//-------------------------------------------------------// A Forgotten Love -by King_Again- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Guards Train With Link(Chapter Two) //-------------------------------------------------------// The Guards Train With Link(Chapter Two) Link wasn't sure why he agreed to it in the first place. He wasn't thrilled at the idea of training the guards. He was human and they were horses. He sighed and went to the training grounds, seeing the guards train was...Hard to see. His sword was resting in the scabbard, which was on his back, he took a step forward and saw clearly how they were doing.  Sighing, Link stopped the guards by yelling. The guards made their way over and started to listen to their trainer. "You want to protect this land?" Link asked, "With your life?" "SIR! YES SIR!" The guards answered. "Then each of you will need to train ten times harder!" Link said, crossing his arms, "Show me what you can do!" The guards nodded and went to work, Link watched each one carefully and found that...They need to work a lot harder. He sighed and watched the last one before seeing how stronger he was then the others. Weird. The ones before we're at the same strength level, how could this one be different? The ones he was training were newbies, was this one not? "You there," Link started, the guard turning around, "Your stronger than the rest, how are you still a newbie?" "Well...I failed the fight against Shining Armor, the captain of the guards, so many times. We need to win the fight before we move on to protecting the Princesses." The guard lowered his head, Link felt bad for him. "Come fight me." The guard raised his head, many guards looking at Link when he said that, "I want to see where you go wrong." The guard nodded and went with Link, they were watched by the rest of the guards. Link took out his sword and the guard held a spear with his magic. Link, also had a shield, which was not easily broken. They raced towards each other, the guard's spear was blocked by the shield, so it couldn't hit Link. The master sword went towards the guard, but he had moved out of the way until.... Wack The guard fell on the ground, Link standing tall. It wasn't the sword that hit him, it was the shield. Link knew what the problem was, the guard could dodge the first attack but not the second. "I see now," Link said, helping the guard up, "You can dodge the first attack but not the second. Dodging all hits is required. You have the first hit nailed down but just not the second." "Oh." the guard felt embarrassed, "My bad." "No worries, I was like that." Link admitted, "I've been doing this for so long. Couple of my friends were kidnapped and I went to save them. Took a long time before I could find them but I did." "You think that's going to help you Human?" A voice said, Link turned around and groaned. Shining Armor. "What do you want?" Link asked, a hand on the hilt of his sword. "I thought you were told to guard the Castle?" "I'm on break," Shining answered, "And not dodging all hits is required to move on to be a guard. You need strength and power." "That's not it." Link said, "Being a guard doesn't mean you MUST have strength, power, and all of that. But you must need to remain strong and brave. Fight for what's yours." Shining Armor rolled his eyes and walked over to the guard, Link fought with. But Link was fast and moved the guard before he could get a beating. Shining gave him a confused look, but Link knew better. "Your wrong in the head when it comes to being a guard." Link told the captain, "I wouldn't be surprised if you were ripped from your title." "Twilight won't let that happen Human." "How do you know that?" Link asked, "You don't know what she could do. I wonder how you would act if she ripped you of your title?" Shining's eyes narrowed, he frowned at went back inside the Castle. Many newbies cheered for Link, and the guard thanked him for standing up to Shining Armor. "You think we were right to let him train them?" The dark furred Alicorn asked, "I mean, he just stood up to Shining Armor." "We should just let this roll out Luna." The white furred one said, "Besides, he's actually very good at training the guards." "Yeah, he is." The two looked at each other and then at the youngest of them. Twilight was looking at Link and sighed, knowing how he stood up to her older brother was...Brave and confusing. No one dared to stand up to him when he was training the guards, and no one questioned his ways of training. But Link...He was less tough with the newbies, he was nice to them and knew how to treat them. "Someone has a crush on Link." The two elders Alicorns teased. "No I don't," Twilight said, looking towards them, "I just can't believe he stood up to Shining Armor." The sisters looked at each other and sighed. Twilight went back to looking out the window and watched as the scene played out being the guards and Link. She sighed when she heard the doors open and close and right on cue, Shining Armor came up beside