Calling All the Monsters

Lamia Dash

Previous Chapter

You frown as you walk into the yard. It’s not an especially cold day out today, no rain, no snow, even clear skies. That’s of course part of the problem, especially when its been that way for a week now.

A few steps take you to a set of wooden doors set into the ground. For most places, it would be a wine cellar, or an extra way out of the basement. Instead, it’s just another room for one of the types of girls you can keep, whether they be bats, spiders, or…

Snakes. A lamia to be specific. She was fun to be around, sure, but also a handful, though that does have its perks… You shake your head rapidly, trying not to focus on such things before you knock onto the doors. “Rainbow? Are you in there?”

After about five minutes, and two more knocks, you open the doors with a sigh. You know she’s fine down here, sure, but she’ll normally respond at least. Not just take her food from the kitchen when no one’s there. It just wasn’t like her.

Nor was to be curled up at the back of the large cave that was down here. The workers had complained a lot when it was installed, as it required going down almost two stories worth of stairs, and then building a wide central area and four adjoining rooms. Since Rainbow was the only one here though, she liked to lounge in the central area, usually sprawled out in the central area, or getting ready to wrap you in her coils when she heard you coming down.

But now she had her coils wrapped around herself, hiding everything other than her tail, which you usually wished she’d do, but this was the one time where some of her habits were acceptable.

You step closer, the crease in your brow growing with each step. He’d walked in on her sleeping many times before, having to wake her up for one thing or another when she’d overslept. Then her vibrant, multicolored tail would stay still, never moving, and the prism-like scales would keep to whatever rainbow they were set as. They gave her away though, as she shifted her tail, fidgeting from your presence and changing the colors slightly each time. “Rainbow, are you okay?”

Whatever response you get is too muffled to make out, and for perhaps the first time since she came three months ago, you have to sit down next to her, instead of being forced to. You lay a hand on her scales, whispering to the center of her mass, “Hey, it’s just me. What’s wrong?”

A head poked up out of the coils, her bright rainbow hair now in view as she looks at you. You give her a smile, but she just ducks her head back down. “Rainbow, it’s safe. You can tell me anything.”

The eye came back up before she finally pushed herself out of her own body. Just as always, you can’t help but take in a sharp breath, otherwise you might lose it. The rest of your tenants are voluptuous girls with tits at least the size of tangerines, if not larger, but Rainbow… she was different. Her torso matched her tail, almost entirely flat, smooth, and glistening with its blue beauty.

And then the most preposterous thing came out of the confident, one of a kind snake. “Why do you bother with me?”

You reach out, shaking your head as you try to wrap your arms around her, but it’s brought with a hard push as she shakes her head. “No! I know what you’ll say, but I want the truth!” Her fangs were bared now, even as her body shook. “I’m a failure. I can’t keep a job. I barely get by in my classes, if I am, and even if I did pass them, what am I supposed to do with this?”

Her tail came up, before slamming into the ground, shaking the underground home with its force. To be fair, you always knew that Rainbow’s anatomy did cause her problems. The others were mostly humanoid, with legs and arms, but the lamia form meant that they faced a lot more problems than the average monster.

It wasn’t a reason for this though. “We will find you something, Rainbow. It’ll just take time to figure out something that works with your body. I promise.”

Rainbow glanced down, as if unable to meet your eyes while she stayed stubborn, as you knew this wouldn’t be the end of it. It never was.

But then, her tail curls around your foot as she sighs. “Look, I… I know you probably have agreements with the government, and you even said you weren’t going to ever take advantage of one of us, but…” Rainbow Dash looked down, but the red on her cheeks were impossible to miss.

When she looked back up, her hair blocking parts of her eyes as she whispered, “Would you please sleep with me? I could really use someone I can… I can say I’m as close as family or… or maybe more right now.”

First, a wave of shame runs through you, before you dismiss it. What happened with the others was their choice, and your say in it had been… limited. You hadn’t taken advantage of them. They were seeking fun to show how close they were to you, or to have fun with a part of their life.

Rainbow on the other hand was wrong in doing this, and while her sleek, petite body would be amazing… “No. I don’t need to sleep with you to be that.”

Rainbow Dash of course didn’t take well to this, but again, you were used to this sort of thing out of the bratty snake. “First you’ll yell at me how I’m being an idiot, and how wonderful whatever it was you were offering or wanted is. I’ll rebuttal with all of the cons, like the emotional scarring that sleeping with someone just because you hope they’ll make you happy that way will do. You’ll deny reason, probably even try to use your habitual nudity to your advantage,” you stop long enough to grab the tip of her tail, which had been making its way towards your leg, “but I’ll do something outlandish to make it obvious I don’t care.”

“And then, after I figure out whatever stupid thing to do, you’ll laugh at me, mock me, and move on, happy that you at least got a laugh. Now, wait while I think of something stupid to do.”

You got maybe half the way up before her tail swept underneath your feet, bringing you crashing down onto the ground. This was of course where she ruled, and before you could even try to get up, her long coils were already around you. She even managed to stop you from yelling about what she was doing by.. Kissing you.

Her lips are warm and thin against yours as her heat presses down upon your whole body. You’ve never been trapped like this, with every way just leading to more of her soft, smooth scales. She’d grabbed you, but for a full coil like this… It was nice, just like the kiss, both things you wish you could admit otherwise.

As Rainbow pulled away, she sniffled, burying her face into your chest as she began to sob. It didn’t take long that your speech on how she acted had done the trick of your normally stupid action, but instead of making her laugh, it cracked her shell. You get to hear about how her family is so far away, how she can’t send letters to them until she does something right, and above all else;

How important you are, proven in better way than the t-shirt she wore to the kitchen the next morning, and the ‘tease’ for later in his ear as she said, “I’d get started working out now, if I were you, because when I have a job, I’m dragging you down there and showing you the five hour mating period for us lamias, and I don't plan to hold back, not when I'll have a lot of thanks pent up just for you.”

As she slunk away from you, your eyes can’t help but look at the hot oil on the pan of bacon you’re making at the moment. One flick and… No, it just meant that you needed to go to the gym starting tomorrow. Besides, Rarity would kill you if you burned your face, and she doesn’t need to promise you to promise to know that for a fact.

Silver lining: Rainbow was wearing a shirt now, and didn’t know about-

“You did what?”

You glance towards Rainbow’s yell, before correcting the silver lining to the one point.

Author's Note

I've been doing a Monster Girl Original Story recently (as in at least 15k in the past four days) and thought it'd just be mean if I didn't do at least a chapter of this. Hope you enjoyed the cute little chapter, and you can click this link to see a teaser for the Original Story I'm doing.
