Prometheus

This story is a spin-off from the movie Prometheus and is not intended to violate copyrights from the movie.

                "This is the USCSS. Prometheus requesting departure, roger"

"USCSS. Prometheus you are cleared for launch, over"

Captain Sanders was a typical captain in the fleet. He had smooth brown hair, accompanied by his grey eyebrows and worn out cheeks. He was in his fifties, and was short and mild tempered. He was decomissined last week oniy to be given a second chance by the Weiland Yutani Corp to command the USCSS.Prometheus. The ship was enormous, the size of 4 football fields side by side vertically. It was a war/scientific spaceship. The vessel consisted of the crew's quarters, sick bay, lab, cryo-chambers, docking bay; and the CIC.  His crew consisted of twenty men, some of them who served under his command on other vessels. He also had two medics, ten scientists and an odd android named "Charlie". Charlie was an upgraded model of the 3000 Series. Charlie had blonde hair, combed to the side accompanied by this almost friendly grin.

"Captain Sanders approximately how long will the voyage take?" Charlie asked politely.

"Well I would say a decade before we find this alien of yours," replied Captain Sanders.

The ship began to move slowly away from the dry docks of the orbital platform. After leaving Earth's magnetic field, Captain Sanders ordered to begin the FTL sequence to Epsilon Iordani.

The ship jerked to the side as is was sucked into a wormhole, which mystically appeared as the ship began its transition to faster-than-light speed.

"Crew members brace yourselves!" Captain Sanders yelled into the com.

The ship shook violently as it was pulled into a vast vortex between space and time. Soon it reached the far end and flew out of the wormhole only to appear in what seemed as an alternate universe. The vortex dissipated, leaving the ship and the crew of the Prometheus astonished on what they had just experienced.

"captain, report"

"The ship suffered minor damage to the FTL engines." Galvus said as he checked the screens of the computer. "And we seem to have lost direct contact with Weiland, sir"

"Ok I want the ship on Condition 1 actual, and fix the FTL engines"

"Roger sir"

The crew of the Prometheus had become a chaos of confusion and movement as everyone played their part on repairing the ship.

"Commander for some weird reason we were transported to a nearby star system which appears to have an Earth-like planet."

"Hmm.. incredible how the wormhole transported us to a directly to this location.." "Never the less I want to check the planet out, make a course for the planet ensign"

"Roger that sir"

As the ship approached the planet, they didn't realize they would discover Equestria. A world inhabited by ponies who would be surprised by the visit they had in store.......

"Hey everypony! ready for the annual summer sun celebration!" screamed Pinke Pie happily.

"Pinkie we all know that...... were on our way there remember?" replied Twilight Sparkle. "Anyways Spike did you remember to bring the refreshments?"

"Yes I did, Rainbow Dash is doing me the favor of airlifting them to the sugar cube corner," he replied.

"Good"

the trio continued walking to the city square where the celebration would take place. After a brief get together with the rest of the group the sun began its slow accention when something weird appeared in the sky headed towards them. It was metallic, and had some sort of engine propelling it towards the ground.

"What is that thing?"

"Who knows... it might be a meteor of some kind"

The object gained in size as it approached even faster now.Ten seconds after it and flew above the clouds of the city and landed on a small field next to Sweet Apple Acres.

"Cmon everypony lets see what is is!!" Rainbow Dash said as she flew to the site.

The entire town followed her lead and soon were standing in front of the machine. It was very big, half the size of the town and was made entirely of metal and flashing lights. A pony went closer to it only to back away as a hatch began to lower and open. The site was filled with steam and the smell of burnt oil. Out came exotic creatures with two legs. One of them began to make cracking noises with some sort of headset. Applejack came foward and said...

"Um.... hi i'm Applejack and welcome to my farm...."

One of the creatures stood in awe, and replied with a very deep accent..

"Hello we are from the planet Earth and we are glad to meet you, sorry for the landing we were in desperate need of repairs."

The ponies looked at each other and all exclaimed loudly....

"HI AND WELCOME TO PONYVILLE!!"