her. Grumpy. "I can't believe he's doing my job!" Shining Armor spat out, "I want him gone!" "Shiny," Twilight began, "The guards seem happy with him around, and it's not that bad!" "Says you," Shining Armor said, "Twi, you don't know him well. He's not our kind, much less a pony! So how are we suppose to trust him?!" "By giving him a chance!" Shining groaned, damn him and his trustingly little sister. She would do anything for others, no matter what. But Link was different and he knew it. He was going to prove it. To everyone. //-------------------------------------------------------// Under The Moonlight(Chapter Three) //-------------------------------------------------------// Under The Moonlight(Chapter Three) He never saw himself as one, as a hero, as a living being. He saw himself as a god, he was called that many times by his kind. He wasn't used to it. He called himself a god because he wasn't afraid to die for others, wasn't scared about death. He was scared about fighting at first, but he got used to the feeling about fighting, hold a sword and a shield, riding a horse, and so much more.  He would find himself each night, before he arrived here, staring at the night, at the stars, looking for his parents. He found himself doing just that one night, staring at the stars. It was like he was waiting to see the undead once more and see the very one that gave him lessons about fighting. But he never did see him again. He wouldn't speak, the moon was shining brightly, as if it was saying time to head in and rest up. He didn't need sleep, he didn't need rest...He need to think. To think about what was happening with his life, to think about his future in Hyrule if he ever went back. Would he be able to see Zelda once more? The very person he saved from the king of evil? To see his friends, to see Epona. His beloved Epona. The one he raised, was born with. He missed her more than anything. But she was in care with whoever was with her right now. He never got why he was called Human. He was Hylian. There was a difference, not a huge one, but a difference between the two races. He never told them though, he wasn't sure how they would react. He wasn't afraid to find out, but it would be nice telling at least one of them. He saw a shadow under the moonlight and looked up. Something was flying, he didn't have anything on him except his shield and sword so he had no other weapons. Until the thing landed, his worries vanished when he saw the dark furred Princess. "Oh, it's just you." Link sighed, "Thought you were someone else." "Really now?" Luna asked, Link nodding, "Is something wrong?" "Nothing really, just thinking about stuff." "I see," Luna started, "Well, why are you out here? I would assume you were inside." "I used to do this all the time when I was younger," Link admitted, "It calmed me and made think about things I would be less worried about." Luna nodded in understanding, she sat beside Link as he told her about his childhood. But he never told her about his parents, he had no idea who they were, he only knew about their deaths. He would stop at hard parts to explain and find words to say, in the end he would be looking at the night sky. He looked over each star and tried to find his parents but couldn't, he sighed and looked at the night Princess. "I thought you would be inside sleeping." Link said, he heard Luna sigh, "What? What's wrong?" "I'm awake during the night," Luna told him, "I raise the Moon and set it each night." "Oh, sorry." Link apologized, not knowing, "I didn't know. I'm not used to this kind of thing." "It's alright." "If you don't mind me asking, do you ever feel lonely at night?" Link asked, "Y'know how sometimes others do? You don't have to answer!" "....Sometimes I do. But other times I don't." "Oh, well it's the same for me each night." Link admitted, "When I was saving Hyrule by myself, I would feel lonely, scared I wouldn't make it, but I always found myself staying alive. Somehow." "It seems like you were strong and made it through," Luna said, smiling, "Must've been hard for you." Link nodded, thinking back to when he had to fight the king of evil. He couldn't believe that he won and saved Hyrule, saved Zelda and so many others. He was glad that he made it through, still had his life. Then he remembered the Triforce of Courage, the very piece of the Triforce that he had. He took a look at his hand and found it, he smiled and looked at Luna. "Y'know, even though I'm far from my own kind, I still feel like I'm at home." "Really?" Luna asked, "Nice to know that. We saw you train the guards earlier. You were much kinder on them than Shining Armor ever was." "Seriously? No wonder why they looked scared." Link frown at the thought of Shining Armor pushing the newbies to the edge, "Well, I would be happy to do it again." He saw a small smile on the Princess' face, he looked at the sky and for a moment, he swore he saw his parents. He looked at the Princess and saw her sad face, when he was about to ask, she told him that she need