//-------------------------------------------------------// Doctor Whooves - A Masterful Discording -by ROS3_xAzure- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A Dark Apprehension //-------------------------------------------------------// A Dark Apprehension The mysterious alicorn trotted forward with heavy hoofsteps. Emerging out of the shadows and mists, the appearance taking the resemblance of Nightmare Moon’s. She galloped and leapt in the air resulting in a striking land on the Doctor. Pinned down against the soft carpet, it really didn’t hurt that much, but the heavy hoof on his body did. “Where and when did you arrive?!” The Doctor felt threatened by the booming voice. “I...I...I don’t understand how this is relevant to the current…” the Doctor replied with stutters and a weak voice but was cut off before he could finish “Just answer my question!” In a feeble voice the Doctor replied again, “Two months ago, the fourth of May.” Princess Celestia was shocked and angered that her sister would dare attack the Doctor, “Sister! What in the name of Equestria is this!” Nightmare Moon ignored her and asked the Doctor yet another question, “ Who is Rose?” The name… he heard the name yet again. The painful memories flushed back into his mind, the day he lost her. The traumatic reminiscence left with a tear in it’s wake. The single tear trickled down his face, Nightmare Moon backed off and transformed back into the loving and peaceful Princess Luna. “My apologies Doctor, I was afraid you were a clone like the other one I saw in Manehatten.” The loud booming voice of before was now was tranquil and calm. “What clone?” The Doctor sounded just as surprised as Celestia. “Back, while I was doing some errands in Manehatten, I saw you walking down the street, so I came to greet you, more so the clone. Just as I approached it, the clone started chasing after other ponies that were around, trying to attack them.” “It did what?!” Princess Celestia stared at Luna with her eyes widened. “But then I tackled it towards the ground, suddenly it just vanished. Last thing I saw was thin streams of blue light ascending into the sky.” “Sounds very much like a hologram. A hologram is a, sort of a virtual clone. Somepony is controlling the movements and actions of it, and designed to look like me. More so, the light of the hologram beamed back into the sky, meaning that the transmitter is probably on an airship. Sounds vaguely familiar to somepony who would do this, but it can’t be possible,” the Doctor started pacing slowly back and forth as he spoke, his voice spoken like a scientist who just won first prize for an invention. “My dear Doctor, I would like you and Ditzy to investigate the happenings of this occurrence,” Princess Celestia asked respectfully. “I would love too.” The Doctor replied back cheerfully. “Come on Ditzy back to the Tardis, we’ll have a big day tomorrow.” “Ok Doctor. By the way, what’s happening?” Ditzy didn’t seem to have paid attention to what happened. “I’ll tell you back on the way.” The Doctor sounded annoyed but gave a small smile, after all, it was Ditzy. “Doctor! It would be a pleasure if you stayed the night here at Canterlot castle. We’ll have a bed ready for you and Ditzy, think of it as my apology.” Luna had a face like she was a suspect for a crime. “Thank you that would be lovely.” Luna personally escorted them to their rooms, a luminous shade of dark blue opened the door. The trotted at a slow pace, nudging in a conversation along the way. Though it took many tries, in the end the Doctor managed to properly explain the current situation to Ditzy. It took several turn to reach the bedrooms, as the doors opened, there was a stunning display of renovation. There was the same carpet, now the colour had changed to a clear blue with a tone of turquoise. The beds themselves were already luxurious enough, a queen sized bed with silken, pale pink pillow topped off with a summer, triple refined cotton blanket. Ditzy had already went to sleep, she looked so innocent, so lovely. Luna said her goodbye and left the two to sleep peacefully. Outside was a balcony connected to the front castle wall, the Doctor rested his hooves upon the marble railing. Off in the horizon, the sun started to set, surrounding it were beautiful shades of pink, yellow, orange and light purple.  The Doctor finished off his thoughts and dozily trotted off to bed, falling asleep. o.O.o The Doctor woke up to the bright rays of light in his eyes, rubbing his eyes, he noticed that Ditzy was not in bed. The Doctor looked at his watch, the time read as 15 past 7, the odd thing really, was that Ditzy never woke up before 8 o’clock. Realizing that something was wrong, the Doctor went out into the main hall searching for her. In his searching, there were absolutely no guards anywhere to be seen, he quickly rushed to the throne room to see Celestia. The doors were sealed tight, the Doctor tried tackling the door, but even that would not work. The doors suddenly opened as the Doctor went for another swing, he stumbled across the floor muzzle first, he forced himself up, he comforted his injured muzzle. As his head lifted up, the sight he saw horrendous, Princess Celestia was lying unconscious on the floor, the vital scan reading form the sonic