//-------------------------------------------------------// The Great Switch! -by Equestria Girls Fan 94- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// 1. Mysterious letter... //-------------------------------------------------------// 1. Mysterious letter... Worlds come in so many ways. Similar in some aspects, yet very different in others. Some say the difference in these realities are the events taken place within them. One thing happens in one universe while the opposite happens in another. A theorist theorized that the REAL key to these alternate worlds is choice. Three worlds are made; 1st world where one side of a choice is made, 2nd world where the opposite choice was made and the 3rd world where the choice wasn't made at all. What if I was to tell you that the TRUE key to the multi-verse....is 'Meta-Fiction'? There are two things that separate real from fiction. One is made from pure imagination while the other is recorded from what's around their eyes. The key to these worlds is that each world is BOTH! A world is real to one universe while it's completely fiction to another. Imagine, everything about our world; history, physics, facts, events, etc, could be all made up by someone in another universe while somewhere there is a world where something we made up is 100% real! Today, I shall tell you a story about three high school girls, who end up in an alternate reality where their lives were nothing but A TV SHOW!!! :pinkiegasp: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/pinkiegasp.png Somewhere, within the outskirts of Canterlot City, two mysterious figures were standing next to each-other. The first was a tall man wearing a military-like uniform and had black hair with a white streak going across the middle. "You know the mission you have to do, don't you?" he asked. The second person was a middle-aged woman with silver hair and green eyes. She was wearing a tight black, one-piece, leather spy-suit. She looked at him, "I do. Stop pestering me, Young Blood!" "Well, forgive me if your last two missions were COMPLETE FAILURES!" he whisper-shouted. "I'm sorry! He gave me the slip, okay?!" the woman said with annoyance in her voice. Young Blood growled, "You do realize, Cold Cut, that he escaped with THE most powerful object in the ENTIRE multiverse?! If the Mistress hears about how we didn't get what she desires, she'll have both of us living in OBLIVION!!!" He too, had annoyance in his voice. "Yes! I know that! Don't worry! I'll succeed this time. I'll hunt down Darkwave and retrieve the watch from him." said the woman, known as Cold Cut. The two glared at each-other for a while. Young Blood sighed as he reached his hand in his pocket and pulled out a radio-like device. He handed it over to Cold Cut and said, "This is a Loop Tracker. It gives the person who controls it a one-ticket to one alternate universe. Once you come back from that universe, that world will be locked from you and you can't travel to any other world. This prototype shall grant you the trip you need to find the watch. Use that one trip carefully! Understood?" Cold Cut took the LT and put it in her pocket. She grinned at Young Blood, giving him the chills. She nodded, showing him that she understood quite clearly. Young Blood smirked, "Good. Now, find Darkwave and get that watch!" And with that, Cold Cut walked off into the darkness of the night, leaving Young Blood to his thoughts as he stared at the stars of the night sky. (Canterlot High School, Tuesday, 12:23 - Library...) Sunset and Applejack were in the library, studying during lunch hour. They were studying for their upcoming history test. Sunset put her book down for a quick break and began to talk to Applejack. "So Applejack, How's your studying coming along?" she asked. The cowgirl just blew her hair across her forehead and spoke, "Ain't nothin' doing. Ah can't make heads or tails with this history stuff!" History wasn't exactly Applejack's strong-point when it came to lessons. She was mostly good at cooking and P.E. But whenever she had to study, she was never afraid to ask somebody for help. "Yeah, don't worry. You'll get the hang of it. I did when I first studied under Princess Celestia." Sunset said as she smiled at that memory of her fillyhood. She hadn't thought about that in a loooooooong time. "Trust me, we'll get through that test." She gave Applejack a reassuring smile to help her calm down and stop worrying about failing. She too, had that feeling a few times, back in Equestria. "Ah hope yer right. Ah can't go home with an F on mah papers! Granny Smith will give me a right scoldin'!" Applejack shuddered at the thought of her grandmother scolding her for failing the history test. "That won't end well." (RING, RING!) Sunset's cellphone rang as she answered it, hearing Rainbow Dash's voice on the other end. "Hey Sunset! Get over here to the statue! Me and Twilight are waiting! No time to explain!" And just like that, Rainbow hung up. Sunset was confused as she hung up her side of the call. Applejack noticed the look of confusion on Sunset's face. "So, what's up?" asked Applejack. She had known Sunset for a while now and