*Woomf* “HELLO! Equestrians” said a loud and proud voice, standing on a stage looking upon thousands of mares and colts.
“i’m proud to be here to give out Awesome waves of bass drops and wubs”said the mare standing on the stage, listening to the crowd wrar at her in excitement jumping up and down trying to get her attention or just straight up screaming.Colours and colours of ponies flood the stadium in a huge rainbow like mix.
the mare standing on the stage then proceeds to lift her forearm and within a split second,she hits a button that reveals a giant ‘bass cannon’ from behind her which then starts playing a loud rhythmic tone, and from within that sound a voice yells “YO! Vinyl Scratch! crank that shit up!”
A scratch further.

Music plays its loudest as Vinyl Scratch stands her proudest. Head banging to the music she hears an echoing yet recognizing voice.
“Vinyl?” the voice says, Vinyl stands there confused but then ignores it and carries on playing her music to her fans.
“Yeah! let’s crank it u-”she then gets cut off.
“Vinyl!?” the voice repeats with a more louder tone.
“Wahh?” Vinyl mumbles in confusion.
“VINYL!!” the voice shouts angrily.
Vinyl’s world then starts to warp around her until she is flying wide awake out of her bed “Whaaaa! what what! uhhh” She jumps up in fright and starts looking around quickly and then falls off her bed.
“Good! you’re awake” the voice says happily
“Octavia, w-whhhhhhhy” Vinyl groans as she gets up from slamming her face in the floor.
“Because, I have my Canterlot Cello opening and I need you to attend, my darling” Octavia answered in a sweet manor.
“ughhhhhh why would you be doing your Cello stuff this early anyway” Vinyl said still trying to wake up.
“it’s 3:30, besides I don’t have it until tomorrow, so you can sleep on the train” Octavia replied.
Vinyl then stood up shaking her head to wake herself up but still a bit buzzed from the slam she pulled off earlier. Vinyl stood there staring at the beautiful mare infront of her, a short moment of silence occurred until Octavia saw a small smirk rise on Vinyl’s face.
“what is it?” Octavia asked with a raised brow.

“Ohh god! Vinyl how dare you!” Octavia shouted, covering her snout, hiding a small smirk on her face as well. Vinyl however was laughing on the side of the bed while she watched Octavia walk out the room.
“just get dressed please!” Octavia said covering her snout.
“I am!” vinyl replied bursting in laughter.

The two mares set off down the street, heading towards the train station. On the way they walked through the main town past the shops, greeting friends who were walking by and talking to each other. Many were either busy setting their little shelters to sell bits and pieces or just constantly talking.
“Man I’m pretty hungry ” Vinyl said, rubbing her rumbling belly “think we can stop at that sugarcube place?”.
“Hmmm, ok, but! nothing too over priced ” Octavia answered handing her some bits “and make it quick please”.
“yeah, yeah ok i’ll be quick ” Vinyl replied, knowing she doesn’t get paid very often from her dj carrer, but when she does she gets paid quite allot.

