Into shadows of the unknown
Walking through the forest I remembered hearing from my friends is that a solar eclipse was supposedly going to happen tomorrow around 1 pm. Well I should find out if this is true or not. When I got back to my parents house from my walk I Grabbed a snack as I headed down to my room. As I came into my room i started up some music on my rock out 2 solar. Finding my iPad mini on its charging dock since i had mercilessly killed it last night I found it at 51% charged, unlocking it I began looking through the boxes, finding chrome I tapping on its icon I began my search by typing “solar eclipse.” I found a couple pages that showed past solar eclipses, a couple predictions, and some rumor about disappearances at the last solar eclipse. Puzzled I searched ‘events tomorrow’ this time it showed a news page titled ‘solar eclipse of 2017’ grumbling to myself at how stupid Google sometimes can be I opened the page Skimming through the page. Finding the bit of information I had been looking through the whole page for I began reading to myself.
“According to astrologers there will be a solar eclipse on the 17th of November. Something to look forward to at least.” Sighing to myself I got off my bed I noticed the time was 9:43 pm. Walking over to the bathroom my cat Titus being the overly playful pounced on my ankle biting down. Feeling his teeth as he bit me I felt my nerves jump in surprise to his attack. “Jeez Titus, go attack Jewel or one of the dogs.” I playfully scolded him. Instead he just starts rubbing up against my leg as if apologizing for his attack, suddenly bounding away I heard as I was getting my toothbrush I heard a faint hiss of my other cat Jewel.
Heh that silly cat goes from mean to sweet back to being rough again.
Rinsing my mouth I placed my toothbrush back in its rightful place. Stepping back into my room I looked to see Jewel chasing Titus out of my room. Glancing at my fireplace I could see a couple orange-red coals about six inches in size, I did only thing I could really do, put more wood in the fire! Obviously. As I reached for the handle I grabbed a little too high retracting my hand cursing under my breath I shook my hand behind my back (since I burned it). Grabbing the correct part of the handle I shut the door. Turning the heat fan down to about half then I pushed the damper in all the way to let as little oxygen in as possible. Turning back towards my bed I pulled down the string of my light causing the room to become dark except for a nightlight which provided enough light for me to safely to safely jump into my bed. As the night began to claim my consciousness I began reflecting on my rather strange day.
-----Earlier today-----
I had just came out of the main building of some gaming convention my friend had brought me to, after we exited I told them they should go save a seat in the gaming room (where we could fight other people) so I split off from my friends to explore the building a little. Turning right around a corner I found a stand with two swords, walking closer to the stand hopeful that I would be able to purchase them. Nearing the stand I saw the colors of the blades and the gems that were on the end of the swords. One of the swords had a black blade with its hilt curving towards the blade, black leather wrapping left around the handle at the end of the handle held a pointed clear black gem with five edges, one of the longer edges being longer than two of the three shorter edges. Coming fully up to the stand I was able to get a good look at the other sword since it was partially hidden by the black sword and the man running the stand. Now that I could see the second sword I noticed that the second sword had a white blade 3ft. Long same as the black sword its hilt curving towards the handle, white leather wrapping right around the handle, the clear white gem on the end of handle having six edges.
“Would you like to buy those two swords sir?” The man asked with an eyebrow raised.
Looking directly at him I noticed he gave off a weird vibe and he was smiling at me. Smiling back I responded. “Depend on the quality and the price.”
“They are each $300 normally.” Noticing my face become a little downcast he added. “But since I already made enough to cover three pairs of those swords, I will sell them to you for $150 each $300 total.” A little stunned at his offer I quickly agreed to his price, handing him the money he put it inside his pocket then pulled out from under the counter two sheaths both made of obsidian. I could make out that one of the sheaths had the letters DL and the other had AR asking him what they meant he said.
“The black blade is called Demons Light and the white blade is called Angels Rapture. Any other questions?” He responded.
“No, thank you and have a good night.” I said turning and walked towards the gaming room
“Watch out for them on the eclipse!” He shouted after me

Sighing I shut my eyes to dream.
{Dream Realm}
Everything surrounding my was pitch black darkness… I soon took notice that my swords hung at my sides, grabbing DL with my left hand and AR with my right. Simultaneously pulling them out I could feel Demons Light giving off almost gentle waves of cold energy and Angels Rapture pulsing heat.
Well I could see if they work well, in a dream at least.
Curiously I summoned two golems of rock with my mind they were a couple feet taller than me grinning I commanded them to attack me. Without hesitation they charged at me giving little time to react to their moves, ducking the first punch I caught the other golem coming right under the other golems attack dodging to the left I swiped up with my left sword causing a small burst of energy from the golems severed arm. Catching me off balance the first golem backhanded me across the plain earning myself some pain.
Welp the best thing that did was get a little distance. I thought with a pained expression on my face. “Time for some fun.” I said calling down lightning upon the uninjured golem making it implode shooting out pure energy injuring the other golem more. Rushing the golem I easily cut it to Pieces before exploding with energy looking amongst my little ‘battlefield’ I saw the golem's arm that I had chopped off I could see it giving off a little dark energy shrugging I said to myself. “Eh my dream my weirdness.” Continuing the process about five times each practice I was getting better and better with swords play. Ending that I decided to start practicing with more mystical things like magic. Starting with more offensive spells I defeated the golems with ease, switching to defensive spells I made them slightly more offensive like effectively changing a flat shield into a spiked one. And a couple other things I could think of. Feeling the dream ending. “I wish there was someway to make the night last longer.” I said sighing.
{Real World}
Opening my eyes I winced from the pain in my body not all over, but now my sides were mostly really sore. Sitting up in my bed I could see my two swords to my left on my desk where I had left them yesterday. Confused because I couldn't remember if I did anything strenuous, remembering my dream only increased my confusion further. Brushing it off I jumped out of bed to stop myself from falling asleep again.
“Hey Ray!” My mom shouted from upstairs
“What is it?”
“You need to take out the trash today.”
Sighing I said. “Alright I'll take care of it when I am dressed.”
Walking into my closet I picked out a simple white shirt, black cargo shorts with a strong black belt to carry my swords, and a dark gray sweatshirt. Walking out big my closet with my clothes on I glanced at the clock. I should arrive at capitol lake in about an hour for the solar eclipse, since I slept in so much and it should still leave me with enough time to get some snacks! Grabbing my swords I strapped them to my sides Angels Rapture hanging on my left side and Demons Light hanging on my left, also grabbing my solar digital watch I then headed upstairs to take care of my chore. Walking upstairs caused a little pain in my sides, not that I payed much attention to much of any pain in my body. Lifting the trash bag out of the trashcan I carried it outside to the bigger trash ‘bin’. Catching a whiff of the trash bins smell I quickly shut it gagging slightly. What did we put in that?! I thought as I reentered my parents house.
