Good will always find a way. I've never believed that, but some people say that I'm a living testament to that.
In my previous life, I was a soldier serving the Commonwealth of Man and the Traveler in the Commonwealth Army to the best of my abilities. The oath I gave many years ago ultimately led to my death in Russia during the Collapse. Now, I am serving The Last City and the Traveler in the Vanguard to the best of my abilities, as well as the new abilities granted by the Light upon my rebirth.
It has been fifteen years since those adventures, and so much has changed. A few of the Eliksni Houses, a small detachment of Cabal, and what was left of the Reef have come together under the Traveler to form the Alliance of Light. My next deed acting under its banner is to be the first human to jump out of the Sol System to investigate a set of coordinates gifted to the Speaker by the Traveler. The first true FTL jump drive, crafted in conjunction with Eliksni and Cabal engineers and scientists, has been put into my ship already. While my brothers and sisters finally begin to rebuild our once great system, I will go to frontiers undiscovered.
My name is Albert Haugrud. The people I serve know me as the Praetor. This is the next chapter of my story as a willing servant to Mankind.