Vinyl entered the shop and instantly dropped her jaw.
“Ohh sweet Celestia” she said to herself while she was drooling. There were lots, I mean lots of baked goodies and assorted food sitting on the tables and shelves. Vinyl sat there dreaming of eating everything, she was just about to buy the whole shop, until she realized what Octavia said to her.
‘nothing too over priced’ Vinyl remembered.
“Ohh, man but there’s so much good food!” she murmured to herself.
“HI! I’m pinkie pie!, can I help you get some scrumptious yummy gummy treats!?” the pink pony asked her all happy and excited
“AHH! woah, dude you scared me” Vinyl said in subtle fright.
“Oh, sorry I tend to do that allot! everypony says that I scared them so bad that-”she trailed off talking about other ponies and how she scared them to death with her excitement and such.
“Uhu? Well, I just want to buy something cheap and delicious” she said while a bit confused at the other pony.
“Vinyl, darling can you hurry it up please!” Octavia shouted ever so slightly from outside to get Vinyl’s attention.
“And fast” Vinyl explained to the happy pink mare.
Pinkie Pie (as she is called) then bolted her way into the kitchen, Vinyl stood there thinking did she just run off!? suddenly the happy pony zoomed back out of the kitchen and brought out a beautiful and delicious looking cupcake within seconds.
“Here you go” she said cheerily.
“Ohh, man that looks good” Vinyl said almost drooling on the floor ”so, uh, how much?” she said worrying how much it would cost, despite the fact it looked like you would have to pay hundreds to just touch it.
“Only two bits!” Pinkie Pie said, with a big smile on her face.
“Really?..thats-thats great” Vinyl said in a surprising tone “well, ok here you go” she said giving Pinkie Pie the bits she had floating in front of her,and then walked out the store, happy that she got something to eat......finally.
“I said quickly, darling, not a whole day” Octavia said in a teasing voice.
“sorry I got caught up from somepony” Vinyl replied.
“Pinkie Pie?” Octavia said with a slight sigh.
“ye-yeah how did you-”.
“she does that allot” Octavia interrupted ”come on we have to go now, my rehearsal for the opening is soon” she then added quickly.
“yeah,*nom* we shuld gess mofing” she said with a mouth full of cupcake, spitting tiny bits out from her mouth which ended up splatting against Octavia’s face.
“don’t speak with your mouth full, please darling”.

