Arrival of a True God
There is a separate realm that exists outside of that of Earth and Equestria. A world filled with multiple Displaced with all kinds of abilities, skills, techniques and powers. But there were some who believed themselves to be above all, believed themselves to be gods and as punishment they were imprisoned to the deepest, darkest parts of the void.
Even though they were trapped, it didn’t mean that they couldn’t get out. There was one who saw himself as the world’s true god. The only one who could bring justice to all mortals, but the Elder Siblings saw him as a disgrace and banned him from joining them. In a fit of rage the one named Zamasu lashed out at them and a great battle shook the very world itself until finally they managed to imprison Zamasu.
But even they knew that he wouldn’t remain in there forever. ‘After years of being trapped in this accursed prison, I’ve finally managed to have gather the power needed to escape this hell hole. If I can’t rule the Displaced as it’s true god, then maybe another world that is more suitable for me to bring Justice.’ Deep within the black prison, a bright light broke him free, tearing a hole from the ground as the one who emerged from it floated in the air. Looking around to see the present landscape before him. A wasteland. This… was not good for him. It meant that he was still in the old world he was originally imprisoned in.
And that someone would know of his reemergence. “Zamasu! You will travel no further!”
He turned around, with a small smirk on his face on his face. “Ah Rayquaza… such a lovely surprise to see you after what you and the Elders did to me… How long has it been? Hundreds… thousand of years since you sent me into that darkened pit?”
“Not long enough it seems! I’ve already allowed one Displaced to leave this prison, but I will not allow you to leave!”
“Oh?” He asked, intrigued by this revelation. “And who would that be?”
“Someone who’s redeeming himself, but for you… You’ll never get that chance!” With all said and done, a sphere of energy formed within her mouth, before unleashing it at Zamasu, who managed to have dodged it with ease.
“Rayquaza… it you’ve allowed another Displaced leave this prison, but not me! Those who were in there before me had done much worse! They’ve killed thousands of our kind and you imprison me for killing one weak Displaced!” He growled as a powerful aura begin to form. “I will not stand here and let you be delivering false justice.”
Taking flight he charged up his holy wrath as Rayquaza flew towards him with great speed, but when she was close enough he unleashed the massive sphere upon the sky dragon, who caught it with her bare claws, trying to push back the attack. “Foolish Dragon! How dare you challenge a GOD!” His offhand was soon lit ablaze in a violet light as it formed a sharp edge, striking the dragon the second that his opponent destroyed the sphere. Slashing it across one of her closed eyes and leaving a painful scar in it’s place.
“Gah… Is that truly the best you can do?! You are no… GOD!” Using Dragon Claw she slashed at Zamasu’s chest, sending him hurling towards the ground. But when the smoke cleared, it just showed him standing there… and his smirk turned downright predatory.
“How dare you… How DARE YOU TOUCH A GOD SUCH AS I!!!” He roared, moving at blinding speeds as he was faster than the dragon could see as he struck her multiple times before releasing a powerful blast of energy at his opponent as the dragon was sent to the ground. Buying himself time to use the energy in between his hands as he opened a tear in space itself and swiftly dashed inside. By the time Rayquaza was back in the air, all she saw was him escaping as the tear closed behind him.
“DAMN YOU!!! Zamasu! You can run all you like, but I will find you!” She roared out in rage as her body began to glow as her form began to change. Her power had doubled as her spikes shifted and morphed around her back, having two twin red tendrils on top of her head and on her altered jawline.
She was about return back to her region, until she felt a very powerful energy source approach from behind. When she turned around she was faced with Lord Yasha, the leader of the Displaced. He of course wore his golden mask and had that melancholy look as he slowly approached the sky dragon. “Rayquaza, you are hurt! Who dares to harm a elder such as yourself?”
“The one who claimed to be a god, when he is clearly not fit for such a title,” She replied, licking the wounds on her arm, Lord Yasha noticed this and with a wave of his hands a beam of light surrounded the dragon, healing most of the wounds that were inflicted upon her.
“You speak of Zamasu, yet he was imprisoned by us long ago. Are you telling me that he escaped?” Yasha then questioned the sky dragon, who simply nodded in response with a loud growl.
“I blame Ozai and Elysium for this! We could have dealt with that Traitor with ease, but instead they’ve decided to release the one who caused the very first, second and third Wars within the Displaced! Because of it, no only one nut case is on the loose, but we have two now!” She shouted, before realizing that it was with Lord Yasha that she was speaking to.
“Calm yourself, sister. Anger gives motivation without purpose… Allow me to speak with them personally, but in the meantime I want you to deal with Zamasu… Apparently he hasn’t learned from his time in his imprisonment,” He said, before turning away from the sky dragon. “Do whatever means necessary-.”
