We Remember You

It has been way too long since I last saw him. Twilight thought to herself before starting to tear up. She remembered that he wouldn't want her to be sad so she wiped the tear and smiled.

"I will bring my friends so they can say hello with me. He would love that." Twilight told herself while looking at a mirror. She was just getting ready to have a full day of fun because it was their annual Pony Pet Play Date. She was very excited.

"Hurry up Twilight!" yelled Rainbow Dash from her front door.

Twilight snapped out of her wandering thoughts. She hurried down her stairway so she doesn't keep her friend waiting.

"Don't worry, I am almost ready!" Twilight yelled while going down her stairs. She then opened her door to see her five best friends waiting with excitement. They embraced into a big group hug while their pets were running or flying outside of Twilight's home.

Twilight then spoke with excitement, "I have a plan for all of us that we can do this evening!"

"Ooh, what is it?!" Pinkie questioned with excitement.

Twilight just smiled and said, "I will tell you later today."

The six friends go to their normal get together play area. They were either playing with their pets or just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful, sunny day.

"It's such gorgeous day out here, is it not?" Rarity asks her cat Opal. Her cat mewed in agreement.

Without any of her friends looking, Twilight slowly walked up a hill and stared into the sky. I wonder if my friends would be okay if I ask them now. Twilight thought.

Fluttershy then asked Rarity a question, "What is Twilight doing?"

Rarity then took a second to ponder about Fluttershy's question, "I don't have clue at all."

Rainbow then spoke up asking, "Do you guys think it has to do something about Spike?"

The five friends nodded in agreement and looked back at their friend that is still on top of the hill. None of them knew where Spike was but they knew he would back home.

"Y'all think that's what Twi has planned for us later today?" Applejack asks her friends after Twilight was staring into the sky atop a hill.

Just as Applejack asked that question, Twilight asked her friends a question, "Do you girls think you can come with me to visit Spike?"

The five friends looked at each other before the all responded saying, "Yes."

"What time do you want us to come by?" Rainbow Dash asked Twilight.

Twilight answered, "Maybe sometime around 4 this afternoon. Meet at my library and then we'll head out."

Twilight smiled. The friends all went back to their play date. After a few more hours of playing, they went their separate ways to head home.

Twilight goes home and waits for her friends to come. The first to arrive was Pinkie Pie who walked in with a plate of treats. Rarity was next to enter with another one of her beautiful dresses that she made. Fluttershy was the third to arrive followed by Applejack and Rainbow Dash.

"You girls ready to go?" Twilight asked her friends. They all nodded and left the library. They walked to a field of green grass and patches of flowers. Ahead of them was an object that stood out compared to the rest of the flowers. The stone looking object had some words engraved in itself. It read:

Here lies Spike

He will always be remembered

He was there when no one else was

Best friend, Family

#1 Assistant

The five friends couldn't believe their eyes. The dragon they all knew and loved was gone. They all started to cry.

"What hap-" Rarity was about to ask before she started to cry again.

"I don't know. I wasn't with him a-at the t-t-time. He was away at Canterlot with Princess Celestia." Twilight spoke between a few burst of tears. She continued speaking, "I heard he was doing fine but had to go to a hospital for some problems he was having. I heard a few hours later that he was gone. They said he got really sick and they were trying their best to keep him healthy. I guess his body couldn't keep up with his sickness."

"My poor Spikey-wikey," Rarity said.

"It was nice g-getting to know you," Fluttershy said before going back to cry again.

"We'll miss ya little buddy," Applejack spoke before setting her hat down.

"Have fun up there Spike," Pinkie said.

"I wish we hung out some more," Rainbow said before sitting down.

"We'll never forget you, my Number One Assistant," Twilight spoke after crying.

The six friends looked at each other and grabbed a flower to set on top of the burial site. They all took a moment of silence for their loss. They all walked towards Twilight's home. They sat down in a circle and they all spoke about their favorite moments with Spike.

Rarity was the first to speak, "I remember the day he got me that fire ruby. It was the most generous thing he has done for me."

"Oh yeah! It was the day we celebrated his birthday!" Pinkie excitedly spoke.

Rarity then looked down and softly spoke, "It was also the same day he confessed he loved me. Though I cut him off, I knew what he loved me."

Everyone looked at her and they hugged her.

Fluttershy was next to speak, "I remember when I first saw Spike with you Twilight. I was nervous when you were introducing yourself but then I saw Spike. He was so cute. I also followed you two home and he told me his whole life story. It was amazing."

Applejack was the third to speak, "I remember the day he dedicated himself to be at my service until he was able to repay his debt to me. What kicker that was to try an' make him stop."

Pinkie Pie was the fourth to speak, "I remember the day when we were at the Dragon Migration and he was a little embarassed for not being like on of those big, scary dragons."

"I also remembered when Twilight, Rarity and I followed him to the dragon nest area thing. It was awesome!" Rainbow Dash spoke. Rarity and Twilight nodded while laughing a bit from the time. Rainbow Dash then asked, "How in the world did they not think of our dragon costume to not be like one of them?"

"Maybe because we were just too fabulous for them to think that," Rarity said.

They all laughed at Rarity's comment. Twilight brought out a basket full of food so they can eat then they all shared a toast to remember Spike.

"To Spike!" they said together. They partied like there was no tomorrow in the remembrance of Spike.
