When the fate of a kingdom is entirely up to biological chance, Celestia searches for a means to combat an ever-present menace, and finds exactly what she is looking for.
The Kingdom of Equestria has a problem; namely, it suffers from poor birth rates among those most exposed to magic, such as those assigned to high positions of power, or their immediate acquaintances. As such, the princesses have searched long and hard for something, or someone, who can aid them in keeping Equestria together.
One day, they find exactly what they were looking for.
