(Monday, studios, 'Tara Strong's' trailer, 6:00am....)
Twilight was groaning, still tired from her rough night of sleeping last night. She stayed up late because she needed to read the script she was handed over yesterday. She needed to read and practice her lines so she can 'be' her actor, so no-one will know the difference. Same thing with Sunset and Rainbow, only RD feel asleep after the first two pages.
She would've stayed up longer if it were a Daring Do script.
Just then, a knock on the door was made, along with a male voice. "Miss Strong, 60 minutes till shooting time!" he shouted before leaving Twilight to quickly get changed and have her breakfast. After doing that, she grabbed her script and put it in her 'new' bag. Twilight then opened the door and walked out of 'her' trailer to meet up with Sunset and Rainbow, who were waiting for her just in front of the studio doors.
"Hey, girls!" she said as she walked up to them. "How've you been?"
"Not bad. Rainbow fell asleep after reading the first two pages of the script while I managed to get to page 11." replied Sunset, who pulled out her script before placing it in her bag. Rainbow, on the other had, groaned from being tired.
"Hey!" she said. "You try reading something that ISN'T Daring Do! I mean, this script, it's SO BORING!!!" The rainbow-haired girl slapped her hands over her eyes and pulled down her bottom eyelids, indicating stress.
Sunset shook her head and said, "Well, Rainbow, not everyone is a big Daring Do fan like you. Some of us take interest in other things."
Rainbow just rolled her tired eyes. She didn't want to hear this speech again.
Just then, a young boy accidentally bumped into Sunset, making him drop the props he was carrying. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" he said as he squatted down to pick the stuff up. Sunset decided to help him out, so she did the same.
"No, it's my fault. I shouldn't have been standing in the middle of your way." she apologized to him. As they got back up from squatting, they took one look at each-others faces. Suddenly, time seemed to stop for them. Their hearts began to skip a beat and blood started to rush up to their heads, making them both blush.
The boy seemed to be 17 years-old. He had short pink hair and had light blue eyes, which had a pair of glasses over them. He wore a T-shirt that said 'I'm not a nerd, I'm a geek! Big difference.', baggy jeans, red sneakers and a grey cardigan with a hood. Around his neck was a lanyard with an ID card attached to it. It said, 'Cole Legna, age; 17, date of birth; 20/6/99.'
Then, they both snapped out if their trance. "U-um, thanks!" spoke the boy, named Cole. "It's my first week working here and I can't get my butt chewed out by the boss."
Sunset smiled at the boy. "No problem. And don't worry. I'm sure the boss will warm up to you eventually." she assured him.
"Thanks. I've heard a lot about you, Miss Shoichet! I'm a huge fan of your work!" he said with a nervous smile on his face.
Sunset waved her hands, showing 'no need'. "Please, no need to call me Miss Shoichet. It makes me sound an older woman." she told him. "Just call me Sun-*ahem* R-Rebecca."
"Oh! Okay, if you say so Miss Sh-I mean, Rebecca." he said, shaking her hand. "My name's Cole. Cole Legna. A strange last name, I know. It spells 'angel' backwards."
Sunset laughed as she just got that. "Well, I think it's a good name." Just then, Rainbow Dash came over to her and grabbed her by the shoulders.
"Look, it's been great meeting you, but we gotta roll." the rainbow haired girl said.
Cole nodded and started to walk. "Oh. I get it. You're very busy, probably need to do some acting, I get it. I gotta go myself anyways." He turned around to walk towards the place he was to go to. When he turned his back, he had a piece of paper on his back saying, 'Kick me! I'm a newbie!'
As he walked further away, many of the people who passed him laughed at the sign on his back. Of course, he didn't know why they were laughing, so he just shrugged it off. Sunset and Twilight were both disgusted by this. 'I can't believe these people!' thought Sunset.
Rainbow pushed Sunset along, who continued to be appalled by the prank being played on Cole.
"Come on! COME ON!!!!!"
