Love, Forgive, Forget and Valour
"RAINBOW DASH"!!!!!!!!
"h-huh?'' Rainbows eye lids slightly lifted open; as she looked thinly around her bedroom.
She slowly and cautiously slipped her blanket off of her, which caused her to shiver due to the sharp cold weather.
She carefully stepped over Tank, towards her window.
Outside; as expected, was Pinkie. Rainbow looked down at her with one eye open.
"Hey! Rainbow!!!''
"What??'' Rainbow spat as she glared down at the pony who ruined her happy and content slumber.
"Woooow Dashie; you seem a little tense!'' Pinkie waved a hoof dismissively.
"Anyways; I was hoping you'd want to go on an early morning walk, ya know... to get a bit of sunshine.'' Pinkie stated happily as the last sentence dropped from her mouth.
She smiled cheerfully as she waited for a response. From her good friend. Rainbow dash. Who looked as though she was staring daggers at Pinkie Pie right now.
"Pinkie, I don't know if you've noticed..'' Rainbow spoke in a soft tone, suddenly into a more moody one.. ''But its FREEZING outside. There is no sun, no warmth; let alone good enough weather conditions for~ chillaxing.'' Rainbow's words hung on that note.
Pinkies smile faltered and flattened. She didn't expect that answer.
But she shook it off. "Okay; by then Dashie!''
The sleepy mare groaned and slid (not so gracefully) her curtain closed and trotted back to sleep; well, that was until...
"CRASH!!!!!''
Well; she sure knew that Pinkie didn't call her by that mocking nickname, so she was more curious as to see who it was this time around. It seemed as though Dash wasn't going to get much sleep this morning; and she knew it.
Once again, she had the hardship of having to leave her warm bed and step onto the cold, chilling floor again.
She was about to walk over to her window, as that was where the last pony who annoyingly shouted her, however there was loud banging at her door. 'Okay, this sounds urgent.' She thought to herself as she zipped around and flew sharply towards her front door.
She landed just in front.
She opened it.
And there was Soarin. He looked panicked and looked as though he had been flying for hours.
Sweat was literally curling down his body, as well as this he was panting and looked very dizzy.
"Rainbow Dash! Oh, thank Celestia you're here...'' Soarin started to say whilst still softly panting for air.
"Well, I live here Soarin, why wouldn't I be?'' Soarin blushed in embarrassment.
"Yeah I guess.. its just that-''
"Um.. do you want to come inside? Its freezing out there.. I wouldn't want you to get a cold.'' Rainbow stepped to the side as Soarin confirmed a nod and trotted passed Dash, whilst he still had the same, concerned look plastered on his face.
"So, what's up?'' Rainbow asked hoping for a short answer so that she could go back to bed.
Soarin looked at Rainbow sternly. "I was in Ponyville, to buy a apple pie from your friend, Apple Jack...'' Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes. "Let me guess, they only had blueberry ones left?'' Rainbow asked mockingly with a grin painted on her lips.
Soarin didn't look amused. "No, I'm being serious here Dashie...''
"DASHIE??'' Rainbow repeated the pet name Soarin had just given her as heat began to lurk on her cheeks and her heart started to beat faster.
Soarins eyes widened as a strong magenta, the same colour as Rainbow Dashes eyes, appeared on each side of his own cheeks.
"I... nev-ever s-said that-at.'' Soarin protested flatly.
"N-never mind, just tell me what's wrong.'' Rainbow said as one of her back hooves nervously stepped back on the sharp, freezing ice cold floor which sent shivers down her spine.
"Anyway..'' Soarin continued '' I was in the everfree forest when-''
"Let me just stop you there Soarin, there have been hundreds of monster attacks there, let alone-''
"I know, but just let me finish.'' Rainbows expression started to differ.
"There was this rock, just a normal rock and I well, walked up to it..''
"ooh sounds scary.'' Dash exclaimed sarcastically. "Your soooooo brave Soarin, a rock, wow..'' Rainbow was not impressed. After all, her and the other elements of harmony had fought against the changelings' before they were reformed, Nightmare Moon, Discord, Tirek, Starlight Glimmer.... and Soarin came all this way, warning Rainbow Dash, element of loyalty and fellow Wonderbolt, that he had found a rock.
This sounded an awful lot like Maud Pie.
Maud Pie, Pinkies elder sister, who was obsessed with rocks. She literally lived on a rock farm.
But; what could be so terrifying about a rock?
Maybe Soarin was just afraid of everything.
Now Rainbow felt stupid about having a crush on him. She thought that he was brave, goofy and obsessed with pies.
But he was scared of a rock? 'Wait until I tell Spit and Fleet Foot about this one....' Rainbow thought to herself.
"You don't understand Crash, when I walked up to it, it glowed and suddenly all of the plants and life around it shrunk away and died.''
"Yeah, sure it did Clipper.''
"I'll prove it then Crash, follow me.''
Despite the fact that Rainbow didn't believe a single word that dripped out of his mouth, she obeyed, left the ground and flew after him. Although she didn't believe him, Dash wanted Soarin to prove her wrong. Fighting another evil creature from the evefree forest sounded exciting. At the moment it seemed that only Twilight and Starlight were the ones fighting enemies and villains.
Rainbow felt the adrenaline run through her wings and hooves as she flew faster and faster.
After all, Rainbow Dash was always up for an adventure.
