you her nephew for the first time its a bit of a shock." "Okay, You hungry love? ” “Yes I am, thanks honey.” Bolero handed me my meal. One of my favourites; daisy and daffodil sandwich with crisps. I was starving. “Do you want to take a shower or bath before bed?” “Yeah, I’m wide awake now, so yeah we can have a bath together…” I gave him a sly smirk. “I like where this is going but are you sure you want to after what happened in the carriage?” “Yeah I’m fine, please don’t fuss over me. Come on.” With that I finished my mouth full, got up and exited our bed chambers to enter our bathroom. I turned on the hot water and allowed it to fill as I did bolero came up behind me and kissed the back of my neck. He then brought a big box of my favourite chocolates from behind him and moved in front of me. He placed the box on the shelf next to the bath. He faced me giving me a hug. We proceeded to kiss that turned in to snogging. Which in turn led with us standing naked as we got in the bath. Bolero turned on the bubbles and opened the box of chocolates. We ate the whole box while chatting about different topics until it was late into the night. We got out of the bath at about 3am. I was again tired I had only slept for about 5 hours before I woke earlier at about 9pm. Bolero had not just gone to Celestia and asked her for help but had planned a night for us which we could relax. I thankfully didn’t have another headache until that morning. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Coronation //-------------------------------------------------------// The Coronation That morning I woke with a skull splitting headache and in a cold sweat. I hadn’t slept well. My dream had gone back to the castle. Where I had a fight and had died by the hands of that changeling. I opened my eyes to see Bolero was up and had gone to meet Celestia. I knew this from last night he mentioned something about my duties but I couldn’t remember and the headache made me not want to think! I walked to the bathroom to wash my sweaty body. I picked out my clothes. My white pair of ripped jeans and a mint coloured turtle neck vest top. I proceeded to brush my mane and tail. I add Bolero’s favourite scent he brought me and exited our chambers. Walking down the hall the headache didn’t ease up, I had to find Bolero so he could heal me. While painkillers would have probably worked they took a while to kick in and I didn’t believe they would be strong enough to tackle my head pain. As I walked guards bowed to me, saying your highness it felt strange. One guard my once lieutenant Spear Shield. Now captain, stopped in front of me bowed and then said: “Prince Shining Armor, Prince Bolero has just sent me to come and escort you to the throne room. Please follow me, your highness.” “Yes… but please Spear just call me shine.” “Nope I’m sorry Prince Shining Armor. All the guards and I are under direct orders from the Princesses, to call you Prince Shining Armor or Your highness and nothing else.” He bowed again. It took a while for me to get used to captain let alone Prince Shining Armor!!!! “But why it’s so time wasting. I don’t care about the title and you’re my friend.” “Direct orders, you’re….” “Fine please just lead the way.” “Of course your highness.” “Thank you captain.” I smirked at him. He tried and failed at holding a straight face. “Don’t like it?” “No, it’s just it feels strange calling you Prince and not captain. Along with you calling me captain and not lieutenant, you’re…” I placed my fingers on his lips. “Enough of calling me by that title, I think you have said it about 20 times in the last 5 minutes that we have been talking!” We continued to walk in silence all the way he tried to straighten his expression but it didn’t work he stayed smiling the entire time. We got to the throne room double doors the guards posted bowed saying in unison you’re highness. The doors opened and sitting on her throne in all her glory was Celestia with Luna and Bolero standing next to her. The room was full with nobles and other high classed people from all over. I was very confused to what was going on; I walked towards the 3 of them wondering what I had missed and why Luna was up this late it was about 11.30am. I would have guessed as I got up at about 10.40am. I knew it didn’t take that long to get dressed and walk to the throne room. When I was about 10 feet away from the throne it hit me as I saw them. I was being coronated; Bolero had reminded me and everything. I wasn’t dressed for this occasion let’s just say that. Then again I didn’t have smart clothes, I only had my uniform and my Armor the rest was casual wear and going out clothes. I wasn’t in anything that bad I mean it was casual but smart…ish. I wasn’t wearing any hoof shoes either. The 3 ‘royals’ didn’t look that dressed up anyway. Luna looked as if she was going to fall asleep. Bolero was wearing his shirt and smart trousers and both princesses were in dresses. “Shining Armor by marrying Prince Bolero, you have now officially joined the royal family and will be presented as a Prince yourself. With the power vested in me and as all of Equestria is concerned. Do you promise you will help lead our beautiful and peaceful kingdom as well as protect and serve its loyal people?” I knelt down as Celestia stood. “I Shining Armor will promise to help lead our beautiful and peaceful kingdom as well as protect and serve its loyal people as long as I draw breath.” “Then rise as Equestria’s newest Prince.” As I stood I felt the weight of the crown that now rested on my head not doing my headache any good. I then turned and looked straight forward and saw my little sister, mother and father. A guard brought a cushion with my own golden hoof shoes they matched Bolero's but with my cutie mark. I slipped them on and they felt funny. I preferred my hooves bare or my armoured boots. I