The two were still walking, but nearing their destination. While they walked, a blue Pegasus flew past. She turned her head to the two ponies walking by, in realization of who they were.
“Hey! Vinyl scratch!” said the Pegasus floating back towards them.
“Huh? Holy crap! Rainbow Dash!” Vinyl said in a surprised tone “man it’s been a while since I saw you last”.
“yeah, longer than I thought” Rainbow said with a chuckle.
“Ahh, the famous Rainbow Dash, Vinyl has talked a lot about you” Octavia said.
“Oh yeah, bout what?” Rainbow asked in curiosity.
“O, well just how good of a flier you are and how she knew you from her high school, and such” Octavia replied hesitantly.
A slight blush grew on Rainbows face when she remembered what she used to do with Vinyl in their high school, and not knowing how much Vinyl told Octavia.
“So!,uhh where are you guys head’n anyway? ” Rainbow said quickly changing the subject.
“Oh yeah, we’re just going to the train station for one of Octavia’s uh, cello thingies?” Vinyl said staring at Octavia waving a hoof trying to get her to figure out what she was saying.
“My cello opening, dear. Yes we are going to the Canterlot castle, for I am perform for the princess” Octavia said proudly.
“Oh yeah, that sounds um, great?” Rainbow said slightly un-interested in the whole instrumental talk.
“Would you like to come along, Ms Rainbow Dash?” Octavia suggested.
“um?, no thanks, i’v got plans with FireFly, were having a flight race together in the outbacks!”
“Oh thats ok Rainbow Dash, it was just a suggestion” Octavia said, though slightly disappointed. She doesn’t get many friends coming by her Cello performances, besides Vinyl that is.
“Woah, are you still seeing that dude! man I haven't seen him since he showed up Gilda at that crazy flight race back in high school!” Vinyl said, a bit surprised that he’s still alive from all the stuff he’s been through.
“yeah! he’s still pretty awesome, but will never be as awesome as me when I beat his flank at the race” Rainbow replied all soaked in her glory “well sorry guys, I don’t want to keep him waiting, besides you guys are here”.
Vinyl and Octavia looked away from Rainbow and saw the big sign that read ‘Ponyville train station’ they were both surprised how fast it seemed to go by while they were talking.
“Oh, that was fast.” Octavia said.
“Alright guys i’ll catch you’s up later kay” Rainbow Dash said before giving Vinyl a quick brohoof.
“Alright Rainbow, seya” Vinyl said releasing her hoof from Rainbows.
Rainbow Dash then gave a nod to Octavia and flew off in the direction of the distant sun princess Celestia cast upon them.
“She was a real nice pony” Octavia said smiling to the blue Pegasus as she flew off in the distance slowly shrinking to a black dot.
“you just wait till you get to know her properly” Vinyl chuckled.
Authors note: This is my first fic EVER! so it obviously wasn’t that great like all starters. so dont be afraid to criticize , hate, like what ever floats ya boat.Just don’t stab me with constant harsh words please.and if you could leave advice, that would be very appreciated.
Chapter 2: An unforgettable story.
“Next train, Appleloosa to Canterlot In three minutes” a voice from a speaker announced.
“Well than, three minutes it says” Octavia told Vinyl “let’s find a seat”.
Vinyl and Octavia, then sat on a bench waiting for that particular train to arrive. Both were sitting on their flank and hooves like a normal pony would. Unlike the unicorn who then sat next to them in an awkward looking position. Octavia could not help but notice how she was sitting and was staring at her with a kind of confused look. The pony didn’t really notice as she was staring blankly out where the train tracks layed themselves.
“I’m sorry if It bothers you, but” Octavia asked the pony “is it somewhat, uncomfortable sitting in that position, by any chance?”.
“O, well not really, to me that is” she explained “everyone else tries it, but finds it really uncomfortable. But I’ve grown on it so it doesn’t really bother me that much. The same goes with your question”.
“Same with my question?” Octavia asked confused.
“Oh, it’s just an uncomfortable question, but I’ve heard it so much it’s just grown on me. You see?” the unicorn replied.
“Ah yes I do see”.
“I know what you mean Lyra” Vinyl said from across the bench.
Lyra and Octavia then stared down the bench, only to find Vinyl scratch sitting the exact same way staring out to the tracks, Octavia sat there confused at her awkward position.
“Huh?, since when have you sat like that?” Octavia asked.
“Quite a bit actually, it’s mainly when I’m tired or get bored at your rehearsal stuff” Vinyl answered with a chuckle.
“you, think my cello rehearsals are…Boring” Octavia said with a frown.
“Aww, don’t be like that babe” Vinyl said putting an arm over Octavia “I may find it boring, but. It doesn’t mean I don’t love what you do, and to be honest I love the sounds that come from that instrument of yours, really ” She nuzzled against Octavia’s cheek.
“then, why did you say it was boring if, you loved the sounds of it?” Octavia said, still a little sad.
“maybe you just play it so well, it puts me to sleep, like a cool summer breeze” Vinyl explained to her mare friend, hoping to make her feel better.
“well, I do play my cello pretty good ” Octavia said “Ok , I forgive you” letting out a deep sigh, and smiling up towards Vinyl
“But we don’t have time for this right now the train Is arriving”.
“Appleloosa to Canterlot ready for boarding!” the voice from the speaker said loudly.
“Alright then, let’s go now ” Octavia said to Vinyl “O, and good bye Ms-”.
“Heartstrings, Lyra heartstrings” Lyra told Octavia.
“Yes, well good bye then, Ms Heartstrings” Octavia said before Vinyl remembered what to say.
“OH! Yeah sorry Lyra, see you later man” Vinyl said running back and giving Lyra a brohoof.
“Haha, good bye Vinyl, and good bye um, Tavi?” Lyra replied, sadly not remembering Octavia’s name.
“Uhh, close enough” Octavia replied with a smile before grabbing Vinyl, and waving good bye as they entered one of the cars of the train.

Moments pass as the two sit there looking out the windows and around the car ,looking at other ponies talk their gossip or sleeping. Trying to look for a conversation to start Vinyl pulls out the occasional “Sooo..” but nothing tends to happen after that, until Octavia spoke…for once.
“Oh um, I forgot to ask, how did you know that Lyra pony?” Octavia Said, trying to start conversation.
“Oh her, everypony knows her” Vinyl answered.
“Uhu, how come I haven’t heard of her?” Octavia asked.
“Oh, well people from ponyville highschool to be exact, haha”
“Why’s that?” Octavia said, still wondering why this pony was so famous and why she hadn’t heard of her. Surely after all these years in Ponyville she would of at least heard of such a story to make this pony known across the town.
“Well” Vinyl said nervously to tell her partner weather or not about the story of Lyra “ahh what the heck , everypony knows anyway” she said moving seats to get closer to Octavia, so she could hear all the details.
“Alright, so it all started back in ponyville high school -well when it was still around- so I was at a party right….”

