I was surrounded by a thick forest. Quite a day this is. I go at the AnimeFest, by my hat and end here, wherever i am. Meh, what to do? I decided to explore the forest.
"So, i should go, errrmmmmm, there!" i thought as i walked in a random direction. I actually like the scenario around me. It made me feel relaxed as warm wind blew across my face and sun shined. I truly enjoyed it, but then i heard a scream. It sounded like a small girl screamed not to far. I ran at the direction of the scream. When i arrived, i saw a small pony pinned to a tree by a beast which had body and head of a lion, scorpion tail and bat wings. The pony had pink fur and curly, purple mane and tail. Pony looked young, about 6 years and it was probably a female, judging by her voice. However, she and the beast looked awfully familiar to me, like i've seen them already.
The Beast suddenly shifted its attention towards me, followed by the pony. It started slowly coming closer. I widen my eyes. Running away would only trigger its animal instinct to chase after me. It was still closing in.
"What do i do?! What do i do?!" i started panicking. The beast was now really close. Within a blink of an eye, it lashed out at me. In that moment, i got a crazy idea, but the only idea in that moment. I quickly stuck out my left palm at the beast, closed my eyes and yelled:"Bloody Cross!"
I waited for the beast to put its claws at me, thinking that my idea didn't work, but nothing happened. I unsurely opened my eyes as shock slowly creeped in me. The beast was lying before be, cleaved in quarters.
"I-i can't believe. It worked!" i mentaly shouted. My attention then shifted towards the small filly. She was looking at me, completely terrified. To ease her, i put on a charming smile and kneeled down.
"Hey there, little one. Don't worry, i'm not gonna hurt you." i said reassuringly. She seemed to slowly stopped shaking and covering in fear. She stood up and looked at me, her head turned slightly to the ground. I must admit it, she looks adorable.
"Y-you w-won't?" she asked, stammering. I smiled charmingly.
"Of course not, why would i hurt such cute girls like you?" i asked and scratch her behind her ear. She blushed at me calling her cute and i could see her enjoying the scratching. However, i stood up, much to her disappointment. I noticed i was a looooot~ taller than her, with her barely reaching only to my knees.
"Do you have a name?" i asked her.
"Yes, i'm Velvet Snow. Do you have a name, mister?" she asked me. Then, i started to remember something. The beast, multi-colored filly with a strange name in front of me, there's only one explanation. I'm in the show My little pony.
"Ummmm, mister?" i heard Velvet's voice snapping me out of my daze.
"Oh, sorry, i just remembered something. Anyway my name is... Akabane Kuroudo, but other humans call me dr Jackal." i said to her. It looks like this happens to those who disappear at the AnimeFests. They got turned into characters they cosplay.
Velvet gave me a look of confusion.
"What's a human and what's a jackal?"
"Humans are species which are most dominant on the world i come from. I am a human and a jackal is an animal which is wild dog. They are known to be very dangerous. Because of my skills and how i laugh in the face of the death, i was given a nickname dr Jackal." i finished and her eyes widen in surprise.
"So you come from another world? Wow. Are you real doctor?" she asked me, remembering i have word "doctor" in my nickname. I smiled and nodded. She smiled too.
"Say, Velvet, what were you doing here? This place looks very dangerous." she hung her head, finding her hooves suddenly so interesting.
"Well, i was playing here. My parents told me they couldn't play with me because some princess was marrying captian of the Royal Guards. You see, my dad is a Royal Guard and my mom is a maid in the Canterlot Castle. Dad said he had to make sure that the soon-to-be-married couple would be safe from any danger and my mom told me she had to make the Castle twice as clean than usual. So i came here to play. Then manticore attacked me and it would probably has eaten me if you didn't interfered." she finished. Wow, her parents are working in the castle of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.
"Ok, i get it all, but why in the forest, why don't go and play on some playground?" i asked, raising an eye brow. She became suddenly sadden.