knows her all too well to tell that something's bothering her friend. Sunset replied, "I don't know. Rainbow Dash just called and wanted me to meet her and Twilight outside the school, near the statue. She didn't say why. She just said for me to meet them at the statue and hung up." Applejack gave her an confused look, earning the reply, "I know, I'm just as confused as you are." "Well, if Ah know Rainbow Dash, she's probably gonna pull some 'awesome' prank on ya." said Applejack with an eye roll. Despite this fact, Sunset thought she still should check it out before ruling out the possibility. She gathered her stuff before saying, "Well, can't be sure unless we check it out." Although Rainbow Dash was known for her pranks, there might have been a slight possibility that Rainbow ACTUALLY needed Sunset for something. She had to check it out, just to be sure. "Well, count me out, Sugercube. Catch ya later!" said AJ, waving off Sunset before returning to her studies. As Sunset walked out the library doors, Applejack resumed reading the history book she was holding. The book cover read, 'The Crystal Wars: a survivor's guide.' After reading the page about how the soldiers were forced to set their camp underground, she too, got a phone call. Applejack sighed as she put the book down and picked up her phone. She wasn't gonna get this studying done, is she? After leaving the library, Sunset walked down the hallway of the school until she came to the doors and opened them, leading her the front yard of the school. Standing near the statue were Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash. Twilight was sitting down on the ground, reading her 'Physics Explained' book while Rainbow Dash was practising her fighting skills, in case of an enemy attack. Sunset rolled her eyes at Rainbow as she walked up to the two girls. "I'm here, girls! So, what's the big thing you called me about, Rainbow?" she asked. Rainbow turned and showed Sunset the big grin on her face, making Sunset and Twilight know what that meant, BAD NEWS!!!! Things did NOT turn out well for these girls whenever Rainbow had that look on her face. It mostly ended up with either destroying property or getting two weeks worth of detention. "Okay guys, Check it!" Rainbow said, pulling out a letter from her bag. "There's this dude who wants to meet us in some old house down by the cemetery and talk to us about a mission! Isn't that awesome?!!! A MISSION!!!" Sunset took a look at the letter that Rainbow had given her and Twilight stood up to read it with her. (Dear Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer, I know that this may seem out of the blue to request something like this of you, but believe me when I say this, you three are the only people I'm sure to trust this secret to. I have a peculiar mission for you three to complete before evil completes it first. Before you ask, the reason I did not ask your other friends to participate is because out of all of you, you three are the most powerful when it comes to friendship and focus. Plus, there must be someone staying here in case of evil hitting your school while you three are away. As for the mission, I cannot give you the full details within this letter right now. First, you must find me in order for me to give you more details. Find me at the old house within the cemetery. The key is on the back of this letter. Once you find the house, the rest will be clear to you. From Darkwave.) After reading the letter, Sunset and Twilight gave each-other a sceptical look while Rainbow was quietly squealing with excitement about this 'adventure'. Sunset spoke, "Are you sure about this, Rainbow Dash? I mean, for all we know, this could be a trap." Twilight just crossed her arms around her chest, meaning her agreement with Sunset. Rainbow turned towards them and told them, "Aw come on, guys! If this is real, which it is, we could be given the chance to do something BIG!!! A chance to be somebody awesome!!! Not that I'm not already awesome, but you know, MORE awesome!" The two girls started to think about this as Rainbow continued on. "And besides, if it is just a prank, we'll show those jerkbags a thing or two about messing with us!" Sunset looked at the letter again and thought about what Rainbow just said. "Well, it's kinda hard to do this without the one thing that proves it's not a prank, THE KEY!" Twilight pointed out, showing her friends the back of the letter where said key was supposed to be, but wasn't. Rainbow just scoffed and put her hand into her pocket. Twilight just face-palmed and let out an annoyed groan while Sunset gently patted her on the back for comfort. Sunset then noticed Twilight and Rainbow looking at her. Twilight spoke, "Well, Sunset, we've reached a tie so now you are our tie-breaker." "So, what's gonna be? Awesome adventure or boring school day?" Rainbow asked as she made a thumbs down when she said 'boring school day'. Sunset looked back and forth between her friends and the letter. On one hand, if someone is in danger, they should help them. On the other hand though, if this is a dangerous mission, they might get into so much danger, they could get