Twilight Sparkle's alarm went off as she groggily got up and out of bed. "Spike, hurry and get up! Today is the Nightmare Night festival!" She glanced over at the baby dragon, who was snoring heavily. "Spike!" Twilight had to shake Spike until he jumped out of his bed. "T-Twilight, ask me next time before waking me up like that!" Twilight rolled her eyes, then explained to the dragon about the festival. "Get your costume, and meet me downstairs. Soon enough, the pony and dragon were heading out to the festival.     This year, there were extra things added to the festival. There were new rides, including a roller coaster, a Ferris Wheel, and a maze, which the interior was covered completely up, apparently. Spike pointed to the strange maze, where they saw Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie(who was jumping up and down excitedly). They were chattering happily while waiting in line. "Hey, look! Our friends are over there, Twilight !" Spike pointed out. Twilight smiled, and suggested that they head over to Fluttershy and Pinkie. "Sounds good to me!", exclaimed Spike. Twilight trotted over to the ride. Pinkie immediately noticed and gasped. "Omigosh Twilight I'm so glad you're here it's so good this'll be fun it's a new ride yes Fluttershy's here too and Spike oh yay and Rainbow Dash went in too and-" Pinkie Pie took another gasp, and Twilight sighed. She put her hoof over her mouth and said, "Now, Pinkie, don't waste all your energy talking. This ride is going to be awesome, and I can tell." Pinkie nodded her head, and Twilight took her hoof off Pinkie's mouth. Fluttershy also nodded her head. Chattering happily, they entered the maze of funny-looking mirrors. ***Here is where some certain disturbing parts may occur. If you have a weak stomach and can't stand gory descriptions, I suggest you might want to stop reading. If you can't stomach rats, then also leave. And I also want to say that I may not be a very good writer and the previous few paragraphs may not be very good. I am sorry and the next few paragraphs will be better. Well, maybe. Thank you, and have a nice day. c: The trio of ponies... and Spike entered the mirror maze. It really was a maze; there were different paths, lined with wavy mirrors that changed the ponies' appearances. Mirrors lined the walls. Fluttershy looked at the nearest mirror, which was normal, and started twirling her hair.. "I, um, suppose the first few mirrors are... normal?" Twilight looked at the next mirror, which distorted her face. She moved her head around while sticking out her tongue, giggling. "Yeah, you're right." But then Fluttershy looked around. "Where's Pinkie Pie?" "I think I saw her go down the left corridor." "Okay, Spike, stay here." "What??!!?? C'mon, Twilight! Lemme go too! Fluttershy, I-" They trotted over to the entrance, ignoring Spike's comments, unaware that Pinkie Pie had gone the right way...      "Hahaha! WhoOOOoooOOOooOooo! WaaAAAaaaAAAAAaaah!" Pinkie Pie giggled, nodding up and down at the nearest mirrror. She was having fun. Pinkie jumped up and down. Then she moved on to mirrors that made her look bigger, smaller, wider, and even colored differently! She was then red, magenta, yellow, blue, any color you could imagine. Then she looked behind her and said, "Oh, girls! This is fun!" but then she gasped. No pony was there. "Fluttershy? Twilight? Where are you?" Then she heard a loud smash, which made her shriek. The mirror next to her was shattered, and one shard had caught her in the hoof. "This isn't funny! that hurt!" She glanced at her hoof, which was now bleeding considerably. The mirror next to her shattered again, but Pinkie was ready. She jumped out of the way as a shard just whizzed by her face. "No! Stop! I-" But then she stopped. The mirror that just broke.... did it just squeak?     A single rat slowly came out from behind the mirror. Pinkie backed away. The rat scurried toward her and squeaked madly as five more came from behind the mirror. Pinkie was simply outnumbered. The rat jumped up on her and bit her leg. She screamed and shook the rat off while more came up. Pinkie screamed and started stomping all around her,  killing rats making the floor slippery with blood. "NO! STOP!", she yelled. Pinkie's survival instincts kicked in and she ran(almost slipping in blood), away from the rats. They chased her all the way to a dead end, where she put on her game face and kicked a rat into a mirror, shattering it. "Get away from me, you FILTHY VERMIN!" Her The mirror she broke started emitting rats, but then Pinkie realized something. She was outnumbered, and she couldn't get out of this. She couldn't tell- Three rats jumped up on her flank, biting at her cutie mark. Pinkie Pie lost her balance and fell straight into the pile of rats. In approximately ten seconds, her fate would be sealed. ...    