would just have to get used to them as well as the weight of the crown. The hall then emptied out and I could finally tell Bolero about my pain. “Sweetie, can you heal me please, my head is really bad and this crown isn’t helping.” “Of course, how does it feel? To be a Prince?” He gave me the spell, my pain vanished in an instant. "It feels okay... going to take some getting used to and thanks sweetie that feels much better." I woke again with a terrible headache they seemed to be getting worse. This time Bolero was next to me. He healed me and I went to take a shower while waiting for the shower, I noticed my coat felt hard. Once I was in the shower, I realised my mane didn’t feel the same. I called Bolero. "Bolero do I look different to you?" “Well yeah, your coat looks tighter around your body and your mane looks like it has holes in it!” “Wait what!” I got out and Bolero showed me sure enough; I had weird holes in my mane and tail on a closer look. “Well you are seeing the doctor today maybe he can tell us or Celestia?” “Okay I will finish and then can we go to her.” I finished my shower and dressed. I slipped on a pair of jogging bottoms and a vest. Placed my crown on my head and slipped on the more comfortable golden shoes. We rushed down to Celestia and she knew immediately. "Shining don’t panic but I believe your turning into a changeling. Not a full changeling but a changeling body." “Nothing to worry about! Why is this happening?” “Luckily I have been prepared for this so I checked it out. (She was reading from a book now) The mind control spell was forced off your brain so it didn’t leave properly which means that who placed it on you can see this happening. It's changeling magic but it will wear off and you should change back but if the changeling who cast the spell. Comes in contact with you while the change is active then they can make it permant.” “Okay auntie so all we have to do is keep a shape shifting being away from my husband and he has the advantage cause he knows this is happening and he can be anyone of us!!!! How are we going to stop this!! I nearly lost him once to that bug I’m not going to this time!” "Woah calm down baby, I’m sure everything will be okay all I have to do is stay in the castle until it wears off…. How long does it take?" “It takes about 4 weeks for it to fully go, starting from when the spell was forced off.” “Okay the wedding was nearly 2 weeks ago so I just need to stay somewhere safe for 2 weeks until then with minimal contact. where is the best place?” “Our room? No one comes in there and we can have a safe word setup for the 4 guards that watch our door and I will stay with you the entire time.” “Perfect I will have everything set up within the hour you two go to your room and be careful.” "Okay thanks Celestia." Me and Bolero walked back arms linked, my head was tucked into his chest. “I’m sorry this has happened…” “No this isn’t your fought. Thanks to Twilly, the changeling king was stopped by me and my husband’s love. After that, we had the real wedding and danced the night away. An hour before midnight we were set to depart, out of Canterlot to a luxurious hotel in Manehattan as Celestia had requested the very best for the newly wed royals, she called us. Next to me was the one I love, the handsome Prince Bolero. The handsome stallion of my dreams, I lay my head against his muscular chest, which was covered by his wedding outfit: a white vest and tie covered by a blue tux. A pair of blue trousers, completed with his golden royal hoof shoes and his crown. While I wore my service uniform; my red dress shirt, blue trousers (to match Bolero’s) and my armoured crest, completed by my armoured boots. I felt his arm go around my back as he rested his head on mine. “It’s been a crazy day, hasn’t it Shine?” “Yep who’d of thought we would be banishing changelings hours before getting married.” “Well I had hoped I had been more aware of your weird behaviour weeks before!” I sat up at this and looked deep into his eyes. “Wait…weeks, what you mean by weeks! I thought you were just taken a few days before the wedding, how long were you down there?” “I would say about 3 weeks give or take a week or so, why did you not know I was missing?” his face saddened. Then it hit me I hadn’t been able to tell that the king of the changelings, (Morphalis I believe his name was…) was impersonating Bolero for about a month and I hadn’t even the slightest idea! “No, I didn’t notice Bolero. When Celestia had told me there was a threat and told me to place the shield up it drained my power and energy. Along with trying to be the captain of the royal guards, keep everyone counted for and help ‘you’ with preparations when possible. I really had no idea. I’m so sorry.” I felt sick; I couldn’t even notice my husband to be was replaced, how was i going to be the husband he deserved. My ears dropped as I stared at the floor of the carriage. I couldn’t bring myself to look at Bolero knowing I caused everything that had happened. I felt so guilty. He lifted my chin so he can look me in the eyes. “Hey shine, it’s okay. Even Celestia couldn’t tell! Along with that no-one knew that changelings existed. They were meant to be extinct a long time ago. Plus at the invasion you was under a mind control spell. I spoke to your lieutenant, Spear Shield I believe. He said you weren’t yourself until we banished the bugs. So please don’t blame yourself, like I know you are….it’s not your fault.” He gave me a smirk, he knows me to well. Knowing that when I look down and say quiet that I’m hiding something. I gave him a playful shove. He was smiling. He placed his arms around me and we shared a hug. I felt better. When we let the hug go he undid his tie and took off his tux. I proceed to remove my armoured crest. He then re-wrapped me in a hug and we shared a long passionate kiss.
