"Wake up James."

"Bouchard? Raine? What's happened to you?!"

Grayson looked up and see a mutated Hag flying in front of him, but something its voice, it belonged to Raine.

"I am the Chrysalis, I knew you would come."

"No... NO! What have they done?!"

Grayson was shocked, to say the least, he had found the remains of Raine's body inside the tower, her remains were all splattered over the floor.

And yet here she was, talking to Grayson with a mutated form that resembles a Hag.

"You promised to help me, James"

Out of nowhere, Raine starts to attack Grayson's mind with her psychic powers.

"Aaaaaagh!!!!" "Get out of my head!"

"You think you can resist, but you are mistaken. Join us"

"The way my brother joined you?!" "It's too late Raine"

"The serum's already spreading. like a virus!" "The entire system is collapsing!"

"How many carriers have already left infected Raine?" "How long before this is all gone?!"

Raine suddenly started to scream really loud..

"Aaargh!!!"

Grayson had awoken from his nightmare.

"Raine..."

Even tough Raine's death was justified, Grayson could never let her death go.

Killing her hurt himself more then it did to Raine, even tough he was angry and distrustful of her, he din't want to her to end up having a death like that.

He already knew the how the pain felt of losing someone close to you to the Chimera like that.

His Brother was the prime example of this thing, his brothers death caused Grayson to go on a personal vandetta, ending up destroying countless of conversion centers for vengeance.

Once a person is infected with the Chimera virus, there is no hope for them left. The only known cure for this virus is to put the victim out of his misery.

"Are you alright Grayson?" Coming from his partner Sergei. He was a person among the Russian refugees that Grayson met after the battle of Warsaw, they became a good team, especially since Sergei knew the streets of Kiev like his head.

"Don't mind me, are you ready to get up that arse of yours and join me in killing some of those gray skins?

"You really seem hell bent on killing the Chimera are you?" "We could use more people like you, who are not afraid to fight the Chimera head on. I am not just bent on killing them, I am going to wipe the Chimera from the face of the earth!"

"That's the spirit!" "Now where are we headed?"

"We are going to blow up that nearby conversion center, even tough the carrier strain has been dying out, they already have a new conversion process ready, so I like to give em last goodbye party before they die"

"Very well, lead on Tommy" Sergei joked.

"Please don't call me that, you are bringing back memories of a person I never want to think off again"

"Alright mate"

Grayson and Sergei were getting their gear ready, Grayson pulled out his trusty .44 Magnum.

"Too bad they didn't have these during the battle of the London tower."

Grayson found this weapon on the bodies from one of the Americans who traveled to Russia. The magnum .44 is from American origins and has special bullets that can be exploded once it has impacted something.

"same here , those things are excellent in taking out those armored drones, especially when they swarm you with those things."

Grayson and Sergei headed out and started walking trough the now ruined streets of Kiev.

"I have been meaning to ask, what has happened to the former colonel of the Marquis? You had to take this position only recently."

"Yeah funny you ask, I killed him."

"Damn mate, your reason for killing him would probably have been for a good reason, but killing fellow humans is not a very good thing to do in these times when the Chimera are hunting down humanity as it, especially with only how much of us are left"

"He was a total bonker, a power hungry moron that only didn't care much for others. At first he still had some reason left for me not to end his life, but when he later somehow later managed to infect himself, i knew what i had to do.

"Now that makes more sense"

Grayson and Sergei were walking further down the street until they saw something in the distance.

"Hide," Grayson said

Grayson looked over his cover and saw what was ahead of them.

"Boyle thought they were only in Europe and Africa."

"Nah, they have been in Russia for a while now. Ever since the mental strain has been dying out, the conversion centers needed workers, and with all the Russian females that were stored inside the Chimeran towers it seems they decided to replace the menials with Boilers".

"Isn't that lovely." Grayson joked

They were about to engage them when they suddenly heard a scream, a female scream.

The sound of Bullseye fire could be heard in the distance.

"Grayson, what should we do?" Grayson showed a smug smile, "We do what we are good at, killing those gray gorillas"

"Are you going to do that?"

"What...." Grayson said surprised.

"Are you really going to kill them, James? Our former selves?" Grayson was listening in disbelief.

"You could have saved me you know, back in Bonn. But you were to late.... You let me become one of them."