“I should leave a note of where I am going.” I said whispering to myself Turning to the dry erase board I wrote.
I'm going to Capitol lake to watch the solar eclipse today

Now that I have taken care of that I can now go to the solar eclipse. I thought smiling to myself. Stepping into my 1975 wagoner I set my swords in the passenger's seat. Starting the cat I plugged my MP3 into my Rock out speaker resuming on the song Epidemic, smiling I drove out of my neighborhood.

Looking at the time on my watch I did some quick math and determined I could probably use about ten minutes for purchasing my snacks. As I neared Capitol lake I spotted a bakery shop on the corner called ‘Izzie's’ parking in front of the store I climbed out of my car avoiding oncoming traffic I locked my car. Opening the door of the shop I heard a little bell jingle above me as I stepped in alerting the employee, taking a deep breath of the sweet smell of all the sugar baked expertly into their large various baked goods.
“Hi, I'm chase anything that you want?”asked chase from behind the counter.
“I would like two emerald cupcakes, one apple fritter, and how about your favorite for me.” I said Looking through the wide selection of baked food before me. Sliding the glass door open he pulled out the three requested items then he shut the door and opened another to the left and pulled out what looked to be a brownie that looked to have a dark chocolate coating on one half and the other side coated with white chocolate. Then he put the four sugary baked goods into a box sealing it with a simple sticker representing the shop, while he was doing that I had pulled out $20.
Handing him the money I said. “Have a good day! And keep the change.” Grabbing my box I exited the store. Climbing in my car I noticed as I set my box next to my swords that the box had the words ‘enjoy and stay safe’ all I could think was. Oh the irony of it all, like I'm going to die today. Looking at my clock I felt my anxiety rise slightly because there was only five minutes left till the solar eclipse would begin. Starting my car I drove onto the road and towards the lake’s park seeing the moon halfway across the sky I quickly parked, strapping my swords back on my sides where I had them before, grabbing my skullcandy headphones I hung them around my neck, putting my MP3 in my pocket with my speaker in my larger pocket, and my solar charger cause I just love killing my devices. Waking up the hill with my box I sat down on the bench without any back support. Setting my box to my left I broke open the seal, lifting the lid I could feel my mouth begin to water just looking at the sweet treats I would soon eat. Picking up one of the cupcakes the instant I took a bite my mouth was flooded with the sweet flavor of green tea and obviously sugar or at least a sweet taste of some sort. Finishing the rest of the cupcake I could see the moon 4/6ths of the way to covering up the sun and starting the solar eclipse. Slipping my headphones on I plugged my MP3 in and selected the song Heartbeat. Moving to the next piece of food in my little box I selected the apple fritter as I began to eat I felt the hilt of AR digging into my side. Groaning I stood up to move my swords to a horizontal position instead of vertical sitting back down I finished off the rest of the fritter. Grabbing the two colored brownie I took a bite confirming what I had suspected in the shop they did seem to taste like milk and dark chocolate, but instead of the dark chocolate being slightly bitter it was more sweet and creamy, while the milk chocolate was almost spicy and overwhelming to my mouth. Well now I know why he likes this so much, it's very good.
Glancing back up at the sky to check on the moon's progress in the sky from my point of view it was roughly 5/6ths of the way from the solar eclipse coming. Finishing the rest of the unique brownie I was eating I could see two figures of black and white fading in and out. I don't think he put anything else in my food then the required ingredients. I thought to myself. I don't think I tasted anything out of the ordinary.
Shrugging I began eating the last cupcake. Must be reflections in the water. Looking back up to the sky I could see the moon begin to overlap the sun. The eclipse i probably the cause of the reflections. Underneath my eyesight I saw a small flash of light. Curious about the cause of the light I looked to see the two figures again, but this time I could see them fighting each other and not fading now that they weren't fading in and out I could make out the dark robed one to be taunting the other figure which I could describe as an angel with a sword of pure fire and light. His armor made of different types of gems. My mind became completely blank as the solar eclipse took place, watching the Demon (assuming that's what he is) forming a sword of shadows that gave off waves of dark energy I began making my way down the path of the hill slowly so that I wouldn't be noticed by either of the beings before me. Quite the opposite of what I wanted, i froze half way down the hill when the demon said.
“This one matches the description of what my employer gave me. Perfectly.” He looked at me filling me with fear of the unknown his eyes were a deep Crimson with slits instead of pupals. “What do you think? Hmm?” The demon said taunting the Angel
“I think that your resistance will end today.” The Angel retorted
“Well then you must stop me. Absolutely must. Hehe you won't stop me this time dear brother, because he will go there.” The demon said taunting the Angel. Turning back to me he locked with my eyes again he pointed his finger at me my legs became chilled looking down I saw that my legs were completely encased in ice. “Wouldn't want you running away now.” He commented when i looked down at the ice.
The instant he finished sentence he began chanting something in another language. When the demon began the Angel moved to intercept but was repulsed by the demon's shadow. After recovering the Angel quickly changed tactics and began chanting in the same language but slightly different in variation. I the middle of the Angels chanting the demon turned into pure shadows and rushed towards me his presence filling my mind my vision becoming black, then another presence entered my mind.
“What are you doing? Get out!” I told them in my mind. Suddenly memories of both entities flooded my mind causing me to physically grip my head crying out in my mind. After the pain subsided I began searching through their memories finding out the demons name was Dark Memory and the Angels name was Phantom Star.
“Hey guys what happened, my head hurts and I would *really* like an answer as to what happened.” I spoke in my head.
“Dark Memory destroyed his condemned soul in you causing his power to create a pool of dark magic inside of you.” Phantom Star whispered in my mind. “While he may be able to partially succeed in his his plan…” Sighing his voice filled with sadness. “Now I can only stab and wound his plan by destroying my own soul and leaving you to the world with my Lucius magic with you creating another pool of magic.”
“What could your destruction possibly help with?! That will *not** help me at all.” I shouted angrily at him. “How can that fix what Dark did?...” I said quieting my voice a lone tear running down my face.*
“I was supposed to be your guardian angel…” Sadness creeping back into his voice. “And this is the only way I can think of right now. I am sorry this had to happen, even if my soul is destroyed my memories will still be with you creating a remnant. Which won't be me but in the same sense it will be. Goodbye Raistlin.”
