//-------------------------------------------------------// The Changing paths of elements -by TheGryphonsPresent- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: The Ceremony //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: The Ceremony Dialogue Older Celestia:"I..Suppose..your wondering..why am I telling this?...or what am I talking about.. and to why it even matters what an old alicorn like me has to say..I guess to answer that question is..its all about how my friendship...broke..and all of it...felt like it was my own fault for causing my own dear friends to drift away from me..so here goes nothing, but my dear subjects please..just remember not every tale always ends in a happy ending. Older Celestia:"Once upon a time thousands of years ago there was a group of friends, two of course sisters who brought out the sun and moon each and every night..while the other four often brought joy and harmony to the land protecting equestria that was oh so dear to them..they had thought that their friendship would never end but they were wrong...and so blind for what was too come.. Chapter 1: •Pacing constantly, young Luna would be talking to her self in a very irritated manner• Young Luna:"Where are they? They should be here already by now sister..how long must we wait the ceremony is about to begin and their not even here yet" •Young Celestia would let out a slight chuckle at her sister who was being to impatient• Young Celestia:"Dear sister be patient the ceremony doesn't begin till 15 minutes from now give them time they'll be here just be patient Luna remember I've never- •Young Celestia would be cut off from Luna interrupting her• Young Luna:"I know..I know you always say I've never doubted them before and I never will but that's just it what if they don't make it this time, what if..what if discord got distracted and tried throwing a party in town square?! A-And forgot about the ceremony?! W-which distracted the others from coming and-•Young Celestia would interrupt Luna, speaking in a very calming manner• Young Celestia:"Luna dear sister calm down your thinking about it too much." Young Luna:"But I..it's just I don't know it's hard to say." Young Celestia:"Whys that's?..Luna do you not trust our friends?.." Young Luna:"What?! N-No no dear sister it's not that.." Young Celestia:"Then what is it Luna, you can tell me." Young Luna:"Its just that its- •Young Luna would get interrupted by a Pegasus stallion shouting as he walked in with three other ponies behind him• Young Discord/non Draconequus: "WERE HERE!" •Young Discord sang at the top of his lungs with joy• •Delirium would look at discord with an annoyed look• Young Delirium:"Is it really necessary to do that Discord?" Young discord:"It is when your me." •Discord would give a mischievous grin towards Delirium to taunt her as he placed his hoof on his chest being too full of him self• Young Delirium:"Your unbelievable  sometimes Discord." Young Discord:"Its my specialty Delirium" Young chrysalis:"Eheh lets not fight besides the ceremony is suppose to start guys now let's hurry otherwise star swirled might end up giving us a lecture last time we almost missed the ceremony." Young Celestia:"Chrysalis is right we better get going." •all six ponies began to walk out of the room together while Luna stayed in the back of the group eyeing Delirium with concern and trotted to her sisters side and whispered into her sisters ear while they walked• Young Luna:"Sister..don't you think..Deliriums been acting well strange lately?.." Young Celestia:"Strange?..How so Luna?" Young Luna:"I mean haven't you even bothered to look at the elements lately mainly at the element of oh I don't know loyalty?!" •Luna whispered with an annoyed tone as she pinned her ears back forcefully• Young Celestia:"No I haven't Luna not recently due tell what you saw" Young Luna:"Well dear sister I-I noticed it last night after I had risen the moon and was just taking a small walk along the castle and..When I nearly passed the room that held the elements of harmony I had seen the door was open and thought I must of forgotten to close it or a guard had just left the room so when I walked in..and I was close enough to see the elements I..noticed that..the element of loyalty..seemed to look grey for some reason even I haven't a clue and I hadn't told star swirled cause even he him self probably wouldn't know..oh dear sister I'm worried something bad is about to happen.." Young Celestia:"Grey?...that's very unsual..for the elements and does thou think that Delirium might be the cause of it?" •Celestia would raise an eyebrow, looking a her sister• Young Luna:"Yes..I well..sort of..but sister what if..what if the elements don't just bring harmony and reform creatures or ponies from their wrongful ways what if..the elements aren't safe?.." Young Celestia:"Luna I'll talk to star swirled about this just in case to ease your worry if that'll get your mind off these thoughts." Young Luna:"But sister they..they aren't thoughts...oh you never listen sometimes.." •Luna had said those last words after Celestia was a bit further ahead far enough to where she wouldn't be able to hear Luna• Young Discord/non draconequus: "Ohh this is gonna be a blast I'll be sure too- •Discord would get cut off by Sombra who stopped him in mid-sentence• Young Sombra:"Don't even dare think about it Discord remember last time?" Young Discord/non draconequus: "Hey! I wasn't the one who started throwing sodas knocking out half the crowd last year I take that as an offense where's your lawyer for this dispute?" •Young Sombra would roll his eyes at Discord completely unamused• Young Sombra:"Dispute? This isn't even a dispute it's a fact!" Young Discord:"Nah it was just some mare probably in the crowd mad at me for who knows what maybe it was for changing one of those ponies shampoo with peanut butter" Young Sombra:"Oh yes it's a complete mystery to why she'd be mad" Young Discord:"Oh yes indeed shall we figure it out I'll get the magnifying glass for this and Luna can be our dog that saids Sombra in a scared voice ohh perfect I'll get the van" Young Sombra:"Lets not" Young Discord:"Oh your no fun" Young Luna:"Wait hey! Why do I get to be the dog?" Delirium:"Hush were just right around the corner to the ceremony." Young Luna:"Fine" •Luna would groan• •They'd all