Giving Birth

   Twilight Sparkle was in her room silently reading a book. She was laying down on her bed as she read away. She felt a sharp pain inside her but had no idea what it exactly was. She was at the doctors last year and they said that everything was fine. She felt another pain. She gripped her midriff and gasped in pain. She waited for it to go away. Soon enough it did. She calmed herself down wondering about what happened.

     When she didn't come up with any possibilities she sat back down and tried to read her book thinking it was gone. After a few moments. She felt a constriction and she gasped and flinched. It was longer this time and it was getting on her nerves. She tried to take deep breaths to calm her self.

      She then waited for a few moments and then went to her medicine cabinet and took pain medication hoping it would relieve the pain that she was having. After that she went to sit down again. Soon she started to feel pain that felt worse than any pain she had felt before. She grit her teeth trying to figure out what was causing her pain. It was something she had never felt before.

    She had no idea what she was dealing with. She felt something wet drop from her. She turned around and saw that it was a watery substance. She furrowed her brow as she went to the bathroom and try to go. She went and as soon as she stood up she flushed. She didn't see any urine which she did not get. She started to go again. The water dripped down her legs so she wiped it up and then went back out to the living room.

    She tried to get her mind off of the pain that was going on and the water so she tried to write an essay to get her mind off of it when she then realized that she was pregnant and her water just broken. She then began to panic as she had no idea what to do. She had no idea if she was going to keep the foal or put it up for adoption. She didn't have any clue how she got pregnant.

     She couldn't remember if she had sex but she most probably did have it since she was pregnant. She didn't even know she was pregnant. She also wondered on who the biological father was. She probably now had to tell her friends and her family which she was going to be embarrassed about.

     She thought about going to the Ponyville hospital but she rejected that idea as she hated hospitals. They were never helpful. She didn't know if the hospital would steal her foal. She didn't even know if she wanted to keep her foal. She also wondered if the hospital would judge her. She then decided to give birth to it by herself. She sat down and levitated towels over to her with her magic. She then laid them down on the carpet. She then laid down and pushed with all her might. She squeezed her eyes shut as she pushed her foal out. She stopped and took a deep breath and then continued.

     She turned her head to look and saw that the foals head was sticking out. She pushed with all her might. She pushed so much it started to hurt her. Tears ran down her cheeks as the pain was so unbearable. She stopped and took a few deep breaths. She then continued to push long and hard. Her face started to become red.

     She stopped and let herself calm down and then went back to pushing. She pushed hard with her muscles inside her walls. Tears started to drip down her face as she pushed with wall her strength. She pushed continuously. She began to shake she pushed even more as she started to see that the foal had its head out. She gave another strong push. She grit her teeth as the pain was unbearable.

    Her eyes were filled with tears as she continued to push the foal put. She started to bleed. She panicked thinking it was the foals blood. She started to cry even more and pushed the foal out as hard as she could. She screamed in pain. She pushed the foal out with even more strength. The foal then slid out and cried and Twilight caught it with her magic and levitated it over in front of her to see it.

      She looked at it as she and the foal still cried. She saw the umbilical cord and grabbed the cord with her teeth and chewed it off. She finished and spat it out. She had no idea on what to do. She thought on what to tell her parents and family as she was totally at a lost on what to do. She started to examine the foal to make sure it wasn't bleeding. She was relieved to find out that it wasn't bleeding. The blood was her blood. She dried the baby off and swaddled it.

    She levitated it into her arms and rocked it gently to make it calm down. She watched the foal as she proceeded to calm it. It soon quieted down. Twilight stared at it with no idea on what to do. She didn't have any supplies to take care of a foal and she certainly didn't have anything to feed it with. She tried to think of a way on how to tell her friends and family. She wondered on what to do with the foal. She thought of keeping it or giving it up for adoption.

     She had no idea if she was ready for being responsible for taking care of a foal. She also started to try and figure out who the father was. She didn't remember having sex.  She never even knew that she was pregnant. She looked down at it having no idea on what to do next. She thought of telling a doctor but quickly decided against that as nopony had any right to touch it or take it.

      She wondered on building a crib but that would mean that she would have to buy supplies and that would get ponies suspicious. She sat down on a chair while holding the baby wondering on what to do? She put her bay in a carry pouch and then put the puck on her and then She then went to Nurse Redhearts office. When she got there she saw Nurse Redheart on a bench having her lunch break got right in front of her and spoke.

      "I gave birth and you have no right to take my baby away from me." Twilight said in serious voice. Nurse Redheart was shocked at this sudden appearance of Twilight and was confused by Twilights allegation.

