Shining's mind control: Safety

I awoke a few weeks later with an empty feeling, the same routine was boring me now… I needed some excitement. Something new. A challenge. Bolero had said before we got married that he wanted a child. But being stallions this was near impossible. Only near though, the dark magic I had learned to control had all different weird affects. One such spell was the cell binding spell you could bind 2 different cells or DNA and create something.

Bolero and I had a long conversation on this…

“So we can have a child? Shine…How did you find this??”

“I saw it in one of the dark magic spell books…WHY?! This is what you wanted…”

“Yes but what happens if it goes wrong and a mutant comes out of the spell!”

“We can test it first…”

“And are you going to carry a child for 9 months because I don’t want to and I don’t want you to either!”

“But…”

“NO SHINING! NO!” He had never shouted at me before…

“I thought this is what you wanted.” I was almost in tears I had finally found a way for us to have a family without adoption and he was angry.

“I do but that dark magic is turning you into him!!” Bolero pointed to a flag of Sombra. I had just stopped another attack and this was something we confiscated.

“I I its….not I I I am still the husband you married…. I I I’m still me…” I was fully crying. I ran out of the throne room to our chambers. He didn’t understand… all my research everything was because he wanted a child, a child he could call his own. I had searched for hours, days and even months trying to find away 2 stallions could make a child together. I had finally found it and he had shouted at me. saying I was no better that Sombra… the hateful unicorn.

I went ahead with the experiment anyway… I had to see if it did work! I practised on different animals with a lot of help from the crystal empires best scientists. We took DNA from mouse A and some more from mouse B, Both females. I cast the spell on the DNA binding them together. They then worked there magic and then injected it into mouse C another female. I waited for 3 long months. I didn’t say a word to Bolero. We made up and he said that I needed to stop using the dark magic so much. I was called down to the lab there mouse C had baby mice. Fit and healthy. They were fine as if they were naturally birth and bread.

I along with the scientists took the evidence to Bolero… you can imagine how that went…

“SHINE! I TOLD YOU NO!!!”

“Well I didn’t listen. You can see it worked. Why can’t we have a child?”

“Because….Because I’m not risking a a a….”

“A what? What’s there to risk! We have proof its safe and the babies are fit and healthy as if they were naturally born.”

“A pony’s life. We would need a female Pony to carry and birth our child who would do that for us!”

“Lots of ponies would! Baby we can have a family…”

“And what about the risk of the baby dying or the female…”

“BOLERO! Females risk that anyway! Child birth isn’t perfect and still has risks even naturally!” I was so confused then I saw it…

“But…”

“NO! No more buts…What’s really wrong! Have you decided you don’t want a family with me?”

“No shine…”

“Then why? Why don’t you want children with me?”

“I’M SCARED!”

“What? Why?”

“I’m scared that we would have us anymore… I’m scared I will care so much about my duties that I won’t love it. I’m scared that we will not be as close…”

“What baby you’re never going to lose me… I will always love you! I will always be this intimate as we are now…”

“But I have read lots of stuff that when a baby come in the family the couples don’t get on very well they start to hate each other and even get rid of the child in some cases!”

“There just exaggerated stories and not every couple is the same baby.”

“I’m just not ready yet.”

“Okay we can wait but I want one soon…”

6 months later... We did the procedure. After we had a long sit down with Celestia and Luna. Bolero felt confident to have ago at having a child. Luna wanted to be the carrier for us. I cast the spell and she was injected. Every month we visited to see how everything was going and to say hi.

We waited 9 and a ½ long months until finally we was sent a letter from Celestia saying:

Dear Nephews,
I’m happy to finally announce that Luna has gone into labour with your new baby. Please come to Canterlot as soon as possible to meet you new addition to your family.
See you soon
Your auntie Celestia…
P.S bring some supplies for a few nights stay xx

We already had things packed when they said the baby could be there any day. We took our Royal crystal train as Crystal ponies didn’t have wings so we couldn’t fly. The crystal train was fast though.

We arrived in Canterlot about an hour later ready to see our new-born. We walked through the castle to the royal doctors. Outside a room were my parents, twilight, twilight’s friends and Blueblood. I hugged twilight and Bolero hugged his brother. We then asked where Celestia and Luna were. Just then the doctor walked out bowing to us.

“My Princes of the Crystal Empire. It was an honour to deliver your new baby…”

“Please don’t tell!”

“We want to find out when we see it… thank you doctor.”

“Your welcome My Prince’s your baby is it there.” The doctor then pointed to the room he had come from.

“Shine shall we.”

“I’m a little nervous now…” I just wanted to know if it was a colt or a filly.

We walked into the room to see Luna holding a cute little bundle of fur. The baby was light pink with blue and yellow striped mane and tail. Her wings and horn were very prominent.

“Congratulations My nephews. I am happy to give you your beautiful baby filly. Thank you for allowing me to carry her.”

“Thank you for giving her to us Luna…” As Bolero said this Luna gave me our new baby…

“Shine…?”

“She’s perfect…” yes I did cry, with her in my arms the whole world felt right…

“She’s also an alicorn! How!” Bolero asked I was just happy to have her I didn’t care how. She was perfect in my eyes. My little filly.

“Simple you’re an alicorn” The doctor explained.

“And Shining has very powerful magic the smoke coming from his eyes is a show of power…” Luna continued.

“So what are you going to call her?” Celestia asked with the softest tone.

“Skyla.” We both said in unison. and as if on cue Skyla made a sound...

"I think she likes it..." Twilight said as she walked in. we spent the next few days caring and showing ponies our new baby until we went back to the empire for the Crystalling.

Wow I really need to write in this more often… it’s been a whole year since I wrote in this last…

Well I guess being parents is harder than you would have thought the first 6 months flew past and every moment was amazing watching Skyla roll to crawling to now walking. I kept using my dark magic and the blue smoke is the 24/7 Bolero told me off but I still use it. He’s grateful went we are trying to do our duties and I use a bouncy shield! Stops her from getting hurt and she's free to run around the castle the shield bends to her movement is soft to the touch and will move through ornaments and bounces off hard surfaces… This means she can play and we can perform our royal duties.

It’s been haptic but I love it. Our family if complete and I would never look back now… Bolero and I still have sex almost every night and have relaxing time and personal time… Why was he so worried? We have the castle staff and 2 Nannies to look after our little bundle of joy. , if need be….