walk on to the balcony to greet star swirled• Star swirled:"Glad to see you all made it" •Celestia would walk to the railing of the balcony and speak with pride while Luna folded her ears back again looking at her sister as she stood near star swirled• Young Celestia:"Dearest subjects I'm proud to announce that the summer sun celebration will begin straight away..Discord would you like to do the honors." Young Discord:"Oh would I ever I thought you'd never ask cause I was just getting ready to have tea with philomena." Young Celestia:"Discord!" •Celestia had said harshly• Young Discord:"Alright alright." •Discord would get out his fire work launcher out of no where spreading his wings widely as he flew up firing off the fire work cannon and the fireworks would be shot out, igniting together and would go off with colors everywhere spreading across the sky while Delirium walked to stand close to Luna and tapped her shoulder whispering to her in her ear• Delirium:"Luna..I need to speak with you away from the others for a moment." Young Luna:"What about exactly?.." Delirium:"I'll explain but just..just follow" Young Luna:"Alright?.." •Delirium would lead Luna away from the others and further down the hall from the balcony• Young Luna:"What does thou want to speak about?" •Delirium would look both left and right before answering Luna's question• Delirium:"Alright fine I'll answer now that no  pony is around, but don't go telling any one of this got it?" Young Luna:"G-Got it" Delirium:"Good,Luna..Do you ever get that feeling how you feel so tired of repeating things like think about it all me, you and all the others of the elements of harmony all we do is return harmony back to the land and reform some creature we barely even know always the same thing half the time..aren't you sick of it? And after that we go back to our daily lives like nothing happened it's so..so predictable don't you think? Young Luna:"Well I..- •Delirium would interrupt Luna speaking in an angered manner• Delirium:"And don't think I haven't noticed how you've been feeling I mean Celestia your own sister raises the sun and we can see how much the ponies love her oh so much more ever think of taking the throne for your self, I mean look at you smart, young, much more beautiful then your own sister and if you were to take the throne you'd make such a fine ruler and maybe then those ponies who neglected the night for so long and if you wanted •Delirium whispered into Luna's ear• I could help guide you." Young Luna:"What but I'd never do that we rule equestria together." •Delirium would circle around Luna in a slow walking pace as she lowered her head speaking in an angered and taunting tone• Delirium:"Really now?..It sure doesn't seem like it besides..you'd make such a better ruler then miss sunshine over there all she does is raise that sun of hers and waving when ever a ceremony happens half the time acting as if she really cared about them." •Luna would give an angered expression with tears forming in her eyes• Young Luna:"Delirium that's enough I'd never do such a thing..what's going on with y-your acting so different and why are you saying such things equestria is fine how it is as long as it's protected from those who want to harm it." •A serious look would form on Deliriums face as she slammed Luna against the wall with her horn glowing giving off a slight warning she would fire her magic at any moment• Delirium:"Hahaha.. are you kidding?! Equestria is never fine practically everyday we have to protect this..this place and for what?! No appreciation afterwards and they'll always be more freaks coming to try and take it over again it never ends and I've been driven to where I-I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE! If you don't do something I will! Young Luna:"Delirium I..I think that's enough! I don't want to hear this anymore.." Delirium:"Fine be that way but think about my offer Luna cause who knows maybe someday you might even turn it happens to the best of us and wipe those tears of yours I'm heading back now don't wanna miss the entire ceremony•Delirium had a smug tone in her voice• Young Luna:"T-That'll never happen..never..." Delirium:"Whatever you say..Luna.." •Delirium rolled her eyes as she unpinned Luna from the wall walking back to the balcony to where the others were while Luna fell to the floor with one of her forehooves on the ground while the other front hoof was on her head as she sobbed while talking to her self• Young Luna:"I..I won't turn..I won't turn..I'll never hurt any pony..never..not even when the day I die..I-I have to tell sister about this some pony..anypony about this some where no pony can here me and sister speak about this situation- •Luna would hear her name called by her sister Celestia• Young Celestia:"Luna..Luna! Where are you..we need you.." •Luna slowly got up wiping her tears away before walking back to the balcony avoiding eye contact with Delirium• Young Celestia:"Everything alright Luna?..where were you?.." •Luna sniffles and then answered her sister with denial in her voice• Young Luna:I-Its nothing..let's just get this ceremony over with.." Young Celestia:"Are you sure Luna?" Young Luna:"Shut up..yes I'm sure."•She bit her lip holding back her tears as she said those words to her sister having regretted saying that Luna would begin casting the spell to lower her moon• •Celestia ears folded back as concern formed on her face but didn't bother to question her sister any longer, and watched her sister begin to lower the moon to make way for her sun, and moments later Celestia's horn lit and she too began to use her magic to raise her sun for the new dawn while the ponies young and old gave out cheers of joy for the new year• •Young Sombra  would look over at Chrysalis giving a smile of joy to her and he let out a sigh with a pleased relaxed look on his face• Young Sombra:"Another new year who knows what this year will hold for us right Chrysalis?" •Chrysalis had been leaning against the balcony rail with her elbow against the rail and her hoof on her cheeks completely zoned out, she'd shake her head snapping out of her daze• Young Chrysalis:"Oh um..yes right another new year though it worries me." Young Sombra:"Whys that?" Young Chrysalis:"I don't know just this new year I know it's just beginning and all but I have a