Load Full StorySunset and her friends stood near the statue at Canterlot High on the opposite side of of the portal to the land of Equestria.
"Okay, is everyone ready?" Twilight asked.
"We're all here." Fluttershy said quietly.
"Ready to do our work with style." Rarity stated.
"Are ya' sure this will work?" Applejack asked.
"Come on, AJ! Don't you want to know if there's another world connected to each mirror!?" Pinkie Pie chimed in.
"That's not what we're here for, Pinkie." Sunset sighed. "We're here to try and fix the portal to Equestria using our new magic."
"Then let's fire these babies up!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. All seven girls took off their necklaces and let them float towards the statue. Instead of going towards the portal to Equestria, they soared to the other side of the structure.
"I think the crystals are telling us something." Sunset moved her arm towards the mirror before her arm was pulled in. She tried to remove her arm from the pull, but she soon found herself with her friends trying their best to pull her out by her other wrist.
Slowly opening her eyes, the first thing Sunset saw was her friends sprawled along what looked like bleachers.
"Ugh... Is everyone alright?" she asked. Her friends nodded in response as they sat up to look at their surroundings. After picking up the crystal necklaces again, the first thing that struck them was that they were sitting at what seemed to be a crowded racetrack will with... cars with eyes and mouths in the audience.
"Okay, this has gone from weird right on down to freaky town." Rainbow Dash stated. The rainbow-haired girl then noticed the race cars lining the track. "I take it back. This is gonna be awesome! Especialy if we he's here."
Pinkie Pie caught on and nodded. "Right... him! Uh... who is 'he' again.
"Who are ya'll talking about?" the cow girl asked.
"We've seen this place before in a movie!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "We're in the world of Cars!"
"I do believe I've heard Sweetie Belle talk about that movie with her crusader friends." Rarity stated.
"I think the crystals sent us here and frankly, I don't care why. I love this movie!" the rainbow haired girl cheered.
"Hey there!" a voice called out. Turning their heads, the girls were greeted to a rusty tow truck with two buck teeth and he was wearing a headset. Rarity tried her best to keep any outbursts about his appearance while Rainbow Dash mentally squealed. "I haven't seen you fellas around here. My name's Mater. What are yours?"
The Rainbooms were taken back by the tow truck's hospitality. Applejack couldn't detect any bad intentions from his tone or facial expressions, so she replied. "My name's Applejack, and these are my friends, Twilight, Sunset, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity." It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Wait a minute... You don't look like any cars I've ever seen... are you all aliens?" Mater asked.
"Well technically, yes." replied Twilight. "But before you call authorities, please hear us out. We act and behave, just like you and the all the other cars in this world. We eat, sleep, have emotions, and we even have car racing in our world too."
"Shoot, I didn't think we were that similar, but this takes the cake." the tow truck laughed. "Oh, I almost forgot, the race is about to begin, I'm rootin' for my best friend-"
Before Mater could finish, a voice in his headset spoke loud enough for the girls to hear as well.
"Mater! We need you back at pit row!" an italian voice shouted through Mater's headgear.
"That's my cue!" The rusty tow truck started driving back to his station. "Hope ya'll are rootin' for #95!"
The girls took their seats as the announcer started.
"Good evening, race fans! Wecome to Los I'm Bob Cutlass, here with my good friend, Darrell Cartrip. We're about to start what may turn out to be a historic day for racing."
"Bob, my oil pressure's through the roof right now. If this gets any more exciting, they're gonna have to tow me outta the booth!" Darrell added.
"He sure reminds me of Pinkie." AJ stated as the hyper-active pony eagerly munched through her box of popcorn.
"Right you are Darrell!" Bob continued. "Two cars are tied for the season points lead, heading into the final race of the season, will win the season title and the Piston Cup." A large screen lit up in the center of the racetrack, showing off a sleek, black endurance car with a big spoiler and the number "20" on his sides. "Jackson Storm. As newcomer to the Piston Cup, he certainly has been sweeping up the competition.
"He along with a good chunk of all those competitors are a new brand of endurance racers." Darrell Cartrip added.
"Equipped with the latest technology, their ready for whatever the track and other racers can throw at them." Bob Cutlass stated.
"But don't forget Lightning McQueen!" Cartrip exclaimed. The screen then lit up, showing a red stock car with a small spoiler, a lightning bolt design that slowly turned into a flame with the number "95" on both sides of him and the roof along with several logos that said "Rust-eze". "He's been wining Piston Cups left and right for the past 10 years now. Will this be his eleventh win, or will Jackson Storm win his first Piston Cup?"
Rainbow Dash was in complete awe as she stared at the trophy displayed on the big screen.
"It's time to find out. The racers are off to a rolling start." Bob Cutlass announced.
"Those paint jobs are absolutely gorgeous!" Rarity squealed. "I think I now have a new idea for pigments on my next line of dresses."
As the green flag dropped, the racers' engines sprung to life as the roars drowned out the cheering.
"Boogity, boogity, boogity, boys! Let's go racin'!"