hurt... Or worse! After debating with her self within her mind, Sunset came to an conclusion. "Well, this 'danger' might mean bad news for our friends, if not, out whole WORLD. So, we might as well take a look." Rainbow jumped in the air, giving out a big 'AAAWWWW YEAH!!!!' while Twilight just sighed. Later, the three girls got off their bikes and parked them just by the gate. They looked up and saw the the big gates to the cemetery. "Well girls," Sunset said. "Let's get this over with." Rainbow, being the eager beaver she was, pushed the gates open, which gave a loud creak that could kill the eardrums of an elephant. The atmosphere around the cemetery sent shivers down their spines, although Rainbow tried to mask it as possible by acting brave. It wasn't long until they spotted the house they were supposed to find. They walked up to the front door and tried to see if anyone was in there. Then, Twilight spotted a note on the door saying, 'Insert key and open door.' "Hey girls, I found something!" she called out to her friends. When Rainbow and Sunset came over to her, she put in the key into the look and turned it, unlocking the door and opening it. Inside, everything was clean and normal, like someone actually lived there. As they walked inside, the door quickly shut behind them, making them jump. A voice called out to them, "I'm glad you came." Footsteps came down the stairs, revealing two feet come down. As the footsteps came closer, the person revealed himself. He had grey hair and green eyes. He wore long, black leather coat with dark-red shirt. He had a pair of jeans and black boots. "I apologize for the inconvenience," he said, "But I must tell you this before it's too late. First of all, my name is Darkwave. I'm a traveller from an alternate reality. I was sent here to assign you three to protect something for me. Something that the wrong hands deadly wants." He pulled out a crimson watch out of his pocket. He continued, "This watch, despite its normal looks, is the very thing that is used for dimension travel. This 'Crimson Watch' is the most powerful thing in the entire multiverse. If my enemies were to get their hands on it, it could mean destruction!" The three girls just stared at him, disbelievingly. "I know that this may be a lot to take in-" Darkwave said before being interrupted by Rainbow Dash. "You're darn right, it's a lot! I mean, COME ON!!! A traveller from another world?! How do we know this isn't just some prank?" she shouted. Twilight and Sunset tried to calm her down. To be honest, Rainbow Dash thought that this was going to be like a 'Daring Do' adventure, visiting ancient ruins, fighting off bad guys, finding treasure, etc. Hearing this made Rainbow feel like this was just wasting her time, which she hates! "I understand your reasons for not believing me, but we don't have time. Even now, I can feel my enemies coming closer to finding me." Darkwave said while he gathered his gear together and paced them around the girls. He then gave Sunset the watch. "Listen, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to send you three into an alternate reality. One similar to this one, yet very different in others. I need you three to stay in that world until the watch gives you the signal to come back over here. The main point, keep the watch away from here as possible!" (CRASH!!!!) Suddenly, Cold Cut burst in through the window, glaring at Darkwave. "I've finally found you." she said. She marched over towards him. Panicked, Darkwave quickly turned to the girls and spoke the spell to activate the dimension jump spell he put around them. Having no idea what he was saying, they tried to run away from this madness. But some invisible force was keeping them in place. "Please, RUN!!!" was all he said to them before they disappeared in a bright flash of blinding light. The three girls had gone. Not caring about them, Cold Cut turned to her target, Darkwave, and started beating him bloody. She then grabbed him by the collar and spoke, "I'll be taking what I came for. Hehe~" She reached her hand into Darkwave's pocket, only to find nothing in it. "What?!" she exclaimed. Darkwave smirked at her expense, making her growl at him. She banged his head against the mirror and shouted, "WHERE IS IT?!!!" When the bright light died down, Sunset, Twilight and Rainbow put their arms down from their eyes. They looked around and tried to see where they were. All they could see was blackness. "Where the hay are we?!" Rainbow asked, still turning her head around to see anything worth telling them about their whereabouts. Sunset did the exact same thing while trying to see anything at all. But no matter how had she tried, she couldn't see anything. Just then, a loud voice shouted, "CUT!!!" and then a bell rang as the lights came on. Around them, there were people clapping while standing near a large camera while there was a woman with red hair sitting on a chair and holding a bullhorn. "Great work, everyone!" called out one of the people in the room. When the clapping died down, the woman in the chair called out to the girls, "Tara! Rebecca! Ashleigh! That was AMAZING! You really nailed that