“Yasha, like with Suicune, Zamasu took off into the void. How are we supposed to find him?” She asked him. “He could be anywhere at this rate!”
“Believe me dear sister… Even he can’t hide from us. Suicune’s location has already been found and we’re traveling there as we speak.” Yasha answered as a slight grin appeared across his face. “Like I previously said, allow for me to deal with them personally.”
“Brother I must ask… why are we traveling through so many dimensions just to get to Suicune?” She asked, curiously.
“It’s because Lord Suicune had managed to place a barrier of that world to keep us out… I don’t know how considering that I’m far more powerful than him, but because of this he managed to seal us out from this end, meaning we’ll have to go the long route,” The deity replied to her. “Ozai and Elysium are dealing with the matter personally… Using any methods to capture him. But unlike Suicune, Zamasu is not to be trifled with.”
“I know… I shall be careful when encountering him, I just need sometime to find him first, before ending his pitiful life. After all we’re gods here and now he’ll know what it’s like to battle a true god.” She said with a smirk, before taking off into the air. Despite her confidence, Yasha was concerned that the sky dragon was not listening to his words. Anger gives motivation without purpose… but Arrogance can lead to her downfall.
“Good luck sister… I just hope you’ll realize your weakness, before you fight Zamasu.”
In the city of Manehatten
It was just an average day for everypony as they went off their business like any other pony would, but that soon changed as the sky was soon clouded in Darkness, as a tear ripped across the sky as a beam of purple light shot down into the city, creating a massive explosion that consumed a small part of the large city. The only thing that could be seen was a smouldering crater and smoke
Ponies that weren’t caught within the explosion soon gathered around the large crater, asking questions and mourning over the lives that have been lost. “What in Celestia’s mane was that?” An earth pony asked as he slid down to see what had caused this much destruction.
“I don’t know, but whatever it is, I’m not sticking around to find out!” Another pony, a pegasus mare spoke up as she took off in the other direction in order to see if she can go find somepony that could help them.
The earth pony looked on to see a bipedal creature of some sort lay on the ground unconscious, he approached closer to it to see if it was alive. Sticking a hoof out to try to feel it’s pulse. But, just as he was about to touch it, his hoof was swatted away by the creature as it glared at him.
“Don’t… touch me…Mortal” He said, grabbing the pony by his neck and strangling him as a devious smirk appeared across Zamasu’s face. All that could be heard was a loud snap as he dropped the earth pony to the ground. Many of the surrounding ponies began to flee, but one that was nearby did not. Instead, the pegasus mare that saw what happened only had a question.
“W-why are you doing this!? He was only wanting to help you!” The pegasus fearfully asked, not wanting for whoever this being was to kill her next.
But in an instant, with a wave of his hand effortlessly and a wave of energy shot straight towards her, vaporizing her as her screams filled the air. Ponies all around began to scatter in a frenzy as he began rise into the air as a white aura formed around him. “So this is a new world… filled with more Mortals.”
He looked around in disgust as ponies fled in terror of his presence, if anything they should be worshipping him, begging for him to cleanse their very being. But instead they run in fear of him, frustrating him. Soon a white halo formed behind him as Zamasu tried to smile at them. Ponies all around looked up to the sky and saw how he illuminated the sky.
“Mortals of this world… You should not fear me… For I am Purity, I am Justice.” His aura began to grow as dark clouds began spread all across Equestria. Zamasu closed his eyes as he grinned, he felt his power was returning to him. But sensed… something else. Other bodies of power… some that might even rival his own. “Hehehe… even your protectors shall know that I am an Immortal God named… Zamasu!”
‘Before I destroy their city… I better take care of those who pose a threat to true Justice.’
The City of Canterlot
“Sunset? You felt that dark energy too didn’t you?” Celestia asked, turning to the solar colored alicorn that stood next to her.
“Yes but… what is it?” She asked nervously.
“I don’t know, but whatever it is… needs to be dealt with.” She answered, but in all her years she has never felt anything quite like this. The power that was emanating from the west was stronger than that of Tirek’s magic. But it also… felt strange. It did not feel like magic at all. Nor any kind of power that she was familiar with if she was honest with herself. “But I don’t want to send you alone Sunset and Luna is off dealing with the griffons while Cadence is in the crystal empire.”
“Celestia… I’ll see what I can do-” Before she could finish there was sounds of electricity began to form behind the two alicorns. All before something soon crashed into the back wall as smoke began to form from the landing. “What was that?”