screwdriver told her dead, but she was still breathing. ‘The Doctor, the man who keeps running, never looking back, ‘cause he dare not out of shame,’ the eerie voice echoed throughout the room, still lingering after it had finished. Drums started playing, *tat tat tat tat*, all playing in a rapid session. The drumming began to crescendo, crazed insane laughs followed. ‘No...no… it can’t be, not him!’ the Doctor’s mind raged with drumming and laughter. Ultimately, mist appeared from thin air, within held two silhouettes, one shaped as a pony, the other with the body parts of various animals. The Doctor succumbed to the insanity, as a result, he was never to be seen again, Equestria was plunged into great chaos. o.O.o The Doctor woke with a start, his heart pounding in his chest, breathing rapidly. Droplets of sweat saturated his brown coat, his fur was all scruffy and messy, a chilling tingle went down his spine. Stupefied, he darted his head around. It was already morning, Ditzy was still in bed, sleeping soundly. This was the first nightmare he had in ages, but was it so real. Technically, it was meant to be a nightmare, yet all the factors in the nightmare made it seem so realistic. If it was real, then Equestria would be in great danger. Submerged deep within his sub-conciseness, the Doctor tried forgetting the dream and moving on. There was a gentle knock on the door “Come in”, the Doctor was still tired. “The Princess demands to see you immediately,” there was a guard outside waiting for him. “Ok, just let get dress first.” The Doctor put on his coat and tie, Ditzy was still asleep so he left her as she was. He exited the room and started making his way to Celestia. Making his way through the great hallways and corridors, the Doctor finally reached the throne room. Celestia sat upon her throne, as always. “Doctor please let me introduce you to the fellow ponies who shall be accompanying you.” The door behind, opened, to reveal six young ponies. “This is Applejack.” “Howdy sir.” There stood a orange pony, with yellow mane and tail, she had a cutie mark as an apple. “... Pinkie Pie.” “Hello, hello, hello, hello.” Seemingly the Doctor could notice that Pinkie Pie was energetic. She was a sweet, yet hyper pink pony. “... Rainbow Dash.” Rainbow Dash was a pony like no other, and as to her name, her mane and tail were colored rainbow. “Hey.” She spoke in a rough voice, but was kind and calm. “...Rarity.” “Salutations my good sir.” Noble she spoke, in a tone of manner and sophistication. A white pony with a beautiful purple mane and tail. “… And last but not least, my faithful student Twilight Sparkle.” “Hello sir.” The six ponies lined up in front of the Doctor, all ready to begin. “They’ll help on your investigation Doctor.” //-------------------------------------------------------// Reminiscence //-------------------------------------------------------// Reminiscence They were ready to move out by in a few minutes, meanwhile the Doctor sat down and contemplated about his nightmare, but he could not bear the thought of it. The gates outside the castle were opened, the Tardis just stood there in plain sight. Everypony brought along with them a few bags for food and warm clothes for up north, everypony except for Rarity. She brought what seemed like tons of bags. Each on differently colored, they were nice looking boxes though. “Umm… Rarity, I am not going to carry all that with me.” “But I need them.” Rarity started whining by this point. “Well, just take the ones that you really really need and leave the spares behind.” “Ok…” Rarity was annoyed that she couldn’t bring of her ‘fabulous’ clothing. Ditzy was already inside, waiting for them. She was fiddling with the controls to start the Tardis. In his spare time, the Doctor would train Ditzy to use the Tardis, cause the Tardis was meant to be a six person vehicle, with the Doctor only, it would be quite hard. One last ready was given to them, all nodded and agreed to be ready. Off the Tardis went, the whirring noise as it left the Canterlot grounds for Manehatten. Twilight was poking around the place, looking at various controls and bits of the Tardis. “What exactly is a Tardis?” “Well… firstly, TARDIS stands for Time and Relative Dimension in Space. SO theoretically, it can travel though time and space.” The Doctor could tell through Twilight’s eye that she was fascinated. She would often go around looking nearly everywhere. She was also astonished that the inside was bigger than the outside. She tried coming up with some crazy ideas, but none were close. There was a loud thud as the Tardis landed. “Gee… that was a rough ride.” Rainbow Dash seemed a little concerned about the ‘little’ trip. “I do leave the brakes on...” “Why in haystack would you do that for?” Applejack seemed concerned as well. “…um… it’s more fun that way.” Rainbow Dash and Apple Jack weren’t even going to reply back. Meanwhile on other hands, Fluttershy looked traumatized, and Pinkie Pie was dancing and jumping around blaring out “BEST RIDER EVER.” The Doctor went and helped Fluttershy up. “Are you ok Fluttershy?” “Yes, yes I’m ok, just a bit bumpy that’s all.” She spoke in such a fragile manner, her tone low and soft. “Come on everypony, we’ve got work to do.” Twilight was hesitant of leaving the