Shining Aura loses his job
It was another night and I was looking around town for crime when suddenly I heard noises from a nearby alley. I ran over towards it to see a colt with his hooves around a mare's neck. "What's going on here" I asked. "Nothing, we are just practicing to become actors" he responded. "So if I were to kick your friend who's 'just acting' what would happen?" I asked. "She wouldn't do anything because she is so comited to acting" he said. "I wish other actors were like that, have a good night" I said. "You too, if you need us we'll be swimming by the lake" he said. Why would somepony be swimming around this time of night, I wondered.
Several Days Later
Me and my police partner Sparkling Rays were called over to invegstigate a murder at the lake. "This body was found washed up on the shore of the lake 2 hours ago, the victim has marks on her neck" said an investigater. "Oh no not the aspiring actress!" I yelled out while in tears. "What?" Rays asked. "I met this mare a few days ago she and her friend were practicing to be actors, oddly enough she was acting out getting strangled." I said. "Shining Aura how retarded are you?" Rays said. "Wait, I don't understand" I said. "She wasn't acting Shining" Rays said. "So that's why the colt she was with said that he was going swimming" I said. "I think you should go see the chief" Rays said. So I went to see him and he wasn't that nice, he said that he should have never hired me and that I was a danger to have around and then he fired me.
I went home to my apartment to find an eviction notice, so I went to talk to my landlord "Why am I being evicted?" I asked. "Why? Because you never pay your rent, you play loud music all night, and just last week you almost burned this place down" she said. "Ok how was I supposed to know that the curtains were flameble, and that flying with a blowtorch was a bad idea?" I asked. "Get out!" She yelled. I walked around town not knowing what to do with my life. I got lost in my thoughts and bumped into somepony. "Sorry I didn't mean to bump into you" I said. "It's no big deal... hey is there something upsetting you" he asked. "Yeah I just lost my job and now I'm being evicted" I said. "You could stay with me in my apartment if you want to" he said. "But we just met" I said confused. "You seem like a nice person, my name's Neon Rain" Neon said. "I'm Shining Aura" I said. I spent the next few days moving into Neon's apartment and getting used to things. We sat on the sofa wacthing t.v when an ad came on "Do you have a talent? do you want to show it to the world? well lucky for you Equestria's Got Talent's new season is coming and there holding auditions near you". "You should audition" Neon said. "But what talent do I have?" I asked. "I can teach you some cool flying tricks" Neon said. "Sounds great" I said. The next 3 months of my life were horrible I spent all day training, and some of Neon's training methods were unnatural, I won't go into detail but they involved a bucket, some rope, butter, and a hammer. I slept calmly in my bed "WAKE UP!" Neon yelled. "Ahhhh not the bucket!" I screamed. "Don't worry that's not why I'm waking you up, I'm waking you up because today is the day of your audition for Equestria's got Talent" Neon said. "Alright I'm ready" I said.
I came back home after auditions "So how did it go" Neon asked. "It would be better if you watched it" I said. So we waited until it came on. "Welcome to Equestria's got talent what is your name?" asked a judge. "Shining Aura" I said. "And what will you be doing tonight?" asked a judge. "I'll be doing flying tricks" I said. I spent the next minute and a half putting on the best performance I could. Afterwards it was time to vote and they all voted no. "Why?" I asked. "We wanted to make this season easier so we are only taking 4 ponies" a judge said. " And what do they do?" I asked. "Well we have an 8 year old filly who sings those slow songs that mares listen to while eating ice cream when depressed, a 7 year old colt who sings high pitch songs that 13 year old fillies like, a group of ponies who dance to electronic music, and somepony with no talent who we are taking as a joke" another judge said. "You guys are jerks" I said. "Ok, now get off our stage" a judge said. After that. I turned off the t.v and said "It just makes no sense". "I know, what are they going to do for the rest of the season" Neon said. "I need to rest" I said.
After a couple of days I was looking for a job. After a long search I ended up getting a job selling groceries it was boring but it paid well. It was my 3rd day on the job a pony with a child approched me. "Hello do sell carrots" they asked. "Yes that will be 2 bits" I said, she paid me abd I gave her the carrots. "Son do you want anything?" she asked. "I want ice cream!" He yelled. "I'm sorry I don't sell ice cream" I explained. "Your lying!, give my kid ice cream" the colt's mom demanded. "I don't have any ice cream you crazy-" I stared to say before she tackled me. We went into a long fight but after a while the winner emerged, hint: it wasn't me. I woke up a couple of hours later and my boss said "Did you really fight with one of the custormers!". "But sir she-" I tried to say. "But sir what?, your fired!" He yelled.
I went back home and explained what happened to neon. "Wow your life is screwed up, but don't be sad why don't you and me go to a bar and pick up some mares" he said. "Why not I've got nothing to lose" I said.
Preview: How could this have happened the night started out normal with me and neon hanging out, now I'm in a fight with my old partner Sparkling Rays. "You don't really want to fight me Rays" I said. "Come at me bro" she responded.
