Darkness…

That was all I could see around me.

This wasn't like in The Corridors, this was pure darkness.

Was this, The Void?

Am I... Dying?

I desperately tried to move my body, just to realize that I was floating, tried see my arms, they are ok, but my skin looks pallid...

I tried to touch my legs, they are ok, but I couldn't feel the warm of my skin...

Ears, mouth, nose, eye- ouch, yes, they are all fine, cold at touch, but fine.

Back, stomach, chest. Uhh? My chest is wet, but, it’s not water, it feels kind of viscous...

Blood? I tried to smell it.

The metallic odor is hard to not acknowledge, its blood, but…

It is mine, or...

From someone else?

I tried to impulse myself to go to the surface, no matter how much I tried, I could not reach it, not even the floor.

I even couldn't feel the mana in my surroundings, just the energy inside me, disappearing at every second since I recovered my consciousness.

Just, how did I get here?

Was I really… Dying?

I tried to remember something, anything, from before waking up in this place, but everything was blurry.

How did all this happen...?

Rose Fire Month, Day 12, Year 537. Dis' Chambers. 4:13 PM

“Are you sure this is safe? I mean, I don’t want to appear in the middle of a volcano, deep in the ocean, in the space, or INSIDE a mountain” Asked a dark haired tall figure wearing a long dark blue cloak standing in the middle of a magic circle engraved with runes, which were shining in a silver color.

“Yes, human, it would be safe, Chronos and I already take care of the coordinates and time of your arrival, what you must be worry about, is of the performance of the spirit here present . Now, I bid thee farewell, I must go for now, after all, I have other issues to take care of, and I can’t be everywhere” Said with a smile, a now gone, tall semi-transparent figure, a long silver coat was over his body, and a platinum crown was adorning his now gone head.

“But, aren't you suppose to be omnipresent...”

“Come on Z, there‘s nothing to worry about, you will be fine, I guess…” Said, while shrugging and with a half-smile on his muzzle, a tall serpentine figure with a deer antler and a goat horn on his head, wearing a long white overcoat that cover his whole body and tail, with an unusually large purple rock in a necklace adorning his neck, standing outside the magic circle.

“Dis, I swear, in the Gods' names that, if I die, i will come back from Hell itself and drag you with me!” The human said with anger. After a few seconds, he sigh “Now, let’s review the plans for the last time befo…”

“AGAIN!?!?” Interrupted the draconequus. “We have done that at least, 3 times!!!”

“Quit the drama, Dis” Said the human, with his right hand open all over his face.  “Better be safe than sorry”

“Ugh, whatever” said the spirit. He then snapped his left claw, while with his right paw he catch a scroll that appeared in the air in front of him, he then unrolled it and start reading it “Ahem, I, Zeni Winterfield, son of The Crim…”

“Dis… I said review the plans, not read my freaking biography” Said a clearly annoyed Zeni, whose right eye was twitching.

“Bah, you are not funny” The spirit then throw the scroll behind him, and when this hit the floor, it started to burn in pink flames.

“I can be funny when I try, besides, this is serious, I’m going to an unexplored land, to retrieve something YOU ‘lost’, now, tell me: Why, in Sylph’s name, I have to do your job?”

“Why? Because you love me, of course” Dis was now giggling like a teenager while Zeni was glaring daggers at him. “Fine, it’s because I can’t go there, I have duties to fulfill, satisfy multitudes with my charm, and take a lot of naps, and someone had to be the sacrifice ” He then start whimper while a couple of tears were falling down from his eyes to his muzzle.

“Ok, so…” Zeni said, as he gathered his hands and rubbed them, totally ignoring his friend. “I have to do your dirty work in this land too”

“Yeah, and you will be very well rewarded. Oh! And don’t forget to bring me a souvenir…”

“I’ll bring you pain if something goes wrong with the teleportation.”

“So, that’s it? Violence is your answer to everything?”

“Just to the right questions, my old friend” Said the Magus, as he laughed while Dis facepawned.

“You are REALLY not funny.”

“Oh, come on! Just give me this one before I leave...”