Tardis, not before she could do some research on it. The others shook their heads as if the knew this was to happen. “You can stay here if you want Twilight, by the way, there’s a instructions manuel of by the shelf there.” She just shook her head in agreement and went over to collect the book. The Doctor and others all went outside. Splitting up to cover more ground in search of clues. Many hours went by but nothing was found yet. The Doctor called them in for a rest, it was a good thing they landed near the outskirts of the city, there was a lovely hill upon. Deciding to have a mini picnic there, Applejack and Pinkie Pie brought out some ready made foods. The smell, which came from them was delicious, there were apple fritters, apple pie, apple cider and even a apple cake. Pinkie Pie brought whole brightly pink bags of goodies, filed with candy and sweets to the brim. The view, seen from afar was picturesque. Green fields of long bladed grass to be seen for miles, on either sides were forests, filled with tall, large trees grown with dark green leaves. Snowy mountains which ran along the horizon, to make it even more fascinating, the sun started setting. Shades of pink, orange and yellow surround the view, indulging in captivation. The golden rays of light pierced through white fluffy clouds shinning upon the spot in which they sat. After the meal, everypony went off enjoying the time before night came. Rarity still sat there, wearing a silk laced hat, decorated with white tulips and red roses, she was dressed in fine woven wool and silk, the combination called for a soft, comforting wear while it shimmered in the sun, staring off into the horizon. Twilight had come out for some pie, though she sat there, reading the Tardis manuel, so focused in. She started making some calculations about the arch trajectory and velocity of the Tardis, scribbling notes all over the piece of paper. Fluttershy was off to find some local fauna and flora, with luck she found a glistening waterfall nearby, trees surround the lot and many animals frolicked within the trees, fishes swam in the blue waters, birds sang songs. Fluttershy laid down and closed her eyes. Rainbow Dash darted in the sky, weaving in and out of clouds. She really couldn’t be helped, few days back the Wonderbolts asked her if she would join them. Ever since then, she’d be trained all day and night. Having such high hopes for the application tests would be good for her moral. Tearing through the sky at such speeds, suddenly that’s when a loud explosion was heard. Looking up at the sky, there was a large rainbow spreading all across, she had achieved another sonic rainboom. Pinkie Pie was out in the fields running all about, long the Doctor thought when Pinkie Pie would get tired. As for the Doctor, he laid on his back, thinking about Gallifrey. The fields of blazing red grass, and the Time Citadel stood magnificently upon the horizon. His thought of home were interrupted. Ditzy was snuggled up right next to the Doctor. He gave a small smile, all the adventures he had with Ditzy, the time they were in trouble,in the end they’d always escape and win, and the running, always the running. But his nightmare, could it be real, if it should be Ditzy would be in danger. The mighty sun sank down beneath the horizon, shades of pink, purple and blue growing stronger, dimming the oranges and yellows. The long awaited moon arose, whole in shape, a full moon would be a light in the wallowing darkness. Clear night skies allowed for perfect vision of the billions and billions of stars. A small cackling fire made the night warm and comforting, the soft mellow orange lights of the flames flickered. Life is most perfect when shared with friends, slowly learning, the Doctor came to realize that his life had been sad a miserable, all his life he had been running, forever it seemed. Now, the Doctor truly knows what it means to have friends. No longer will the good man be alone. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Meeting //-------------------------------------------------------// The Meeting The slow pacing whirr of the Tardis was all that could be heard, the Doctor was hard at work on the Time and Dimensional Temporal shift. After the finale against the Daleks, the Tardis was grounded in Equestria, Ponyville. “Maybe if I attach this and this,” the Doctor mumbled away about temporal shifts and science. His ever faithful, yet ‘bubbly’, companion Ditzy Doo was outside enjoying a picnic and the scenery. Bright, warm sunshine shone throughout Ponyville, a dazzling circular rainbow exploded across the sky, Rainbow Dash was out practicing her Sonic Rainboom. The refreshing breeze blew through the trees, creating a lovely leaf dance. Leaves fell in spectacular show, they swopped down and up as the breeze cut through them and finally they fell to the ground, forming a picturesque pattern. “Um… Doctor, maybe you should stop working and come out here. Just relax, we have plenty of time, it’s not like we’re rushing anywhere.” “Maybe I should take a break, in fact I will take a break,” there was a slight grunting noise as the Doctor lifted himself up from underneath the control panel. A door creaked as it closed behind the Doctor. As the Doctor looked outside and into the landscape, “It truly