Cold Cut kept growling in frustration, trying to get her powers to work. She tried to interrogate a nearby person earlier and attempted to lift the car to threaten him, only to fail at doing so. The man looked at her like she was crazy. "Ma'am, have you ever considered going to a nut-house?" Poor choice of words.
If there was one thing Cold Cut hated more than people wasting her time, it was people not taking her seriously. Only one thing she hated more than THAT was being treated like an insane person. Since she couldn't use her strength, she made him pay the old fashioned way!
A few moments later, the police arrived, only to find no trace of the culprit and a man beaten to a bloody pulp.
In a nearby bar, Cold walked inside and had no choice but to order a drink to calm herself down. She ordered a small, yet strong shot of whiskey. The bartender nodded and went to get her drink, leaving her to her thoughts.
'Alright, Cold Cut,' she thought to herself. 'Just think. Why aren't my powers working? I'm sure there MUST be an explanation. There......must.....be....'
She started to remember what Young Blood had told her when she first met him.
Flashback:
Young Blood stood there, smiling like a little child on his birthday. Cold got into battle stance, being ready to fight him. Then, Young bowed down and spoke.
"Good evening, Ms Cut. I've been looking forward to meeting you."
Cold never took her eyes off of him. "Who are you?! And where am I?!" she demanded.
Young chuckled when she asked him these questions. "Oh yes! So rude of me. I am Young Blood. At your service, Milady." he said, with a polite bow. Cold was not impressed.
"As to where you are, well...." he continued. "Let's just say....you're not in YOUR city, right now."
Cold Cut growled in frustration, clearly not happy with his answer. "What do you mean 'NOT IN MY CITY'?!" She then pulled out her knife, threatening him to be more specific with his answers. However, instead of fear, she got a calm and chuckling reaction from him.
"I mean, Milady, that we're not in YOUR version of your city. We are, in fact, in another world, one alternate, parallel and/or opposite to the one you're from. Judging by that look on your face, I assume that you've heard of my name before?" he said.
Cold was piecing it together in her mind. "Yes. YES! You're Young Blood, the dangerous, bloodthirsty warlock from a comic-book series called 'Blood Ties'!" she exclaimed.
"Correct, Milady! Only, as you can see, I'm more than just a character. Well, here, anyway." Young said. That sentence just confused Cold Cut more.
"W-what?" Confusion filled her face more and more by the second. She really hated being confused. Her mentor always said that confusion messes with your head, which throws you off your target.
Young chuckled again at her confusion. "You see, Ms Cut, in your world, I'm just a fictional character. BUT, in this world, I'm real. Just as how there's a world out there, where YOU are nothing but a fictional character."
"WHAT?!!! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!"
"It's really simple, Ms Cut." explained Young. "The secret to the Multiverse is 'Meta', like Meta-fiction. Each world is considered fake or fictional in another. Who knows, maybe, out there, there's a world where this very meeting we're having is a fanfiction story being written by a 23 year-old British guy on his laptop in his bedroom."
This shocked Cold Cut completely! Knowing that in a world, she was a character created by somebody for someone-else's amusement.
"Now, with that out of the way," spoke Young. "I have a proposal for you..."
End flashback:
Cold Cut groaned at herself for forgetting such an important fact. OF COURSE her powers don't work here! With her being a fictional character in most worlds, her powers won't work in those worlds. Especially in a world where magic and Sci-Fi are just tools for entertainment.
'Well, I guess I just have to find those girls and deal with them the old fashioned way.' she thought. Just then, the bartender returned with her order.
"Here you go, Ma'am." he said. Cold thanked him and gave him the money for the drink.
"I just hope Young's doing a better job than me." she muttered before taking a sip of her drink.
"Equestria Girls, scene 4, take 1. Mark it!"
(SNAP!)
"ACTION!"
The girls were surrounded by the film crew, who were beginning to film them for the next scene of the episode. Standing next to them, was a young boy named Vincent Tong, who was actor of Flash Sentry. He was wearing the human version of the Royal Canterlot Guard back in Equestria.
This character he was currently playing as was someone named Bold Sword, a surviving soldier from Equestria who got sucked into a pocket dimension. The story plot of the EQG episode was that Sunset, Twilight and Rainbow Dash get sucked into a pocket dimension and have to get back home.