to go. He didn't get why and yet he wanted to cheer her up. Link got up and went back inside the Castle, he didn't talk to anyone. He would see many guards going in for the night and he soon found himself outside of two big doors. The throne room doors. He sighed and walked away from them, he walked around the Castle until two guards lead him somewhere he could sleep. He was use to sleeping in his clothes, so he did just that. Maybe being here wouldn't be bad as he thought. //-------------------------------------------------------// Hunting Words From Shining Armor(Chapter Four) //-------------------------------------------------------// Hunting Words From Shining Armor(Chapter Four) When morning came, Link didn't want to raise from the bed. But when he heard the door open, he groaned and put a pillow over his face. Muttering something to the one waking him up, clearly that didn't work since the sunlight shined through the window. Making him sigh and get up. He saw white and blue. He frowned. Shining god damn Armor! He growled and got up, putting his sword on his back with his shield covering it. Fixing his hair and brushing his teeth, putting on his hat, he walked out. Seeing many guards waved to him and smile, he returned the favour in the same way. This would be a long day of training the guards. On his way there, though, he saw Luna. He smiled and gave her a wave, not seeing a wall. He just about hit it, which made him frown and he kicked it instead. Once in the training grounds, Shining Armor was watching with Twilight. He growled at him. Link had many guards line up and fight him, but one of them was the very same guard he had trained yesterday. He smiled and fought him. But in the middle of the fight, Shining came in and kicked Link on the ground. "Hey!" Link yelled, "The hell!? What did you do that for!?" "Shut up Human!" Link growled at his respond, "You have no right to be training them!" "Actually Shiny, he does." They both turned to Twilight, "You HAVE no right to treat him like that." Link found himself smiling at Twilight's statement, but Shining Armor was having none of it. He was going to prove that Link was nothing! Wasn't a hero! And much more! "But he's out of place!" Link froze, did Shining Armor really just say that? "What kind of parents raise their kid like that!?" No. No. He didn't just say 'parents'! "I mean, he's parents must be some kind of idiots!" "...." Link said nothing, he was hurt. He never met his parents before and now they were being called idiots!? "...." "What's the matter Human!?" Shining said, raising his voice, "Got nothing to say?" "My parents died. I never met them." That was all Link could say, shocking many guards. "So...How can you call them idiots?" "Shiny," Twilight began, "You went way to far. You don't even think about what your going to say, you just assume the worst." Link didn't move, he couldn't even think right. He got up, put his sword away, and left the training grounds. He didn't want to hear anything from him or anyone else right now. He stopped and looked to his right, seeing the two elder princesses, he frowned and gave them a death glare. He ran out of the castle and didn't stop when he heard his name being called. He's parents must be some kind of idiots! The words ran through his mind like a lighting bolt, replaying over and over again. He put his hands over his ears, wishing the words would stop and leave him be. But they didn't. He didn't care how long he ran, or where he went, he just wanted to be far away from that hell as possible! He couldn't run for much longer, so he stopped when he reached a forest. He started to breathe heavily as he sat down under a tree. "Far, far, from that hell hole." Link muttered to himself, "No one makes fun of my parents! But...I can't do anything! Me against magic? Sure, I went up against magic before, but not that kind of magic!" "Way to go Shining!" "You made him run!" "Can't believe you!" "Exile him!" "He doesn't need us!" "Let him defend this kingdom ALONE!" Twilight sighed as many guards fought each other, siding with one and another. She looked at her brother in the middle of the circle, the other princesses coming out to the training grounds. Their faces with a frown, Shining looked scared. And that wasn't normal! Twilight was just as mad as her fellow Princesses. "Shining Armor!" Celestia spoke, getting everyone attention, "Care to explain why we saw Link running away?" "Um..." Shining stuttered, "I made him....Mad? Yeah! Mad! I made him mad!" "More like sad." A guard said, getting a glare from Twilight. "Just saying." Twilight glared at her brother, feeling ashamed of him. Never had she seen him like this.  