As he finished I could feel his presence fade and a new light appeared next to the dark magic pool just as Phantom had said.
Suddenly feeling the ground no longer under my feet I felt my stomach rise I shouted in confusion and terror. “OH SHHHII” Just before I slammed into the ground very hard. Groaning from the pain of my drop I tried to push myself up but dropping down from the pain, trying again I felt a little rush of happiness as I succeeded I found myself in a crater that the impact of my body had created. Feeling feathers brushing against my arm I turned to see a white feathered wing on my right and a black feathered wing on my left. Did I land on something? Grabbing the wing in my right I was surprised to find the I could feel my touch. Facepalming I realized. The wings are connected to me.
Feeling quite dumb I stood up to find I was in a forest wherever this forest, turning my attention back to my wings I would say the longest feather was about 3ft. Long more than two inches wide on some part of the feather. I also found my two swords at my sides, and my headphones now hung at my neck from the fall.
“I should probably find a shelter somewhere among the trees.” I mumbled to myself. Moving slowly due to what the fall had done to my body. Looking up in the sky I saw that the solar eclipse had just ended.Maybe they just teleported me into a forest near my house. Well how wrong I was.

How long I had been walking? about an hour according to my watch. I think the best thing that has come out of this trek was my body feeling better then when I first crashed. Seeing a cave finally my body flooded with relief. Sitting down on the stone floor I rested by back on the wall and I decided to fall asleep till next sunup. Closing my eyes, I discovered a tiny secret of this world. This planet was filled with magic.
{Dream Realm}
Finding myself surrounded by darkness I summoned the memories of Phantom and Dark I began looking to see which one of them had a better way to memorize spells. Phantom Star proving through his memories he had learned the best way to memorize spells. Using Phantom’s method I began to memorize spells that would be necessary for defending myself in a battle one of the spells I found among their memories was the self-soul-destruction. Sighing to myself I began picking out effective defensive and offensive spells listing the spells out in my mind I memorized: dark tendrils, sharp shield, Rapture(a blackout spell), flash, shadow swords, lux Teleportation, shadow form, healing light, shadow shift, light bend(camouflage spell), illusion, reality illusion, rain of fire, possession, shadow possession, speed of light, light pierce, and two mind skills I had absorbed from Phantom and Dark. Dark’s mind skill was an attack and Phantom’s is a mind defense skill. Looking through the spells again I thought. The magical attack comes from Dark memory and then Phantom Star would've had to defend people from other demons attacks.
Reaching out with my magic I could sense the dream ending in about ten minutes. I decided to have an adventure amongst others dreams, my body soon reformed into a place I'll just call ‘the dream hub’ until I can find a better name for it. I found many rows of doors the closest one held a plate that was labeled ‘Luna’ Gently looking through some of her memories finding that Luna had a sister but I could find a specific name, and that Luna had once become a nightmare. Shifting myself away from her memories I entered the dreamscape of Luna I began shifting and changing her dreamscape into the night of her banishment with her sister a shadow of light. Looking around Luna tried calling out to her nightmare receiving no response because Luna’s mind did not create it.
“This is a nice nightm…” Suddenly realizing I had spoken out loud I quickly silenced myself hoping she had not heard me.
“Who dares to invade my realm?” Luna turned in surprise.
“Oh that's not very kind of you. I'm just visiting.” I said solidifying my form and jokingly accused. “Didn't anyone teach you to be kind to your guests?”
“I was never taught to be nice to invaders.” Luna retorted. “And I suggest you leave before I kick you out.”
“Well then, in that case you will have to make me leave.” I said taunting her. “Cause I always am up for a good fight.”
Laughing from the excitement I was withholding, I drew my swords and moved into a battle ready position.
“I AM THE PRINCESS OF THE NIGHT.” Luna shouted. Quieting her voice she said. “I almost feel bad about you challenging me.”
“Well I don't tend to randomly challenging other beings before researching them a bit.” I said with amusement in my voice. “Plus I always love to test my limits and what better time than now?”
Just as I was about to began my attack I sensed the dream beginning to end Luna said. “It seems you will have to wait and return to your body mysterious one.”
“Oh I forgot to tell you my name.” I replied laughing. “My name is Raistlin dear dream walker. And I shall see you later.” Sheathing my swords I waved goodbye as my consciousness returned back to into my body.
{Real World}
Feeling the warmth of the sun warm my body is stretched my legs and arms out releasing the tension from my long sleep.
“I should go get something to eat, then I can find out where I am.” I whispered to myself feeling the pain of hunger. “And after that I might be able to have some fun.”
Smirking I stood up and mid stride I felt myself trip on the cave floor I an attempt to stop my fall instead of using my hand I used my wings but unfortunately I had never used my wings before so I failed miserably managing to impale myself on a protruding rock. Why do things like this happen? Why would I try to use my wings before I had practiced?! ...why is this rock perfect for impaling me…
Coughing up blood I bit down on my tongue to keep from crying out from the pain coursing through my body. Probably not going to survive, I wish I could've eaten something. I could still feel the rock that had impaled my body as the pain slowly began to fade and then disappeared completely though I couldn't feel any part of body.
“Why does fate have to be so creative with my torture.” I said inspecting my new ‘body’ I could see that my form was a swirling sphere of black and white colored magic and in between where the two types of magic collided there was a third color of magic silver. Looking back to the rock where I ‘died’ I could see the rock covered in blood shrugging if I even could in this form I floated out of the cave. Well at least I can’t die permanently. I think. I better not die permanently, I would hate that. What is that? I thought looking at a creature that looked to be fused with about ten different animals laying on a lawn chair eating cotton candy. Floating nearer of the creature I used shadow grip to surround and trap the creature.
“Oh? What is this? Dark magic?” Turning his head he looked at me saying. “Who are you? Would you care to free me from these shadows?”
“I am called Raistlin, what are you anyway?” I responded. “And no I won't free you. I want to see if you can escape.”
“Something to tell Tia, I am Discord the only draconequus left.” Discord said looking at his restraints he snapped his fingers he teleported next to me making the lawn chair disappear. “Trying to restrain a being of chaos is futile. Now can you tell me why you are here?”
“No.”
“No? Ok well I was only told to ask whatever I found here in the forest that question.” Discord said outstretching his paw. “See you later Raistlin.”
Using a tendril made of light from my form shifting the end of the tendril into a hand I shook his hand. Seeing electricity start coming down my tendril I panicked detonating it the relatively small blast pushing me back a couple feet I could see Discord’s hand hand had been decimated leaving his forearm bleeding and burned.