‘so one day my mate Mush Room asked me if I could DJ at one of his parties, I was still in a rookie state but I agreed and went over the next night to play for them’
“hey, look who it is, the awesome DJ PON3, glad you could make it man” Mush Room said to Vinyl carrying a DJ table with her magic.
“h-hey man! wouldn’t m-miss it for an-anything else!” she said, struggling to carry her DJ table.
“Uhh, need help?” Mush Room suggested.
“Very!!” Vinyl said with a struggle as Mush Room quickly moved over to help her carry the table.

They got into the big home and set up the table within short moments.
“So, Mushie what’s this party for anyway?” Vinyl asked her light green friend.
“Didn’t you hear?, I got a scholarship to go to Canterlot magic school” He Answered.
“What!! No way, congrats man!” Vinyl said giving her friend a hug “that’s awesome news man, I wish I was going” she than said with a frown.
“Haha, don’t worry bro, you got an awesome Career ahead of you anyway, being a DJ ” Mush Room said to cheer her up
“speaking of DJ, why don’t you get your flank up there and play us some kickass tunes”.
“Yeah, alright dude” Vinyl said as she walked up to her DJ table and started playing some dubstep for her friends and others within the house.

Vinyl scratch made her way through past out ponies and drunk stallions, to go get a Beer.
Vinyl scratch was walking through the house just checking out the things it had.
UNTIL…THE …STORY...BEGAN.
‘…they say curiosity kills the cat, and oh boy were they right…’
Vinyl couldn’t help but walk back and peep through the doorway, her curiosity was basically dragging her from the neck towards the door. Vinyl then placed a hoof on the door knob, twisted it as silently as possible, and peeped through the crack of the open door to find not one but two mares, in the bed making out and rubbing up against each other using toys and etc. The thing was, those mares were Lyra Heartstrings and Bon Bon. Vinyl quickly closed the door when she heard a pony walk up the stairs to her.
“Hey Vinyl there you are ,the music stopped and we can’t get it playing again” he said as he saw her exaggerate near the door
“WHAT!! I wasn’t peeping there’s no one in there i-” she cut herself off when she just realized what she did.
“what’s going on behind that door?” he asked curiously with a giant smirk on his face.
“NOTHING!! There is noth-”she was cut off once again when the pony pushed her out off the way, and opened the door to find the two ponies making love in the bed.
“HOLY CRAP!!” he shouted almost load enough for the whole house to hear. Ironically the whole house did, they were surrounding the door way within seconds trying to get a look at the two in the bed. Ashamed of themselves, they sat there frightened and trying to hide their marehood from the flashing cameras and video recorders.
‘…I genuinely did feel like it was all my fault, but man was it funny!…’

“The next day they were the jokes of the town and high school ‘filly foolers of the year’ as put up on every locker. No one managed to understand that they were drunk and not thinking straight” Vinyl finished explaining “it was a hell of a laugh though!”.
“how could you find it funny?, they would have been bursting in tears” Octavia said with a sad feeling towards Lyra.
“Oh c’mon babe, it’s like a joke to us all. It’s way past us now” Vinyl said moving closer to Octavia.
“it just sounds so…. sad” Octavia replied.
“trust me, it may sound really sad. But it was funny to see” Vinyl said rubbing a hoof along Octavia’s arm “it was years ago so don’t let it get to your head” and gave a kiss to her cheek.
“hmmm, ok” Octavia said “I can imagine the funny side of it though” with a smirk on her face.
“I think we should get some rest, don’t you think?” Vinyl suggested.
“yes, very” Octavia said knowing her eyelids starting to become more heavy by the second.
“ok then, well see you in the morning ” Vinyl said before giving a quick kiss and moving onto the other side of the seat, laying down to rest. Octavia sat there looking at Vinyl for a while, seeing her nice and tucked up brings a smile to her face.
“in the morning” she said, before herself falling asleep.

