I’ve been well busy and… sigh rarity the truth is I’m not as weak as I used to be and I’ve been hiding things from you” began sweetie struggling to find the right words as she looked at the camera. Ok I… I he-heh arrgh mnn” let out Sweetie getting up and pacing before moving off screen. “just give me a minute sniffle sob Irrgh snort what does she care she’s too busy with fashion she can’t even grasp the matrix theory she doesn’t even know what a quozy particle is let alone what miasma is no-no stop she’s not stupid but she’s not twilight either arrgh get a hold of yourself it shouldn’t be this hard –inhale-exhale –inhale-sigh rarity five weeks ago my magic exploded in front of my face… ok not there um oh ehem for weeks ago after I consider what happened I tack dizzy up on his offer to help me learn how to control my magic no ugh fine we’ll start there” said sweetie off camera as pacing could be heard. “Auh ugh ok um try not to freak out please all the fainting isn’t good for your health,” said, Sweetie, as she comes back in front of the camera sighing. “Uh ok just let me show you ‘why I didn’t think of this before’ I can just record it for celestias sake” said Sweetie as she grabs the camera in her magic and lowers it to the floor with her. “he says when I know I’m going to be using a lot of magic it helps if I take it laying down or it’s um It’s easier to demonstrate so um just watch” said sweetie as she set the camera on the floor as she lays on her belly resting her head on her hooves. “inhale-exhale sigh ok so let’s start first you meditate meditation isn’t about pushing back thoughts its well think of it like this you’re sitting on the side of a busy intersection in a city but the thing is you’ll get distracted but rather than running out into traffic and try and stop it like a crossing guard the idea is to watch the traffic go buy not chase after it or try and stop it just relax let the thought come anyway that meditation but what we’re doing is a bit different” said, sweetie, as she breathed. “It’s a bit difficult to do while I’m talking so I’m going to explain it then demonstrate it” she explained as her horn hummed. “now step one meditate like you would if you were using the method I mentioned before start with your breathing in through the nose out through the mouth sigh now focus on your heart beat just listen to it –inhale-sigh you want to stay focused on it throughout the entire session” explained sweetie as she began to feel a bit at ease. “ok now if you can cancel out all sound except for your heart beat then you wonna do that now once all you can hear is your heart beat try and see if you can’t feel your um blood pressure or um a better way of explaining would be try and feel your heart beat within your vanes like when you get your hoof pricked at the doctor’s office ok” said sweetie as her horn began pulsing faintly. “ok now comes the magic part once you have this down you want to use your sixth sense all us unicorns have in regard to our magic –inhale-sigh now focus on the energies you feel flowing within yourself if you can’t feel it the first time that’s ok you’ll find it just keep trying if you know what I’m trying to describe even better” explained sweetie as she sighed a small smile across her face. “Oh and another thing don’t fall asleep not that it does anything you’ll just have to start over is all. Now the energy you’re looking for is the energy flowing in rhythm with your heart beat” she explained as she felt herself relax. “now rather than trying to grab or control it like you would usually do but rather lean on it let it carry you with it oh and relax just let yourself lay limp like a noodle which is kinda what you should have started but it’s ok if you didn’t up until this point past here it’s not harmful but easier and better” said sweetie as her horn glowed softly. “now just relax and lean on this energy you feel flowing in rhythm with your heartbeat oh this is your involuntary magic, by the way, I’ll explain that a bit later but for now let’s focus on riding this wave sigh,” said sweetie trying not to lose herself in peace. As she let herself lay limper than water feeling her worries melt off of her like butter. “now just fallow this energy through its cycles you want to fallow it as it travels through your body in rhythm with your heart beat by this point you might feel vary distracted by all these other energy waves you feel washing through you but remember like I said before its just traffic you can’t ignore it but you just need to practice it’s not called the meditative method for nothing now just relax the only muscles that should be moving are your involuntary muscles like your heart and your semi involuntary muscle like your lungs” she said as she breathedfeeling relaxed. “Now for you because you’re a