Shining could feel each set of eyes of every guard and princess. He was in deep trouble. Trouble that wouldn't be dealt with so easy, but hard and mean like. He gulped and took a step forward to his sister and the other princesses. "I can explain!" He pleaded, "Just please don't take my title away!" "Why?" Twilight asked, "We could." "Twi! Please! Don't say things like that!" "But we can Shining Armor." Celestia said, giving Shining a glare of death, "And we won't refuse to either. You don't have a say in this." At this moment, Shining could actually feel his stomach tightening and feeling sick. He hoped they wouldn't take his title away but he really had no say in this at all! So whatever they did, he couldn't say no to. But if he did, then he would end up in a cell. So, not his best day so far out of his life. Whatever they choose, is what I have to live with. Shining Armor thought to himself, waiting for the answer to come. Hoping it wouldn't be so bad. //-------------------------------------------------------// Link Remembers The Past(Chapter Five) //-------------------------------------------------------// Link Remembers The Past(Chapter Five) He couldn't think straight, nor did he want to. The words still circling in his head, hunting him as he went on. The rain poured on him as he took each step. Nothing was right for him. Not one thing. At times like this he wished to be alone with Colin or someone else. But they weren't here, they were save in their own homes. With their families. He didn't even know if Epona was alright, and that worried him the most. He looked at the sky, sighing as a rain drop hit the ground, almost hitting him. "They're having a much better life than me." Link told himself, "Unlike me, they HAVE parents to love them, help them, and much more." Another rain drop hit the ground, "Unlike me, who has no one." "Link! Link! Wanna play?" "Sorry Colin! I'm busy right now! Maybe later, okay?" "Okay....See you later than!" Colin. The boy. The boy who wanted to be like him. He was a big brother now, Link smiled at the thought of Colin playing with his baby sibling. So many thoughts raced through his head, many which included siblings and his friends. He hated the fact that he was here and not there. Not there to see the baby. Not see Colin's proud face. "Then again, he's probably playing with the kid right now." "Link! Link! Can we play now?" "Yeah! I finished up work." "Awesome!" Link smiled at the memory. Such happy times. Happy times before evil came. Link stopped and looked at the sky, seeing how it stopped raining. He sighed. Why did he have to end up here? Why not someone else? Why was he always picked for handling danger? It didn't make any sense to him. "What makes me special?" Link asked himself, "I'm like everyone else. Aren't I?" It was never answered. Well, right now it wasn't. He had no clue if he was different or not. He was sure that it won't be answered but something answered it for him. "You are different Link." He jumped and turned to see...Twilight? "Your so much different than us." "That doesn't help Twilight." Link told the princess, "Nothing will ever help. So just go back to your...Brother." "Shining Armor has been dealt with." Twilight noted, "He's no longer the captain of the guards." "Then who is?" Link asked. "We haven't decided on that yet," Twilight said, "We wanted your opinion." "My opinion about who you choose?" Link said, confused. Twilight nodded, "Well, that guard I was about to fight is pretty good." "Come back Link," Twilight told him, Link's eyes widen, "We need you back. Plus, the guards want to see you again." "You'll come back right? Safe and sound?" "I will Ilia. I promise, I will." "Thank you. And don't worry about us, we'll be fine." Safe and sound. Ilia. He'd forgotten about her. She was the last one, he'd found when looking for the kids. She was also the one to lose her memory. But luckily, she regained it. "If I come back with you," Link began, "Shining Armor won't say anything about my parents. Promise? Or else, I will kill him." "Promise." Link sighed and started to head back with the Princess, feeling like he was making a mistake. But he wouldn't change his mind about anything. This was his moment to see how Shining Armor would react to him being there once more. "Twilight, " Link started, "How did the others react to me leaving?" "Celestia and Luna were pretty mad at Shining Armor, but all in all, they were shocked to see you leave."  Twilight told him. "Well that sounds...Nice. I think." "NO!" Shining Armor said, "W-Why!?" "You made him run away, you weren't nice to him," Celestia went on, "And most of all, you aren't giving him a chance!" Shining Armor looked at princesses him surprise, they took away his title. He was left with nothing. How would his family react to this? How would he live with this!? "H-How am I going to tell my parents about this?" Shining Armor stuttered, then he saw Twilight and Link, "Twilight, please tell me you don't agree with this!" "I do agree with this Shiny." Twilight told her brother, "I'm the one who told them to." Link looked at the siblings and watched them fight about something stupid. "Your fighting over something stupid." Link said, breaking up the fight, "Siblings shouldn't fight." "What do you know about siblings?" Shining Armor asked, "Bet you know nothing." "Knock it off," Link