is a wonderful day Ditzy,” the Doctor spoke with a peaceful, pleased voice. In the far background, the majestic castle of Canterlot could be slightly seen, there were some clouds in the way but it was still visible. Rays of sunlight beamed off the golden capped roof. Life in Canterlot must have been really ‘adventurous’, yet there some hints of sophistication. The Doctor had only ever been to Canterlot once, for the Summer Sun Celebration, back when he and Ditzy first meet each other. The Doctor sat down next to Ditzy, he looked at her. She was staring in the blue sky, smiling. The Doctor had grown a special relationship with Ditzy, even though she may have a ‘bubbly’ personality, deep within, the Doctor felt love once again. He thought about Rose, both were very similar to each other. The Doctor felt great remorse for Rose, and just the thought gave a tear, in his mind he was afraid that he would lose Ditzy as he lost Rose but he was determined to avoid this fate again. In the clear blue sky, the Doctor saw a pegasus heading towards him, the pegasus seemed to wear some sort of armor, shining golden plating covered most of the torso and head. Fashioned similar to a Roman’s Galea, the helmet was topped off with an extension of the mane onto a stand. The same told for his shoes. The view of the pegasus became clearer and clearer. “That’s a Pegasus Guard, you can tell by the golden armor that he serves Princess Celestia, but why is he heading towards us,” Ditzy spoke with a ‘bubbly’ voice as always, but seemed surprised. The pegasus guard landed in front of the duo, a clear loud voice spoke “By her demands, Princess Celestia herself, would appreciate for you to have an audience with her.” The pegasus looked at the Doctor as he spoke, silently declaring that Celestia would like to see the Doctor and him only. The Doctor knowingly said, “That is such an honor, but I am not leaving Miss. Ditzy here her own.” The guard took a few of moments of thought and came to a conclusion, he nodded to show that Ditzy could join the Doctor to see Princess Celestia, he then flew away into the sky, back to the castle. Both the Doctor and Ditzy entered the Tardis, quickly sprinting towards the control panel, pressing buttons and pulling levers, the Doctor started the Tardis in haste as he would not want the Princess to be waiting. The Tardis whirred loudly as it dematerialized from it’s location. A thump went was the Tardis landed outside the golden plated arched door of Canterlot Castle. One of the Royal Unicorns Guards stationed on either side of the castle door greeted the Doctor and Ditzy, “The Princess is waiting for you inside.” The guard waved his forehoof at another guard that signaled to take the Doctor and Ditzy inside to see Celestia. The unicorn lead them to a great hallway, inside was just simply breath-taking. Huge towering paned windows had artworks inscribed into them. The soft and luscious maroon carpet gave a supple feeling to the Doctor’s hooves. At the end of the hallway, there was another arched door like the one at the entrance, a luminous glow of purple framed the door and the unicorn’s horn. The large doors creaked wide open and they both entered. The unicorn stood outside, he gave a nod and closed the doors. Paned windows surround both side, and still they were on the supple carpet. There she was, Princess Celestia sat at the very end of the room, her throne be in the the middle and seemed more like so to divide the whole room in two. Celestia spread her wings, the luminescence of the light she gave off emitted warm happy feelings in the two. The Princess spoke in a soft voice, yet it was loud enough to hear. “Welcome my Doctor, I’ve heard about the recent stories of yours. I can see that you and Ditzy have a great bond together.” “Thank you your majesty, it’s very nice to hear about the knowledge of me. Ditzy can be what I would say ‘bubbly’ but she is a great companion. What is the concern that brings me here?” The Doctor spoke in a formal manner, being most respectful towards the Princess. “Uh, yes the Doctor has been a great friend to me. We’ve traveled across lands seeing wonderful landscapes. We have the most fun of times.” Ditzy spoke in the voice that always made the Doctor produce a small smile. ‘Friend!? Ditzy thinks I’m a great friend. It always seemed like she was a great companion, but she just called me a friend. From what I’ve heard, Friends are an important belief here. Quite touching to hear this,’ the Doctor thought silently and as a reaction from Ditzy calling him a great friend. “Heartfelt at most, but the reason why I’ve brought you here today Doctor is because there were various fires throughout some towns, even the large ones. This is no natural cause my Doctor, field reports say that all the fires started exactly at the same time, there is enough proof that this was an intentional cause.” Celestia’s voice went from soft to concerned. Suddenly, the door creaked open behind them, there stood another pony. Surrounded by shadow and mist, it was hard to recognize. This was no regular pony, this one had both a horn and a pair of wings, an alicorn. The Alicorn spoke in a aggressive, loud booming voice , “We demand to knowest who thee is and why thou cometh here.” The Doctor just stared dumbfounded.