Twilight and Fluttershy exchanged sighs. Pinkie could be a real problem. "When do you think we'll find her? I mean, she might be on a whole different section of Equestria, knowing her!" Twilight exclaimed, rolling her eyes. Fluttershy chuckled to herself. "Ooh, ooh, um, I have an idea! Do you have a spell where we could see where she is, and if you can, can you, er, please use it?" Fluttershy grinned. Twilight thought for a moment. "Well, yeah. It'll show a virtual map in front of the area we're in, and it'll show a green X if the pony we're searching for is alive, and if the pony is... deceased, it won't show anything." "May you try it?" "Absolutely, but I may need some concentration and some room." Fluttershy backed away while Twilight's aura around her horn turned purple, as a map appeared in front of her. Twilight panted from the strain of the spell as Fluttershy read the map. She saw nothing but mirrors. "Oh... um... Twilight, I think the spell may have failed." She showed the unicorn the blank map, but Twilight just gasped. "But... it can't be possible!" "Twilight, no, she's not dead." 'B-b-ut the spell never lies. I've tried it and it has never failed." "Then, this must be the first time. Pinkie... can't be dead..." "... Well, y-yeah, you're right. I-I'll try again." And so she did. Still nothing showed. But Fluttershy still persisted, tears dripping down her face. After the sixth time, Twilight was exhausted and crying. Fluttershy was also crying. "... Twilight, i-i-is it t-true? Is... Is... Is Pinkie Pie dead?" "Fluttershy... it... it h-has to be true. The spell doesn't lie. I-I-It's hard... to believe, but sometimes we just need to accept things." Fluttershy surprisingly stood up and sighed. "Twilight... I don't believe it...." She gulped and said strongly, "I need to see the body." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 The two ponies walked on and on, until the path was split into two. Twilight Sparkle could see that past that, the path was yet again split, and split, and split, until there were 16 paths on one side. Fluttershy sank to the floor and mumbled something about never being able to find Pinkie. "Should we... turn around, Twilight?" Fluttershy was about to cry. You could tell she cared for her dear friend. "Well, yes. Pinkie wouldn't have made it here. She would've called our name and waited. That must mean... oh, Celestia! She went the other way!" Twilight's eye started twitching, and her legs were obviously tired of walking. "Oh, boy... But, say... Um, Twilight, how far have we traveled?" "About a mile and a half." "Whhhhaaaaat? But the maze looked so small from the outside!" "Fluttershy, I think we're going down. I noticed a small decrease every step, and I say that we're about thirty to fifty feet down." "But... that's crazy! I-" Suddenly a loud shift was heard, but Twilight screamed. She tackled Fluttershy out of the way just as a pillar rose up from the ground, in the position where they were both in. The force of the pillar would have killed them both instantly, not mentioning the way it hit the ceiling, causing parts of the ceiling to fall down near the ponies.     Once their coughing fits were over, Fluttershy hugged Twilight. "Oh, *cough* Twilight, thank you so much, I would've died..." Twilight, horribly dazed by the event nodded her head slowly, still coughing like a maniac before falling to the ground. "*squeal* Twilight! What happened?" "Fluttershy... I... I-I'm fine. I'm just... dazed..." Her head slumped to the ground. "No, Twilight, there's something wrong. I've taken care of enough animals to know that you're hurt." Fluttershy, determined to get her friend out, heaved her over her back, and ran toward the entrance.     It was hard to get there with Twilight on her back without everything crumbling behind her. The occasional debris hit her and Twilight, causing her to stir quietly. Fluttershy became slower every step, but her determination was too strong just for her to give up. She was panting hard now, and Twilight weighed more than she'd thought. In less than a minute she would have to give up. Just as she was about to give up, the pillars rising from the ground with speed stopped with a crash. Fluttershy fell to the floor, panting more than she ever had in her whole life. All the energy was drained from her body, but she didn't have a clue about Twilight. Fluttershy fell on top of her, embracing the lavender pony in a hug. They would lay there, hugging each other, soon falling asleep.     