Scootaloo's Hearts Warmth Eve
It was a quiet evening outside Scootaloo's house. The Ponyville Weather Team scheduled a gentle snowfall for tonight. Her house was decorated with multi colored lights and the trees around the property were decorated in proper Hearth's Warming Eve decorations. Inside, Scootaloo's house her parents were talking with Rainbow Dash, Rumble and, Thunderlane. "So, is it all agreed on?" asked Land Rusher. "I'll be Santa, Scootaloo will be Rudolph, Rumble and Thunder will be reindeer and, my lovely wife will be an elf."
"Yes sir Mister Rush sir!" Responded Rumble.
"Can do!" Agreed Thunderlane.
"I wanted to be Santa for the kid. But fine, I'll be a reindeer." Rainbow Dash reluctantly agreed and grumbled. "She doesn't know we are here right?" an inquisitive Rainbow Dash asked
looking around and blinking.
"Nope! It will be a total surprise to see you three here!" Wind Dancer said in excitement. "Oh and Rumble sweetie, I just want to say that you two make the cutest couple!" Wind Dancer stated and gently pinched his cheek.
"Just be careful with my daughter. Make sure her stunts aren't too dangerous." Stated Land Rusher firmly but gently.
"Yes Mister Rush." Responded Rumble who was slightly scared.
"That's a good boy." Smiled Land Rusher as he ruffled Rumbles mane. "I know you and my daughter will be great together." Land Rusher voiced.
"I'll go up to Scootaloo's room now and give her the antlers and the red nose." stated Wind Dancer holding the two items on her back as she walked upstairs. "You guys get dressed and get ready." She said quietly to avoid spoiling the surprise.
As the party was getting ready downstairs, Scootaloo's mother knocked on her door with red nose and antlers on back. "Sweetie! We are doing a photo shoot downstairs for Hearth's Warming Eve!" She exclaimed. "Might I come in?" Asked Wind Dancer.
"Sure mom!" Scootaloo said as she opened the door.
Wind Dancer walked into Scootaloo's Room and gave her the antlers and red nose.
"Really mom, that?" Scootaloo said with an unamused expression on her face.
"Oh come on sweetie, It will be cute!" Wind Dancer said convincingly. "It will just be just you me and daddy in costume for a picture that is only going to just the ponies in the picture."Wind Dancer said while pulling the small orange filly into a wing hug.
"Well, ok." Scootaloo said as she put on her antlers and red nose. "If it's just you dad and you, I'd be ok with that." Scootaloo smiled and said. "But, what are you going to be?" she asked her mother.
"Well, I'm going to be an elf." Wind Dancer said with pride.
Scootaloo giggled at the thought of her mint green mommy in an elf costume.
Wind Dancer just smiled as her as she and her daughter walked downstairs.
Wind Dancer went downstairs first with her daughter close behind her. Scootaloo heard whispers coming behind the wall that quickly hushed up before she arrived.
Then, her coltfriend, her 'big sister' and Thunderlane said in unison "Surprise!".
Scootaloo shrieked with happiness as her and her friends pulled into a group hug. As they were hugging Scootaloo had a thought."Wait a minute, what about daddy?" Scootaloo asked the group.
She got her answer as her dad walked into the house with a santa costume on him and a sack full of toys for the family.
"Ho ho ho! Happy Hearth's warming to one and all!" exclaimed Land Rusher.
"Hello Santa!" responded Wind Dancer now in an elf costume.
The group giggled as the couple hugged and kissed.
"I didn't know Santa was that close to his elves!" joked Thunderlane.
"So, can we open the presents now or what?" Asked excited Scootaloo shaking one of the boxes that was tagged hers.
"No, first we take a picture, then eat dinner and, then we open presents!" Stated Land Rusher.
The group posed for their picture.
Scootaloo was being held up by Rainbow dash and Thunderlane while Rumble was standing beside his big brother. Land Rusher and Wind Dancer were hugging each other.
The flash went off as they were posing and the picture-taking process was complete.
"Ok, now let's do a silly one!" said Rumble. The group agreed as they reset the camera.
The pose was the same as before but with everyone had their tongues out and there eyes cross-eyed.
After the picture was taken, the group saw the silly picture and collapsed in laughter.
The dinner was divine. Mashed potatoes and flower salad with apple cherry pie for dessert.
Scootaloo and Rumble where at the filly and colt's table and everypony else was at the mares and stallions table.
"Good food eh Rainbow Dash?" asked Thunderlane.
"Yep!" responded Rainbow Dash. "Hows my Wonderbolts performance so far?" questioned Rainbow Dash.
"It's going well, but could we not talk about work tonight?" responded Thunderlane.
"Eh, sure. Thanks." answered Rainbow Dash. "So, tomorrow I was wondering could we go and just hang out with my kinda sister and your brother?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"Why tomorrow?" Said Thunderlane answering her question with a question.
"Well, Scootaloo is going to Applejack's farm tomorrow to go and play with her Crusader friends and sense Rumble is coming along I was wondering if you wanted to come along." Rainbow Dash said while blushing.
"Well, ok why not?" Responded Thunderlane who was also blushing.
Meanwhile, at the filly & colt's table dessert was being served.
Rumble got an evil grin on his face as he challenged Scootaloo to do something goofy "I dare you can't eat it without using your hooves."
"Your on!" accepted Scootaloo as she ate the pie face first.
Rumble was giggling as her silly fillyfrend started eating the pie without using her hooves.
"I heard giggling!" said Wind Dancer. She walked into the room and saw her daughter's face covered with cherry and Apple pie filling.
She knew that she should disapprove of her childish behavior, but was too busy laughing.
"See, I could totally do it!" gloated Scootaloo with pride as she cleaned her face with a napkin.
After dinner, the family was gathered around the tree. Everypony had two gifts for them under the tree. Scootaloo got a new scooter helmet from her parents and a new scooter from her coltfriend, Thunderlane and, Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash got a copy of the new Daring Do book: The Crown of Fire from Scootaloo and Thunderlane. The other present she got
was a new pillow for her to use for napping from Thunderlane. Rumbles gifts where a homemade bowl from when Scootaloo tried pottery for her cutiemark and a box of chocolate from his brother with a note saying 'to share with your silly fillyfriend'.
Thunderlane's presents where a hammock and a new pillow from Rainbow Dash and Rumble. Wind Dancer's gifts where from Scootaloo and Land Rusher. She got a new saddle bag and comfy pajamas made by Rarity. Finally, there was Land Rushers gifts, given to him by Wind Dancer and Scootaloo, where a new sweat band and a set of pajamas.
After having some eggnog and cookies, they went to sleep in a big cuddle puddle on the floor.
The next day, Scootaloo had one more gift under the tree, a signed plushie of Wonderbolt, Rainbow Dash. The tag said 'From: Santa To: Scootaloo'.
