Chapters More tears at the funeral.
It's been two days since you found out about Snow Harvest. It still hurt to think about her. As you get up in the morning you pick out all black. You take a shower then dress in your black cape . You do your hair and but it in a bow that matched your cape. You set foot out of your humble home and headed towards the graveyard. Along the way you met up with your friends, Jingle, Midnight and Dazzle Flash. Without Snow Harvest your friend group was down to four. All of you had tears building in your eyes, and were dressed in black. None of you speak a word. Some Ponies in Ponyvill were also dressed in black and started to trail behind you. Others sadly nod at you with a tear in their eye.
Your, Your friends, and the trail of ponies, made it to the grave yard. You see a fine cassette lying open with a pretty, forevermore sleeping pony. The pastor stood by the cassette." We are gathered here today for a friend who has sadly passed. Snow Harvest was a happy pony, who loved helping ponies. She was a pony how loved to have fun" He paused as a nod came from the crowd."She had flaws, she did, but not many. Snow will be surely missed by every pony." The crowd was now in tears. Friends, parents ,and schoolmates were gather crying. Not one single eye was dry. As the pastor stepped away, each pony dropped a flower in to the cassette. After the last flower was dropped,the crowd watched the cassette close on Snow Harvest and lower in to the ground.Then dirt piled on top. Then the undertaker pounded in a grave stone that read: Snow Harvest lays here, and hopes to meet her friends again some day. Then the crowd and you, placed a bouquet of flowers on top. Each pony turned slowly, and still crying made there way back home. Many ponies talked about good times the had with Snow Harvest, but you and your friends stay quite.
Months have passed since the funeral happened. Six feet under your friends mortal body still lay. You and your friends never was and never will be the same without Snow Harvest. Tears still happen here and there, but most of the physical mourning has stopped. Yes you still feel hurt and the faintest amount of depression, but you were used to it by now. Ponyville is a little less happy now, not as much fun stuff to do. Most days you sit staring out the window. Faraway looks cast in your friends eyes. Midnight's wonderful poems are now sad and depressing. Dazzle Flash is not as kind as she used to be. Jingle, is still boy crazy but she started wearing darker colors. And you well, don't talk much, and found a passion of art. But most art you make resembles broken hearts.
One day at lunch, Jingle broke the silence. " Do you know what today is? She asked
Darn! You forgot, seven years ago you and your close friends became what you all are today, friend though thick and thin. You call this day Friendship day. But how could have you forgotten? " Yes" you answer slowly. " Friend ship day."
"Yup" Jingle, Dazzle Flash and Midnight say in unison.
You are heading your way to lunch, when Gold Sorm comes up to you.
"It's fine. I shouldn't have ran of like that. I was dumb." You responded.
" So we are good?" He ask.
"You bet. Wanna sit with my friends and I at lunch."
" Sure thing."
At lunch the school was served salad. You introduced Gold Storm to your friends. Most of your friend were happy to meet him. All except for one.
" YOU THINK HE CAN REPLACE SNOW HARVEST!!!!!!!!!!!!" Jingle yelled. "THIS DUMMY WILL NEVER REPACE SNOW!!!!" She picked up her tray and stormed of. You could see that tears were streaming down her face.
"I'm sorry for the way she is acting." You say.
You and your friends had a normal day at school. After school ,Jingle and Snow Harvest went to your house to plan events for tomorrow, Saturday." We can go to the beach, maybe find a new date" Jingle, your boy crazed friend suggest.
" I will bring all the fun stuff necessary, beach balls, cool sunglasses, a pail and shovel and more." Snow Harvest says.
" I knew you would say that. I will bring Towels, sun lotion, all the stuff we need to be at the beach." You say. You know that your two closest friends don't think about the things that they will have to bring, just the extras.
" Jingle, are you going to bring anything?" asked Snow Harvest.
" Duh, Snow, I will bring waterproof and heatproof makeup. Of course I will need to bring all of us the most cutest bathing suites." Jingle says as starts filing her nails.
" What are we going to do after we go to the beach?" You ask.