"I know this forest like my mane, since me and my mom used to wander around here. We stopped whem she became a maid. And i'm not playing on the playground because other ponies hate me because of my parents. They say mean things to me and say that i'm just a snob." she answered and i saw tears in her eyes. It pained me to see kids sad, no matter what species and no matter are they good or bad. I kneeled down and hugged her. She was surprised, but then she let it all go and burst into tears. I slowly sat on the ground and held her close, while slowly rocking back and forth. She calmed down after few minutes.
"Thank you." she said.
"For what?" i answered, confused.
"Well, first for saving me and second, for comforting me. Thank you, Aki." i chuckled at her new nickname for me.
"What are friends for?" i asked as i slowly stood up again and dusted myself off.
"Now, i think we should go back to Canterlot. Do you know in which direction it is?"
"Of course, follow me!" she cheerfully bounced foward and i followed, smiling at the cute scene.
Soon, we arrived at the end of the forest and big city covered inside pink barrier. We carefully climbed down the mountain we were on. Suddenly, i saw bug-like creatures coming into our view. They were hitting the barrier with an intention of breaking through it. Unfortunately, barrier disappeared after few more hits and they entered the city.
"W-what are those?" Velvet asked shaking in fear and hiding between my leg and coat.
"They are changelings. Beings who can change their form to look like anypony and feed off emotions. The more they consume, the more the victim becomes weaker until he or she dies. They are like emotional vamponies." i explained. Together, we ran to the city, only to find it already in ruins. Changelings were flying around, ponies screamed and ran away in fear for their lives.
"Velvet, listen to me, you must hide. It's to dangerous for you. I must clear the path to the castle. If you need any help, scream." i ordered as i looked down at her. She nodded and hid in one barrel that happened to be there. I turned to the chaos changelings made.
*Camera shifts in 3rd person P.O.V. and letters appear in the middle of the screen along with health bar in a shape of bloody sword in the upper left corner and number 108 on the upper right corner of the screen.*

I slowly moved forward to the city's center, expecting anytime for some changeling to attack me. And they did. Three changelings landed in front of me.
*Use mouse 2 to select your weapon, which currently are the scalpels.*
Let's see, as Akabane Kuroudo i can summon scalpels, my main weapon. So on my mental command, four scalpels appeared in each of my hands between my fingers. Sweet.
*Press mouse 1 to attack.*
One changeling dashed forward, but i welcomed it with my scalpels. Making a wound on its chest, i pushed it backwards. I ran at another one and threw cut after cut until i turned it into bloodied corpse. However, before it died, it fired a green beam of light into the sky from its horn. It attracted attention of three more changelings and they confronted me.
*Blocking is essential to the combat. Press Caps Lock to block.*
Changeling attacked me, but i blocked its attack. I then lashed out on it, tearing its flesh, cutting through its bones, spilling its blood, turning it into bloody mash of green blood and chitin.
*As Akabane Kuroudo, you posses superhuman speed with ability to move faster than eye can register. To do this, press and hold Tab button to mark the spot behind your enemies and then press W to move.*
With great speed, i ran and appeared behind the remaining changelings. They were all done with a sweep of my scalpels on their necks' nape.
"Aki!" i heard cry for help of Velvet. Turning around, i saw a changeling slowly coming closer to her.
*To throw your scalpels, press and hold Tab button to mark the enemy and then press mouse 1.*
I quickly threw the scalpels at the changeling, hitting it in its head and killing it instantaneously. I found it really wierd how i knew everything about combat and scalpel-wielding even if i never had wielded scalpels before.
*Number 108 now turns into 104*
"Velvet, lets go!" i yelled at Velvet as i killed another changeling. Path to the Castle was clear enough.
Me and Velvet ran at the castle's gate, sometimes hiding from the nearby changelings. When we reached the gate, i noticed something on the window. It was another changeling, but this one looked bigger, had a mane and crown on its head. Chrisalys. I turned down to Velvet.
"Velvet, you go to the castle and try to find your parents, they will keep you from more danger. As for me, i have a bug to terminate." i told her as my eyes flashed purple. She knew better than question me and galloped in the castle, leaving me to find a way to the Bug Queen.