warned, "I'm not here to fight. I'm here to find a way home and help out with the guards." "That tells me nothing Human." "I'M NOT A HUMAN!" Link shouted, covering his mouth with his hands afterward. "Oops." "If your not, then what are you?" Luna asked. "I'm hylian. Humans and hylians are almost the same, but not quite." Link explained. The princesses nodded, but Shining Armor glared at Link. He hated him, he was the reason why his title got taken away. He was going to do ANYTHING to get rid of him. And he meant anything. Whatever it took to make Link leave, Shining Armor was going to do. //-------------------------------------------------------// Who do you like? (Chapter Six) //-------------------------------------------------------// Who do you like? (Chapter Six) Link walked around the castle, watching every guard from a window, watching how Shining Armor acted towards the guards. He was no longer the captain, but a regular guard. Link frowned when he saw Shining fight a guard with his full strength. He wasn't getting it right, was he? He was suppose to show the princesses he was good and would be a good choice to remake him the captain again. Nothing Shining said was ever thought about to Link. He was different than them, yes, but was that such a crime? He was a hero. He lived to protect the innocent. Then at that moment, he saw Shining Armor. He sighed and walked up to him, with a brave face too. "Shining Armor." Link began, "I need to ask you something." "What?" Okay, he was sounding mad, "What do you want!?" "Why do you hate me?" "What?" "Why do you hate me?" Link repeated. "I...Don't know." Shining said, honestly, "I just don't like you for some reason." "Shining, look, " Link started, "I may not get why you don't like me. But there must be something we like." "Do you like...Training?" "Not much." "Swords?" "Yeah!" "So we both like swords." Shining said. "Yeah, we do." Link agreed, "Do you like...Um..." "Um...." "Northern Lights!" They both said in harmony, they looked at each other in shock. "You like the Northern Lights?" Link asked. "YOU like them?" Shining asked. Link nodded, and then Shining did. Okay, so they both liked the Northern Lights. That's a started. "Which Princess do you like more?" Shining asked. "Night." "Love." They looked at each other and stared. Both felt their cheeks heating up. Did they must admit who they like? "D-Did you say love?" Link asked. "Did you say night?" Shining asked him. "Yes." They both said. Twilight made her way to the bedroom of Princess Luna. There was something on Twilight's mind that she wanted to ask Luna about. Something that had Link in it. Knocking on her door, Twilight stood back, waiting for Luna's answer. "Come on in." Taking a deep breath, Twilight opened the door and walked in. She saw Luna sitting on her bed, reading something. "Luna, I need to ask you something." Twilight said. "And what would that be?" "Well, I want to know what you think about Link." "Why would you want to know that?" "Well, I see how he looks at you." Twilight sounded...Off, "And I want to know how you feel about him." "Well, I guess I like him." Luna answered honestly, "He's a good guy." Twilight had fury in her eyes, but didn't show it. "Nice to know." Okay, what was up with her? "But I think he doesn't like you that much." "And how do you know that?" Luna asked, Twilight didn't say anything, "Did you talk to him?" Twilight shook her head, "But-" "So you have NO proof of this." Luna had cut Twilight off. It was crazy how Link and Shining went from enemies to friends. Both had found out that they made more in common then they thought. Twilight wasn't happy with how Link looked at Luna, Shining had tried to tell her different but that didn't work. Link had spent more time with Luna than anyone would think and he gave her presents, like he would do for Zelda. "Twi, you need to let this go." Shining said, "Trying to kill Luna won't make Link love you." "How do you know?" Twilight asked. "Cadance liked someone else before me." Shining admitted, "And look how it turned out. We're married." "But you're never at the empire." "Because she told me to help out with Link being here." Shining said. "So? It'll work." "No, it won't!" "It will!" "Twilight, listen to me! Doing won't do anything but say your a murder!" "How will this say I'm a murder?" "Okay, maybe it won't. But it'll get you exiled! You how protective Celestia is of her sister!" "She won't know." "She will!" "How?" "Twilight, they pass each other every night and day! Celestia goes and checks on her sister when she sleeping in the day! Right before the day court starts!" Twilight looked at her brother, dumbfound. How could she forget that? It was important that Luna is in her own bedroom when she kills her! She would cover up the wounds with a blanket! "Twilight. She also goes right up to her." Shining reminded, "She doesn't like the fact she lost her for a thousand years, and she afraid she'll lose her again!" Twilight stopped, "Oh..." "You might be a princess, but you can't move the sun or moon! Only they can!" "Okay, I'll talk to Link instead of killing Luna." "Thank you!" Shining watched as Twilight went to go found Link. He sighed and knew this wouldn't end well for Twilight. He was told by Link that he was in love with Luna. No one else.  