“Sorry about that” I said regret creeping in my voice. “Would you like me—”
“NO!” Discord shouted clutching his forearm. I'll just help him anyway if he doesn't struggle. I thought as I cast the spell ‘healing light’ as I released it pure light began to form into the shape of his hand.
“The nerves should reconnect in a couple seconds so there will be a slight pinch.” I said trying to calm his a little. “This is the best healing spell I know so you should be fine once the light fades.”
“Ok thanks.” Discord mumbled in reply inspecting the healing spell. “Where did you get the lux magic? Did you steal it?”
“No I didn't steal the magic, I have a lux source within me as well as two other sources of magic, the one is dark magic and the other is my natural magic.”
“See you later Raistlin.” Discord said before teleporting away. I wonder who Tia could be? Could be a ruler of the land. Oh finally a body my magic created. Without a second thought my mind was sucked into the body.Something seems wrong here… Opening my eyes I had to squint because my eyes didn't adjust right away, as soon as I had adjusted to the light I could see the ground was a lot closer then I remembered. How cruel I'm shot now. Might as well see what I look like. I thought as I used my magic to summon a mirror. Inspecting my new form I looked to be a much smaller version of Luna except my coat was grey my wings were the same color as before, but my eyes were reptilian and their color was silver. Licking my lips I felt hunger pains again but in the middle of that I stopped. My teeth are sharp… opening my mouth I saw what my tongue had felt. That's cool now my teeth are kinda like a sharks but not as wide. Four of my teeth are longer than the others. How funny. My magic made my four sharp canine teeth even more sharp and long. Very funny. But could prove useful in the future. Still thinking about my new body I continued wandering to the east exercising my wings as I wandered to the east.
“I can only wonder what I'll find next in this new world.” I said happily. “Maybe I won't find anything till I die again!” Just to prove me wrong I tripped again hurting my face as it slammed into wood in the ground. Standing back up I rubbed my nose with my hoof looking on what I tripped on I jumped in joy! I had found a train track! And train tracks lead to towns and they have trains on them (obviously). Putting my ear to the track I could hear faint vibrations keeping my ear on the track for a minute I could tell the train was coming closer with each minute. The train should be here in five to ten minutes. Now I have to find something to do. Great. Oh wait I can just practice my magic!
Looking around I could see the wall of pine trees behind me and in front of me on each side of the train track turning my head to the ground I could see a small flash of light on the ground. Trotting a couple feet I came up to where I saw the light to see a diamond with no color at all. Using a levitation spell I sloppily surrounded the gemstone lifting it along with the grass that grown around it. Rolling my eyes I thought. Well the first time was a success I think. But I should refine my skills with basic levitation. Still holding the gem with levitation I split my hold two ways one part holding the gem the other part held the grass slowly separating my holds on the grass and the gem. Smiling at my success I brought the gem up to my face for closer inspection. Eight total edges all around. I wonder what the limits on shape shifting is. Bringing the gem up to head I imagined the gem fusing in my head so that the gem slightly encased my horn. Feeling a sharp pain I realized the shapeshift was working doing my best not to move I could feel the pain slowly increase from my head then I felt the pain make a wave over my body. Summoning a small mirror I could see the spell had worked I now had the gem infused in my head partially encasing my grey black and white horn. Strange. How did I not notice the colors of my horn? Must have been because I was so interested in my teeth and eyes. From what I can remember unicorns don't tend to have two color horns. Great. Another thing my magic did. At least all the things my ‘rebirth’ did was cool so far.
Looking over my back I ruffled my wings suddenly having another idea. I can make my wings into imprints or tattoos I guess whatever you'd call it when you shapeshift you wings into a pattern of fur on your back the looks like wings but aren't really wings. Picturing my wings turning into imprints in my fur I could feel a slight pinch again but this time without the whole ‘wave of pain’ thing. Looking upon my back the imprints looked pretty realistic if you were looking from the side and for some reason I tried to lick my ‘wing’ only licking fur. Pretty happy with my skills in shape shifting I decided to move on to practicing my realistic illusion spell.
“I should think my teeth and eyes aren't normal, as well as the gem I have now permanently in my head.” I said thinking out loud hearing the train in the distance I quickly stopped my self dialogue I pictured all my teeth flat, my eyes same color but now having pupils, and the top of my head before I stuck the gem permanently in my head. Releasing the image I felt a tiny drain on my magic pick the mirror back up with my magic I could see myself the same way frowning I opened my mouth to test my teeth seeing my tongue go right through one of my longer teeth I thought. Oh well that kinda makes sense I guess I'll have to stay away from mirrors then. At least I didn't fail this time. I'll just leave my horn the way it is. Hearing the train fly by made me jump in surprise. Looking up I saw the passengers trying to point to something behind me. Snap! Twisting around I was faced with three Timberwolves all of them three times my size. Charging my horn with pure magical power I unleashed the power I had stored within it the blast completely consumed the three Timberwolves a little dizzy from releasing all that magical energy I almost didn't notice that part of the forest had been blasted along with the ground being charred.
“I need to get on the train…” I weakly said. Using the last bit of my power I teleported into the train hitting something hard. Realizing my mistake I thought.Cruel fate… I forgot to factor the trains speed...

Around me I could her voices of concern, how long I have been in this room I do not know. Opening my eyes I had quickly open and shut them again to become adapted to the bright lights that were in the room I am currently in. Pretending to still be asleep I took a quick look around the room without moving my head. Good, none of them has noticed I am awake yet. Finally something goes my way, now I just have to figure a way out of this place. Seems to be a hospital, I think. Taking a closer look at the um ponies in the room I recognized one to be Luna, from earlier in the dreamworld. Hopefully she cannot recognize who I am, let's see there is one unicorn Doctor, and two other Alicorns I feel familiar with, but I can't recognize who they are. Taking a small breath I focused on recognizable features on the other two Alicorns in the room. One is tall, rainbow colored mane very wavy, white coat sun mark, and has a gold crown. The smaller one has a pink coat, her mane is three different colors light gold, dark pink, and purple. All three had crowns, some kind of chest plate, and ‘hoof-shoes’? Eh best name I have for them until I find out later. I have yet to learn the names of the other two Alicorns.
“We could take a blood sample to try and identify his parents.” The unicorn Doctor suggested to the tall white Alicorn. “Since he is still unconscious.”
Inwardly smiling, because my fake out was working, suddenly realizing he had said ‘blood’ which meant needles my nerves spiked upon hearing it. Trying to calm my nerves I waited to see what the white Alicorn would say.
