Reign for a Thousand years
I awoke once more for another day or night in the occupation of Equestria as I awoke in my makeshift hut. Discord had long since changed how the sun and moon moved making day and night hit us two-hundred and thirty-six times in twenty four hours a day and seven times a weak. I know because it has been going on like this for the last three years. I grew accustom to it like just everypony else. However I didn't give up, not like my companions or the other ponies of Equestria. I ran and hid hoping to plan a way to stop Discord the sprit of Chaos.
I got out of bed and looked into the mirror that was leaning up against the hut's wall. I inspected myself from head to hoof. My eyes were their normal light green, my coat a snowy white with my mane a rich brown. I had not changed from unicorn to something else overnight unlike some ponies I had once knew.
I turned to face the exit of the hut where there was a painted portrait of Celestia. I had taken it from the Canterlot, after she was defeated to remind myself who I was fighting for. I had served under her for five years, being one of her personal guards the few that would travel with her to different nations. "Today is the day, your highness" I claimed to the picture before saluting it.
I stepped outside of the hut to check the surrounding area for any Timberwolves, or other predators of the Everfree. I smelt the sweet sent of lily's in the air from the dew from last night. "Surely this place is blessed, to not be affected by Discord's Chaotic grasp" I said to myself watching in all the glory of the inner beauty of the Everfree.
"Yes, it sure Is my friend, now tell me of how you will make it end?" spoke Zecora a zebra from Zebraca that was living in the Everfree before Discord's Reign. She helped me the past three years preparing for my plan despite, not knowing what I was planning.
"Right, I guess we should talk inside" I said as I walked inside my hut. As we entered my hut I walked over to a chest which was at the foot of my bed, where my armor I had once worn when I served under the sun was placed on top of a small table. Opening the chest with my magic I pulled out a rolled up piece of paper and a compass.
Opening the paper and placing it to the ground, It showed all of Equestria and it's bordering nations. I placed the Compass on the lower right of the map where the key was located.
"Okay as you known, when Equestria fell, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna and Princess Amore de Cadence was... placed elsewhere and the Elements of Harmony were dispersed. Now if we can find the Elements and bring them back together, we could strike at Discord turning him back into stone" I explained to her. Getting a confused look from her. "What?" I inquired.
She pointed at the map and spoke "If that was all than why do tell, you bring out only a compass and a map with a levitation spell?". I looked to her and lightly chuckled getting me a look of confusion from her.
"You see I heard that somehow the elements have left the six barers of harmony and some ended up elsewhere in Equestria. My plan is to find Celestia's Student here in Ponyvile, and hopefully get her to join me. Once there I will need to strike the Crystal Empire, I heard a rumor that it along as Sombra has returned and if that is true. He would no doubt be a problem for Equestria, once we eliminate Discord that is. Also in order to defeat Discord I need to reunite the ponies to launch an assault as the Elements lands the killing blow" I explained pointing out the areas.
"Do tell, what of Clouds-Dale?" She asked raising an eyebrow at me. I hadn't thought about Clouds-Dale, last time I heard that the whole city was moved into a unknown airspace. Plus getting there without being a Pegasus would be hard at best, especially since I would fall right through the ground if I did find myself up there somehow.
"I'll think of it, when the time comes. Anyways I must be off to find and speak with Celestia's student; the barer of magic" I told her as I used my magic to put on my armor on. She whished me luck and left, as I searched my chest for everything that I needed for this long journey that must be made for the sake of Equestria.
Placing the last piece of gear in my saddlebag that was strapped to my armor, I brought out my sword and sheathed it. I turned to the portrait of Celestia and saluted for the very last time. I left the hut once more and began my journey to free Equestria from chaos and the Princesses from their imprisonment on the moon.I looked upwards just as the moon was about to replace the sun again. Once shining, the three heads of the former leaders shined from the moon so brightly.
As I walked through the thick and maze like forest known as the Everfree, I started to remember what happened that day. When Discord was freed from his stone imprisonment and started unleashing his chaos. Oh, yeah I remember it like it was yesterday. It was the scariest moment in my life, and what happened after the Princesses disappeared. Discord was going to pay for the lives that were lost on that day, one way or another; I'm going to see through to it.