But what could you do? Nothing. Love was love. As Cadance put it. It wasn't Link's fault that he had fallen for the night princess, he just...Did. //-------------------------------------------------------// Nothing Can Change What The Heart Wants(Chapter Seven) //-------------------------------------------------------// Nothing Can Change What The Heart Wants(Chapter Seven) Link walked towards the Lunar chambers and took a deep breath, okay, so maybe it wasn't the best time to talk to her about something that was on his mind. But it would have to be someday wouldn't it? Link looked over the hug doors and raised his fist and knocked on the door. Hearing the words 'come in.' He walked in, shutting the doors behind him. He had to admit, the room looked cool. With it's nicely dark blue walls, with little spots of yellow, which resembled the stars, and one silver-white outline, he had guessed that was the moon. He chuckled and walked towards the night Princess. He gave a bow and stood up right. "Hello." He said, smiling, "I need to talk to you about something Luna." He could hear the princess give a light laugh. As much as Link loved hearing her laugh, now was not the time. "Speak hero of time."  Luna said, walking towards Link and sitting down. "Well...It's about Twilight Sparkle." He would've guess that Twilight liked him, but he was wondering how to break it to her..."I've been wondering about what's been happening between us. And well..." "Your confused about how to break it to her that you don't like her in that way..." "Yes." "Link, I'm sure if you would just say it, she would understand." Link winced, "But how? We're good friends. Shining Armor and I have gotten along these days, and I don't want to break his little sister's heart. I feel like if I did, then he would hate me for it." Luna stayed quiet for a moment and started laughing, catching Link off guard. What was so funny? "What's so funny Luna?" Link asked, cocking his head to the side. "You really think that Shining Armor would hate you for breaking Twilight's heart? Link, he wouldn't hate you. But he would be mad for a while but he would understand if you did. You don't see Twilight like that, you see someone else like that. Don't you?" "Err...Well, yes." Link admitted, "And she's beautiful and adorable." Luna laughed again and gave Link a friendly nuzzle and went on with her work. The nuzzle made Link blush but he didn't show it to her. He bow again and took his leave. Okay, now just to find Twilight and tell her. Twilight had made her way over to the Lunar chambers, she had heard about Link heading that way. On her way there, she had bumped into him. He smiled and didn't look to happy about something. Something was wrong. And Twilight was going to find out what. "You don't look happy about something, Link," Twilight said, "Is something wrong?" "You could say that." "Tell me what's wrong." "Twilight...I need to tell you something." Twilight had stopped him right there. She need to tell him something important first. "First, I want to tell you something Link." "Go ahead. The Princess should always speak first." Twilight took a deep breath, "For the past few weeks that you've been here, I've been feeling something that's more than friendship. And I wanted to tell you that...I now know what that is." Link winced, "And that is?" His voice deepened with guilt as to what he was going to tell her after. "Link, I...I love you." Twilight answered, "For a while, I've been confused as to what I've been feeling around you. So, I ask you now, do you feel the same way?" Damn it...I'm going to feel bad... Link thought to himself before taking a breath and answering Twilight's question. "Twilight, we're great friends and you know that, but..." "But what?" "But...I don't like you like that. I'm sorry Twilight." Link said, walking away already, leaving Twilight. He felt bad, but it needed to be done. He didn't like her like that. He liked her as a friend. "Twilight?" A voice said, Twilight looked over her shoulder and saw Celestia. "Are you alright?" "No." Twilight said, looking down, "I need to be alone." That was the last thing Twilight said before vanishing to her own castle. "What happened to her Sister?" Luna asked, landing beside Celestia. "I didn't mean to fly in the castle but I didn't want to get in the way of whatever happened." "I think...I think Link broke Twilight's heart." He did ask me how to break it to her... Luna thought to herself, Didn't think he would actual do it though...He's too soft and sweet to do anything like that. "So you broke her heart!?" A very angry Shining Armor yelled at Link, "Thought you were nice!" "I am! It's just..." Link broke, he slid down the wall and sat on the ground, "I don't like her like that...I