bad feeling about it." Young Sombra:"Do you wanna talk about it Chrysalis?" •Chrysalis shook her head and replied back to Sombra• Young Chrysalis:"No..I rather not." Young Sombra:"Alright then..sorry if I offended you." Young Chrysalis:"W-What oh no no you didn't offend me Sombra you could never offend me your my dearest friend." Young Sombra:"Still apologies for what I said." •Chrysalis would give a warm smile to Sombra• Young Chrysalis:"Apology accepted even know you didn't offend me." Star swirled:"Brand new bright year for all of us wonderful job Celestia and Luna for bringing another year." •Celestia and Luna bowed their heads to star swirled• • Discord let out a small yawn of boredom• Young Discord/Non draconequus: "Alright it's sooo boring now, why don't we go and celebrate this year just the seven of us in the castle garden instead of standing here on the balcony practically for an eternity." •All Discords friends would let out a slight chuckle at discords complaint• Young Celestia:"Alright Discord." Young Luna:"But no maze games..I hate the maze.."•Luna mumbled• Young Discord:"Alright fine..but lets go now! •Discord leading the way marched proudly taking out his cake cannon and pushed it along with his wings spread out widely while he walked with the others behind him following him to the Castle garden• //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2:The Promise //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2:The Promise •All seven ponies reached the castle garden with Discord leading the way, he would set his cake cannon down and take a step back and get a running start leaping in the air to jump kick the doors open with a loud thud being heard from the doors being hit• Young Sombra:"Did you really have to do that you know me, Celestia , Luna or star swirled or maybe even Delirium could of just opened the doors with our magic." Young Discord:"It wouldn't have been any fun if you did that besides my entrance was better every entrance I do is always remembered." •Sombra walked with the group levitating Discord as they all headed out side with him talking sarcastically about Discords comment• Young Sombra:"The only hard part is trying to forget your entrance." Young Discord:"Hey!" Young Sombra:"Just hush and fire your cake cannon or streamer light saber or whatever so we can get this party going and so I can drop you so I don't have to keep levitating you cause this is way to far past the limit of how long I'd want to levitate you!" Young Discord:"Sheesh fine but don't be so harsh otherwise I might just- Young Sombra:"Andddd were ending this topic here." •Discord gave a frown and pulled out his banner pistols and fired them at different places firing out different colored banners to decorate the area• •Straight away Sombra dropped Discord with his magic like he said he would after Discord finished decorating and a small crash would be heard from the drop with Discord letting out a groan• Young Discord:"Easy..I'm a delicate flower" Young Sombra:"A flower? Are we really going into this discussion." Young Discord:"Yes and It won't end till pigs fly." •Sombra would already be walking off not hearing what Discord had said already bored of the conversation• Young Discord:"Wait hey come back here Sombra I wasn't finished talking to you yet." •Sombra yelled back not bothering to even look back at Discord• Young Sombra:"Yes we are besides it wasn't going any where anyways." •Discord frowned as he quieted down and followed Sombra to the group while firing his cake cannon all around• Young Discord:"Ohh cakes for everyone!" Young Chrysalis:"N-Not this again..ack!" Young Luna:"DUCK IN COVER!!" •Luna and Chrysalis ran for cover behind one of the trees in the garden to avoid Discords cake cannon attacks• •Young Sombra ran charging towards Discord and stopped standing in a protective stance with his horn glowing a dark red• Young Sombra:"I think that's enough Discord We only needed one cake not a bucking cake war for crying out loud sheesh." •Sombra levitated the cake cannon away from discords grasp and placed it by his side with a smirk appearing on his face• Young Sombra:"But.. in all fairness for revenge this is payback!" •Sombra fired the cake cannon back at Discord firing off cakes at him• Young Discord:"oh ho ho your on!" •Discord grabbed a smeared cake piece off the grass throwing it at Sombra but missed by a few quarters hitting Chrysalis making her come out from behind the tree• Young Chrysalis:"Discord.." •Discord gulped and gave a nervous smile• Young Discord:"Eheheh yes..Chrysalis?..." Young Chrysalis:"You just caused your self to lose this cake war prepare to meet your fate." •Chrysalis grabbed a piece of cake from the grass throwing it at him• Young Chrysalis:"Take That!" Young Discord:"Two on one is it, well played but not well played enough!" •Discord grabbed his tail shaking it roughly making two cannons fall out of his tail• Young Discord:"Meet my treat cannons Lefty and righty! •Celestia would walk off far away from the food fight and sit down by the pond in the garden letting out a sigh thinking about what her sister told her earlier and held her head down with a sadden look on her face• Young Celestia:"What if Luna's right..what if something is wrong with Delirium..what if what's happening to the element of loyalty fading to grey happens to the other elements.." •Discord would be firing off his treat cannons at Sombra and Chrysalis who were throwing back the cakes and pies that fell to the ground back at him one pie ending up hitting him on the cheek• Young Discord:"And take that!.Huh?.." •Discord looked away from the food fight noticing Celestia sitting alone and then looked back at Chrysalis and Sombra• Young Discord:"Guys why not we pause the food fight here I'm gonna go see what's wrong with Celestia alright?" Young Sombra:"Alright" Young Chrysalis:"Will be talking to Luna and star swirled then if you need us okay Discord?" Young Discord:"Sounds good to me I'll go check on her now." •Chrysalis and Sombra both parted ways with Discord to go see star swirled and Luna while Discord ran to over to Celestia• Young Discord:"Huff..huff..Celestia..w-what's the matter?"