His parents are Nightmare Moon and King Sombra. They ruled the Crystal Empire for thousands of years. Darkness is the heir to the empire when he is born. Years ago before Darkness was born, the royal sisters and King Sombra came at battle to control the Crystal Empire. Nightmare Moon and King Sombra was allies, so in the end they won the battle. As times passed Nightmare Moon and King Sombra learned to love each other. Silence filled the Empire as the two couples were expecting a foal. King Sombra went away for a while to take over another kingdom called, "The Stronghold Empire." "AHHH..AHHHHHHH", screamed Nightmare Moon. "You'll make it! Keep Pushing!" The nurse said. Minutes passed by into hours when a wailing came through the room. " Waaaaaaa..Waaaaaaaaa" The foal cried out. When the nurse gave the foal to Nightmare Moon, Nightmare Moon said, "I shall name him..Darkness." Months passed and Darkness was sent away to learn all the dark magic on this land for two years. When his father returned, King Sombra, taught him how to use dark magic properly and how to battle. Nightmare Moon watched them both for quite a while since she wasn't ruling after King Sombra came back. "Darkness, I'm going to teach you what dark magic is and how to control it without it controlling you.", King Sombra said. Darkness replied, "Father, i already know what dark magic is and how to control it. Can't you teach me something else?" King Sombra looked puzzled for a moment then finally said, "My Son, I will teach you how to destroy light magic, forever." "How do you do that?", replied Darkness. King Sombra snickered and stared at his son, "You'll figure out when you destroy friendship magic." "But how can you destory the magic of friendship since any pony can create friendship." said Darkness. "I know that, however I AM the King of Dark magic and friendship needs: Honesty, Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Loyalty, and Magic." "Father, no matter what dark does, Friendship is always there. You cannot destroy it." Whined Darkness. King Sombra glared and snapped at him, "Silence! Were you there when i killed Celestia? Or when i took over the Crystal Empire? No! I know what i'm doing." Darkness looked down and mumbled, "Alright..." "You shut up and listen to me, when you make ponies lie, then Honesty is destroyed; when ponies are hateful, then Kindness is gone; when ponies are not laughing, then Laughter is ruined; when-" "Yeah, when the others aren't doing whatever they are gone. I get it." Interrupted Darkness. Nightmare Moon over heard their argument and confronted her son, "Obey your father, Darkness, One day when you have kids you'll have this burden to carry on. You WILL do as you're told. Do i make myself clear?" "Really, mom kids, I'm only ten years old and you want me to get marry and have kids. Why don't you give me another brother or sister?" King Sombra nipped at his son in anger, "You will rule one day. Your Mother and I have chosen you. WE don't plan on having another just so you don't have to do your responsibility. Now listen for once, Stop being a brat, Understood?" "But Dad, l have listen to you and my mother since when I can talk and that like about nine years ago, can't you give me some freedom." back talked Darkness. "Just shut up and go to your room and I better not see you mumble again," when he saw Darkness mumble, "Now go to your room right now." snap King Sombra. The three alicorns separated to do their own duties but what they don't know is that a great evil plan is coming toward them. //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.3 Thinking along the Way. //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.3 Thinking along the Way. The young Alicorn named, Darkness, trotted his way from his room to the castle's throne room. Along the way, his mind wander to the mysterious voice and the questions. "My Mother, NIghtmare Moon the evil sister of Celestia. My Father, The ruler of the Crystal Empire, King Sombra... The unknown voice of the past.. For I am the cursed pony..What does this mean?? And what does it mean that I'm a cursed until time changes??" puzzled the Alicorn Prince within his mind. Hallway, Darkness thinks about the questions and the answers that might be possible, when suddenly his parents voices can and put him back into reality. "Darkness, come to the training field, right now, this is important." King Sombra demanded. Slowly he trotted his way to the arena. "I'm here, Father" Low-voiced Darkness. "Well, hurry up, we don't have all day." replied NIghtmare Moon. "Alright Mother, I'll be there in about few minutes." Darkness said. While on the way to the arena, Darkness's mind went back to thinking again. //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.5 The Council Meeting //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.5 The Council Meeting In the secret room, King Sombra and Nightmare Moon arrived at the room. The eight members of the council also arrived few minutes earlier. The leader of the council is a male pony called Steel Shadow. The other seven members are called Dark Metal, Shadow Mark, Dark Thunder, Crystal Dusk, Moon Star, Shadow Dusk, and Scarlet Shadow. "Do every pony think that the Prince is ready to rule a piece of land?" asked Steel Shadow. "Well, I believe that the Prince is not ready to rule because he never got a part in politic and only know how to be a warrior." replied Moon Star. "True, I think we can let the prince take a part in the politic for a few months and see how well can he govern the empire without the help of King Sombra and Queen NIghtmare Moon?" said Shadow Dusk. "Also our empire's first law for royal members is that they need to master all of their powers before they can learn to govern." added Dark Thunder. "How about this, we let him master his power first, then let him govern the empire." said Shadow Mark. "Okay, one more problem, what position are the prince to get when he enter the politic?" asked Scarlet Shadow. "Let him be the Commander of Warfare." insisted King Sombra. So the meeting ended without any problem. But they don't know that the nobles are going to cause more problems. //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.6 The Revolting Nobles //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.6 The Revolting Nobles After the meeting, King Sombra and Nightmare Moon put out a order that told the ponies that Darkness is now the Commander of Warfare. Nobles thought that this order is a threat to their power, so they also meet up in a secret place. Nobles are have three types such as unicorn, pegasus, and earth ponies. The unicorns have the House of Dominion as the leader. The House of Blackhallow, House