take!" The girls were so confused, they didn't know what to say. To each-other OR to the strange people. Just then, a young boy ran up to the camera and held up a movie clapper board as he said, "Equestria Girls, episode 25, scene 1, take 6, mark it!" and the movie clapper clapped down. After that, all of the people scattered around the room, doing whatever they needed to do. The girls looked around again, this time, they saw that they were standing in the middle in a movie set. "Anyone wanna explain to to me on what the hay is going on?" whispered Rainbow Dash. "To be honest, Rainbow," replied Sunset. "I'm not sure if I can explain." "Me neither." said Twilight. "And I'm supposed to find logic within everything!" Then, a man walked up to them and handed them three separate booklets. "Okay girls, here are your scripts for the next scene. Remember, we gotta keep this up if we're gonna make this 25th episode an episode for fans to remember." he said before walking off towards the red-haired woman from before. Sunset and her friends stared at the 'scripts' they were handed and read the front page. It said, 'Equestria Girls, season 1, episode 25, The Great Switch. Scene 2.' Confused, Twilight spoke, "I don't know what this means, but if what Darkwave said to us was true, then we need to find place to hide." Sunset and Rainbow agreed with her and all walked towards the big doors until Rainbow was pulled away from a woman, who said, "There you are, Ashleigh. Come with me into this chair." She sat Rainbow down in a chair with a mirror in front of her. The name on the mirror said 'Ashleigh Ball' with some pictures of her and her friend, Applejack. "Okay, let's get this wig and make-up off you." the woman said, rubbing a piece of cloth on Rainbow's face, who pushed the arm away. "What're you talking about, lady?" Rainbow asked. "I'm not wearing a wig or any mak-" She stopped as her hair was pulled right off of her head, revealing blond hair underneath and her face has a smudge wiped off from the cloth the woman was holding. Rainbow, as well as her friends, was shocked by this. "Holy crud." was all she said. Sunset quickly went up to the make-up artist and asked her to see if any of the other 'actors' needed make-up removal. The woman made a realization face and ran off towards her next client. "Come on, girls. Let's go!" she whispered. Rainbow put her 'wig' back on, still processing the thought, 'My hair is fake! I wear make-up!' Getting out of that, Rainbow, Sunset and Twilight quickly ran out of the studio and went outside, revealing all kinds of people working of movies and TV shows. Some of the props resembled things that were involved in their previous adventures back at CHS. The girls were so confused about where to go next until Twilight spotted a pony royal guard that no-one seems to notice. He raised his spear and pointed it to the nearest trailer before disappearing as someone walked past. "Hey girls," she said. "I just saw a pony dressed like a golden soldier and I think he wants us to go to that trailer over there." Sunset's eyes widened when she heard that. 'What? A royal guard from Equestria? Here?' she thought. Rainbow argued, 'How do we know this isn't just some trick like everything else around here?" "I'm not sure, but I think he's real and he's here to help us." said Twilight. Sunset looked back and forth between Rainbow and Twilight and chose to go for Twilight's idea. They then all ran towards the trailer that had a star on that door saying, 'Ashleigh Ball' on it. "'Ashleigh Ball' That's what that make-up artist called you." Sunset pointed out. Rainbow thought about this fact before saying, "So this 'Ashleigh Ball' is a fake me?" "Apparently." spoke Twilight. Rainbow smirked, making Sunset and Twilight groan at that face. "So, this must be fake mine!" she boasted. When they opened the door and walked in, they saw all of the stuff within the trailer. It contained a flat-screen TV, a remote-controlled helicopter and what seemed like to be the world's comfiest couch. Rainbow smiled at all of this. "Dude!" she said. "Whoever the 'Ashleigh Ball' is, she has THE LIFE!" Sunset and Twilight face-palmed. "She's this world's Rainbow Dash." spoke a voice from behind them, making the girls turn around. They saw the same pony Twilight saw just a moment ago. "And Applejack." he said. Before any of them could speak, he interrupted them by explaining the situation. "I know you have many questions to ask. I am here to answer them for you. For first question you were going to ask, my name is Metal Weld. I'm a Royal Guard in Equestria. I am good friends with Darkwave, the person who brought you here. As for that, I shall answer the question you've been wondering the most. This place is an alternate universe, just like he told you he would. I shall tell you about this world in a minute, but first, I'm going to tell you why." The three girls looked at each-other before looking back at him. Twilight raised her hand. "Yes, Miss Sparkle?" Metal said, pointing at said girl. Twilight put her hand down and asked, "If I remember correctly, Darkwave said he was going to send us to another world to keep