•Discord panted trying to catch his breath• Young Celestia:"I'll tell you when you catch your breath." •Discord waved his hoof while the other was against his chest• Young Discord:"N-No I'm fine just uh pulled a muscle yeah that's it nothing to worry about I'll just..take a seat might help me I mean uh might lessen the pain." Young Celestia:"Trying to impress me are you?" •The tips of Discord ears redden• Young Discord:"W-What don't be ridiculous"•Discord would chuckle nervously• Young Celestia:"Its alright I won't tell." Young Discord:"Hmph..How do you do that always knowing what I'm actually doing even with out asking." Young Celestia:"A mare never reveals her secrets such as great as that one Discord." •Discord pouted and then rolled his eyes giving a smile• Young Discord:"Alright fine miss magician, but..mind telling me why your sitting away from the others it isn't like you to do that ya know."•Discord had sat down beside her• Young Celestia:"I guess what Luna had told me earlier when we were still heading to the ceremony keeps haunting my thoughts." •Discord raised an eyebrow with a look of concern upon him• Young Discord:"What did Luna tell you earlier?" Young Celestia:"She..She told me that something seemed wrong with one of the elements telling me the element of loyalty seemed to look grey..Discord what if something really is wrong or about to happen..I don't want any of you to get hurt if I can't find out what's coming before it's too- Young Discord:"Shh Celestia dearest..you shouldn't stress about this I bet even Luna is stressing over this as much as you are but will just have to try our best to find out what's going on and why." Young Celestia:"But Discord what if yours or any of our friends or my sisters element besides the element of loyalty starts to do that too..I-I'm scared.. •Discord gently placed his hoof on Celestia's cheek with a sympathetic look on his face• Young Discord:"Celestia my dear everything will be ok nothing's gonna happen as long as all of us are here , remember we're here for one another and no matter what I'd never try an abandon you, to me it doesn't matter what the elements say, I mean take a look at our friends over there..there all having fun smiling, laughing just enjoying each other's company even when we all sometimes get on one another's nerves but what I'm trying to say is just focus on the good things not frightening ones alright dear?" •Celestia placed her hoof gently on his hoof that was against her cheek with her eyes shut answering his question• Young Celestia:"mm alright I'll try but I can't promise anything, but can I ask you something please.." Young Discord:"Anything my dear." •Celestia opened her eyes giving Discord a soft gaze• Young Celestia:"alright then..but don't take this the wrong way ok?.. Young Discord:"Alright..Im listening." Young Celestia:"If you ever were to become evil..would you end up forgetting all of our friends and even forget me?.." Young Discord:"What...No no never of course not Celestia I wouldn't ever do that to you or to any of our friends for that matter..what made you think that idea..is it about the elements how you mentioned about one of them being grey from Luna to me earlier?" •Celestia nodded softly bitting her bottom lip with a sadden expression on her face• Young Celestia:"Mhm.." •Discord let out a sigh bringing Celestia close and gave her a gentle hug resting his chin on her head• Young Discord:"Tell me.." Young Celestia:"Tell you..what?.." Young Discord:"Tell me everything that's been on your mind today right now..please." Young Celestia:"Okay I'll try my best to explain then..but where to start..?" Young Discord:"Why not start with what's been on your mind the most." Young Celestia:"Well..I guess my thoughts have been dwelling on delirium the most Luna said Deliriums been well acting off as off as her own element has making me wonder if both those problems are connected some how there's gotta be some way to just understand it." Young Discord:"Delirium eh..come to think of it she has been acting well unlike her self lately now that ya mention her." Young Celestia:"So then it isn't just Luna noticing this it's you too and maybe even the others have been noticing this aswell." Young Discord:"Perhaps but let's not jump to our theories just yet on this will just have to find out the truth with out being seen." Young Celestia:"And how are we suppose to do that?" •A smile would grow on Discord face while he still was resting his chin on her head answering her question immediately• Young Discord:"Oh I have my ways dearest..I have my ways..-" Young Celestia:"Discord..could you promise me something please..?" •Discords eyes darted down to Celestia listening carefully as he took his chin off her head now with his face nearly close to hers• Young Discord:"Of course what is it?..." Young Celestia:"Well..can you promise me you won't turn please it doesn't have to be kept forever just so I know that you won't..become like one of the creatures... that want to harm equestria.." Young Discord:"I-I don't know if I can ever keep such a promise but ya know what I'll try my best for you love...I'll do my best." •Discord leaned in and kissed her forehead• •A tint of red would appear on her cheeks beginning to sound flustered in her voice• Young Celestia:"T-Thank you Discord..thank you.." Young Discord:"Any time my dear.." •A thought began to stir in discords head as he pinned his ears back while looking up at the clouds in the sky  with Celestia in his embrace muttering to him self quietly to not be overheard by Celestia• Young Discord:"I just hope I can keep it.." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3:There's no answer //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3:There's no answer *All the ponies would continue talking to one another except Delirium who was sitting against a tree far from the group by her self with both her front hooves clenching her head as she spoke in a panic like tone while trying not to be over heard by her friends* Delirium:"Why did I say that..oh why did I say that to her..Luna is my friend..and so is Celestia whats gotten into me..why am I acting like this?! I-I just need sleep that's all yea that's it! And I can just try and forget this entire day ever happened.." *Delirium shook her head while still clenching it as a voice echoed in her head* *The echo of the voice would manifest its self into Deliriums shadow and appear beside her with a devilish tone to her voice* Deliriums shadow:"Forget?..Why try and forget our plans miss loyalty?.." *Delirium would answer back to her shadow in a frightened voice* Delirium:"C-Cause its wrong I shouldn't be doing this.." Deliriums Shadow:"Do you really think you have a choice in this miss Loyalty?..Cause you don't." Delirium:"But..I don't want too..I refuse to do any more of this .." Deliriums Shadow:"Do you really think..that I'd let that happen I'm what you are..and what you want to be..take my advice your nothing without me miss Loyalty." Delirium:"But I.." *Deliriums shadow raised an eyebrow as she quickly turned Delirium around and placing her hooves gently over Deliriums Shoulders* Deliriums Shadow:"Think of it this way..picture it, the world would be at your disposal and for you to control and bend at your own free will with no one to tell you to no or what you should and shouldn't do and you wouldn't be that mare who's just one of the elements who constantly helps reform pathetic creatures you don't even know and would be the mare known for her power ruling with an iron hoof." Delirium:"But what about the others..what about my friends?" *Deliriums shadow would snap at Delirium with an angered voice* Deliriums Shadow:"Friends? If they were your friends they wouldn't be trying to stop us..but there not your friends are they..no not anymore..i'm your only friend Delirium your one and only true friend who hasn't left your side since the start I say you should trust me more then those wretched ponies believe me my dear Delirium I shall take care of them if matters get worse or..the elements will take care of them before I do." Delirium:"W-What do you mean the elements might take care of them..?" *Deliriums shadow would only smirk as she gave off an evil chuckle* Deliriums Shadow:"You'll just have to wait and see..it'll be a surprise to be unforgettable." *Delirium began to whisper to her self quietly* Delirium:"I should warn them.." *Deliriums Shadow pinned her ears back forcefully as she walked up to Delirium grabbing her by the chin roughly* Deliriums Shadow:"You shall do no such thing Delirium I wont allow that to happen so stick with the plan.." *Deliriums shadow threw Delirium to the ground roughly as aloud slam was made once Delirium hit the ground letting out a whimper* Delirium's Shadow:"Now don't do anything you'll regret Delirium..but to make sure you don't..lets get rid of that goodie too shoes personality you got its too sickening." *Deliriums shadow's horn began to glow a dark red aura as the silhouette walked towards Delirium placing her horn against Deliriums head lightly as a grin began to grow on her face* Delirium's Shadow:"Its time I take control." *Delirium closed her eyes as her ears pinned back as the shadow of her ran into her body* Delirium:"Gah..*Delirium clenched the ground as her legs trembled but slowly her body would stop shaking suddenly as she opened her eyes grinning* Delirium:"Now that's..much better" *Delirium walked over leaving with out the others noticing her as she headed back into the castle* Young Celestia:"Discord..I think..we should go ask Star Swirled now.." Young Discord:"Oh um..right.." *Young Celestia blushed as she looked at discords front hooves wrapped around her stomach to keep her in his embrace from earlier* Young Celestia:"Uh..Discord..could you..um..unwrap your arms.." Young Discord:"Oh! I didn't realize I still was holding you these things have a mind of their own." *Discord would take his arms off Celestia as he was asked too and got up helping Celestia up* Young Discord:"Mi'Lady." Young Celestia:"Your too kind." *Celestia took his hoof as Discord had pulled her to her feet* Young Celestia:"Do you think he'll know what to do or at least have an idea that could help us?" Young Discord:"Well my father is full of great ideas and created a bunch of spells so I'm sure he'll have some clue to how to help." *Discord waved his wing to his father Star Swirled as he and Celestia trotted towards Star Swirled Young Discord:"Hey dad! We gotta ask ya something its important but we have to speak to you in private.. Star Swirled:"Oh?..What about?" Young Celestia:"Will explain in the castle some pony might be listening in." *Celestia tugged on Star Swirls hoof motioning discord to follow as they galloped into the castle and leaving the garden* Star Swirled:"Must be something important then if your practically dragging me down miss Celestia.." Young Celestia:"Goodness I'm terrible sorry Star swirled." *Celestia levitated Star swirled on too Discords back while they were galloping* *Discord would fall back from the sudden drop of his father landing on his back* Young Discord:"oof..did ya have to drop him on my Celestia?! *Celestia turned her head back and stopped her self in her tracks as she turned around trotting back to where discord fell back and helped him up levitating Star Swirled off Discords back* Young Celestia:"Guess I got carried away." *Discord pinned his ears back as he rubbed his head Young Discord:"Ya think?" Young Celestia:"Lets not argue about this right now lets get going." Star Swirled:"Agreed." Young Discord:"Fine..hmph." Young Celestia:"Why not uh you lead the way instead to your Studies room Star Swirled." Star Swirled:"Glad too come along." Young Celestia & Discord both:"Alrighty." *Celestia and Discord would follow Star Swirled to his studies, Once the three had arrived at Star Swirled's studies he would open the door for them allowing them to come in with Discord  shutting the door behind them with his wing* Star Swirled:"Now tell me whats so important you wanted to talk about you two." *Both Celestia and Discord looked at one another giving each other a small nod before answering Star Swirled* Young Celestia:"Well..its about the elements.." Young Discord:"Celestia and I think there's something wrong with them." Star Swirled:"Wrong?..How exactly?" *Star Swirled asked seeming intrigued in this news* Young Celestia:"Well Luna told me this earlier before the ceremony had started and..said she saw one of the elements looked grey said it was the element of loyalty..so I told I'd talk to you to see if you knew anything about it." Star Swirled:"Grey you said right?" Young Celestia:"Yes." Star Swirled:"Let me look..perhaps I might have something that could help figure this out." *Star Swirled walked to his book shelf getting