Chapter 3 : Cider trip
Vinyl Scratch was sleeping peacefully on the little train seat, keeping her hooves tucked in close to her body in an attempt to stay nice and warm. She was having one of those dreams, those dreams where everything is perfect. So perfect you’d think nothing could ever ruin it, which is what she thought, until her worst night mare happened……waking up.
*TOOOOOOT TOOOOOOOOOT* the train shot out at all the sleeping ponies.
“AAAHHHHH!” *thump* Vinyl Scratch and Octavia, screamed as they jumped up from the warm seats they were laying on. Scaring other awoken ponies from there fright.
“What in Celestia was that?” Octavia said, with a dizzy look.
“UUghhhhhhh…..my head…” Vinyl said, getting off the floor “Stupid train!” she shouted rubbing a hoof on her head.
“All ponies for Appleloosa, this is your stop!” the train conductor announced through the speakers “We’ll be departing in two hours, so that gives you time to have a look around town until we depart to our final destination.” he suggested.
“Pffft” Vinyl spat out, while getting back to her comfortable spot “I can sleep this out…” she said with a breath, followed by a loud yawn.
“Vinyl!” Octavia said grabbing Vinyl’s face “We can go sightseeing while we wait for the next departure” she said with joy.
“What!? No I wanna sleep.” Vinyl said with a straight look, knocking Octavia’s hooves away.
“Vinyl, Darling please?! I want to see what this town has to offer!” Octavia begged.
“Hmmm let me think, no” Vinyl said.
“Pleeeease!” Octavia begged getting down close to Vinyl, with a puppy dog face.
“NO”
“Say yes!”
“NO”
“YES!”
“NO!”
“Yes”
“NO!!”
“NO!”
“YES!!!!”
“OK! Thank you darling, let’s go!” Octavia said quickly grabbing Vinyl’s hoof and pulling her out of the train.
“Ahhhhh, NOOOOOOO MY SEAT!!” Vinyl screamed as she left her comfortable, warm, soft seat.

