She's What!!!

Violet woke up to the sun blaring in her face. Groaning, she lifted the pillow over her head. “Celestia…five more minutes.”

She soon realised that she wasn’t going to win and climbed out of bed. Usually, she would wake up to the sound of her cousin Fluttershy and Discord from downstairs, but they had moved out after they married. They now lived in a castle in the middle of the Everfree Forest. Violet was a sixteen-year-old pegasus pony, with blonde hair, green eyes and a violet coat. She wasn’t always a pony, just over a year ago she had been fighting for survival on the streets as a human. Her parents were both dead and the only family she had left was Fluttershy and her new cousin-in-law, Discord.

Violet brushed her hair into a ponytail and flew downstairs for some breakfast. Since she was the mare of the house now, she had spruced it up to be more to her taste. There was a chalkboard set up to kept track of her budgeting and her orders. As she ate her breakfast in silence, she was reminded on how lonely it felt without her cousins. Discord was always summoning up chocolate milk rain and Fluttershy was always a joy to be around.

“Perhaps I should pay them a visit.” she said, washing her dishes. Violet glanced up at the clock. It was time for her to start working on her perfumes. She trotted downstairs into her basement/perfume lab. The room always smelled like flowers and spa treatments.

She got out her recipe book and notepad of orders. “Okay, we have 500 orders for ‘Violet and Rose’ perfume, 300 orders for lavender moisturizer, 50 orders of scented candles and 250 orders of herbal bath solution.” She clapped her hooves together. “Best get cracking!”

Luckily for her, she was an expert at multitasking so making several treatments at once was a piece of cake for her. Discord had even been so generous with giving her a lifetime supply of ingredients. She usually finished work around two in the afternoon, which is when her delivery filly, Scootaloo would come by and do the deliveries. Then she would go down to the Hayburger, visit one of her friends or get lunch with her coltfriend, Comet Blitz. Comet Blitz worked in the Cloudstale weather factory. He worked in the part of the Factory, where they would make rainbows. He was a nineteen-year-old stallion, with a vibrant blue mane, golden coat and icy blue eyes.

Sure enough, she was done with work by two o’clock. All her orders were packed into crates and ready for Scootaloo to pick them up. Violet heaved all the crates outside and waited her to arrive. Right on time, an orange pegasus filly drove into view on her treasured scooter. “Sup Violet!” she said.

“Hey Scoots, got another delivery for you today. It’s not as big as last week.”

“Don’t remind me, now how bout we get these crates on board the wagon?”

The two pegasi loaded the crates into the wagon attached to the scooter. Violet gave Scootaloo the clipboard of orders, just as the filly was about to leave she said. “Oh by the way, Rarity wanted me to tell you that she has invited all you girls to the spa this afternoon.”

“Okay, I’ll be there,” Violet said, beaming. “That gives me something to do this afternoon.”

Scootaloo smiled and speed off. Violet walked back inside to get her scarf on. That scarf belonged to her mother, before that it belonged to her aunt. It wasn’t much to look at, just a plain woollen scarf striped green and purple. It was her treasure. Violet picked up her saddle bag, locked the door behind her and trotted down the road to the spa. Her friends were already there.

“Violet!” Rarity cried, from the lounge chair.

“You came!” Pinkie squealed, from the herbal bath.

Violet set her bag down by the door and joined her in the bath. The warm water soothed her sore muscles as she slowly flapped her wings. She then spotted her cousin. “Fluttershy!” She swam over to give her cousin a big hug.

“How’s the married life, Flutters?” she asked.

“It’s great, Discord makes every day memorable.” Fluttershy said, as a spa pony placed two cucumbers over her eyes. “That’s good.”

“Hey guys, I have some great news for you!” Rainbow Dash called from the massage table.

“So spill, what’s the news?” Violet asked.

The rainbow maned pony blushed to the side. “Soarin proposed to me and…I said yes!”

There were squeals all around, Twilight nearly choked on her strawberries and cream. “No way! Guess we know who’s wedding we’re attending next.” Rarity cried.

Violet giggled, but then saw the awkward look on rainbow pony’s face. She was all too familiar with that look. “Oh no, I know that look!”

Everyone turned to her, surprised. “You’re not having second thoughts are you?”

The mares all looked at Rainbow.

“I…just…what if Soarin and I aren’t meant for each other?”

“I thought you loved him?” Twilight said.

“I do, but what was I thinking when I said yes.”

Violet smiled. “You know, Discord had the same problem.”

“What!” The mares gasped, including Fluttershy.

“It’s true, ask your coltfriend’s, they had to wrestle him still until I came along to take over.” Violet explained.

Rainbow hung her head and twiddled her hooves.

“Don’t get yourself in a tizzy. It’s normal to be nervous.” Violet said.