“I… don’t know… but be cautious,” Celestia replied as she summoned a battle axe at her side. With a wave of her magic the smoke cleared, but what she found surprised both Sunset and her. A strange bipedal being, wearing a blue jacket and other attire, wielding other weapons that she had not seen the likes of before.
“Uh… G-god that hurts… Lumen, are you okay?”
“What are you Creature?” She asked, pointing her axe at whatever this thing was.
“W-woah there…” It replied, looking back at her nervously. “M-my name is Lance… I-i'm an adept, I was sent here for someone…” He was nervous for a moment, but it was another voice that soon spoke up and catch her attention. And that came from the pony next to her.
“Princess, this one doesn’t have the dark energy that we felt earlier… I don’t think he’s here to harm us.” When he looked over, the adept’s heart almost skipped a beat. It was Sunset… scratch that, another Sunset… but she was an Alicorn and not the unicorn that he remembered from back in his own world. It was still strange seeing the pony that gave him the chance to be part of the power ponies here, but he had seen stranger things and this was pretty low on the list.
“That is true… Forgive me for the hostility young one. I am Princess Celestia… Welcome to Equestria.” She told him, helping the Adept back on his feet. “I would want to continue our conversation, but we have a bit of a… situation at the moment.”
That caught Lance’s attention as he looked back at both alicorns with a raised eyebrow on his face. “A situation? Should I presume that based on what your… accomplice said earlier that is isn’t really a good situation?”
“Indeed… But I think it would be best for you to return home-” But before she could finish, Lance spoke up.
“Yeah… hate to break it to you, but I didn’t come here on my own. Someone sent me here to look for someone important, but it also means that I can’t go back until they’re ready to bring me back…” He said before noticing something different. A mass amount of energy that has the same equal strength as one of the princesses. Better yet, just as powerful as Suicune. “One last question… does this situation involved the massive energy source that’s just outside the castle?”
“This dark energy is spreading across the globe… It’s unlike anything I’ve ever felt before… If you really want too… then please go with my student and see what is causing all of this?” She replied.
“Uhh… Didn’t you hear what I said?” The Adept repeated himself, sighing for a moment when they looked at him with a confused stare. “What I mean is that whoever it is… he’s already here.”
Celestia looked confused for a moment, before she could reply the roof came crashing down, almost crushing the Adept and the others, before Celestia used her magic to create a barrier over them. Soon laughter began to fill the air as Lance looked up too see someone that looked familiar.
“So this is the energy that I’ve been sensing?” Lance thought to himself as he looked back at the figure he was seeing. But Zamasu looked mostly at Celestia and Sunset since their power was far greater than that of the Displaced he saw below.
“Hehehe… So these are Equestria’s strongest warriors.Well… If you value your lives… than Praise me… for I am purity… I am Justice… I am your one and only God… Zamasu!” He grinned, waiting for them to bow, before he purifies them with his powers of Justice.
“Uhh… who or what the hell are you suppose to be?” Lance questioned, looking at him in utter confusion.
“I can see that you must be a new Displaced… I understand if you don’t know me. I am Zamasu, the most powerful being in the universe and it’s one true god,” He replied, hoping that explanation was enough for the Adept to bow before him. But he still did not surprisingly.
“Yeah… hate to break it to you, but you’re wrong on two things… one, I’m not what you say as a new displaced… two, do you honestly think that justice is forcing others to bow before you? If so, then that is not the kind of justice I pursue.” The words in itself was a shock to Zamasu… but it also made him begin to lose his composure because of the anger flowing through him. This… displaced had the nerve to not only defy him, but insult him too? That could not go unpunished.
“Hehehe… Speaking to a God like that… will not go UNPUNISHED!!!” He said, unleashing a barrage of Ki blasts at the Displaced, only for a gold barrier to form around him before impact. He turned to see Celestia glaring at him in anger.
“I shall give you only one warning Zamasu! Leave this world or face Judgment!” She shouted, pointing her battle axe at him.
“Foolish Alicorn… can’t you see the stupidity in that statement?” He questioned as more of his energy began to flow around him. “I AM JUDGEMENT!!”
Soon both Celestia and Zamasu charged at each other as her battle axe clashed with the energy of his hand, creating a ripple of energy across the sky. They both appeared to be equally matched, but Zamasu continued unleash a barrage of punches on the alicorn, who did her best to block the blows, but was kicked in the stomach and sent crashing to the ground.
“Foolish Mortal… you defied a god and now look at you… helpless.” He menacingly taunted. “Justice shall be delivered by my hand…” A white halo was formed behind him once again, as his power began to build once again, unleashing a dark lightning bolt at the Princess that was scrambling to try and run. Zamasu himself believed that this victory of his would be a first step in purifying this universe.