beginner I recommend you just ride the wave no surfing yet you’re not ready I’m just learning how to surf through my magic as it flows through every fiber of my being” explained sweetie in a serious tone as she felt her horn humming with the rhythm of her heart being careful not to serf just yet. “Now that I’ve explained a bit of what I’m going to show you I sagest you auh I almost forgot you need to know how to properly defuse right ok now um oh you probably had to of at least once woken up from a dream just enough that it’s lucid you know we’re you can feel the bed beneath you and stuff so anyway just relax listen to your heart beat and find the energy in rhythm with the rate of your breath and calmly raise your rate of breathe now when you can no longer hear the blood running through the vanes in your ears open your eyes and stretch –yawn- mmn- sigh see it’s not that hard you just need to relax” explained sweetie as she brought herself out of her meditative state yawning as she stretched out opening her eyes and sighing as she looked at the camera not realizing her eyes had a light green glow making them glow in the dark all the while her horn never stopped glowing. “Now that was just a warm-up exercise now I can demonstrate the meditative method in action just relax rarity giggle I feel a lot better now,” said Sweetie as she looked at the camera sweetly. “Inhale-sigh now let’s begin” let out sweatie as she breathes through her nose and mouth laying limply as her horn started to glow brighter. Rarity watched as the screen showed her sister laying in a fetal position. ‘what is this what is she doing’ she thought as she watched as a white light grew from the bass of her sister's horn spiral a slowly crawling up the tip as a strong humming could be heard. ‘Just relax’ thought sweetie concentrating on the energy she felt within as she felt her horn humming in rhythm with her heart. Now rid the wave’ she told herself as she leaned into it letting it wash through her as her horn glowed vibrantly. “…” ‘?’ rarity stood in the room at attention watching the video intently as she watched her sister start glowing a bright white ‘sweetie what are you doing you don’t need to prove anything with me just tell me’ thought rarity as she saw her sister begin floating as the spiral of her horn glowed a bright pure white within a brilliant green ora. ‘now I surf’ sweetie told herself as she felt herself float drawing her magic from her delta like she had been taught rather than her reserves. Rarity watched as her sister glowed like the sun her horn emanating a white mist. ‘now sweetie please don’t hurt yourself’ she thought unable to speak stuck in her head as she tried to make sense of how and what her sister was ding before everything spiked watching as the light imploded all the while her sister bio illuminates in her natural colors. ‘and finally, I channel it throughout my body nice and even three two one and lean sigh’ thought sweetie as she let herself lay lose in her own magical energies. Watching as her sister carried it to a table with an assortment of strange-looking gadgets on it before recognizing them as what was in the case. “Sigh now I have to fix the lens again oh why did have to be born different I don’t want to be extra special,” said sweetie feeling beat down. “Now I have to start over and erase what I have so far, oh come on!” she said frustrated as she used a screwdriver to adjust the lenses. Maybe I’ll just come back tomorrow yawn I’m pretty much spent already for today huh ill just ‘redo the darn thing all over again” she let out bitterly as she turned the camera off. Rarity sat puzzled not sure what to do or think. ‘Ok just take it slow 1 she says she been lying to me and this is the only way she feels she can tell me alright 2 she having some trouble with her magic ‘but who’s dizzy?’ so second and secret magic teacher that I know nothing about. 3 just be patient it’s obvious she’s having trouble coming out I just, ok she’s been ok the few months as she says’ she thought trying to take as much into account as she could with what she knew. ‘she said tomorrow but what does she mean by it huh?’ she contemplated before the screen came to life again showing her sister’s giant green eye before pulling back and revealing her siblings adorable face as she quickly listened. “Is it on good?” said sweetie as she looked closely at the camera before setting it on the tripod and tacking a few steps back. “um hey rarity um so second day of this um video confessional thing I sigh the thing is oh right I deleted the first one so I’ll start over sigh about five weeks ago my magic explodes in my face while I’m trying to cast a spell twilight was teaching me but no go back um right I leave twilights frustrated but I still try and cast it for most of the day