on his hind legs to reach one of his books on the elements and began flipping through the pages but only a shocked and worried look formed on his face* Young Discord:"Dad..whats wrong..what did you find?.." Star Swirled:"That's Just it I didn't find anything at all about the elements or an element becoming grey." Young Discord:"Let me see that." *Discord quickly snatched the book away from his father Star Swirled* Young Discord:"Did you check every page? Star Swirled:"Yes and none of the pages show any answers to this issue." *Discord gave an unamused look with a slight pout to it looking at his father* Young Discord:"You lie." Star Swirled:"As if I'd lie about a matter this important." Young Discord:"Well ya never know ya lied to mom a few times when she was around." Star Swirled:"That is a completely different issue to the one were facing right now, Celestia which element was grey exactly if I may ask." Young Celestia:"Loyalty.." Star Swirled:"Strange..But I have a suggestion.." Young Celestia:"What's the suggestion Star swirled?" Star Swirled:"I Suggest you try and your best to keep an eye on Delirium then since shes the element of loyalty and it'd be wise to not be seen when you do she could be up to something.." Young Discord:"Like what?.." Star Swirled:"I can't answer that because I don't exactly know my self but if one of the elements are grey this could be just the beginning of something much worse to come perhaps you should make Sombra and Chrysalis aware of this troublesome news it'd be wise for them to know aswell." Young Celestia:"Alright and thank you for trying to help us Star Swirled.." *Delirium would be peeking in secretly grinning* Delirium:"So..they think just telling the others will make em safe..there very mistaken." *Delirium walked off before Celestia and Discord left Star swirls studies.* //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4:The Chaos Starts now //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4:The Chaos Starts now Young Celestia:"Lets go warn Sombra and chrysalis..Discord." Young Discord:"Alright dearest and thanks again dad." Star Swirled:"Your welcome..and be safe." *Discord opened the door for celestia letting her walk out first and then shut the door walking beside her* Young Celestia:"If this is just the beginning then I don't think were even close to facing whats yet to come." Young Discord:"I think your right on that..and I don't like whats probably coming.." *Discord & Celestia Both headed back to the garden to speak with Sombra and Chrysalis not even aware Delirium was spying on them until they were out of her sight.* Delirium:"Finally those pesky ponies are out of sight now..time to set this plan of mine in motion before others start wandering the halls and ruining my plans." -Delirium would walk into the room that held all the elements securely with the room very dim and no guards in sight as she walked to the glass case that held the elements and soon stood staring at them as she used her magic to break the spell that was keeping them safe, and stared gawking at the elements that laid in their case, pinning her ears back she'd open her mouth and began to sing while walking around the room- Delirium:~They want me in chains.. and for me to change..but I don't dare try to hear their violent words..and I'll no longer bow to her..but am I going insane?..Oh no..just forgotten and breaking away..but is this truly real or a dream?..And should I tell my self this isn't real..?" *Delirium would walk on over placing her hoof against the mirror as she looked at her reflection with the true side of Delirium placing her hoof against the glass in the mirror with tears rolling down her cheeks and slowly fell to her knees with her hoof still against the glass on the opposite side of the mirror* Delirium:~Am I going insane?..Am I crazy..or is this a dream..?..Doesn't matter I have only chaos to bring..and a world to take..oh am I going insane?..Am I crazy.. or is this a dream? They want me in chains..and for me to change..but I don't dare try to hear their violent words..oh I know what to do..now..to put an end to my misery..and take what is rightfully mine..oh am I insane?..Am I crazy or is this a dream?..And though they've thought they've seen the real me..they shall know that they'll only fear me..am I going insane?..~ *Delirium turned and walked to the elements of harmony, levitating a few more of the elements with her horn taking them out of their case, levitating them each on different sides having two elements on her right and two on her left while one just above her almost forgetting about her own element soon carefully levitating hers down on the ground and looked down coldly at it before placing a hoof on it and forced her hoof down putting pressure in her hoof making the element begin to slowly crack in front of her while she kept her hoof on it until it shattered completely and slowly moved her hoof away from the cracked element she had shattered, and started walking to the center of the room* Delirium:~And If they try to fight..I'll just have to end a life..even if they scream it doesn't matter to me..am I going insane?..Am I crazy or is this a dream?..And though they've thought they've seen the real me..they shall know that they'll only fear me.. *The remaining five elements began to glow and a small symbol would appear with them that each represented the pony's cutie mark, within seconds their glow would fade and turn to black, beaming down 5 dark rays upon Delirium, quickly she'd close her eyes unsure of what the elements were doing, slowly the elements would stop beaming down on Delirium and making her open her eyes and look to see what the elements had done, to her surprise the elements had transformed her completely changing how she looked, from her height to her tail and mane with little extra necessity on her back she never use to have before* Delirium:~Am I going insane?..Am I going crazy or is this a dream?.. ~ *Delirium levitated the element of laughter in front of her and grinned after she had stopped singing* Delirium:"It's time I changed things up a bit..starting with discord..this will be fun..and a surprise he'll never forget." Young Celestia:"Is something wrong discord? You've been awfully quiet.." Young Discord:"I..well..actually yes something is wrong.." Young