A Scared Prince

I watched as Queen Chrysalis look down at Cadence, who is unconscious and magic was sapped. I shouted out to her, but it was to no Advil.

I woke up from the nightmare as I screamed,

"Cadence!"

I panted heavily from the nightmare. A moment later, somepony came rushing into my room, ready to fight, and despite how tired she was, ran towards my bed.

"Honey? What's wrong!?"

"I had a nightmare that you were knocked out by Queen Chrysalis, your magic was sapped, and I thought I was gonna lose you."

She looked at me in surprise as she took a seat on the side of my bed, grabbing my hoof gently.

"That's never going to happen honey. She was defeated and no longer poses a problem."

"I just don't know how I would be without you... ever since you came into my life, everything has been great and I don't know how I would be if I lost you." I said to her as I blushed lightly from her, still holding my hoof gently.

She smiled lightly as she squeezed my hoof tighter, blushing too as I said that.

"I wouldn't know either."

I smiled lightly as I looked back at her.

"You're the most beautiful mare I know and I wouldn't replace it for anything," I said as I gazed at her shyly.

She blushed more as her cheeks glowed lightly.

"Th-thanks..."

I opened my hooves and said,

"Hugs."

I smiles a little more as I hugged her gently. She hugs me back gently, dropping her guard in the process.

"I'm not going anywhere. Nopony will take me away form you. Not Sombra, not Chrysalis, not even the end of Equestria.

"Thanks Cadence, that means a lot coming from you." I said.

I smiled more at her. I also added,

"Your eyes are as pure as the open sky and your hair shines like the cosmos."

I blushed more as I couldn't believe the silly but true words I just spoke.

She blushed darker than I did as I finished what I said. She kept quiet and didn't say anything. I felt my heartbeat become louder and faster too.

"Cadence,can I ask you something?" I asked.

"Yeah, go ahead."

She smiled as me as she snapped out of her dazed state.

"Can you stay with me until I fall asleep, please?" I asked shyly.

"Of course."

She smiled as she kept a hold of my hand.

"Thanks. You're the best." I said, giving her a kiss on her cheek gently.

She nearly toppled off the bed as she held in a giggle.

"N-No prob, My Armored Prince."

I lays back down on the bed and makes room for her to lay next to me and smiled at her. She returned the smile back at me as she lays down next to me, her cheeks now glowing like a nightlight.

"Hey,  Princess Cadence?" I asked.

"Yes?" she asked as she heard me call her.

"You are the best thing to ever come into my life and I'm happy to be with you." I said as he blushes even more.

She blushed even more.

"Wh-what do you mean?"

"I mean you are the best thing to ever happen to me,ever since you came into my life, I've been having an awesome time with you,fighting monsters with you, being with you, and the wedding. That was that really the best part of my life and you looked amazing Cadence." I said to her sincerely.

Her entire face turned darker than my mane and she looked away shyly.

"A-Awwwww...you...you really mean that?"

"I do, I mean it with all my heart" I said to her as I holds her hoof gently with mine.

She scooted closer to me as she kissed my cheek in return to me kissing hers earlier. I blushed darkly on my cheek from her kissing my cheek and gazes at her very shyly. She looked away embarrassedly, using her long blond multi color mane to hide her face.

I moves her man's out of her face and let looker directly at her.

"I just wanna gaze into your beautiful sapphire eyes,they're so pretty as you." I says to her as I gazes into her eyes.

She gazed back as she leaned in towards me.

"Why are you so affectionate all of a sudden?"

"I just really care about you and I don't want to lose you again. You make me so happy when I'm with you" I replied, leaned in towards her slowly.

She leaned in towards me too, her eyes shutting slowly as she did. I shut my eyes too as I keeps leaning in towards her. I felt her lips touch mine gently and she smiled really happily. I smiled back really happily as I pulled away slowly as I blushed and he gazes at her dazedly.

She hugged me tightly as she gazed back at me dreamily. I hugged back tightly.

"Oh, and Candace?" I asked contently.

"Yes Shining Armor?"

She smiled at me. I opened my mouth and said,

"I love you. And I won't stop loving for as long as I live."

She kissed me again.

"I love you too!"

I kissed her back gently as I smiled more. She returned the smile back more. I pulled away after a few seconds of kissing her and I laid down again and she cuddles into me and I said,

"Goodnight, Princess Cadence."

She fell asleep in my arms after she whisper back,

"Goodnight, my sweet prince."

We fell asleep with huge smiles on our faces and from that night on, there was never a doubt in my mind if she would stay or go.