until it goes bad and blows up… it. the spells simple really just a different variant of the light charm that makes my horn glow like a flashlight any way its’ supposed to be like a lantern instead of making my horn glow I’d make a small ball of light in front of me that I’d use like you would a lantern eh ehem uh so um arrgh forget it I’m not worth your time anyway just go back to your dumb fabric” said sweetie ending a bit bitter as she walked off scene tuning the camera off as she does. ‘Oh, darling please don’t beat yourself up just tell me so I can help you fabrics the last thing on my mind right now’ thought rarity heartbroken as she hoped her sister hadn’t given up waiting as the screen went from black to showing her sister with her back to her. “Please,” she said under breath as she waited, listening. “Ehem for the past five weeks I’ve been training with a second magic teacher his name is dizzy I’ve been having trouble controlling my magic and he’s been helping me um so it all started after he saw me when my magic exploded in my face. At first I wasn’t sure but he let me think it over long story short here I am but here’s the thing at first he wouldn't teach me a single spell apparently that’s not how you learn how to use your magic and um sigh ok let’s try this ehem lesson one self-control week one. Ok um right so um he says before he will teach me anything I need to be able to control the magic inside of me I need to find and sinter it learn how to guide it and channel it through myself,” began sweetie retelling what’s happened over the past five weeks as she faced away from the camera. ‘Ok, darling just keep talking’ thought rarity as she went over everything her sister said. “Ok um right lesson one control part one patience so week one I’m expecting the same stuff twilight gives me to do but it’s different instead of learning a spell or studying I have to levitate this white sphere but I can’t it was some kind of test but he didn’t tell me that he just told me to pick up the ball with my magic and hold it. Um it wasn’t easy it was heavy and frustrating and to make it worse he kept poking me with this long pole so anyway I start to get frustrated and the ball keeps changing colors each color made it either heavy or slippery and eventually I lose my temper and my magic flares up on me the ball gets embedded in the ceiling. I keep apologizing but he just laughs saying it’s what he expected and tells me to try again pulling it out of the ceiling. This time I drop it and he keeps telling me to keep trying but still poked me with the pole and for what felt like forever I either drop it ore my magic flares and I lose control and finally he tells me to stop and I can barely draw an ounce of magic anymore plus I’m frustrated to the point where I actually yelled at him but he doesn’t get angry with me and when I finally calm downI start apologizing again but he stops me says apologizing does nothing nor did I have a need to there’s a difference in saying you’re sorry and showing it eventually I recuperate enough that a find a little more magic in me and he tells me to start again this time he doesn’t poke me but after I drop it for the eighth time he tells me to stop again. And he says he knows what’s wrong saying there’s nothing wrong with me and he started teaching me the meditative method about a few days of training and I learn how to find and follow the energies within me but before he says he’ll teach me how to channel my magic I’d have to pass his test at first I don’t get it but by the second weak I pass it but I still don’t get it and he explains it to me he tells me my magic is emotionally centered. Rarity magic is as much emotion as it is an energy with a will to guide it. My magic is tied to my emotions rarity and it won’t stop growing every now and then I get overwhelmed by it and in order to help me control the outbursts he’s taught me the meditative method so I can expel excess energy and bad magic easier plus your using your magic wrong so is twilight and everypony else you’re going to give yourself horn rot. Is It yep k um day three so yesterday I told you about dizzy but today I’m going to try and explain how are magic well I explain first. Ehem magic doesn’t come from our horn it comes from deep within us so like this imagine a strong mountain and inside that mountain is a liquid Chrystal core that bubbles up into a lake at the top of the mountain this spring flows over and down the mountain in rivers the rivers pass through four seasons, first winter than fall fallowed by spring and finally summer from there it flows through swamps rain forests plains tundra grass lands duns and finally reaches its goalthe ocean all the while going through lakes ponds and a network of smaller rivers and streams. So lets simplify that the