the watch he gave us away from that woman, right?" Metal nodded. "Yes. Her name is Cold Cut. She's from another alternate Earth. On that world, she's a deadly assassin, known for showing no mercy to her victims. Rumour has it that she joined a group of villains who's soul purpose is to conquer every single alternate reality, including yours and this one. Normally, a dimension traveller can only travel to three or four dimensions before being locked out of this ability and having to wait two years until their next leap. That's why most travellers make sure that the last world they jump to is their home world." As he continued on, Sunset started writing notes. "That watch contains every single location on all of the worlds. So whoever possesses the watch gains unlimited access to the multiverse. That's why Darkwave is trying to keep it away from Cold Cut. If her organisation were to get their hands on it, all worlds will perish!" Twilight, Sunset and Rainbow looked at each-other, worriedly about what would happen if Cold Cut got her hands on the Crimson Watch. All their homes will be destroyed. They couldn't let that happen. Metal continued his explanation. "Now girls, you know how some people say that alternate worlds are made someone making a choice in one world while his/her counterpart makes the opposite choice in the other, right?" Twilight nodded before saying, "Yeah! It's basic Multiverse 101." "Yes well, what if I was to tell you three, that theory is wrong?" Twilight and Sunset just stared at him, confused while Rainbow was having a hard time trying to catch up with all of this. "The real key to creating the multiverse is 'Meta.' Or, to be more specific, 'Meta-fiction.' You see, you gave three basic worlds. Say, this soft ball," he said, placing a soft ball on the table. "Represents your universe. And this Golf ball and Basket ball, represent two other universes." They nodded, understanding so far. "Good. Now, everything about you world; history, biggest moments, anything, is real. 100% reality, right? But, in this world," he pointed to the Golf ball. "All those things about your world, is pure FICTION. Made-up. Entertainment for someone else." A little shocked about this, the girls still managed to follow what Metal was saying. "Whereas on your world, you have stories. Comic books, movies, TV shows, novels. Anything made-up. BUT on this third world," he said, this time, pointing to the Basket ball. "That 'made-up' stuff is all real! The impossibilities in one universe are possible in another." Twilight and her friends were both shocked and confused. Metal raised his hoof to pick up the nearest TV remote and turned on the TV. "This world you've landed in is, let's say, the Golf ball I had just demonstrated." he said, showing them some videos and pictures of three girls who looked like them on the screen. "While in your world, your lives are 100% real. Here, however, your lives are made-up. A mere TV show for the fans' entertainment. Here, you three are nothing more than fictional characters. These three girls you see on the screen are the actors who play you for this show called 'Equestria Girls.'" The screen showed Twilight's look-alike. "This girl here is Twilight Sparkle's actor, a girl named Tara Strong. She's also a voice-actress who has voiced as cartoon characters." The screen changed to Sunset's actor. "Sunset's actor is named Rebecca Shoichet. She's also Twilight's singing voice." Finally, the screen went to Rainbow's actor. "Finally, this is Rainbow Dash's actor. Her name is Ashleigh Ball. She's quite talented because she actually acts as TWO characters. She acts as Rainbow Dash and Applejack." "WHAT?!!!!" screamed Rainbow Dash, pulling her 'wig' off and stared at it. Metal replied, "Yes, miss Dash. You and Applejack are played by the same person here. Hence, why the wig. I must warn you about a second wig in that bag over there." He pointed his hoof towards the nearest bag. Rainbow looked at Metal and then, at the bag. She slowly walked to the bag and pulled the zipper open. She pulled out a blond wig with a pony-tail at the end. She walked over to a mirror and put the wig on. Her eyes widened when recognized the hair style of the wig. It was the hair style of Applejack. "Well, now that that's settled, I must warn you about the dangers that may be coming your way." The three girls turned their heads towards Metal when he said that. "You see, Cold Cut does not give up so easily. She has a device called a 'Loop Tracker.' If someone has recently jumped over to another universe, this device can track the particles of said traveller and actually follow them to that very universe. There's no doubt that she will use it to follow you here. Be wary and always on your guard, okay?" he asked them, earning a nod from all of them. He sighed in relief, knowing that these girls know the mission they have. "Good. Now, remember, you three must NOT raise any suspicion amongst these people. If possible, it might attract Cold Cut right over to you. You must pretend to be your actors until we can find a way to permanently defeat for and bring you back home. Understood?" Again, the three girls