The sun falls, the dead rises.
Ever since the war between Celestia and Queen Chrysalis broke out... Disease took hold of the once thriving land...
But...
It wasn't a normal disease...
Ponies rose from the dead and would rip flesh out while you were still alive. It seems that they only cared about the food they hunt for.
Some in small herds, a herd of cannibals.
Some just walk alone.
The mane six were told specifically to not help the princesses for they fear it would shatter the elements -- Queen Chrysalis had grown stronger since her and her minions were defeated...

Twilight quickly ran down her crystal stairs and packed everything she needed to take off and seek shelter, even try and find a cure to this sudden disease. Her brother was now one of those decaying ponies, Cadence was with Flurryheart only Celestia knows where.
Spike was the first one to go it seemed, he took off one day never to be seen again... One of them must've got him while he was out on his walk.
Her friends gathered down in the throne room, Rainbow holding the most weapons of course. Pinkie's mane was flat, Rarity had worried wrinkles...everypony was worried.
Fluttershy was sobbing, her friend Discord was another one who was torn to shreds, you would think he would easily come up with something but... Before he could take off into the air his wings were torn off by the cannibalistic ponies..
"Girls.. There's no reason to panic, we can get through this ok?" Twilight smiled to try and ease the pain that was fluttering around in the air.
Rarity rubbed her messy mane, her pupils were the size of a speck of dust "I-I'm...sorry to say my dear... This is... This is not 'ok'..." She addressed and looked around frantically.
Why couldn't they just simply use their magic to blast these deadly disease infected ponies dead? The magic they held did not affect the dead. The only thing that could kill them was weapons, which Rainbow held, magic would only work so long before the dead would rise again sometimes even worse than how they fell.
Pinkie pie nodded and began twitching "Y-Yeah... These p-ponies... They're not normal..." She sighed.
Apple jack was comforting Fluttershy over the loss of her friend.
Rainbow dash piped up and placed the weapons on the table "Yeah! Look Twilight, this apocalypse could go on for years now, we lost so many already. We lost fucking Discord!" She groaned and rubbed her forehead from the memory of seeing Discord torn to shreds.
Twilight flattened her ears and nodded at Rainbows sentence. She stuttered for a moment "I... I know..." She sighed softly.
The yellow pegasus sobbed more after what her blue friend said, as the country pony gave a glare at Rainbow.
Rainbow coughed and picked up a knife, "Okay girls pick your choice." She winked, "I stole them from a few shops before Equestria went down the shit hole after I heard the news about the war, decided to prepare myself, eh?"
There were lots of knives, machetes, and different types of guns ranging from rifles to pistols.
Twilight slowly picked up a glock 23 and floated it around, Rainbow pointed at the ammo that was on the table as well "Use those bullets to kill the things outside if they try and hurt you, don't use up too much ammo, we would have to go scavenging to look for ammo." The blue Pegasus handed a specific knife to Applejack that requested a spear point.
Rarity flinched after Rainbow gave a brous blade to her, "Aim for the head." She winked at Rarity.
The blue mare seemed so calm about everything like she was so excited to just get outside and kill.
The pegasus looked over at Fluttershy "What do you want to use?" She showed her the vast collection of weapons.
Fluttershy weakly walked up to the table and slowly picked up a benelli B76 with her wing, she made sure not to put her feather directly on the trigger, knowing it would shoot. Rainbow dash smiled "That's a bad boy." She snickered and looked at Pinkie.
"Now. What do you want?" She questioned as the pink mare walked up to Rainbow.
Twilight stared blankly outside seeing there was indeed dead walking about, a familiar filly walked lonely with one of her wings torn up, she quickly closed the curtains once she saw it was Scootaloo.
Pinkie Pie chose a machete, a golok machete to be exact, she ran the blade softly against her hoof and blinked, looking over at her alicorn friend, "So, Twi, when are we going to head out?..."
Twilight flinched and continued to hold the pistol securely, aiming it down at the ground just in case.
"I uh..." She began "Once everypony is ready..." Twilight glanced over at Rainbow who seemed to want to give a speech about how to keep themselves safe, she nodded in acknowledgement.