The two were walking down through the town, checking out the stores, food, and others as they explored. Octavia blushed, getting a greeting from a fine stallion followed by a few others.
“Geez! Your blushing as red as a tomato” Vinyl chuckled.
“Oh! Am I, Hehe!” she said trying to hide her face “I’m just not used to so many stallions taking a liking in me, but I’m-”.
“Liking? Please, they’re just being friendly...” Vinyl butted in.
“Are they?” Octavia said before moving close to Vinyl “Or are you just, jealous?” she said with a smirk.
“UGH! Jealous...pfft, you know I get all the stallions in Ponyville, plus I like Mare’s anyway” Vinyl shot back.
“Jealous” Octavia said, just trying to wind Vinyl up. Which she hasn’t done in a while.
“Whatever!”
“Soo, jealous”
“AAGGHH! Watch, I can get a stallion, no sweat!” Vinyl shouted at Octavia, followed by her walking up to a working pony and saying “Sup dude! Hey can I ask you something?”
“Why of course mam” The pony answered.
“You think I’m hot?” Vinyl asked.
“Uhh? If yall sayin if I think yaw attractive, then. Why yes!” the stallion replied “as a matter a fact I find all mares attractive, everypony’s beautiful in their own way”
“So you think I’m attractive” Vinyl said with a small blush on her face, just to be sure she heard what she heard.
“Yaw look’n mighty fine t’day that’s one thing” The brown stallion answered tilting his hat.
“HA! See told you, Tavi!” Vinyl shouted across the street, whilst making a victory dance.
“FINE! Just get back here, you’re embarrassing me…” Octavia shouted back. Vinyl then trotted back to where Octavia stood, with a huge smile on her face.
“I don’t see why you had to make such a big scene about it” Octavia said with an annoyed voice.
“I was proving that I could get any guy I want, and succeeded” Vinyl replied, with a proud look.
“This really did get a bit out of hoo-” Octavia was cut off in the middle of her sentence by Vinyl’s hoof covering her mouth.
“Shhhhhhhh…..you hear that?” Vinyl spoke just over a whisper, looking around to find where this sound came from.
“I’m gonna……..before y….” a muffled voice spoke from around the corner of an empty salon.
“Ummm?......Vinyl darling, what is it I’m supposed to be hearing?…”Octavia asked with a puzzled look. Vinyl Scratch grabbed Octavia’s hoof and slowly pulled her around the corner with her.
“Ya’ll think I’m goi’n-mmmf- down this easy!” a familiar voice shouted, at what would presume to be another pony.
“Is that?...” Octavia said before her and Vinyl made it through the big crowd of ponies that gathered around.
“AppleJack?” both of them said simultaneously, looking at the pale orange pony in a challenging hoof wrestle. There awkward realization ended up drawing small attention to them from other ponies, who then quickly went back to gambling over who would win.
“If ya keep yappi’n like that, ahm pretty sure ya will” Apple Jack’s opponent said, trying to get her out with all his might.
“Why would AppleJack be here?” Vinyl wondered “In an arm wrestling contest thing, or...” she said with a furrowed brow, then looking at Octavia.
“Hmmm? Oh, I wouldn’t exactly know either, maybe something to do with her apple trading or things around that general area.”
“Pftch, general area” Vinyl chuckled, which was followed by a hoof to her shoulder from Octavia.
“Stop being so immature, Vinyl” Octavia said with a smirk.
“GO AppleJack! Woooooooo” a grey Pegasus shouted from behind the crowed.
“Ya’ll better get yer wallet ready!” AppleJack shouted.
“Ready fer what!” AJ’s opponent replied “Ah told ya I’m winni’n this- *thump*……” he was cut short by the sound of his hoof slamming against the rugged wooden table.
The crowed went silent for a short moment.
“Ready fer it to hand me mah winnin’s” Apple Jack said while stretching her forearm from the intense hoof wrestle that just finished.
*thump* AppleJack’s opponent tossed a bag on bits on the table. He then stormed of grumbling and muttering things under his breath as he walked away.
“Yaaaayy” “woooo” crowed members stopped the silence and congratulated AppleJack.
“Wow! That was pretty intense.” Vinyl said.
“Hey, AppleJack!” Vinyl Scratch shouted out “Over here!”
“Huh?” AppleJack murmured before turning around to find two Ponies waving for her attention. One with a multi-colored
“Vinyl Scratch, Octavia! What in tarnation are ya’ll doin here?” she said trotting up to Vinyl and giving her a brohoof, and politely giving Octavia a bow.
“We could ask you the same thing” Vinyl replied.
“Oh, me! Ahm jus here to sell some of our Apples from Sweet Apple acres” Apple Jack said proudly.
“It sure didn’t look like it…” Octavia said with a raised brow.
“Oh, that. That was jus some fun! Some pony handed me a challenge, and well…you know what happens when somepony gives me a challenge, especially a hoof wrestle”.
“Indeed we do.” Octavia replied.
“So what are yall doin here?” AppleJack asked.
“Oh yeah, were going to Tavi’s umm, cello opening was it...anyway the train went through here, and is stopping for a couple hours so, we- woops, I mean Octavia said that we should go looking around, and here we are.” Vinyl Scratch explained.
“Well ain’t that interestin.” AppleJack nodded “Hey! How bout Ya’ll come with me fer a drink?” she suggested “Drinks on me!”
“Oh, no no. We’re alright thank you, we wouldn’t want you spending your bits on us now,” she politely denied “but it’s a sweet offer”.
“Tavi, c-c’mon” Vinyl begged.
“No no, it’s alright. Ah didn’t win these bit’s fer nothin” AppleJack said “c’mon let’s go grab some cider!”
“well...ok then, but are you sure it’s alright with yo-”.
“AWWWW YEEEAAHH!! Let’s get our cider on!!!” Vinyl butted in.
“YEEEHAAWWW! That’s the word ah was lookin for!” AppleJack loudly agreed, before racing Vinyl to the bar.
“Girls!? Slow down please!” Octavia shouted hesitantly after them.