    "I wasn't going to take your foal away. I didn't even know you had one. The only thing I would do would be to give it a health check and give it right back to you for you to take home. Nurse Redheart explained.

    "Did you just give birth?" Nurse Redheart asked.

    "Yes! Twilight yelled. Nurse Redheart shook her head and spoke.

     "I don't know why your accusing me of doing such a thing I wouldn't do. Alls I pretty much want to do is check the foals health and get a crib set up for your foal and. I want to help you." Nurse Redheart said as she smiled.

     "Thanks." Twilight cautiously said as they both hugged eachother. After that they both got to work as Nurse Redheart sent ponies letters telling them to go shopping for foal supplies for Twilights little one. Nurse Redheart also sat down and Twilight gave Nurse Redheart her foal and Nurse Redheart checked it. Once Nurse Redheart declared it to be healthy she gave it back to Twilight. Once she did they both sat down and Twilight apologized for acting hostile towards Nurse Redheart.

     "I'm sorry for accusing you of something bad. It wasn't right." Twilight said. Nurse Redheart patted Twilights shoulder

    "Your forgiven." She said. They both waited there as baby supplies was brought over for Twilights foal. A construction pony went over and set up the foals room. After that Twilight thanked the ponies that helped her with all of the shopping and they all left. Once they got that done Nurse Redheart and Twilight both looked at eachother.

     "Thanks for all of your help. I appreciate it." Twilight said. Nurse Redheart smiled.

    "Your welcome. I have one more question though before I leave." Nurse Redheart said. Twilight smiled and urged her to ask it.

    "What's that?" Twilight asked.

     "Have you even named your foal yet?" Nurse Redheart said. Twilight cursed herself mentally. She never got around to naming her foal. She felt embarrassed.

    "To be honest...i never got around to it. I was to busy setting up a place for it to sleep. I don't even know what sex it is." Twilight said.

    "It's a mare." Nurse Redheart stated. Twilight nodded.

      "I'm sorry I just never got around to figuring that part out." Twilight said with guilt. Nurse Redheart shook her head.

    "It's okay I understand. I was just wondering when you were going to name her." Nurse Redheart said. Twilight sat down and looked down at it.

    "I was so busy fixing stuff up for her that I didn't get around to naming her. I'm sorry!" Twilight apologized. Nurse Redheart walked up and touched her shoulder.

    "It's okay Twilight I understand. I'm not trying to criticize you about it." Nurse Redheart said smiling.

     "Does Celestia know?" Twilight asked. Nurse Redheart shook her head no.

     "I'm going to let my parents and Nurse Celestia know." Twilight stated writing letters to them. She then sent the letters and waited. A few minutes later letters both came back from her parents and Celestia congratulating her. She also wrote letters to her friends and they wrote letters Congratulating her as well. As soon as she got done with that she still didn't have a name.

    She also started to wonder on who the father was. She was mysteries by this. Did she even want to find out?

     "Who...do you think the father is?" Twilight asked. Nurse Redheart thought for a few  moments and spoke.

     "I really don't know." Nurse Redheart said.

    "Well I'm curious. I don't remember having sex or getting raped." Twilight stated. Nurse Redheart furrowed her brow and spoke.

    "Then how did you get pregnant?" She asked. Twilight laughed and spoke.

     "I don't know!" Twilight exclaimed honestly.

     "Do you want to find out?" Nurse Redheart asked. Twilight thought about her options. Did she really want to meet the father? She had no idea on what she would say if she met him. She started to get an uneasy feeling. She felt like she didn't want to know. She shook her head.

    "No! I don't. I never want to." Twilight said with a shaky breath. Nurse Redheart quickly changed the subject so she didn't upset Twilight.

      "Okay. You don't have to. Why don't we think of a name?" Nurse Redheart said.

     "Can I keep my foal?" Twilight asked.

    "Of coarse you can!" Nurse Redheart exclaimed. Twilight nodded. Nurse Redheart looked at Twilight and spoke.

    "Aren't you going to name her? Nurse Redheart asked. Twilight started to think of names again. She watched her foal sleep quietly as she proceeded to think up a name. She thought about her daughter as she tried to put together a perfect name for her foal.

     "I can't really come up with anything." Twilight stated. Nurse Redheart shook her head.

     "She needs a name. Every foal does. No parent makes their kid go nameless." Nurse Redheart said. Twilight looked at her foal and thought. She smiled as a name came to her mind. It seemed to be the perfect name for her foal. She looked up to Nurse Redheart and spoke

     "Shining Star. Her name is Shining Star." Twilight said in a soft and emotional voice. Nurse Redheart wrote it down and left Twilight alone with her foal. Twilight leaked tears of happiness as she looked at her foal.