thought she would understand and take it easy." "I can understand your confusion, Link, but she loved you!" "Yet I love someone else." "Who?" "Don't you remember? I said I liked the night princess." Shining stood still, oh yeah, he did say that. He must of forgotten about that. "Are you going to tell her?" Shining asked, "Pretty sure she would be happy." "You're kidding. Me and a princess?" "You could've ended up with one but you turned that one down." Shining reminded, "There still another chance y'know?" "I think I might." //-------------------------------------------------------// Only One Can Remain(Chapter Eight) //-------------------------------------------------------// Only One Can Remain(Chapter Eight) Discord wouldn't admitted it, but he didn't like Link, he hated him. Link was everything that Discord wanted to be. Loved, a hero, adored, and more. Somehow Link had two princesses to fall for him, two that Discord liked. But there was also Fluttershy. Sweet Fluttershy. But now was not the time to think about her! It was time to make his plan go into action. "Well..." Discord started, surprising many, "This is the oh-so great hero of time?" Link took out his sword and held it up, defending everyone. "I wouldn't attack me..." "Who are you!?" Link spoke, frowning, "And what do you want from us!?" "I'm Discord, nice to meet you!" Discord waved and smirked, "And I'm here because someone owes me something." No one owed him anything, he just made it seemed like it. "Isn't that right...Twilight?" Link winced and look at Twilight, "You owe him something?" "No. I don't!" Twilight said, "I ever even went to him once!" Discord laughed and landed in front of Link. "She's lying, she does owe me something. Something important." "Get out! I can tell she isn't lying!" Link spat, "I'm not afraid to fight you!" Shining Armor watched from the sides, watching Link talk. He frowned and walked straight towards them. "I'll handle this." His voice sounded cold and full of rage. "My sister owes you nothing Discord! Link and I won't even think twice about fighting you!" Link stood his ground and nodded, pulling his sword up again. He didn't move when Discord struck, he knew better, plus Shining did have a shield of magic to protect them with. "I'll handle it." Link said, before running off to fight Discord. "Link! Wait!" Link didn't listen, he jumped and aimed for Discord. His sword only made a large scar on Discord's arm before he was sent flying into a wall. "Oww..." "Link!" Shining yelled before attacking Discord again. It wasn't long before the battle was over, Shining had scars on his body but was protecting Link, who was passed out and bleeding. Discord was bleeding but it wasn't serious. Everyone just stared at them in shock, Twilight kept her eyes on Link and her brother while Luna and Celestia's eyes were on Discord and Shining Armor. "That's enough!" Celestia's voice rang through everyone ears like metal, "Discord, go home! And never come back here!" "Ouch..." "NOW!" "Okay, okay, I'm going!" And that was it. Discord was gone. Shining and Twilight had helped Link get into the hospital, the doctor said he was going to be fine but might needed to stay out of any battle for a while. "This is one crazy day..." Shining said to himself. It had been only a few days since Link was out of the hospital and was feeling much better. The foals loved playing with him as he told the stories of when he was battling the king of evil and how he needed to get there first. "You're feeling better." Luna said as she walked up to him. "And you're acting as if nothing happened." "Though hard to." Link commented, "And it's not like you got smashed into a wall." "I've been smashed into the moon." "...Okay, point taken." Luna laughed and sat by Link, who looked at her with confusion. "What happened actually? Why were you smashed into the moon?" Link asked, having a laugh at the thought. "Just some poor mistakes and bad choices." "Been there." Link and Luna laughed and talked some more, that was until Shining and Twilight came up to them. Link felt his heart stiffen at the sight of Twilight, ah crap, was she here to talk to him about the rejection? "Twilight wanted to talk with you Link." Shining said. "Thanks man." Link thanked Shining before leaving with Twilight. What did she want now? Was she still going to try and be with him? Even after he rejected her? That wouldn't make sense unless she was that in love with him. "Okay, Twilight, what did you want to talk about?" Link asked, looking at the alicorn. "I just wanted to say...Thank you. Thank you for believing me when I said I never went to Discord for help." "No worries Twilight. That's what friends are for." //-------------------------------------------------------// The Hero of Time(Chapter One) //-------------------------------------------------------// The Hero of Time(Chapter One) He didn't know how he got there, or did he want to. But he woke up there, he was confused and didn't know the land at all until he found himself in a cell. He sat there and waited to be let out, he had his sword outside of the cell and he just looked at his weapon. The Master Sword. The very sword he was blessed with. He sighed and waited for someone to come.  