Soon enough they heard Rainbow Dash's voice. "Whoa! What are you doing, Twilight? Fluttershy? That looks naughty!" By this time Twilight's and Fluttershy's voices had come back a little, but only enough for speaking in short sentences. "Rain... Dash... Get... Watch o-out..." "Wha? I don't get it." "Pill... ars... Watch out for..." "I shouldn't take pills? I know." "Pillars... Stay..." There was a rumble as Rainbow yelled and tried to move, but to no avail. A pillar came up and smashed her wing. She yelled bloody murder as she was suspended in the air, screaming. "HOLY BUCK! IT HURTS! MAKE IT STOP! MY WING!" Fluttershy and Twilight could just watch as the cyan pegasus just screamed. And screamed. And screamed. And screamed. Aaaaand screamed. Twilight woke up to the commotion. She saw Dashie suspended in the air and her eyes became as wide as saucers. "What... I don't under... stand, how did... I-" Rainbow Dash screamed again, but soon her yells were turned into sobs. "OH.... Twi... Flutter... please help. Make it stop, it hurts, my wing, I can't get out... PLEASE!" Twilight and Fluttershy bolted up but they were quickly sat down by a rumbling sound and a mini earthquake, supposedly. The mirrors around Rainbow Dash shattered, shards stabbing her in the flank and her hooves. Rainbow's sobs turned into the loudest yells you could hear in Equestria. "HOLY BUCKING CELESTIA! MAKE IT STOP! PLEASE!" Her healthy wing flapped as if it would help. It only made her other wing shift uncomfortably, making the bones grind against the stone, making her wince. "Rainbow Dash, watch out!" Another pillar rose up in front of her, almost catching her hoof. Dashie's eyes widened and she pulled her hooves in, hiccuping uncontrollably. "Dashie, we... omigosh... We'll get you out.... TWILIGHT! Use your magic!" "On it, Fluttershy!" Twilight Sparkle's aura around her horn turned purple as she shakily pulled the pillar to the ground and Fluttershy fetched Rainbow Dash. Her wing was a bloody mess with veins sticking out at the base. "Twilight... NO, DON'T TOUCH ME! It... h-h-h-hurts... I'm... d-d-dying, get me... to hostpit... al..." Twilight gulped. She had no experience with medical issues, and her only hope was Fluttershy.     Fluttershy was in the corner, sobbing and muttering crazy things. "Fluttershy! We need you!" Fluttershy snapped out of her world, and trotted quickly over. "Okay, Twilight... I'll try my best... Oh, no... We need a cloth..." "Wha... I'll use my magic." She generated a handkerchief which Fluttershy grabbed eagerly. She wrapped it around the crying pegasus. She winced and flapped her working wing rapidly, but just one wing couldn't get her in the air. Her wing was bandaged, and she started to calm down. Her thoughts were even calmer. Okay... My wing was just crushed. I can't fly. It still hurts. My life is ruined. My cutie mark doesn't even match my personality. I don't even count as a pegasus any more. My... life, my wings, my reputation... It'd be better if I died right now.     The yellow and the lavender unicorn and the pegasus explained to Rainbow Dash. When she heard the part about Pinkie supposedly being dead, she broke down. No... everything... my wings, my reputation, my best friend... Omigosh. I don't even... This... Just kill me. "So, basically, we must get out of this bucking place." Twilight let out a shaky sigh. "M-my... life is ruined..." Rainbow Dash started moaning and muttering unintelligible things. "Rainbow, we need to get out. This is horrible." Rainbow Dash grimaced, and her mouth fell open. "...NO." "What... Rainbow Dash, what are you sa-" "NONONONONO, I love it in here. Very comfy. So spacy." Her facial expression turned into a wide grin. "Um, no, Dashie. We must get out. It's dangerous..." Fluttershy put a hoof on Rainbow's back, which she then shoved off, startling Fluttershy. "DON'T TOUCH ME! My decision. I stay, stay, stay." She scooted away, grinning eagerly, as if the Wonderbolts would pop out of nowhere. "Rainbow Dash!" Twilight started pushing Rainbow Dash in the way to the entrance. "NONONONONONONONO, STOP!" Rainbow smacked the unicorn and curled into a fetal position, muttering unintelligible things. "R-Rainbow... Why would you hit me?" Twilight glanced at her hoof, which was bruised. "Get. Away." "No." "Yes." "If you come with me, out." "NEVER, I LOVE IT HERE... SO GREAT, SO AWESOME..." Twilight and Fluttershy sighed. Rainbow Dash then noticed the ponies staring. She screamed and assaulted Twilight. She jumped and smacked her in the face, screaming and shrieking. Fluttershy yelled and tried to calm down Dashie. Twilight coughed up blood, trying to yell. She tried to yell, but the blood in her mouth prevented her and a gurgling sound came out. Rainbow Dash pummeled her until Twilight could barely breathe. RAinbow Dash stood up and admired her work. Her hoof was chipped from hitting Twilight, but that wouldn't