mountain is the center the liquid Chrystal core is well the core and the spring is the delta where our magic comes from the core its ware fresh magic is made and stored as the excess overflows into the delta which goes through the rest of our system, and the forests swamps and other ecosystems are the different natural cycles our magic goes through as it runs through our system. Now the lakes aside from the delta those are our reserves. Ehem then there are fish that act like salmon they spon they represent our will and consciousness in our magic as it flows through us as we guide it to do what we want fish come from the ocean carry information telling our subconscious awareness um ok scratch that magic is like a wave an energy wave and threes frequency pitch depth crest and length every pony has there own uneak base frequency and every spell resonates at a different wave cycle and such urgh ok that’smagic signature every pony has one whether a unicorn Pegasus or earth pony it doesn’t matter we all have one so um this is really hard sorry um ok fish carry the info stored in these waves. Oh and um there are schools of fish swimming upstream and schools of fish going downstream. Ugh basically there’s magic in everything and everyone the rocks the atmosphere everything um ok I think I'll demonstrate now. But that water started somewhere right that’s where the delta comes in.” Explained, Sweetie as she closed her eyes a white green mist on her breath. “the delta well a delta is the point where a river stream and so on starts its like the exit point on a lake where um ok scratch that imagine a glacier or a mountain with a lake on top now picture beneath that lake there’s a natural spring bubbling up constantly with fresh water this is your delta where magic comes from oh giggle twilight should know this but a lot of even unicorn don’t know that their magic doesn’t come from there horn either that or they just forget all it is, is an extension of yourself kinda like how a sword is to a samurai but ill get into that a bit latter for now let’s focus on understanding your delta let’s see where was I?” she said explaining as she opened her eyes to look at her nose while she thought. “Oh right fresh water this is one of two but the other is a bit more complicated so I’ll stick with the first for now. So this represents one of the cycles our magic does even when we’re not using it our magic is constantly renewing and replenishing itself but how?” said Sweetie as she closed her eyes again. “Well, that’s a bit more a part of the second thing about the delta I mentioned earlier. Um so beneath this lake is another lake but this one’s different. Let’s see um oh yes uh it’s hard to find something to campier it to so I can explain it give me a minute” she said thinking. ‘Uh um ok darling you’ll get it just keep trying’ thought rarity encouragingly as she tried her best to make sense of what her sister was trying to tell her watching her sister's tongue hang out in between pressed lips. “oh um ok so like this you have plumbing for magic and that’s inside the mountain above ground you have your vanes like that in your cardio repertory system and the mountain is your heart while the lake is the lungs or no-no well it’ll do for now let’s just move on down this river ok so you have a lake at the top of a mountain this lake is refreshed constantly by a natural spring so now we fallow the water or in this case magic first we travel down the mountain passing the first season winter than fall than spring then summer each represents a renewal cycle our magic goes through. Followed by different ecosystems that represent other cycles it goes through. Continued sweetie as she let her magic wash over her mentally mapping the strongest flow points. “so I’m running low on this to compare so forgive me if you still don’t get it. Um right, the lakes that are well in each ecosystem the swamp is the filter it helps sort the different fish that carry info from the outside magic and our own inner magic. Oh, and the lakes are our reserves pools of magic we normally use on A daily bases.” Sweetie Said as opened her eyes as she looked at the camera. “Um ok and finally there’s the ocean this resides outside the body this represents the magic that surrounds us in the atmosphere itself in the plants rocks earth and other living things. Uh and pegasi wouldn’t be able to fly without their magic yes they have magic so do earth ponies it’s a Pegasus’s inner magic that enables them to walk on clouds steward the weather and build things like Cloudsdale!” said sweetie matter a factly ass he half smiles nervously. Oh and one more fact the horn isn’t the only thing you can use to channel your magic and to further explain and prove what I’m trying to describe today we’ll or I’m going to teach you about channels right channels are points in which our magic reaches the ocean if you got any of that just let me show you with this, this.” She said as she sat up using her magic to summon a device as it shoots to her hoof catching it her horn showing no signs of magic our casting. “…” ‘huh did she just no she need maybe it’s more subtle?’ thought rarity trying to understand what her sister meant before having her assumptions confirmed as she watched her sister seem to call a strange looking device to her hoof. “this is a magic detector or that’s what I call it but it works kinda like a metal detector but instead of metal or gold and such it detects magic energy fields and the like basically it will tell us where the magic is strongest so let’s begin giggle” said, sweetie, as she showed the camera the device she held letting go a little as she giggled in anticipation. “ let see where ever my magic field or basically this will show what I’m trying to explain here,” she said as she charged her horn with magic as a small low light grew at the point of the device as it started beeping. ‘huh what are you doing please don’t hurt yourself’ thought rarity watching as a small hoof held device her sister was holding glowed brightly getting brighter as the beeping got faster before slowing down. “now let prove what I’m saying ‘shall we?’ hem first of the eight channels all four hooves” said sweetie as she let her horn go still placing the small gadget on the ground in front of her a short distance as she set the camera on the tripod. “now in through the nose –snifff-sigh- out through the mouth” she said as she breathed. ‘Ok now fallow lean and surf’ she thought as she guided her magic into her hoof eyes closed as she concentrated. “huh what are you doing darling auh eh?” began Rarity softly to herself before she sees her sisters hoof start glowing with an inner light before gaining a green-white mist emanate from it as her sister opened her eyes taking her hoof and waving it in front of the M.F.D device causing it to go crazy with each pass. “See?” questioned sweetie as she brought her other hoof up with a light glow. ‘Just focus’ she told herself as she felt her mane stand on end. “Now who wants to see the other channel see even my back hooves too,” she said as she turned around willing her tail to wrap around herself as she moved each hoof for a few passes by the device. “you see earth ponies channel their magic through there hooves it’s just so subtle you just can’t see it wi-with your…..sigh…” began sweetie cutting out as she lets her magic settle. “auh sigh rarity there’s something else I need to tell you just try and understand you see I wasn’t born like the rest I’m a bit deferent rarity I was born with the ability to see magic and no you may see the glow from an illumination charm which is what I was channeling through my hooves but I see the magic behind it, the energy I mean. When I look at well anypony I don’t just see them I see the energies inside them. When I was at the hearths warming pageant and the story was told at first I thought it was my imagination but a little ways into the story I get this headache and the world around me started to fall away almost like someone was burning it away. first it started slow but then it came in full I wasn’t at the pageant anymore I was there the three tribes were fighting over food but I no longer saw the stage actors they changed into a few dozen ponies of the three tribes I’m confused the stage is gone, I have no idea where I am, there are mounds of snow everywhere, and it's freezing I can feel my entire skeleton the winds howling with a ghostly whale” began sweetie as she closed her eyes opening them as she listed things off. “?” “then I get a headache and I hear these fillies and colts talking one says but he’s nice the thing is when I walk over to try and find where I am they walk right through me and I realize they're not speaking the language I’m familiar with but I can break it down enough that I can make heads and tails out of it. for what felt like forever I followed them I find that the filly is upset because her mother forbade her from seeing her friend who was an earth pony the other same thing but she’s a Pegasus and half way home the part ways the Pegasus says bye embers while she says bye morning dove and she fly’s away the wind making it difficult, but I can’t fly so I fallow the unicorn home it warmer inside because there’s a fire going but there are no logs just a ball of fire in a bright red hue.” She said as she sat antsy confessing. “…” “Then I here Scootaloo and she’s asking if I’m feeling ok I say yeah an everything melts away only to happen again a few minutes later I’m in a wagon there’s food all over the place I pop my head out to see where I am and I nearly fall off a cliff.
