Two Anniversaries

One floor under the two musicians, one unicorn mare was galloping happily towards her apartment. Her mint hooves carried her up the flight of stairs, her mint and white coloured mane swishing from the wind from the run. When she reached her door, she hastily opened it with her key; experiencing some type of force blocking her from entering. She kept at it until she found that she had forgotten to turn the doorknob. Unfortunately she forgot to take her weight off the door; resulting her face-planting on the floor hard.

“What are you doing?” A voice came from within the apartment. The only thing that was heard was incomprehensible muffled words coming from the downed mare.

“Mmff, hrmfm, hm”

The pony inside sweat dropped at the mare as she didn’t even think to lift her head and talk.

“Um, Lyra can you please lift your head up? I can’t understand what you’re saying” Said mare lifted her mare and connected her golden eyes to cyan ones on a mare.

“I was trying to say is that I got the position of being the head of the string teachers at ‘Gifted Musicians’ school today!” Lyra was bouncing up and down in excitement.

“Oh Lyra, that is so wonderful!” The mare went up to Lyra and enveloped her in a hug.

“I know right? Anyway I’ve got another surprise for you Bon Bon!” Lyra grinned at the surprised look that her marefriend gave.

“Another one? What could possibly be better than this?”

“Well since the headmaster saw that I worked very hard for my position; he decided that I needed a vacation!”

“A vacation?”

“Yep! Now pack your bags since we’re going on a cruise!” Lyra’s grin engulfed her entire face when Bon Bons eyes started to widen, color drained from her face

“A-a cruise? Excuse me but I think the rooms getting smaller” Bon Bon passed out