“But what if he’s not the one!”

Violet gave her a look. “You’re kidding right, he’s a Wonderbolt, you’re a Wonderbolt. You two are perfect for each other.”

“She’s right Dashie, I felt the same way when I was engaged to Discord. It’s alright to be nervous.” said Fluttershy.

“Hey, I don’t know about you gals, but I’m starvin.” said Applejack.

“I did skip lunch.” Violet said.

Soon they were all seated at a restaurant when Fluttershy made a surprising request. “Do you have any whipped cream?” the waiter raised an eyebrow. She had ordered a plate of pasta and a glass of chocolate milk.

“We do madam, but what for?”

“She probably wants it with her milk, bring some for me too.” said Pinkie, holding out her own glass. The waiter shrugged and walked off.

“You and your whipped cream.” Violet muttered.

The waiter came back with a can of whipped cream. “Here you go madam,”

“Thank you!” She snatched the can out of his hoof and squirted it all over her pasta.

“Uh, Fluttershy?” Applejack said.

“Can you bring some tomato sauce too?”

“Tomato sauce? Madam I don’t think,”

“Please, some caramel sauce too?” she said, battering her eyes at him.

The waiter sighed. “As you wish madam.”

“Are you alright, coz?” Violet asked.

“I just have this weird craving for; pasta, whipped cream, tomato sauce and caramel.”

“But all at once? Even I think that’s a weird combination?” Pinkie cried.

“Woah Fluttershy, if Pinkie thinks it’s weird, then you’ve just invented the weirdest thing on the planet.” Rainbow joked.

“Oi!” Pinkie cried.

“Madam, here is your,”

“Thank you!” she snatched the bottles out of his hooves and squirted them all over her food and started to shove it down her throat. Her friends cringed as they watched her.

“Fluttershy, table manners please!” Rarity said.

“What’s the matter Rarity?!” she snapped, her mouth full of food. “Afraid to get dirty!”

“Fluttershy!” The pegasus wiped her mouth, looking down in shame.

“I’m sorry girls, I don’t know what came over me? I’ve been feeling strange lately.”

“No kidding,” Rainbow said, staring at what was left of her recipe.

“So...apart from your unusual appetite, how else have you been feeling strange?” Violet asked.

“Well I’ve been feeling more tired than usual, for example, I went to sleep at 6 and woke up at 9 this morning.”

“Maybe your over worked?” Twilight said.

“I don’t see how; Discord’s been feeding the animals for five days straight. I’m anything but over worked!”

Suddenly, her cheeks puffed out and she put a hoof to her mouth. “Oh my, I don’t feel so good.” Twilight summoned up a bucket with her magic, just in time.

“Serves you right after eating that barf.” Rainbow said. Violet held her cousin’s mane back as she emptied her stomach.

“You done?” she asked. Fluttershy nodded, shaking.

Violet wiped her mouth with a napkin. “How long has this been happening?”

“About two weeks, why?”

Violet secretly had an idea on what was going on. “I think I know what’s going on. But just to be sure, let’s get you to a doctor.”

They were all sitting in the hospital waiting room. “What do you think is wrong, Violet?” Rainbow asked. She didn’t get an answer as Dr Stable walking out. “Fluttershy?”

“That’s me,” Fluttershy got up from her seat. the others tried to follow, but the doctor stopped them. “I’m sorry, but only family members are allowed in.”

They all looked at Violet.

“I’ll come,” she said. “She’s my cousin.”

Violet followed the doctor into his office. The other mares just sat in their seats, waiting. “Have a seat girl’s,” Dr Stable said, pointed to two chairs.

“Now, Fluttershy. How long have you been feeling this way?”

“Two weeks.”

“I see and your married, right?”

“Yes,”

The doctor slowly nodded, writing everything down. “What are the symptoms you’ve been experiencing?”

“Nausea, tiredness, cravings and fainting spells.” Fluttershy explained.

The doctor wrote that all down. “Well, it could just be a simple stomach bug, but I want to take to run some more tests. Please could you lie down on this bed?”

Fluttershy did as she was asked and Violet sat down next to her, holding her hoof. The doctor held out a scanner. “I’m just going to give you an ultrasound.”

He moved the instrument around Fluttershy’s belly. The mare’s ears picked up on a faint beating of a heart.

The doctor smiled. “Congratulations Fluttershy, your pregnant.”

Violet squealed. “I’m going to be an aunt! Or the closed thing the baby will have to an aunt.”

Fluttershy just lay there, shocked but she wasn’t deaf. She had heard a heartbeat. She touched her belly.

“I…I’m pregnant!” she started crying. She sat up and hugged her cousin. “Fluttershy, you’re going to be a mom,” Violet sobbed.