of Ender, House of Terror, and the House of Blaze as the four top unicorn nobles. The pegasus have the Consul of Wrath as the leader. The Consul of Black Mark, Consul of Serpent, Consul of Fire, and the Consul of Fury as the top four pegasus nobles. The earth ponies have the Governor of Blaze as the leader. The Governor of Shade, Governor of War, and the Governor of Dark as the top three earth ponies nobles. "I think everyone has already heard about the order that turn our prince to be the Commander of Warfare." started Lord Dominion. "Yes, we all have. If he fails this position then he'll never be able to rule this land at all. A slight of success and all of us will be looking up to him; however, we cannot allow that. Now can we?" Announced the Unicorns. "We know that, but also we need a heir to the empire or else if the other countries will try to take it as a chance to seize our empire." replied Consul of Wrath. "I'm glad you mentioned that. For I and my fellow Unicorns WILL be the next heir. We can take this as an advantage and overrule the King and Queen. Exile Them" Demanded the Unicorns. "Hey that's not fair, why should you unicorn be the leaders?" asked Governor Blaze. "Fair, the Problem to you all is that you cannot control magic." replied the unicorns. The argument became more violent until one pony came out with a plan. Suddenly creeped a voice of the unknown, hissing, "Darknessssss...Darknessssssssssssss." "Who's there, come out or I'll blast you with dark magic." "Darknessss..Listen to me, I'm the ghost of the past. Would you wish to know about your parent's past, and why you're cursed?" hissed the voice. "What, how do you know about my parent's past and why are you here to tell my this?" "Your Mother is Nightmare Moon, She ruled the night for her sister was The ruler of Canterlot, named Celestia. Once upon a time there was two sisters. The older sister raised the sun every day. The youngest sister raised the moon every night. For every day and night they did it over and over again, until the younger sister saw that the ponies play and work in her sister's day; While they slept her night. She wants to change this way, and the night took over her making her become Nightmare Moon, which her name was originally Princess Luna. One day, The younger sister refused the raise the moon, and she challenged the Sun Princess. Celestia banished her sister into the moon for a thousand years. One Thousand years later, Nightmare Moon Returned, and this time she corrupted the Elements Bearers. She used them to help her defeat the Sun Princess, but the Sun Princess was too strong for them. When out of nowhere a dark evil unicorn, named King Sombra. Your Father who still stands this very moment. King Sombra was once good, but he tried a new magic, a dark one, it corrupted him and he decided to rule lands; however, he was banished by from a powerful pony. I'm here to tell you WHO and WHAT your parents was and still are, You're The Cursed Pony, because of them." "I-I can't believe it...I never could understand why i was cursed.." Replied The Cursed Pony. "I can tell you why, but you cannot tell any other ponies." say the voice. "Proceed" Darkness said with curiosity "You're cursed because of them. They are the villains, and they both have been banished before. You will remain cursed until time itself will change." The odd voice says when he's fading away. "Hey, come back, my question are not finish." yelled Darkness. When the voice disappeared, Darkness's mind grew with questions and answers that wasn't meant for him to know. Later on, He was summoned from his parents and he didn't say a word about what he's learned that day. //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.4 The New Power //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.4 The New Power At the field, Training to become a great warrior, Darkness keeps puzzling over what the voice said which causes him to realize what he must do. "Darkness, you are five minutes late, do you know that being a good warrior needs to be here on time?" yelled his father. "Really, it's only five minutes." said Darkness. "Son let me tell you being a warrior, prince and later a king, you need to be on time." says Nightmare Moon. "No more talking" said King Sombra when he saw Darkness trying to talk. "Now lets find out what kind of powers you have." King Sombra continued Hours passed by and Darkness tried his best to unlock his power(s), he did succeed in fighting skills and unlocking one of his power, mind controlling, for his cutie mark is a brain with a chain around it. "Darkness, you have more than one power which it makes you different from other ponies, but to find out these powers, you need to do it on your own." Said King Sombra "While you are doing that, your father and I will set up a meeting with the dark council alicorns, to discuss whether you're ready to rule a land or not." Nightmare Moon said. "Alright mom, so should I keep on training here?" asked Darkness. "Yes, you will. Keep training until you've mastered another power." Replied Nightmare Moon. So while the prince is trying to master another power, the king and queen went to the meeting. //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.7 The Secret Pony and The Plan //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.7 The Secret Pony and The Plan In the streets of The Crystal Empire, Lucy Dream was going back to the castle to tell the King and Queen about the meeting. Lucy Dream, the last pony of the House of Dream, is a unicorn noble and spy for the Royal Family. The House of Dream was once the leader of the three races but the other house took over it's place. She became a spy for the Royal Family because they promise them that if she give them the nobles' decisions, then they will help the House of Dream return back to it's place. At the castle, Lucy Dream arrived at the throne room, King Sombra and Queen Nightmare Moon was already there. "Your Majesty, the nobles already have a plan to overthrow your control on the empire." said Lucy Dream. "Is that so? What shall we do, Sombra?" grinned Nightmare moon "Leave it to me" Replied The King as he began to turn into black mist. "Walt a minute, Sombra, we can leave them along for now and when they began their plan, we will put out their evidences on overthrowing this empire and replace them with our trusted ponies." says Nightmare Moon. "Alright then, let them live for a few days." replied King Sombra as he turn back to  a pony. "Now Lucy, you keep on your watch on them and collect their evidences." continued Nightmare Moon. "Yes, Your Majesty. replied Lucy Dream. All the while the nobles don't know that they will be in big troubles.