“I believe you are right Doctor Goodwill.” The Alicorn replied to my horror. “Given his features I am quite interested to know who his parents are.”
“I, too am interested in the results sister.” Luna said turning to me she noticed I was awake, surprised she said. “Sister, I do believe he is awake now.”
Jumping up from the bed I shot a beam of energy through the door and floor, apparently. “NOPE! NO NEEDLES FOR ME! NOT TODAY!” I shouted quickly jumping through my escape route, I noticed they were too stunned to respond to what I just did. Landing hard on the ground, my hoofs made small dents in the floor, quickly scanning my surroundings I could see ponies sitting on chairs, within seconds I had found the exit. Rushing for the exit I was very confused when I was picked up by a lavender aura, quickly turned in the opposite direction I was confronted with the lavender Alicorn who had captured me.
“Now don't you run away before I get to meet you.” She accused playfully.
“Well now you met me, bye!” Still a bit worried about the needles, I began surrounding myself in darkness, getting mixed reactions from the ponies surrounding me, mostly confusion from the Alicorn mare before me. Hearing the ding of the elevator I quickly released my teleport spell. Plopping back on the ground I felt nauseous and tired, and in a new area, I sat there for a couple minutes before the nauseousness had faded completely. Examining my surroundings I found myself to be in the middle of a beautiful garden, I quickly found more than a dozen flowers I couldn't recognize, but I could however see a couple fruit trees I could identify there was peach, Apple, pear, and cherry. Wandering about the garden I found a patch of flowers where there were maybe five different kinds of flowers, but between even the same kind they were differences I could pick out, whether it be a small color change or the flower just being more vibrant in color. Picking out a patch of grass among the flowers beautiful smell, I felt my body grow heavy as I layer down with the Sun's rays warming me I fell into slumber.
{Dream Realm}
Opening my eyes I found myself among the flowers I had fallen asleep by with the sun’s rays coming down. Definitely dreaming. So I should practice some of the spells I learned earlier. Sighing to myself I began to practice more with the spells I already knew, like teleportation, shape shifting, some illusion spells, along with the offensive and defensive spells I could remember. A couple hours probably went by as I practiced, soon I felt another presence but it was outside of my dream. Willing myself awake, my little world quickly faded away.
{Real World}
“What are you doing here little colt?” A guard in gold armor asked me gently.
Colt? Huh must be what they call boys in this world. Opening my eyes I saw they guard jump back in surprise taking a defensive stance.
“What are you doing here changeling?!” The guard's voice changing to a threatening tone.
“I-I’m not a changeling, I’m a Raistlin, my name is…” I said stammering a little from the quick change of the guard. What should my name be? I have to think of one quick! Oh I know. “...Phantom Nightmare.”
After I had finished the guard thought about what I said, I noticed he was a Pegasus. His only response was. “Come with me.” I could tell he was still on edge.
“Why? Also what is a changeling?” I said not moving from my position.
Letting out an exasperated sigh he said. “Just come with me.” I think I may have forgotten to cast the illusion spells over my eyes as well. Walking along the guard he didn't really have anything on him that stood out, except his armor. Trotting along the garden's path I saw the big castle that overlooked the entire garden. How do I miss something so big?! It's a freaking castle! I really should pay more attention to what is surrounding me. Looking over my back I saw what could have possibly lead the guard to think I was one of these ‘changelings’. It was the imprints on my back. Eh I don't feel like casting another illusion spell to cover up that. Soon we came to the open doors of the castle
“Wait here.” Was all the guard said before he walked inside of the castle. Casting a quick illusion spell I made myself basically invisible, I was quite happy with myself. When I saw the guard returning, my happiness was quickly replaced with dread when I saw who was walking beside him, luckily the white Alicorns attention was on the guard. Ducking out of sight, because I had no idea how experienced she was with seeing through illusions, or just knowing I was there, I found my hiding spot behind a conveniently placed bush. Adjusting myself to her their conversation better, I could hear. “I told him to stay here.” He said aimlessly looking around. “He seemed pretty happy to follow me.”
“It is okay Sky Trail, next time just bring him with you.” She comforting Sky. “He is important to find, he escaped from the hospital a couple hours ago through dark teleportation.”
“I will find him Princess Celestia.” Well now I know her name, but I need to know the rest of their names. I'll just look through Sky’s memory. My eyes were solely fixed on Sky as he headed back to the garden. Alone. Exactly what I need, with Celestia and the guard separated it will make this easier for me. Trailing the guard quietly I asked Dark how I could get the information I needed.
“Well with your new form, you can take whoever looks into your eyes into a nightmare, thus living up to your name.” He smiled in reply.
“That simple?[”
“Yes, but you have to choose to put them into the said nightmare, and you can enter it as well, also a choice.”
“Thanks Dark.”
“Anytime, I am quite bored just talking to Star here.”
“And that's a bad thing!?”
Before I had to hear them insult each other, I suppressed them rolling my eyes at how easy it is to offend a remnant. All right, time to cause a nightmare in the day. This should be interesting. Smiling to myself as I came up on Sky, careful not to alert him of my position. “This will be fun little guard.” I said dropping my illusion, showing off my teeth with my nightmare eyes. The moment his locked with mine I saw his eyes widen, and his pupils constrict from fear of what was contained in his nightmare. Sensing fear build I entered the nightmare, influencing it with images of the other Alicorns, I saw his nightmare immediately react Changing into a large array of chaos, luckily I could pick out the memories the flowed into the nightmare which fueled it. Alright, so the lavender Alicorn is called Twilight Sparkle, the pink one is called Cadence, and they are all princesses. Then Twilight and her friends are the element bearers of harmony. Giggling I began influencing the nightmare more heavily. “Isn’t this fun…”
P.O.V. : Celestia
After I finished talking to Sky Trail I waited to see if something might happen, since the little Phantom had escaped from both the hospital *and my students grasp. Seeing him with an illusion spell on, and following Sky, I wrapped the light around my causing invisibility, and then followed Phantom from a distance. The hunter becomes the hunted. I wonder what he is planning to do, I should make sure he doesn’t do anything to Sky, though he is a capable guard I do not know how much power little Phantom has. I saw Sky turn around and face Phantom when it seemed like he said something, then I could see Sky’s eyes constrict very fast. Walking closer I came up to their sides, and what I see disturbed me greatly. Phantom had silver lunar pony eyes, and peculiar marks on his back, they were black and white in the shape of folded wings. Sky’s pupils were constricted to a very small dot in his eyes. Phantom is using some kind of magic, looks to be nightmare magic since he also has the teeth simply leer to that of Nightmare Moon.*
Casting a knockout spell on both of them, to stop the possible nightmare and capture Phantom. As I levitated them back into my castle, I received a few confused looks from the nobles around the castle. leaving Sky Trail in the barracks, I brought Phantom to my room laying his head down on my pillow. Walking to the door I caught Luna trying to get into my cake room. “Luna! Can you, instead of trying to steal my cake tell Cadence and Twilight that I found Phantom, the unicorn colt who escaped from the hospital.” Sheepishly Luna walked away down the hall, turning back in the room I grabbed a magic inhibitor and gentle slipped it over his horn. *I wonder how he got these marks on his sides, Sky told me he was called a Raistlin, and his full name was Phantom Nightmare, such a interesting name. I will ask who his parents are. Then his body tensed before deeply exhaling.*
P.O.V. : Phantom Nightmare
After I exhaled, I felt surrounded by softness on the side I was laying on.