Only to realize that someone else had intervened. “Hey dumbass… who said I was going to let you do whatever you pleased?” Standing in front of the princess right now was the same displaced that he had disregarded moments earlier when Celestia and him clashed. Only now though, he felt a release in power as a massive amount of energy began to form around the Adept. “I don’t care what you call yourself… but it doesn’t make what you are doing right…”
“What I do is Justice, you simpleton! I am a God and I will not be denied!” He roared. All the Adept did was sigh, before disappearing from his sight. As he turned around, Zamasu felt the Displaced grab his face as he threw him towards a mountain in the distance and proceeded to chase after him. It was there that Zamasu struggled to stand as the other displaced stared him down.
‘He wasn’t this powerful when that Mortal protected him!’ He thought to himself as he pulled himself from the side of the mountain. ‘Even though he gotten stronger from my attack… that isn’t even close to my full power… I just have to avoid using any sort of electricity.’
“Tell me something…” He heard the adept speak as the Azure Striker looked at him. “Do you feel pain? If you are truly a god, then you would be just brushing the dirt off your shoulder like it was nothing… and yet, you struggle to have yourself stand upright. You talk about being a godly being… but that’s all you do…”
“Hehehe… I shall admit you took me by surprise, Mortal… But I am a god and what you’ve done was just luck… It’s a mistake I won’t let happen again!” He shouted grabbing the Adept by the foot and began to crush it with just his energy. Lance growled in pain before being thrown straight towards the ground. Zamasu was about to strike him with his blade of energy formed around his hand, until something small flew into his face and started biting him.
“Back off, you bully!” He heard a small shout as he saw a strange butterfly like creature trying to chew on his eyebrows. It took him a while to try and get her off, but when it did fly away… it left him unaware of two things.
The fact that the foot of the adept he was fighting was no longer broken… and that he was charging up something big. “Kame… Hame… HA!!!” He shouted, firing off a huge blast of energy that was bigger than Zamasu himself. How he got this power on his own was one thing… but this seemed… stronger than his opponent.
The moment that the blast was near him though, he did see something else. The little being from before… was also glowing too. He was able to grab hold of the blast, but was begin pushed back slightly. Even though he was still trying regain his powers, it was still difficult for him to counter since he had barely freed himself from that accursed prison. He began to sweat after deflecting the blast. He needed time to regain his strength. “I’m surprised you were able to… conjure up energy in such a short amount of time… What is your name Displaced?”
“Why would I tell you? Are you an Elder Sibling?” Lance growled. “You are just as strong as that punkass Cobalion… are you trying to kill me because you want the traitor for yourself?”
“I have to say that I’m surprised you know about the Elder Siblings and I may not know who this Traitor is, but he isn’t my concern-.”
“BS…” The Adept interjected. “You just want to make Lord Suicune suffer just like those two other siblings Ozai and Elysium now, don’t you? With your talk of justice, I would think that you would want to deliver some of that justice to the one that the Elder Siblings call a traitor…… or are you just a puppet like The Warden Eternal?”
“Hehehehehe… So that’s who the Traitor is? Honestly I could care less for him… My score is with the head of the Elder Siblings Lord Yasha! He denied my right to rule over the Displaced, but now that I found this world… I can remake it in my own image… Once my full power returns I shall cleanse the world and reach the title of A DISPLACER!!!” He shouted raising his power even more as he laughed maniacally.
Despite Zamasu’s dialogue… Lance was paying attention to one other thing. “So are you going to keep monologuing or are you going to actually do something? Because like I said earlier… you just talk. Not act.”
“We’ll meet again… Once my full power has been reached… But in the meantime…” He soon looked down and saw the small town of Ponyville and grinned as he pointed two of his fingers in it’s direction, unleashing his Holy Wrath upon it. Destroying the town. Before disappearing with Instant Transmission.
“Get back here, you bastard-!” The Adept was going to chase after him, but something else instead called him back and pull him into a wormhole that opened behind him as it caused the Adept to disappear.
For the ponies that were watching though, Celestia watched as the homes of many ponies began to burn in front of her… and tears began to form in her eyes. She knew that many ponies and herself had to evacuate… and she felt powerless in preventing the deaths of many of her own subjects.
For Sunset though… as they were leaving, she found a small pin laying on the ground. One that resembled an insignia on the clothes of the… adept that she just met. They may had to leave… but in due time… Sunset knew that she would need to ask for his help again.
‘Please… come back… we need you… more now than ever.’ She then heard a response back which sounded like his voice… but deeper.
‘In due time he will return… once he is ready.’