Celestia:"Well what is it?..Your welcome to tell me." Young Discord:"It's just..I feel like were being watched.." Young Celestia:"Watched?..I don't see any one behind us or near us." Young Discord:"I know but it still doesn't change the fact that I still feel were being watched by some pony ya gotta believe me I'm telling the truth Celestia and I'm being completely honest on this." Young Celestia:"Alright..okay..I believe you on this even if I don't fully understand entirely." Young Discord:"Thanks.." *Celestia would holler at Sombra,Chrysalis & Luna who were talking to one another to get their attention to come over to where she and Discord were* *Sombra ,Chrysalis, and Luna looked over and began trotting over to Celestia and Discord* Young Chrysalis:"Hey your back!" Young Sombra:"What took you guys so long?" Young Discord:"We were just having a discussion with Star swirled about a few things and thought we should tell you as well of what we think might be going on with the elements." Young Sombra:"Somethings wrong with the elements?.." Young Chrysalis:"But aren't the elements safe and secure?.." Young Sombra:"Yea..but uh before we stray off topic tell us whats wrong." Young Luna:"I'm guessing you told him then about what I saw earlier right dear sister?" Young Celestia:"Yes..I did and well the elements..or should I say Deliriums element its..its grey and when we asked Star swirled if he knew anything about this even he couldn't find an answer and Deliriums been acting as off as her element has been." Young Discord:"And were not sure what to do.." Young Luna:"Maybe..we should start looking  for  the answers our selves..then." *Chrysalis would look over to the place Delirium was at during the party* Young Chrysalis:"Hey um guys.." Young Discord:"Yea I think that's our only best bet that will figure something out on how to fix all this." Young Chrysalis:"Guys.." Young Sombra:"But where should we start looking first?.." *Chrysalis pinned her ears back and yelled to get her friends attention* Young Chrysalis:"GUYS!" *Everyone would turn to Chrysalis after she had managed to get their attention* Young Discord:"Yea?" Young Luna:"What is it Chrysalis?.." Young Sombra:"Yea Chrysi?" Young Chrysalis:"That's what I've been trying to tell you but..guys wheres Delirium?..Shes not at the spot she was sitting at during the party." Young Discord:"Your right she isn't." Young Luna:"This can't be good..". Young Celestia:"Where could she have gone?.." Young Discord:"Maybe she went home early?.." Young Luna:"Now why would she head home it's still day out." *Discord quickly averted his gaze from Luna's, while puffing his cheeks* Young Discord:"She probably realized she had left the oven on." Young Luna:"Discord..that's not funny." Young Discord:"Was to me." Young Chrysalis:"Well whatever it is we should find her too for all we know something could of happened to her." Young Celestia:"Chrysalis is right..we have to go and find her." Young Luna:"But what if we don't?" Young Discord:"Then will try again until we do." Young Sombra:"Well then what are we doing still standing around lets move it." *The five ponies would all walk back into the castle from the garden* Young Luna:"Do you think will be able to find her,sister." Young Celestia:"I hope so.." Young Chrysalis:"Don't worry I'm sure we will Luna maybe she had a good reason why she left." Young Luna:"Maybe..but I hope your right Chrysalis.." Young Chrysalis:"I hope so..too" Young Sombra:"Why not we split up too cover more ground to find her, Discord Chrysalis you two search the high places." Young Discord:"Aye aye captain!"*Discord pulled out a pirate hat out of know where placing it on his head with pride* Young Sombra:"Right...Luna you search the west hall, Celestia you search the south hall." Young Luna:"What about you?.." Young Sombra:"I'll use a duplicate spell to duplicate my self so I can search the north hall while my duplicate searches the east." Young Celestia:"Sounds like a decent plan..why not we all agree if we can't find anything that we meet up in the center of the castle." Young Chrysalis:"What time?.." Young Celestia:How about around 9pm since its 5 pm right now and will give us enough time to search the castle." Young Discord:"So..in  four hours,right?" *Celestia would only nod to Discord she question with out a word to be said* Young Chrysalis:"Come on Discord let's get to searching see you all in four hours." Young Luna:"Yea cya..and good luck Sombra and Dearest sister Tia." *Luna began to gallop down towards the west hall* Young Celestia:"Remember you all that we meet back at the center of the castle at 9." Young Sombra:"Got it." *As Sombra walked he'd be casting the duplicate spell managing to duplicate him self completely making the duplicate him look almost completely solid and walked up to his duplicate self giving him a command* Young Sombra:"Duplicate your too check the east hall and look for delirium if you don't find anything return to me immediately." *The duplicate would only nod following its masters orders and went on its way to the east hall of the castle* Young Sombra:"Cya later I gotta go check the north hall now." Young Celestia:"Alright but um wait!" *Sombra quickly Stopped in his tracks from heading to the north hall and slowly turn his his body around* Young Sombra:"What is it?.." Young Celestia:"Be safe.." Young Sombra:"Will do." *Sombra galloped off to the hall he said he would check out while his copy ran off aswell while Celestia quietly walked off." Young Chrysalis:"Discord mind I ask you something?..It's not most of anything I've ever asked before but..by any chance are you and Celestia well..an item?" *Discord would be flapping his wings as Chrysalis was while his face reddened* Young Discord:"I well..maybe we haven't really talked about that very much." Young Chrysalis:"But you two seem so close I mean you two were around each other the most at the party after that big..pff cake war."