nodded in response. "Very well then, I wish you three good luck." And with that, he disappeared. After having a while to process all of this, Sunset stood up from the couch and spoke, "Alright girls, I know this is a lot to take in, nut we agreed to do this mission. So that makes this mission OUR responsibility to complete. Our world and this one are both at stake here. Either we do this or all worlds get destroyed." Rainbow and Twilight looked at each-other and nodded. "Let's do it!" they both said. Later that night, in the middle of the streets, far away from the studios, a portal appeared in the wall. Out came Cold Cut, holding her Loop Tracker in her hand. She pressed a button just before the portal disappeared behind her. She looked around, wondering where she was. Just then, her phone started ringing. She picked it out from her pocket and answered, "Hello?" "Have you made the jump?" asked the voice of Young Blood on the other side of the line. "Yes." she replied. "I followed the particles of the watch's power into this universe. It won't be long until I find the ones holding it and shall retrieve it from them." "Good. Remember, do not let these girls walk out alive! Make sure their existence is dust and forgotten." Young Blood said. Cold nodded. "Rodger. Still, you could've let me kill Darkwave back there!" "He doesn't have the watch anymore. So, he's no use to us, now. Nor is he a threat either. There wouldn't have been any point in killing him." Cold Cut rolled her eyes. "How about you? How are thing on your end?" she asked. "Don't worry, I'm dealing with these four girls before they even know what's going on. All I did was find your targets' friends and use my own Loop Tracker find them in another world. Now all I have to do is use this world's rules against them." Young spoke with a sly laugh. "Alright, I'll hunt down these girls and end them." And with that, she hung up. She put her phone back in her pocket before walking towards a local shooting range. She grinned evilly as she walked in through the front door.... Author's Note I OWN NOTHING!!!! MLP and EG both belong to Hasbro. The only things I do own are the OCs within this story. Some of the jokes and parts are from the Supernatural episode this fic is based on. I don't them either. They belong to the CW. //-------------------------------------------------------// 2. Twilight was groaning, still tired from her rough night of sleeping last night. She stayed up late because she needed to read the script she was handed over yesterday. She needed to read and practice her lines so she can 'be' her actor, so no-one will know the difference. Same thing with Sunset and Rainbow, only RD feel asleep after the first two pages. She would've stayed up longer if it were a Daring Do script. Just then, a knock on the door was made, along with a male voice. "Miss Strong, 60 minutes till shooting time!" he shouted before leaving Twilight to quickly get changed and have her breakfast. After doing that, she grabbed her script and put it in her 'new' bag. Twilight then opened the door and walked out of 'her' trailer to meet up with Sunset and Rainbow, who were waiting for her just in front of the studio doors. "Hey, girls!" she said as she walked up to them. "How've you been?" "Not bad. Rainbow fell asleep after reading the first two pages of the script while I managed to get to page 11." replied Sunset, who pulled out her script before placing it in her bag. Rainbow, on the other had, groaned from being tired. "Hey!" she said. "You try reading something that ISN'T Daring Do! I mean, this script, it's SO BORING!!!" The rainbow-haired girl slapped her hands over her eyes and pulled down her bottom eyelids, indicating stress. Sunset shook her head and said, "Well, Rainbow, not everyone is a big Daring Do fan like you. Some of us take interest in other things." Rainbow just rolled her tired eyes. She didn't want to hear this speech again. Just then, a young boy accidentally bumped into Sunset, making him drop the props he was carrying. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" he said as he squatted down to pick the stuff up. Sunset decided to help him out, so she did the same. "No, it's my fault. I shouldn't have been standing in the middle of your way." she apologized to him. As they got back up from squatting, they took one look at each-others faces. Suddenly, time seemed to stop for them. Their hearts began to skip a beat and blood started to rush up to their heads, making them both blush. The boy seemed to be 17 years-old. He had short pink hair and had light blue eyes, which had a pair of glasses over them. He wore a T-shirt that said 'I'm not a nerd, I'm a geek! Big difference.', baggy jeans, red sneakers and a grey cardigan with a hood. Around his neck was a lanyard with an ID card attached to it. It said, 'Cole Legna, age; 17, date of birth; 20/6/99.' Then, they both snapped out if their trance. "U-um, thanks!" spoke the boy, named Cole. "It's my first week working here and I can't get my butt chewed out by the boss." Sunset smiled at the boy. "No problem. And don't worry. I'm sure the boss will warm up to you eventually." she