“Do you guys know what happened?”
“You were knocked out by a spell.” *Great. Just great. Now where am I? my mind froze as I realized Princess Celestia was laying on the bed in front of me. Too bad my head still hurt bad from being knocked out or I would have returned the favor, after one of my remnants gave me the spell. Quickly turning my head I tried to release a burst of energy at the window, only to see a couple silver sparks come off my horn.*
“What did you do?!” I practically yelled at Celestia
Calm as ever she replied. “I believe that you earned a magic time out for awhile.”
“You didn't answer my question. What. Did. You. Do.” Anger began rising up in my chest, because she was purposely avoiding the question.
“I am not required by law to tell you what I did and didn't do.” She said as she closed the doors with her magic. “Can you tell me who and what you are?”
“Heh, I am not required by law to tell you.”
“You will be if I give a royal decree.”
Sighing in defeat. “Fine. My name is Phantom Nightmare, and I am a Raistlin. Happy miss princess?”
“Happy enough.” She said smiling
*I know she is hiding something, I just have to find out what. What is on my–oh that's what doing it. It's taking my magic or something. “Alright Trollestia, I believe there's something more to this conversation.”*
“Indeed there is, did you arrive on the solar eclipse that happened one day ago?”
“I think so. Why are you asking?”
Celestia’s face turned serious. “The only solar eclipse we have had was when my sister fell into darkness.”
Rolling over laughing I responded. “So I'm a living nightmare then?”
“That is to be determined.” Celestia’s face softened. “So what will you do now?”
“Escape.” I said trying not to look in the one place I could escape, the door. “And then you would never find me again.”
Celestia noticed where I could escape. “You can't escape out the door, because there is me right here with magic, and you without. And I wouldn't need to find you because you are right here.”
“You are such a troll.”
“Better than inducing ponies I just met into nightmares.” Celestia gently responded. “Now, can you tell me why you did that?”
Breaking eye contact because of the type of question that she asked then I smiled. “Well I was testing something to help me find information?” Seriously I could not tell if that pony was buying it or not, it's like she has some mask on or something.
“About?”
“Well I was using a tiny little skill I have to see who Cadence, Twilight, and her friends. And a little about anything else I wanted to know.”
A guard opened the door saying. “Princess Celestia, they have arrived.” Leaping from the bed I shouted. “FREEDOM!” Midair I was caught, which surprised the guard. Turning my head I could see Celestia’s horn surrounded by same aura of light gold that caught me.
“It's time to meet the other Princesses.” Floating me out of her bedroom, we soon came to another room which held the other three Princesses. “Dark, is there a way to break this thing on my horn?”
“Yes, I would only take a small blast of dark magic. But you should try to focus on where the inhibitor is on your horn.” Nodding thanks as I was floated into the room and set on a chair. “Hello again Luna.” Amusement over over my face, leaving the blue Alicorn confused. “Have a surprising night?”
“How would you…” Realization flashed across her face. “…Invader.”
“Nightmare Moon.” Smiling at her, I heard Twilight gasp. “Like my teeth? hey Luna, would you like to continue?”
“Where did you meet Luna?” Twilight interjected before Luna could respond.
“In a dream.” I shrugged. “More specifically, in her dream.”
“I thought Luna was the only dream walker?” Twilight looked very confused, obviously trying to understand what I said.
“Ha! Only dream walker, not anymore though.” Bored of their questions I looked to the door only to have it shut by Celestia. “How much do you know about me?”
“We know you are what's called a Raistlin, and your name is Phantom Nightmare.” Celestia said while taking her seat. “And what Discord told us, and he said last time he saw you was when you were a sphere of pure energy. That’s only something that happens to Alicorns, when they die or will it.” Celestia stopped Twilight from asking. “It is a very dangerous thing that happens, and my magic is too explosive to really have control, Luna?”
“Took me about twenty tries before I was able to control my magic.” Luna leaned back thinking. “How did you control your magic so fast?” All heads turned to me. “I just died because I tripped and ended up impaling myself, as for the sphere of magic, I just made it obey me I guess.” I said shrugging. “Then I was reborn…” Gathering the dark magic in my horn I focused it around the spot where the inhibitor was, pulsing the magic I could see the ring shatter and fly across the room. The Alicorns ducked to avoid being hit by the larger pieces. Shape shifting my wings back I took off the rest of my illusion, but leaving my gem hidden. “As this!” As I stretched my wings out, I noticed my left wing had a small claw coming off of it.
“That would explain a lot, but it now does not explain how you ascended.” Luna look intently at me for an answer. “The remnants would know, they’re part of the reason.” I pouted a little. “They are quite bored so they might want to tell you.” All the Alicorns looked very confused, Celestia was the first to speak. “I don't think you could bring them out?”
“No. They are stuck in my mind.”
“Would you relay the message?”
“Tell her good try, and to fu*% off.”
“Dark! Seriously, sometimes he is a child. Sorry I don't have the answer to that, only Dark would. But he is too busy speaking profanity.”
*Well I could not tell Celestia the last part, nah I'll just tell her anyway. “Well I don't know if this is an answer or not but, Dark said ‘good try and fu*% off’, and Star doesn't know.” All the Alicorns stared at what I just spoken, none of them wanting to speak first. Eventually Cadence spoke with uncertainty. “Well, do you have any parents? Do you know how old you are?”*
“I am certain you can tell me how old this body is, since you two had something to do with it.”
“You are twelve. What?! Why do you do this to me…” He said through me in a much darker voice, All the Alicorns were looking at me strangely, when my voice returned to normal. “What? I made him talk, big deal.” Then I was encased in a bubble that made me unable to hear anyhting outside of it. As they talked about something, Cadence seemed very excited about what their conversation was about.