“Two jugs of, original Appleloosa cider please!!” AppleJack demanded loudly.
“Two?” Vinyl asked with a puzzled look “What about Tavi?” She said pointing her hoof at the mare walking through the bar door.
“Oh Buck! Darn fergot about her, Hehe!” AppleJack remembered with a blush “make that three jugs of cider please!”
“Oh, no I’m o thank you AppleJack” Octavia said sitting down “I don’t want you-”
“COME ON! Tavi, listen…you gotta lighten up a bit man, have a drink” Vinyl told her mare friend, holding out a cold, mouth-watering cider jug in front of her.
“But…I...” she muttered, still staring at the cold drink. Dripping tiny droplets of cider down the side of the jug, tempting her to grab it…..making her crave for the drink. Octavia now suddenly feeling thirsty “Celestia, damn it looks so good though…”, she thought to herself.
“Ummm, Octavia...hello?” Vinyl said, clopping her hoof on the table to try wake Octavia from her fascination.
“Huh, oh right. Yeah of course...why not?” Octavia shook back into place and took the jug from Vinyl’s hand.
“That’s more like it!!” AppleJack shouted in joy. Before putting her jug in the air for a toast.
*clink* was the sound of…..a mistake…

Moments pass as and the three girls have gone through multiple jugs of tasty Appleloosa cider. Every now and then they would be tripping up over bar stools or being clumsy in general.
“HEY! Hey, hey sh-should we play a-*hick*- a game?” Vinyl said holding on to both of her friend’s shoulders for balance.
“Woo wee! Yeah!” AppleJack said almost losing her balance from Vinyl’s added weight.
“V-Vinyl dear, can u get me another…another drink, please I-I’m I’m out of this one *hick*” Octavia stuttered from how drunk she and the others were.
“Yeah, err sure thing!” Vinyl said before making her way over to the bar. Stumbling like crazy towards the bar, almost falling down several times; it was like one of those games of QWOP, but for ponies. After stumbling into tables, and other objects her vision cleared a bit, her stance more stable. She made herself to the bar and raised a hoof for a drink.
“Two more*hick* uhhh? Apple Cider’s please!” she stumbled in words.
“Here ya go miss” the bartender said before handing her two jugs of cider “that’ll be two bits each”.
“Here you g-” she stopped herself in the middle of her sentence, after realizing they had ran out bits.
“SHIT!!” she yelled in worry.
“Vi-Vinyl dear w-what is it?” Octavia shouted across the room “What’s *hick* wrong?”
“We’re out of bit’s!!” Vinyl shouted back.
“Oh my!!” Octavia said with a hoof on her snout “N-no more, Cider…”
“Aww shucks, yall are *hick* acti’n c-crazy right now” AppleJack said to the other two “just cause we are outa *hick* cider doesn’t mean we can’t have a good time”
“HEY! Yeah” Vinyl said raising a hoof, but then slowly loosing balance “woah!” *thump*
“Ouch, Vinyl dear, are you alright” Octavia said, in between chuckles.
“Yeah, I’m fine” Vinyl mumbled while trying her best to stand up on all fours.
“C’mon sugar cube, get up” AppleJack said, lending a hoof to Vinyl “Let’s get outta here”.
“Yeah” Vinyl agreed, before getting up, and walking out side with Octavia and AppleJack.
“S-something is-isn’t right here?” Octavia said trying to clear her mind.
“Tavi, A-are you alright?” Vinyl asked, looking back at her drunken mare friend.
“I feel as if *hick* something is missing?” Octavia explained.
“Hmm…well you can try remember it back on the train, but for now on let’s go party” Vinyl said, not realizing exactly what she said.
“HOOOOOOH!!!” Octavia froze. Time slowed down right before her eyes when she realized what had just happened. They forgot about their train. Her eyes widened and stared straight at Vinyl, Vinyl’s face went from a small smile, to a gaping frown.
“THE TRAIN!!” Vinyl and Octavia simultaneously shouted.
“T-the what now?” AppleJack asked.
“THE TRAIN!! We missed our train” Octavia shouted more clearly to AppleJack.
“Woah woah woah, calm down sugar cube, ahm sure it will be fine” AppleJack said, trying to calm the two ponies down.
“No this is not good AppleJack; I have missed my Cello opening!!” Octavia hesitated.
“Vinyl?” AppleJack asked “ah think ya’ll should go have a talk with her, I’ll be waiting back here when ya get back kay.” AppleJack insisted for Vinyl to try calm Octavia down, knowing Vinyl is Octavia’s partner.
“Yeah, good idea.” Vinyl replied, and then set off to go find her Mare friend at the train station.

