A Twist of Fate.
Cold and Alone
Load Full StoryNext Chapter"Oh my.... I'm so lost now." Fluttershy thought to herself as she continued to walk deeper and deeper into the forest.
It was close to Hearths Warming Eve and Fluttershy had went for a walk in a forest, there didn't seem to be anything wrong with the forest except for the fact that the moment she entered the forest, Flutershy had felt uneasy about her ordeal. It was already close to dark and the poor girl was lost deep in the cold, dark forest.
"Oh.... I...I'm sooo c-cold.... Why'd I even come into these scary forest? Now I'm all alone and-" Fluttershy stopped speaking as she collapsed on the ground from getting too cold.
It was hours before any sign of life approached the freezing Fluttershy, a small white bunny rabbit made its way past her only stopping to look at her.
"Not even a bunny cares that I'm freezing..." Fluttershy thought as she laid in the snow. Time passed and Fluttershy felt as if she'd never see her friends, or anyone for that matter, again.
"Why?" Fluttershy thought as she cried. "Why did I come this way? Why am I all alone? I'm freezing to death and no one cares..." Fluttershy began to feel faint.
As she began to lose consciousness, Fluttershy noticed something from a distance, someone or something was running towards her. "OH CELESTIA! I DON'T WANT TO DIE!" Fluttershy thought but couldn't find the strength to shout it out.
"Oh my gosh! Don't worry Miss! I will save you!" The man cried out.
The man was dressed from head to toe in winter gear. He was wearing a white helmet, a white snow hoodie, a white trench coat, a pair of white pants, black jack boots, and had a large backpack which he pulled a blanket out of.
"This will keep you warm until we get to my place." He said as he wrapped the chubby girl in the large blanket.
"Th-thank you so... so much..." Fluttershy said as tears poured down her face.
"Think nothing of it miss! Just doing what's right." The man said.
They finally arrived at a large log cabin in the middle of the forest. The man put Fluttershy close to the fireplace, gave her some hot coco, along with some soup, and sat down next to her as he removed his hoodie, helmet, goggles, and mask.
"Name's Mal by the way. I hope you don't mind me asking but what is a beautiful woman like yourself doing in this forest? Don't you know how dangerous this place is?" The man asked.
Fluttershy blushed, both from embarrassment and from the complement. In all her life, she always felt ugly because she was overweight, not fat but just overweight, so his complement really made her day.
"Well.... I wanted to go for a walk because tomorrow's Hearths Warming Eve and-" Mal cut her off "Hearths Warming Eve? Don't you mean Christmas Eve?" He asked.
Fluttershy gave him a puzzled look, than she realized something. Normally, the locals of Equestria not only knew about and celebrated Hearths Warming Eve, but they always have a magical aura around them. Mal didn't have that aura.
"Oh! Wh-what are you?" She asked. Mal raised an eyebrow before giving her a smile and a hug.
"I'm a human. I thought you and I were both humans. Here lets remove that jacket of yours." He said as he removed her jacket, revealing a shocking surprise. Wings. She had wings.
"What the?! Okay maybe you're not a human. But either way you are still an attractive woman." He said as he slid under the blanket and snuggled close to Fluttershy.
"By the way, you didn't tell me your name." Mal said as he laid his head on her shoulder.
"Oh, I'm Fluttershy. You are a really nice, and handsome, man.... I've never been told I was beautiful, nor attractive before in my life... I've mostly been called Fattershy, Buttershy, Hootershy, and a bunch of other mean and hurtful things." Fluttershy said as she began to cry at the thoughts of insults entered her head.
"WHAT?! Don't you ever let those words get you upset! You are the most beautiful woman I've met! Since you're gonna be here for awhile I figure you should be comfortable, so if you want some alone time then I will-" Mal stopped when he noticed Fluttershy's expression. She was blushing and had a large smile on her face with tears running down it.
"Thank you so much Mal! And no, I don't want alone time... I had plenty of that in the forest. Besides, a attractive boy like yourself who actually thinks I'm beautiful shouldn't be made to stay by himself." She said as she wrapped her arms around him.
Mal's face was red, in all his life he had been the misfit who was told he would never ever get anyone to love him but yet he was in the arms of a beautiful, chubby woman... And he wouldn't have it any other way.
"You know something Fluttershy.... I think we are gonna be best friends." Mal said as he got two pillows and placed them on the couch. He then tried, but failed, to lift Fluttershy onto the couch.
"Oh, don't you have a bed?" Fluttershy asked, seeing as how Mal was gonna give himself a hernia if he kept trying to lift her up.
"Well I do, but I wanted to stay by your side and I felt it rude to make you sleep on the floor and-" Fluttershy cut him off. "You don't need to worry! I'm comfortable sharing." She said as she picked him up.
"Okay... see that door on the right? That's the bed room." He said as he pointed to a door. Fluttershy carried him into the room and laid him down on one side while she laid down next to him.
"Good night, Mal. Please be here when I wake up..." Fluttershy said as she fell asleep.
Mal placed a kiss on her cheek and whispered "Don't worry, I won't leave your side no matter what." into her ear.
Mal wrapped his arms around the sleeping Fluttershy and went to sleep himself. For the first time in both their lives, they had found their true loves, each other.