“Forget it! So, are you not gonna take Frostprey with you? I mean, you are like, best buds, partners in crime, the chimi of your changa, the ice of you-”

“I get it, I get it...” Interrupted the human. “I’m not gonna bring her because it may be dangerous, and it will be better if I am on my own”

“You still blame yourself about what happened to Bea-?”

“I’m not blaming myself anymore” The human interrupt him with an angry tone. “I’m just taking precautions.”

“So, your ‘precautions’ are just keeping everyone away from you? What about Gale? What about me and the Guardians?

“My Father and all of you are strong enough to protect yourselves.”

“Then, you are saying that she and your group were weak...”

“NO! They were just… in the wrong place, at the wrong time an-"

“Don’t try to blame Chronos and Esp, you, more than anyone else, knows that this kind of things HAPPEN for a greater reason” Said the draconequus as he handed over a glove with a diamond encrusted on it.

“I know, I know…” He sigh while adjusting the glove on his left hand, with the gem facing the back of his hand “You didn’t touch anything inside the Gallery, right?”

“Nope, I just put some things in there for you to remember me.”

“Ok…Let’s just start with this, the sooner I leave, the sooner I will be able to return. Any last advice before I leave? How about this land? What should I expect?”

“That, my friend, is a surprise” Said the spirit, with a half-smile in his muzzle. “And don’t forget these” He tossed a belt with several boxes attached to it to the human.

“Thanks, I can’t believe I almost forget my tools.”

“Tools? They are just a bunch of weird cards that you mess around with.”

“Shut up... And let’s get this over.”

“Aye aye, Captain!” The spirit put the mysterious necklace between his pawn and claw “Oh, and Zeni," He called him, and looked at him for the last time with a serious face "Good luck”

“Thanks pal... I will need it”.

The Draconequus then proceeds to chant the ritual needed to activate the magic circle to transport the Magus to his destiny. While the spell was charging, the runes on the magic circle start to glowing in a fierce red and silver color and formed 5 new runed circles around the human. Sadly, they didn't notice a big blue bird that quickly entered the cave and flew directly to the human, passing through a circle, until it was too late; the runes of said circle where modified by the creature when it passed through it and soon, said creature and the human disappeared leaving behind a very unstable white sphere, the which exploded and covered all the cave on smoke and ignited several fires around the chamber.

“That was not supposed to happen, that was NOT supposed to happen" Said Dis deadpanned wondering what this will do to the Magus and his newly recruited ally.

December 5, Year 1567 ADR (After Discord's Reign) Equestria: Royal Castle.  9:32 AM.

“Tia, what is the meaning of this? Why are you in such a hurry? Why do you have the chest with the Elements of Harmony here?” Asked a tall dark blue colored mare, adorning her rippled and sparkled mane was a black clown, her fur was a dark blue color and, wearing a dark chest plate with the design of a crescent moon on it and on her thigh too and silver colored shoes adorned her hooves.

“Luna, not long ago, when you were sleeping, I sensed a disturbance in the magical field inside the Everfree Forest, something, or someone appeared in there, we are going with the Elements of Harmony to investigate this.” Answered a taller white colored mare, adorning her rippled and multi-toned mane was a golden crown, which was incrusted with an oval-shaped amethyst in the middle, same design used on her chest plate, on her thigh was the image of a sun and golden colored shoes adorned her hooves.

“Well, maybe somepony was practicing their teleport spells and that was what you felt, why don’t we send some guards to investigate this, instead of going us with the Elements?” Said in an annoyed tone the Princess of the Moon and the Night.

“I am afraid this is not the case, my dear sister, this disturbance, this, entity, create a disturbance far greater that one made by a unicorn, and it will be dangerous If we send the guards, we don’t know if it is an enemy, or an ally, we must investigate this, at once.” Said the Princess of the Sun and the Day, while charging her horn with magic.

“Fine, but if this is some kind of misunderstand, you will pay for waking me up.” Said, now giggling, the younger of the sisters while she was approaching her older sister.

“I just hope, whatever this is, doesn't bring chaos to our homeland…” And, with that said, both sisters disappeared in a flash of light.

Soon, Celestia will regret saying those last words...