His green tunic was covered in dirt but he didn't care about that. What he did care about was where the hell he was at the moment! He heard the door to the dungeon, he looked to see...Horses? "Do you know why your here human?" A white horse asked, Link looked at him, "Well? Do you!?" Link winced, "No." "...Get out," The horse said, opening the ceil door, "Your going to see the princess!" Link raised an eyebrow, there was a Princess? Was it Zelda? Link hoped it was, that meant they could get out of here! He stepped out of the cell and was lead to some sort of room before heading somewhere he didn't know.  Was he in a castle? There was guards here...So maybe he was. But he wasn't sure. "Could you at least tell me what I'm doing here?" Link asked, noticing his sword being carried by another horse, "Hey! Be careful with that!" The guard rolled his eyes. "You have the right to be quiet!" The captain said, "So shut up and listen to what we tell you!" He heard that so many times by now. "And we don't take orders from prisoners." "Well guess what," Link started, "I'm the Hero of Time! So you should be listening to me!" Link heard the guards laugh and he growled lowly. His inner wolf showing. He felt each of the guard's eyes on him, he didn't care. He wasn't raised by his parents, in fact, he didn't know what happened to them. But he was told that they had died. His father died protecting his mother, and his mother by giving birth. But he knew that they watched over him, and were proud of him. It wasn't long until they reach big doors, that reminded him of Hyrule Castle. He was pushed inside of the doors, locking eyes with everyone in the room. A throne at the end, with a white horse with wings and a horn? Two others just like that looked at him. He looked at them with confusion and a bit with fury. "Move it." The captain said, Link obeyed, "You'll be lucky if the Princesses let you live." "Shut up you," Link fought back, "I don't take orders from your kind!" Before the captain could do anything, the biggest of the horses rose and walked over to him. Link looked straight into it's eyes, not going to be nice to this animal. "...What's your name?" The Princess asked, Link not saying anything to her, "Well?" "...." Link didn't say anything for a moment, "It's Link. Hero of Time. Saviour of Hyrule." He heard the guards laugh until they took notice of the Princess's expression. She noticed the Sword and told the guard to bring it forward. Link panicked. "Don't do anything with that!" He shouted, "That's mine! I was blessed with that! I earned it." The Princess sighed, "Relax Link, I'm only going to take a look at it." Link watched as his sword was taken out and looked at. The purple handle was nice and shiny, the Triforce on the sword was able to be seen. He noticed many guards were surprised and wanted to hold it and test it but the Princess had other plans. "Link," She started, "Come get your sword." He sighed with relief, "Thank you." The moment he grabbed it, it shined with light. He raised it up and dust formed around him, the dust moved and he smiled. But that smiled faded when he remembered Midna. He was expecting to see her but he wasn't going to. "Put the sword away human." The captain said, making Link frown. "Easy Shining Armor," The Princess said, defending Link, "You have no right to treat him like that. From what I saw, it looks like the sword truly does belong to him and only responds to him." "It does," Link remarked, "It belonged to me when I found it and proved myself as a hero." "Hero?" Shining Armor asked, feeling like he was joking, "Your no hero. Twilight's a hero. She saved Euqestira so many times!" "Well, I've been a hero longer. I would save many from death, I fought monsters that were ten times my size!" Link argued, "I fought the king of evil himself! I fought monsters, saved villagers and helped out with problems." "No different from what Twilight does." Shining Armor spoke, his younger sister coming in between the two. "Alright that's enough!" Twilight said, Link looking at the purple horse, "I'm Twilight Sparkle. Princess of Friendship." Link looked at the youngest Princess and rolled his eyes, making Shining Armor growled and shot some magic at Link. But he dodge it, only to surprise Shining. "I had way more training than you think." Link said, "Truth be told, I wasn't trained. I learned on my own." Shining Armor stared at the Human and clamed himself down, Link just smirked before bowing to the Princesses, including the other one when she walked up. Most guards were surprised that he knew he had to bow, but Twilight said it wasn't need. "Link, would you like to train some of our guards?" The dark fur princess asked, "We won't force you." "Sure." Shining's eyes widen. Oh no! He was suppose to train them! Not Link! This couldn't be good!