“I don't suppose you guys would know what they are talking about?/i]”**
“We only see and hear what you do, so no but we could guess.”
“I’ll just wait and find out then, can’t be that bad.”
After a couple minutes of them talking, Celestia I swear must have planned this, when she popped the bubble it caused me to jump and lose hold of my illusion spell. All the princesses, except our dear Trollestia wore surprised looks. “Oops…” was I was able to to say before I heard Twilight whisper to Cadence. “Still going to do it?” Nodding was the only response Twilight received.
“Do what now?” I asked turned to Celestia, inevitably flashing off my teeth. “I would like to know why I had to sit in silence with only voices.”
“Since you do not have parents, and you are not old enough to be out on your own, Cadence here offered quite enthusiastically to let us adopt you since she claims she called any kind of thing that relate to this kind of thing.” She explained being very specific to what she was referring to. Continuing as she eyed the gem I had in my head. “So you will go to the crystal empire today with Cadence.”
Setting my head slowly on the table to keep mouth from hanging open, I knew what was happening, and I didn’t want it to. That much. Smiling at what I had just thought of, I said. “Alright I can agree on that.” This will be great. And I'll have fun. “But only if can find me first, after I hide, bye!” Casting an illusion I made it look like I had teleported out, but in reality I just hid under the table with another illusion to make it seem like I wasn't there at all.
“I thought he couldn't do teleportation spells that well.” Twilight noted to herself rising from her chair, as she was walking over I prepared a note, quickly setting it on my chair. “He left a note,–”
“We will go prepare the paper for you Cadence.” Luna said as she exited the room with Celestia.
Twilight had a slightly annoyed face as she resumed. “–about the rules ‘I’ll hide where I please, and it's your job to find me. Anything goes.’ Why do you think he runs?”
“He might just want to play.” Cadence suggested. “All we have to do is find him and we win.” *Like I will make it that easy. But if I do get caught I could hold it over Celestia head for centuries, if Alicorns are actually immortal.*
“[/color=#be4343]They are, which means you are.”
“Butt out Dark.”
“Oh no, it seems like I *butter listen.”*
“Shut up already.”
After his pun he was very quiet, while I had been communicating with Dark, Cadence had gotten very emotional in very little time, which left me pretty confused. “I know he wants to play I just know it! If we don't find him… I don't know what will happen.” Cadence continued crying. “And he doesn't even have a family.” Cadence wiped hear tears away. “And I already want to take care of him.”
“We will find him Cadence.” Twilight comforted her. “Besides since he uses dark magic he is even easier to track.” Oh crap. From under the table I saw Twilight’s horn light up for one second then I was wrapped up in ropes, giving a small Yelp as I was drug out from under the table. Now visible to both Alicorns I had probably the one of the most ridiculous smile on my face. “Hi… So much for hiding well.”
Chuckling Twilight smiled. “You his well, but your dark magic gave you away.” Her face suddenly turned serious. “Where did you learn that magic.”
“I’ve had it?”
Raising an eyebrow she moved to a different topic. “When did you find the time to learn an illusion spell?”
“Couple hours ago, memories, and abundance of magic.” I said guessing her next oncoming questions, giving a small smile to Cadence. “And I get to do something new!”
Walking over to where I was lying on the floor restrained still, Cadence rid her face of her tears by nuzzling my neck, and all I would try to do was squirm in my attempt to not be used as a towel. “What would shiny think about this?” Twilight gestured at me.
Smiling deviously Cadence replied. “If he says anything that would disagree with what I did, then he will spend a night on the couch. And could you let him go now?” As my restraints melted away they were already out the door, hurrying to catch up I found Twilight nowhere to be found and Cadence scribbling on a paper that would probably be the adoption paper that Luna prepared. After she had finished she walked back out of the room. “Follow me Prince Raistlin.” Trotting after her I assumed she said that because I was adopted by a princess, which would automatically make me a prince. *Why didn't I think of that before?*
“Because you’re stupid?”
“you can just shut up Dark.”
After Dark actually shut up, I was able to ask questions about the ‘shiny’ I heard. She just responded by saying he was her husband and it's easier to say ‘shiny’ instead of Shining the whole time. The more I find out about this world, the better chance I have to live in it. When my hooves suddenly left the ground I felt alarm until I was set on Cadences back.
“Is this really necessary?” I asked sarcastically. “I can walk myself.”
“And I want to carry you on my back. And you don’t know where we are going.”
“Then I can just follow you.” I said deadpanning
“Alright, you are heavy anyway.” Sliding off her back I landed back on the ground, shifting my wings back into imprints I noticed there was no pain. Happy with my skills I began inquiring about the crystal empire. “So are we going somewhere?”
“Yes.” Smiling down at me Cadence almost looked like she was going to pick me up again. “We are going to the crystal empire, which as the name says, is a empire of crystal”And I couldn't guess that.“the ponies there are crystal too.”finally a surprise. “I am in charge of court there, where the ponies bring me problems that they cannot solve themselves”
Nodding, I cast an illusion covering my more than ‘abnormal’ features up, looking around I spotted three unicorns looking at me, their filly looking nervous. Would be easy to scare her when she is in a state of nervousness. Cadence might do something, and I don't want to find out what her consequences might be. As I thought about that she started walking towards me, causing a small pain in my chest.
“I can tell you are up to something, it better be nice.” *Jeez, it seems a lot worse when she doesn't say ‘or else’ how does she even do that? Oh now I remember she’s the princess of love.*
“Would you care to start a prank war among immortals?” Grinning madly I showed my disguised teeth.
Before Cadence was able to answer the filly spoke up. “Hi… My name is Lily Dreams. My parents say I need more friends.” Smiling widely. “What's your name?”
At my hesitation Cadence whispered. “You should socialize Phantom.”
Sticking my tongue at her I turned back to Lily, her face slowly became downcast, before she could turn away. “Hey Lily, I was think about a way of communicating with each other.” *Not really, but I could use a friend to help me learn more stuff!*
“What would that be?” She stayed suddenly interested.
“I need a second to remember.”
“If you guys don't help quickly I may not reward you.” Immediately two spells were shouted in my mind.
“We will collect later.”
“Just remind me, okay Star?” Prompting me to use the spells he refreshed the memory. Casting the spell fire paper it appeared in front of us catching both papers Lily looked at me smiling my horn glowed again, two cursed quills appeared before us. After she caught those too, I had to caught my breath. Ooh, that was quite something summoning two of each thing. Hey guys memory for explaining… on cue another section of memories popped up.