Rainbow coughed and flew up in the air, "Listen up, you guys probably don't know how to use these things but when you feel like you're in danger, go up to the dead pony or whoever the pony is, slice their head open or shoot them in the brain." She paused for a moment and continued forth, "Give no mercy. Only death. It doesn't matter if that pony is alive or dead, DO. NOT. TRUST." She looked around at her friends, flapping her wings silently "Do not leave each other behind, I most definitely won't leave any of you behind." She smiled and lowered herself down to the ground and her hooves met the floor.
The pegasus grabbed herself a rifle and placed the sling around her neck in an easy access, she also placed the rest of the weapons in a bag filled with food as well and gave them to Applejack since she was the most strongest and could carry a heavy load.
Twilight nodded and looked around "Everypony ready?..."
The ponies all nodded and held their weapons close, Twilight allowed everypony to huddle close to each other as all of them stood to their hooves. The alicorn slowly opened the door and scrunched her muzzle in disgust as the smell of decay reached her nose.
She aimed her gun and looked around.
There were corpses and even some of the lonely dead were feasting on the ponies, she began galloping to the exit of ponyville, followed by her friends.
Fluttershy stayed close to AJ after catching a glimpse of Discords corpse. He was screaming and trying to get away from the ponies, as much as she wanted to help him she couldn't.
"Fluttershy!" His voice was soon cut off and replaced with agonizing screams by the dead ripping his lips off.
She sobbed more and stayed close to her friends, keeping the gun secure in her wing. Twilight heard his cries of pain and tried not to focus on him.
Rainbow dash took the lead and lead the group away from Ponyville. They all soon approached a small home in the middle of nowhere, Ponyville was now in the distance.
Twilight looked over at Fluttershy and placed a wing on her withers and gave her a comforting look, "It's okay Fluttershy..." She smiled.
Rainbow dash slowly opened the door and whistled, perking her ears when she heard nothing in response. Since the dead were attracted to noise and the smell of blood, she was glad there was no response but still wanted to make sure there wasn't any campers inside.
The blue mare slowly entered the home, followed by her friends. She checked all of the rooms and stared blankly once she came across a specific room.
She saw a dead mare up against the wall with various cuts on her hooves... Self-harm and suicide. She looked on the wall seeing it spelled out 'CELESTIA FORGIVE ME.' In blood.
She stared at the mare and looked over at her friend "Rarity! Give me your knife real quick." She placed her gun down as her unicorn friend came galloping to her, she levitated the knife to her as she nearly vomited after seeing the mare.
"Dear Celestia..." Rarity groaned in disgust and walked away to her other friends.
Rainbow dash took the knife in her wing and gripped onto it. She slowly walked up to the dead mare and slammed the knifes blade in her head, she pulled out and repeated the process a few times.

Twilight blocked up the door and closed all curtains, she looked around in the kitchen and was glad once she saw there was many amounts of food.
She wasn't surprised, it was just the start of the apocalypse and many ponies thought the elements of harmony would save them all... But it wasn't like that...
Rainbow came back and closed the door from where she was at. She lied down next to her friends that were gathered around a candle.
The alicorn eventually came back with chocolate icecream in 6 bowls, her gun was neatly placed away with the other weapons but was close by just in case if an intruder came by.
Twilight gave each of her friends a bowl and lied down in the circle with her friends.
"So..." She sighed and looked around, there was only sadness, disgust and worry on their faces.
Oh how she wished they could just use the elements of harmony against the dead... They're not evil. They're just dead. So it was completely pointless.
Pinkie pie stayed silent for a moment and slowly ate her icecream, "I was in Ponyville once I saw the herd come by and attack everypony..." She said softly and shook her head from the memory.
The country pony flattened her ears "Big mac was tha' first one ta' go for me.. Applebloom left wit' her friends and Sweetie came up to me and told me Scootaloo and Applebloom were attacked.. She... Ran off and ah never did see that filly again..."
There was silence in the air before furious knocks were heard on the door as well as a familiar voice Rainbow dash knew...