" I dunno, maybe have Dazzle Flash and Midnight over for a sleep over at my place. I have popcorn a movie and a bunch of fun games. Truth or dare is a good one. Maybe pony-hunt." Snow Harvest started naming fun games for the planed sleepover.
" I could do everypony's mane!" Jingle suggest.
" Any who, Jingle and I got to go. We have to rest up for tomorrow." Snow says.
" OK, see you two tomorrow 7 am. " you say as you lead your friends out.
The next morning you wake you to a rainy day. Instead of the soft rain you heard last night, this time it is hard and was bearing against your window like a drum sounding a alarm. You remember why you were so excited for today. You were going to the beach with Jingle and Snow Harvest, the were going to a sleep over with Snow Harvest, Jingle, Midnight, and Dazzle Flash.
In spite of the happiness you feel as it something is not right, something is missing.
You get up out of your bed to take a shower, then check your text.One was from Midnight. It read: Hey, I just got the news that Snow Harvest passed away last night. Funeral is at 8:00 Monday morning.
You try to process in your head what you just read. You figure it out. Your friend ,Snow Harvest is gone forever and you were invited to the funeral.Your eyes start to water.You can't hold the tears back for long . The tears start to flow down your face uncontrollably. Soon there is a huge puddle of water around you. You Think about how you will never see Snow Harvest again. You wonder how many of your other friends know about Snow's passing. Most likely all of them, because it was so urgent. You wipe the tears that are rolling down your cheeks away.
Memories
Many months later you start to have memories about Snow Harvest. Like the day you first met.
You were just starting your first day of school. You were a nervous little filly with no friends. The cold fall breezes were coming. Your favorite time of year. As you enter the school building you quickly find your class room. You find your name tag on a desk next to a girl named Snow Harvest. Soon your teacher starts meet and greet with your classmates. You introduced yourself to Snow Harvest. She ask you to sit her at lunch. You say yes. Soon after the day you two were friends.
You remembered that she was the reason why you where friends with other ponies today. You start to tear up again, how you miss her so. Another memory comes to mind.
" Hey! Wanna have a sleep over at my house?" asked a voice over the phone
"Sure thing Snow Harvest." You end the call and run over to her house.
" Lets eat some pizza and watch a movie then play Pony hunt or truth or dare!" Snow harvest exclaimed.
The two of you sat in front of the television to watch Harry Potter and the sorcerers stone You are at the part when Hermione meets Harry and Ron.
" I'm Snow Harvest and you are?" Snow harvest said trying to be the most like Hermione.
You stuff your face with food. You say your name. The the two of you start laughing out loud.
" We should use that as an inside joke!" Snow harvest said.
" Eeyup" you say, trying to mimic your favorite pony in ponyvill, Big Mac.
" Ohhh, It looks like some pony has a crush on Big Mac." Snow Harvest teased
You blush.
Time to make new friends
It now has been a year since you heard about Snow Harvest.It's been a year since you saw her. Yes, you and your remaining friends are sad. But maybe it was time to move on, get new friends.No that's impossible, you are still the shy pony that you were when you first met Snow Harvest.
You head your way to school on a sunny morning. You and the rest of the ponies are waiting to be allowed inside of the school. You walk up to a pony who is all alone.
You are lying in you bed the next night and you drift off to sleep.
" My mortal friend," she starts" I am going to give you advice, become good friends with Gold Storm. He will stay by you and though thick and thin. Remember that, friend, remember it. Oh and Jingle will warm up to him trust me. Till we meet again"
The next morning you head for school out side you see Gold Storm again.
" Hey, I been thinking, I like you. Wanna come over to play video games and possibly exchange numbers?" He ask as he leaned against the wall.
"Sure, in fact, we can exchange Numbers right now." As you right down your number you continue, " Gold Storm this may sound weird, but you know how princess Luna sometimes give you advice in your dreams? Well last night I had one of those only It was Snow Harvest. She told me to become good friends with you and stick together thought thick and thin. Weird right?"
" Yes that is weird but listen to it." Gold storm said.