This 'pocket dimension' is a place that is made up of places from the prisoners' memories, making it a mixture of both Canterlot High and Equestria. On the side of the set, there were pony puppets, laying on the wall.
It was time to act. Vincent begins to perform, speaking in a gruff voice. "I understand this must be confusing for you. But I don't have time to explain, for now." He walked towards the camera, facing it. He then turned around to face the girls.
Suddenly, the cameras were on them. All three of them just froze, unsure what to do or say. Then, Twilight started to speak, "W-w-w-well...w-what do you mean?"
"CUT!" shouted the director, Lauren Faust. "Tara, what're you doing? That's Ashleigh's line!" Twilight apologized as Vincent returned to the staring point. The girls then remembered their lines. They had to try this.
"Action!"
"I understand this must be confusing for you. But I don't have time to explain, for now." repeated Vincent, doing the same thing as before.
This time, Rainbow Dash took a step forward and spoke her lines. "What the hell do you mean, buster?" she said, too nervously.
"CUT!"
"Come on, Ashleigh! Be more mad!" shouted Lauren Faust. Rainbow gave the director a nervous smile. They tried again.
(Take 3)
"I understand this must be confusing for you. But I don't have time to explain, for now."
"What the hell do you mean, buster?"
"Yeah, w-where are we?"
"CUT!!!!"
(Take 5)
"What the hell do you mean, mister?"
"CUT!!!!"
(Take 6)
"Yeah, where are we?"
"This place you're in, it's a different place, yet the same place."
"..............."
"CUT!!!!!"
(Take 9)
Sunset briefly reads her part. "Being confused," she reads the part that states on how she's supposed to sound. "And how do we get back home?"
"CUT!!!!"
Rainbow shakes her head in exhaustion before wiping her hands all over her face.
(Take 12)
"Well, why bring us here?" Twilight says, looking at the camera. Sunset notices this and slowly leans towards her.
"Twilight, calm down." she whispers to her friend. "Just don't look at the camera."
Twilight looked at her, confused. "What?"
Rainbow Dash quietly whispered, "Look anywhere BUT the camera!" Not knowing what to do, Twilight decides to look at the ground while repeating her line.
"Well, why bring us here?" she said.
"CUT!!!!" shouted the director, whose all confused herself. "For the love of...."
(Take 15)
"So, I-if we find a key, then we find a-a l-lock? And if we find that lock, we open a door. Of course, because it's a lock, which also has a key. Because that's what doors have and-"
"We need to get all three of that crap!"
"Wait, what?"
"That's how 'Ashleigh Ball' does it. I did a little research on her."
"CUT!!!!!"
Rainbow had just about enough of this. "Look, do we really need all these lines? I mean, I-I-I think we've covered it." Everyone looked at her with confused looks.
"Um, we just had a rough night, last night." Sunset lied. "R-request to do this tomorrow?"
Lauren Faust stared at the three girls for a short while before speaking, "Alright, request granted. We continue tomorrow. MOVING ON!"
"MOVING ON!!!!!"
Relieved, the girls sat down at the end of the set. Then, Vincent came up to them and asked, "Guys, you alright? You seem pretty out of it today."
Sunset and Twilight both did some research on this guy. He was the actor of Flash Sentry, Sunset's ex-boyfriend and Twilight's crush. It felt weird for both of them, with him having the exact same face as Flash.
Sunset shook her head and replied, "Yeah, um, we just.....had a late night, that's all."
"Well, okay then. Just let me know if you need anything." he said. Before he left, he turned to Rainbow. "Oh. And Ashleigh, I hope you and I get the chance to have that third date sometime."
As he left, that sentence left the girls in a state of shock. Vincent and Ashleigh, Flash and Rainbow....DATING?!!!! Sunset was so confused while Twilight tried to hide her feeling of jealousy away and Rainbow tried so hard not to puke.
After recovering from the shock, the they decided to leave to studio. "Let's get out of here!" suggested RD. The others followed her.