*Chrysalis gave out a small chuckle* Young Discord:"You do have a point there but I don't know maybe she doesn't see me in that way, you know." Young Chrysalis:"I best she does she seems really into you and your so sweet with her come on ya gotta tell her sometime Discord." *What felt like hours of walking and roaming each and almost every hall of hoping to find delirium all the ponies started to give up for the coming evening* Young Luna:"No sign of her down here.." *Feeling hopeless, Luna made a bubble like small screen float in front of her that showed celestia's face* Young Luna:"Any sign of her dear sister?" Young Celestia:"No , not at all I can't find her in the hall way I'm in." Young Luna:"What about Sombra? Did you ask him through the bubbles." Young Celestia:"I already have asked him but even he and his clone have found only empty hall ways." Young Luna:"Well what about Discord, or Chrysalis maybe they- *Before Luna could finish her sister had cut her off from finishing* Young Celestia:"I asked them too and they looked in all the towers even, maybe we should call it a night before we all get lost the castle is like a maze dear sister , tell the others to meet up where we agreed too." Young Luna:"Alright sister.." *Increasing the spell, The bubble screen split into four, one bubble for Discord appeared, another for Chrysalis and the final one Sombra* Young Luna:"Everypony..Sister and I both agree that we should call off the search for today." *Discord tugged on his ears with frustration* Young Discord:"What?! But can't we keep going it's not even close to midnight ..I think." Young Chrysalis:"I agree with them discord..and I'm kinda feeling*Chrysalis yawned*tired..from flying around with no rest." Young Discord:"Oh alright..fine..guess I'm kinda feeling tired too I have to admit." Young Chrysalis:"Will meet you all back at the center of the castle Luna, Chrysalis out." *Chrysalis popped both hers and Discords screen bubbles and grabbed his hoof ,to keep him with her so they wouldn't get seperated in there way back* Young Sombra:"So were calling it quits already?" Young Luna:"I'm afraid so Sombra but only for now perhaps we might find her in the morning besides ''tis getting closer for me to bring out the moon and I need my strength." Young Sombra:"Understood Luna,Sombra out." *Just as Chrysalis had done, Sombra would pop his screen bubble to, heading to the center of the castle just as the others were* *Flapping her wings she let out a sigh before looking at Discord giving him a concerned look* Young Chrysalis:"Discord..your not looking too good.." Young Discord:"I'm fine Chrysalis honest, I feel fine, I am fine nothing to it-- Young Chrysalis:"Discord!!!" *Chrysalis zoomed down to catch discord who had fainted in mid flight, After catching him she'd clap down and carry him on her back walking with a worried look still on her face* Young Chrysalis:"Perhaps..he's just tired*chrysalis looked over at her back where she had placed discord* then again maybe we all are.." *Center of the castle* Young Luna:"Where's Chrysalis and Discord?..." Young Sombra:"I'm not sure but I'm sure their on their way here,just give them a bit of time." Young Celestia:"I don't think you..have to worry I can see them just up ahead from us." Young Chrysalis:"Sorry..if I'm late..Discord fainted and I..well it's kind of hard carrying a pony on my back.." Young Sombra:"Fainted?..That doesn't sound like him at all.." Young Celestia:"Why not we get him to bed, he may just only be exhausted Chrysalis.." Young Luna:"I think we all should head to our rooms, Sister could you come with me to help lower your sun for my moon?.." Young Celestia:"Of course little sister.." Young Luna:"And Sombra could you take discord to his room?" Young Sombra:"consider it already set into motion."*Sombra levitated Discord off Chrysalis walking to the west wing of the castle." Young Chrysalis:"You think Discord will be alright?.. Young Sombra:"He'll Be just fine." *Sombra shouted back to Chrysalis as he wasn't walking* Young Chrysalis:"I hope so.."*Chrysalis said in a sadden voice as she walked on heading to her own room of the castle Young Sombra:"What could of made you faint?..I doubt it'd be from exhaustion due to you being full of energy constantly, there's gotta be a reason for this..perhaps I should take another look around after putting you to bed."*Sombra quietly spoke to Discord who was still asleep* Young Sombra:"And..here we are.."*Sombra opened the door quietly that led into Discords room and walked while levitating Discord now towards the bed ,and laid him down and walked to Discords bed pulling the covers over up to Discords shoulders and placed a hoof on the bed as he sat and looked over at his friend* Young Sombra:"I know you can hear me..even if your not awake right now, so I want you to know were gonna figure this out I promise you Discord..sleep well."*Sombra turned the light off closing the door behind him and headed for his own room* *Looking through the mirror Delirium smirked as she watches sombra's conversation with Discord who was still asleep* Delirium:"Oh I wouldn't have said that if I were you Sombra dear, looks like Discords not the only one being punished tonight." *She'd levitate the element of honesty as she did before with the element of laughter and brought the element to be in front of her as she grinned, pleased with what she was doing,and watched as she was using her magic to break the element of honesty, and within moments later the element would shatter in front of her piece by piece hitting the floor* Delirium:"They wanna interfere..then I'll play their little childish game but my way, and soon they shall fall, what a delight this is such fun, but that game doesn't start till tomorrow, then the real fun begins." -The next morning later- Young Discord:"Boy..what a strange dream I had..everything was all chaotic and the floor was like checkers and some ponies floating without wings."*Discord rubbed his eye letting out a loud yawn as he stretched his front hooves up above his head,even if he was half asleep still, he'd get up from his bed and headed for the bathroom that was in his bedroom and quietly opened the door,leaving it wide open, Discord would turn the fauscet on and splash some water in his face*"Question is how I got into my bed maybe one of the others brought me to my room or maybe one of the guards did--WHAT?!..WHAT?! W-why do I have horns?...a-and my eyes t-their not blue any more..what in equestria is going on..I must be dreaming..but gotta check to be sure."*Discord raised his hoof and slapped him self across the face and gritted his teeth baring the pain*"Nope..definitely not a dream..I gotta tell one of the others about this..."