assured him. "Thanks. I've heard a lot about you, Miss Shoichet! I'm a huge fan of your work!" he said with a nervous smile on his face. Sunset waved her hands, showing 'no need'. "Please, no need to call me Miss Shoichet. It makes me sound an older woman." she told him. "Just call me Sun-*ahem* R-Rebecca." "Oh! Okay, if you say so Miss Sh-I mean, Rebecca." he said, shaking her hand. "My name's Cole. Cole Legna. A strange last name, I know. It spells 'angel' backwards." Sunset laughed as she just got that. "Well, I think it's a good name." Just then, Rainbow Dash came over to her and grabbed her by the shoulders. "Look, it's been great meeting you, but we gotta roll." the rainbow haired girl said. Cole nodded and started to walk. "Oh. I get it. You're very busy, probably need to do some acting, I get it. I gotta go myself anyways." He turned around to walk towards the place he was to go to. When he turned his back, he had a piece of paper on his back saying, 'Kick me! I'm a newbie!' As he walked further away, many of the people who passed him laughed at the sign on his back. Of course, he didn't know why they were laughing, so he just shrugged it off. Sunset and Twilight were both disgusted by this. 'I can't believe these people!' thought Sunset. Rainbow pushed Sunset along, who continued to be appalled by the prank being played on Cole. "Come on! COME ON!!!!!" Cold Cut kept growling in frustration, trying to get her powers to work. She tried to interrogate a nearby person earlier and attempted to lift the car to threaten him, only to fail at doing so. The man looked at her like she was crazy. "Ma'am, have you ever considered going to a nut-house?" Poor choice of words. If there was one thing Cold Cut hated more than people wasting her time, it was people not taking her seriously. Only one thing she hated more than THAT was being treated like an insane person. Since she couldn't use her strength, she made him pay the old fashioned way! A few moments later, the police arrived, only to find no trace of the culprit and a man beaten to a bloody pulp. In a nearby bar, Cold walked inside and had no choice but to order a drink to calm herself down. She ordered a small, yet strong shot of whiskey. The bartender nodded and went to get her drink, leaving her to her thoughts. 'Alright, Cold Cut,' she thought to herself. 'Just think. Why aren't my powers working? I'm sure there MUST be an explanation. There......must.....be....' She started to remember what Young Blood had told her when she first met him. Flashback: Young Blood stood there, smiling like a little child on his birthday. Cold got into battle stance, being ready to fight him. Then, Young bowed down and spoke. "Good evening, Ms Cut. I've been looking forward to meeting you." Cold never took her eyes off of him. "Who are you?! And where am I?!" she demanded. Young chuckled when she asked him these questions. "Oh yes! So rude of me. I am Young Blood. At your service, Milady." he said, with a polite bow. Cold was not impressed. "As to where you are, well...." he continued. "Let's just say....you're not in YOUR city, right now." Cold Cut growled in frustration, clearly not happy with his answer. "What do you mean 'NOT IN MY CITY'?!" She then pulled out her knife, threatening him to be more specific with his answers. However, instead of fear, she got a calm and chuckling reaction from him. "I mean, Milady, that we're not in YOUR version of your city. We are, in fact, in another world, one alternate, parallel and/or opposite to the one you're from. Judging by that look on your face, I assume that you've heard of my name before?" he said. Cold was piecing it together in her mind. "Yes. YES! You're Young Blood, the dangerous, bloodthirsty warlock from a comic-book series called 'Blood Ties'!" she exclaimed. "Correct, Milady! Only, as you can see, I'm more than just a character. Well, here, anyway." Young said. That sentence just confused Cold Cut more. "W-what?" Confusion filled her face more and more by the second. She really hated being confused. Her mentor always said that confusion messes with your head, which throws you off your target. Young chuckled again at her confusion. "You see, Ms Cut, in your world, I'm just a fictional character. BUT, in this world, I'm real. Just as how there's a world out there, where YOU are nothing but a fictional character." "WHAT?!!! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!" "It's really simple, Ms Cut." explained Young. "The secret to the Multiverse is 'Meta', like Meta-fiction. Each world is considered fake or fictional in another. Who knows, maybe, out there, there's a world where this very meeting we're having is a fanfiction story being written by a 23 year-old British guy on his laptop in his bedroom." This shocked Cold Cut completely! Knowing that in a world, she was a character created by somebody for someone-else's amusement. "Now, with that out of the way," spoke Young. "I have a proposal for you..." End flashback: Cold Cut groaned at herself for forgetting such an important fact. OF COURSE her powers don't work here! With her being a fictional character in most worlds, her powers won't work in those worlds. Especially in a world where magic and Sci-Fi are just tools for entertainment. 