matter. "Dash... W-why..." Twilight coughed up blood, splattering the mirror next to her with blood, scaring Fluttershy. She screamed and ran. Rainbow ignored that, grinning, loving the moment. Thud. Fluttershy hit a mirror in her run. She had to get out. Rainbow Dash could kill her. She had to warn the others, They would die... "Hey, Fluttershy, like my lipstick?" Rainbow Dash was behind her, wearing a coat of Twilight's blood on her lips. She smiled brightly. "Want some, Flutty?" Fluttershy stopped. She gasped. She broke into tears. "RAINBOW, W-WHY? I THOUGHT *hiccup* y... I th-h-h.... I thought you loved us." "Loving? I've never heard of that." With those words she took her hooves out from behind her back, and in her grasp was Twilight's horn. "I thought I should have a souvenir. Isn't it delightful?" Dashie faked a smile. She broke a mirror with the horn and grabbed a shard. "Hmm... I lost my wing; hey Fluttershy, want to donate? It'd be really loyal and kind." "N-N-NO, Please, D-Dashie..." "Too bad." She trotted over to the horrified pegasus and slashed at her wing, stabbing the bone. "AAAAAAAAAAH, PLEASE STOP, SWEET CELESTIA, MY WING...." Fluttershy grimaced, and soon fainted out of pure pain. Or she was dead. Rainbow Dash smiled, and kept cutting. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3    When Fluttershy woke up, she screamed. Rainbow Dash was holding her decapitated wing in her mouth, playing with it. "I love your wing, Fluttershy!" She looked at the spot where she used to have a wing; it was purple and bloody, the bone was sticking out in an awkward way. It hurt worse than taking care of a dangerous animal. In fact, it was the worse pain she had ever felt. "Oh Celstia.... M-make it stop hurting..." "What? I can't hear you over the sound of me being awesome." She stabbed the horn into her chest, making a dark purple mark. She stabbed the pegasus repeatedly, laughing in a happy but maniac way. Fluttershy coughed up blood, staining the cyan pegasus' fur. "Oh, look, I got a new coat... I look like Big Macintosh!" Fluttershy looked up with pleading in her eyes. "Oh, Fluttershy, I can't let you go. It would ruin our business. "*cough* O... O-our b-b... *gag*" "Yes, you mule. But I can't tell you." She grabbed the wing and slapped Fluttershy with it. "You know... I'll be right back." The blood red pegasus sprinted off. Fluttershy was hurt. Badly. Would she survive? She didn't understand... What caused Rainbow Dash to do this? Could she survive? She'd try. She shakily got up, and took her first step toward freedom. Another step. Another. And then she fell. She was exhausted. She'd have to keep going, though. For Ponyville. For Applejack and Rarity! For all of her animals that loved her! "K-keep... going..." She tried to reassure herself as she got back. But when she took her fifth step, Rainbow Dash reappeared, holding the deformed body of Twilight. "Hi! I'm back!" She leaned on Fluttershy and tripped her, causing her to fall on the hard ground. Rainbow Dash help up the body; the spot where the horn previously was... it was horrible. Her face was deformed and bloody. Her arm was bent in a direction that it shouldn't have been in. Fluttershy almost threw up after seeing it. "Oh, poor Fluttershy. Let's get you out. Oh Fluttershy, let's stay and play with Twilight and Pinkie!" Rainbow's eye twitched as she laughed yet again. She looked at the body... her grin turned to a frown. Her frown turned to a grin as she tackled a mirror, breaking it. Shards pierced through her skull. "OH CELESTIA, MAKE THE TORTURE STOP. I LOVE YOU FLUTTERSHY! I HATE YOU! I LOVE YOU! HHHHeeeellpp..." Rainbow Dash screamed  and smashed her head against the wall multiple times, knocking herself out. Fluttershy, sitting in a pool of blood and puke, silently stared and gaped at the site. Now, it was time to get out. Twilight was dead, and Rainbow Dash probably was too. Just in case, she brought the body with her as she slowly exited the horrible maze. Beep. Beep. Beep. Fluttershy's heart monitor beeped. She seemed normal. After witnessing one friend die in front of her and the other one almost killing her. Rainbow Dash almost made it. Almost. She was barely alive by the time Fluttershy got her out, and by the time she was in the hospital she was taking her last breaths. But the mystery puzzled many nurses. Princess Celestia cancelled the Nightmare night festival for 5 years in sadness, and tore down the mirror maze in anger. Nopony ever found Pinkie Pie's body. They did find evidence of rats in the facility, though. Also they found a few dead ones, a pool of blood, pillars, and guts spilled on the floor. They never did solve the case, but watch out; you'll never know when your best friend would snap.