Vinyl trotted over to the train station to find Octavia, and find her she did. Octavia was at the end of the walkway of the train station sitting down on her flank sobbing in the now darken atmosphere, and glowing in the moon light. Vinyl knew that there were tears flowing from Octavia’s eyes, as she could see the reflection of light bounce off them from every drop. Vinyl started to feel dark inside, and cold; maybe it was the Cider, but she knew it was more than that, she felt sad for Octavia, and had to help. Vinyl trotted over to her Mare friend, feeling more nervous, and hearing her sobbing grow louder as she got closer.
“Tavi, hey….c’Mon don’t feel too bad” Vinyl said trying to make Octavia feel better “it was just one missed cello thing right?”
“Vinyl…” Octavia muttered “it was not, a thing...”she paused and took a deep, shivering breath “it was MY CAREER!!” she then shouted with her tear stained face at Vinyl, then fell down on her crying deeply. Delivering light and weak punches to Vinyl’s shoulder, she gave up and hung on her.
“Octavia, please…don’t be like this…” Vinyl said, now starting to build up some tear’s herself. Vinyl hadn’t seen Octavia this sad in a long time.
“Tavi, please *sniff*… just look at me” Vinyl asked, building up some more tears. Octavia then brought her head off of Vinyl’s now soaked shoulder, and then looked up at her.
“Trust me, please. It’s going to be alright……as long as we have each other, we can get through this” Vinyl said wiping a tear from her eye “I don’t want to be crying all night with you out here, you know I hate it when I cry” she finished with a light chuckle, and then returned to a small frown.
“O….ok” Octavia said, wiping her tears away now that they had stopped pouring from her eyes, she got up to Vinyl’s height, and looked her in the eyes “W-We’ll get through it…right?”
“Of course….c’Mon, it’s gonna get cold soon. Let’s find a place to stay” Vinyl said, wiping the last of the tears on her face, then got up and let Octavia put a hoof over her. They then both walked back to the bar to find AppleJack.
“Is she all right?” AppleJack lightly asked Vinyl.
“Yeah, she’s gonna be fine. Well, at least I hope” Vinyl answered, before looking back at Octavia, who was still feeling sad about what happened “I think she just need’s some R&R, you know”
*Eughh* Vinyl and AppleJack heard from behind them, it was Octavia puking outside of the bar.
“Yeah ah think R&R might be the best option” Apple Jack pointed out with a chuckle “anyway, there’s a hotel down the street, just tell em ‘Sexy Jack’ will pay it off” AppleJack finished.
“Sexy Jack?” Vinyl asked with a brow
“Let’s just say, Ah’ve done things” she replied with a wink.
Vinyl knew what she was meaning, and thought it was best not to ask question’s right now. For that she had to get Octavia to the Hotel with her, before it gets too dark, and Vinyl did exactly that, she went to the hotel, ordered the room, then got her and Octavia cleaned up and ready for bed.
Man what a crazy night.