“OK. So the papers are called fire paper, what it does is when you burn it, the words you write on it will be sent to me so I can read it, and it will create a new paper as well.” Taking a breath. “The quills are kind of a living spell, that's why they are called cursed quills, what they do is write your thoughts while using your magic energy, best thing about them is they cannot make a spelling mistake or grammar error. Cool huh?” Taking a closer look I noticed her mane was dark green, her coat was dark blue, and he eyes were a beautiful leaf green. *How do I miss details as big as this?!*mental facehoof**** “Oh and I'm Phantom Nightmare.”**
Smiling brightly she left me with me quill and paper. “See you later Phantom!”
Waving, I turning to Cadence and her smile said something I couldn't understand. “Are you planning something?”
Shaking her head. “No, I was just remembering how Shiny did nearly the same thing. Except you were a gentlecolt and gave her magical items, lol he did was give me paper with his name in it.” Cadence gave a small laugh looking down at me. “Where did you learn those spells.”
“Funny thing, they were shoved in my head. They are certain advantages to having remnants in your mind.” Frowning at her she laughed more. “And who said I had to live your hus–my fathers life?”
“Nopony. I am certain though That there will be similarities.” Cadence was still smiling when she ordered the train tickets, now boarding the train. Their sayings are hurting my head, I might be able to not completely answer her question. Looking up I at my mom, I could tell she was waiting for my answer. “What?”
“I'm waiting for your answer.” *Dang, she didn't forget.*
“Well I mentioned remnants right?” When she nodded I continued. “I have two of them permanently stuck in my mind, and remnants are the creation of memories without souls, so they gave me the spells.” “Still owe us.” When we reached our cabin, jumping on the bed Cadence continued. “How were did they become permanently stuck in your mind?”
Scowling I splayed out on the bed. “I don't wanna talk about it.”
“The train ride is quite long from here to the crystal empire.”
“I can just sleep then.”
“And if you cannot sleep?”
“You're going to make me do it.”
“Now you get it!” Happily Cadence applauded me. “I'm sure the ponies would like to meet their new prince.” Yes I am quite sure… I thought sarcastically.
“But doesn't that mean I might be bored to no end?”
“That is quite possible.” *I knew there was some kind of downside to being a prince!*
“Quit torturing me.”
“But it's so fun though.”
“And yet I suddenly want to fall asleep, to escape this.”
“I would just wake you up.”
Letting out an exasperated sigh. “Fine. I'll go introduce myself to every. Single. Pony on the train.” The only thing Cadence did after that was giggle as I left the cabin, shutting the door I was met with one of the train attendants. “Do you need anything, prince Raistlin?”
“Just something to eat.” Smiling she turned down the pathway. “Follow me.” Gleefully following her to the food, since I hadn't had anything today to eat. At least I don't have to introduce myself to the whole train. I am way too hungry to accomplish such a thing. “Here we are, i hope you enjoy the food prince Raistlin.” Nodding thanks she left, taking a seat at one of the tables in the train car, I wondered what they served. Well I am soon to find out. A couple minutes after she had left a waiter came.
“What would you like to eat prince Raistlin?” Sighing at the overuse of my new title, I replied. “Do you have any fish?” Nodding I continued. “Then I'll also take a slice of vanilla cake and six cookies.”
After he finished scribbling down my order. “We have rainbow fish on the train at the moment.”
“That's fine, can you get me one of those then?” Adding that to the order he left out the door to the kitchen. *I wish I had my stuff. I wonder why they went.*
“They were sent to your pocket dimension, when you died yesterday.”
“Thanks for the reminder. Also you need to teach me how to access it. I don't know everything in the world, not yet at least.”
“I can teach you later, right now I'm in the middle of a chess game with Dark. He is really intent on beating me.”
“Good for him.”
“Shut up. I don't like to lose, that's it.”
“Sure it is, talk to you guys later.”
“Checkmate.”
“…F#%* it!”
Laughing as the waiter came back, I could see confusion on his face as he brought my food in his magic. Setting my food on the tab,e he asked. “What's so funny?
Taking a bite of the cake. “My voices are being funny again, because one of them lost another game of chess. Quite the reaction the loser had.”
“Alright, ring the bell when you are done or need something.” As I nodded he left me to eat my cake. When I had finished my cake I quickly moved on to the cookies. Taking a closer look at the fish, it literally looked like a rainbow had hit it. Taking a bit of the strange thing, my mouth ways hit with a beautiful combination of spicy and sour balancing perfectly with the natural flavor of the meat. I was surprised to find that too soon did I finish the fish, slightly disappointed. Ringing the bell he had left on my table, I made my way back to my cabin since I now felt drowsy to continue.
“Did you have a good time?”
Flopping on the bed, I have a small groan. “Absolutely. It was delicious.”
Sighing Cadence liked my sleepy body over to her bed, by the time I tried to make an argument I was already comfortable, falling asleep I thought I felt something bump me. Shrugging it off I fell asleep in her warm embrace.
When I awoke I was surrounded by what I assumed to be crystal ponies, sliding off her back I noticed the group only tighten closer, annoyed I stripped off my illusion shouting. “Ba!” And as they tried to run away I almost bounded after them as they screamed in terror running away, but Cadence caught me with her magic and lifted me up to her frowning face of disapproval. Smiling the best I could with my razor sharp teeth. “If you weren't so cut you would be in your room right now, and Shining is now wondering why those ponies were running in terror.” Cadence half scolded. Now that we were under the castle I could see Shining trotting up with a confused face.
Jokingly I said. “Is that another pony I can terrorize?”
“No, that is Shining Armor, and I don't think you would be able to scare him.”
“Scare who now?” Noticing me in Cadence’s magic. “Was that the little colt who scared all those crystal ponies? And is he an Alicorn? Why is he with you?”
“We adopted him, he is the one who did the scaring, he is an Alicorn, and he was going to try to scare you.” Cadence replied. I heard Shining Armor mumble something. “What was that Shiny, I couldn't hear you.”
Speaking louder Shining Armor voiced his opinion. “I said why didn't you ask me first?” When I smiled he suddenly realized his mistake he tried to correct it, but Cadence beat him to it. “Wrong answer.” Smiling Cadence continued. “And for a kind reminder you get to sleep on the couch again.” Laughing in the air at Shining’s apparently repeated consequence Cadence asked me. “Well it's getting late, Celestia will set the sun soon. Phantom, shall we get the couch ready for your father?” Still laughing I was able to get out. “Sure!” As I was set down I bounded into the crystal castle to prepare Shiny’s couch.