'Well, I guess I just have to find those girls and deal with them the old fashioned way.' she thought. Just then, the bartender returned with her order. "Here you go, Ma'am." he said. Cold thanked him and gave him the money for the drink. "I just hope Young's doing a better job than me." she muttered before taking a sip of her drink. "Equestria Girls, scene 4, take 1. Mark it!" (SNAP!) "ACTION!" The girls were surrounded by the film crew, who were beginning to film them for the next scene of the episode. Standing next to them, was a young boy named Vincent Tong, who was actor of Flash Sentry. He was wearing the human version of the Royal Canterlot Guard back in Equestria. This character he was currently playing as was someone named Bold Sword, a surviving soldier from Equestria who got sucked into a pocket dimension. The story plot of the EQG episode was that Sunset, Twilight and Rainbow Dash get sucked into a pocket dimension and have to get back home. This 'pocket dimension' is a place that is made up of places from the prisoners' memories, making it a mixture of both Canterlot High and Equestria. On the side of the set, there were pony puppets, laying on the wall. It was time to act. Vincent begins to perform, speaking in a gruff voice. "I understand this must be confusing for you. But I don't have time to explain, for now." He walked towards the camera, facing it. He then turned around to face the girls. Suddenly, the cameras were on them. All three of them just froze, unsure what to do or say. Then, Twilight started to speak, "W-w-w-well...w-what do you mean?" "CUT!" shouted the director, Lauren Faust. "Tara, what're you doing? That's Ashleigh's line!" Twilight apologized as Vincent returned to the staring point. The girls then remembered their lines. They had to try this. "Action!" "I understand this must be confusing for you. But I don't have time to explain, for now." repeated Vincent, doing the same thing as before. This time, Rainbow Dash took a step forward and spoke her lines. "What the hell do you mean, buster?" she said, too nervously. "CUT!" "Come on, Ashleigh! Be more mad!" shouted Lauren Faust. Rainbow gave the director a nervous smile. They tried again. (Take 3) "I understand this must be confusing for you. But I don't have time to explain, for now." "What the hell do you mean, buster?" "Yeah, w-where are we?" "CUT!!!!" (Take 5) "What the hell do you mean, mister?" "CUT!!!!" (Take 6) "Yeah, where are we?" "This place you're in, it's a different place, yet the same place." "..............." "CUT!!!!!" (Take 9) Sunset briefly reads her part. "Being confused," she reads the part that states on how she's supposed to sound. "And how do we get back home?" "CUT!!!!" Rainbow shakes her head in exhaustion before wiping her hands all over her face. (Take 12) "Well, why bring us here?" Twilight says, looking at the camera. Sunset notices this and slowly leans towards her. "Twilight, calm down." she whispers to her friend. "Just don't look at the camera." Twilight looked at her, confused. "What?" Rainbow Dash quietly whispered, "Look anywhere BUT the camera!" Not knowing what to do, Twilight decides to look at the ground while repeating her line. "Well, why bring us here?" she said. "CUT!!!!" shouted the director, whose all confused herself. "For the love of...." (Take 15) "So, I-if we find a key, then we find a-a l-lock? And if we find that lock, we open a door. Of course, because it's a lock, which also has a key. Because that's what doors have and-" "We need to get all three of that crap!" "Wait, what?" "That's how 'Ashleigh Ball' does it. I did a little research on her." "CUT!!!!!" Rainbow had just about enough of this. "Look, do we really need all these lines? I mean, I-I-I think we've covered it." Everyone looked at her with confused looks. "Um, we just had a rough night, last night." Sunset lied. "R-request to do this tomorrow?" Lauren Faust stared at the three girls for a short while before speaking, "Alright, request granted. We continue tomorrow. MOVING ON!" "MOVING ON!!!!!" Relieved, the girls sat down at the end of the set. Then, Vincent came up to them and asked, "Guys, you alright? You seem pretty out of it today." Sunset and Twilight both did some research on this guy. He was the actor of Flash Sentry, Sunset's ex-boyfriend and Twilight's crush. It felt weird for both of them, with him having the exact same face as Flash. Sunset shook her head and replied, "Yeah, um, we just.....had a late night, that's all." "Well, okay then. Just let me know if you need anything." he said. Before he left, he turned to Rainbow. "Oh. And Ashleigh, I hope you and I get the chance to have that third date sometime." As he left, that sentence left the girls in a state of shock. Vincent and Ashleigh, Flash and Rainbow....DATING?!!!! Sunset was so confused while Twilight tried to hide her feeling of jealousy away and Rainbow tried so hard not to puke. After recovering from the shock, the they decided to leave to studio. "Let's get out of here!" suggested RD. The others followed her.
