Author's Note
Hiya! This is my first fanfic, tell me what you guys think! The only difference from this world to the real Equestria, it that the ponies adapt more of a human nature, like using cabinets/handles, and drinking coffee, and 'holding' things, and using a computer. Maybe not that many differences but still enough to define the story.
I made this fanfic after my bird, Rocky. Tell me if you want me to continue this story or not. everything helps guys! <3
PS: If anyone want to make a drawing for Rocky Spirit please PM me
PSS: I will try to update soon in a week or so
PSSS: Emphasis on soon
PSSSS: lol

Chapter 1: Morning
I slowly pried my eyes open from the seemingly-inescapable grasp of sleep. I glanced around the room I was in. The sight of boxes big and small labeled 'Rocky' spread around my room reminded me that I wasn't in my old home anymore as I sleepily rolled to my side. Eventually, I freed myself from the dazed torpidity and tried to roll to my other side toward the edge of the mattress. Half opening my eyes, I was bounded by the pleasant morning rays of dawn gleaming though my new window, and the soft gentle songs of the morning birds. I was greeted to the left by an outstretching field dotted with what seemed to be apple trees, and to the right was a view of hundreds of houses with ponies sprinkled here and there. It was astonishing how my room got such a view, at least four miles out. I slowly got up to a seated position, still half asleep, and glanced at the clock on my nightstand.
"8:07," I said with a yawn.
"Fair enough; I can have time to get everything ready for the day," I mumbled to myself as I stumbled to my new bathroom. I got out a comb from a box and groomed my yellow fur. My mane was a mess, so I combed it down to the usual style and washed my face with cold water. The cold brought me to my senses and I became fully awake. I quietly pushed open my door and walked around the heaps of boxes down the hall to my younger sister's door to wake her up.
"Hello? Anypony here?" I asked as I lightly pushed open the door.
"Ughhhh go away, Rocky," she mumbled to me groggily. "Just a few more minutes," she insisted as she pulled the covers over her messy mane.
"Not a second over," I joked as I started to walk out. "Want anything for breakfast?" I asked her.
"The usual," she replied in an annoyed tone.
"Sure, Javelin," I softly replied to the amber colored pegasus.
I began to walk down the hall into our new kitchen. The floor plan made it so the kitchen was connected to the living room and the dining room. The window above the sink shined rays of light into the room that illuminated the whole living room. The cabinets were made of sharp looking black ebony, complete with chrome silver handles and white granite counter top. The oven was a conventional model, with a stainless steel exhaust fan over it that completed the kitchen. The kitchen is small, but with enough space to fill our glassware in and workable enough for two ponies to cook at the same time.
"Hmmm," I said out loud admiring the modern look of the new house. "I like it," I stated with a smile.
"Like what, hun?" asked my mother with a yawn as she walked into the living room. She took a moment to stare at the emptiness of the new room, speckled with boxes her and there. A light grin came up to her face when she set her eyes on me and the kitchen.
"Wow, it's pretty nice for only two hundred thousand bits," she said examining the white granite counter top. She loved baking. She made just about anything so seeing how nice the kitchen was made her face gleam with joy.
"Last night was so stressful that we just fell asleep right after we come in, huh?" she asked me with warm smile
"Yeah, the house really is a beauty," I replied rubbing my leg with my hoof. "Want some coffee?"
"Sounds great, Rocky," she said and turned around to prepare breakfast. I didn't ask her to, but she's a helpful pony. Her name was Viridian Cocoa, Viridian for short, but me and my sister don't ever call her that. She was a brown earth pony with a flowing crimson mane and maroon streaks with a spoon in a mixing bowl for a cutie mark. She had black pupils with a hint of innocence in them, like you could tell her anything that bothered you and she would understand.
Just then, my sister Javelin came stumbling through the hall. Her pale blue mane was not combed, but she didn't mind. She was an amber-orange pegasus and wings that were bigger than other ponies her size, which gave her the advantage of learning to fly much earlier that the rest of her friends. She had beautiful hazel eyes that were almost the same shade as fields of golden wheat. She had a cutie mark with two Javelins crossing each other. She got it when we were throwing javelins in our other house's back yard. When she landed one in the bullseye, it just kind of happened. I had a cutie mark with an electric guitar, it happened when my dad showed me how to play the electric guitar, and after a few hours of tampering with it, my cutie mark just randomly appeared. My dad got killed in a car accident that same week. Javelin and I took it hard, but mom took it the hardest. She wouldn't cheer up no matter what we did for her. She eventually attended therapy for a couple months and now she is fine. We never brought up my father's death ever since.
"Good morning!" she said passionately as she stretched out her wings, one at a time.
"Look who decided to wake up," I joked at her. She shot me an annoyed look, but with a hint of a playful smile
"Whatever Rocky," she replied back sticking her tongue out. I stuck my tongue out back at her with a grin. She walked over to the table stools and had a seat.
Glancing around she said, "Looks like this house has a good modern look to it, eh?" said my sister looking around.
"Yup, mom really likes it and I think my room has a nice view," I replied
"The oven works well," said my mom. "We need to start unpacking those boxes though"
"I'll probably get to it sooner or later," I said
"Me too, I'll probably have nothing to do," Javelin chimed in. I had finished making coffee for me and mom, and mom is almost done with cooking breakfast. Javelin didn't like coffee as much as mom and I did. We carried the food to the new dinner table and we all sat down and began eating.
"This is great, mom," said Javelin
"Yeah, it is awesome!" I added. I had already finished my toast and was helping myself to seconds.
"Well I am glad you all love it; it's what I do," Mom joked with a grin. I gulped down my coffee and finished my toast, and started to head for the door.
"Where are you going?" asked mom with a curious look on her face. I looked at her and replied,
"Thought I might get a look at the town for the first time," I said. The look on her face softened, as if she was suddenly looking at another pony.
"Have fun hun!" "Bye, Rocky!" I heard them say.
"Bye, I'll be back later," I replied to them. With the flick of my hoof, I opened the door and I was off.
