Violet-Rose Four Weddings and a Baby
Rainbow and Soarin's Wedding
Previous ChapterIt was the night before the wedding. Pinkie was hosting a bachelorette party for Rainbow Dash at Sugar Cube Corner. The girls were all bobbing to the music. Violet did a moon walk over to the pink party pony. "Gotta say Pinks, this party rocks!"
"You know it Violet!" Pinkie chimed.
Violet kept dancing until she saw Rainbow Dash sitting alone in a booth with a worried look on her face. She was all to familiar with that look and immediately trotted over. "I know what your thinking,"
Rainbow jumped and turned to see Violet giving her a stern look. "I...I..."
"Save it, I'm all too familiar with that look. Your having second thoughts aren't you?"
Rainbow sighed, defected. "Violet, my weddings tomorrow and I don't know how I feel about it, I mean don't get me wrong I love Soarin, but am I making the right choice?"
Violet smiled. "Of course your making the right choice. But don't even think of backing out. It's not just your wedding, it's also Soarin. And I'm pretty darn sure he's feeling the exact emotion your feeling right now. Dashie, if you back out, he'll be heartbroken."
Rainbow gasped. "Gosh, I never thought about that. I don't think I could live with breaking a stallions heart. What do I do?"
"I think you should enjoy this party while you can to take your mind of things. Remember this, walking down the aisle is the right choice, walking away is wrong."
Rainbow grinned and high-hooved the teen. "Thanks Violet, now I think there's a dance floor that needs to be twenty percent cooler." The bride-to-be flew over to join the others on the dance floor, Violet shook her head and watched, smiling.
The wedding was held at the runaway of the Wonderbolts academy. Inside the locker rooms, Rarity was getting Rainbow Dash ready along with the other bridesmaids. "Annnd, done!" Rarity chimed, her gown was a shimmering blue dress. Fluttershy was wearing a simple strapless green dress that made it easier for her to breathe in. Violet wore it's blue twin. Pinkie wore a pink rose dress. Twilight wore a dark navy dress with silver stars. Applejack wore a copper dress and her precious hat. Rainbow Dash was dressed in an Olympus themed gown with gold details and wreath. The outer layer and train was translucent with a hue of rainbow. "How are you feeling Dashie?" Spitfire asked, she was wearing a short fire orange dress that blended well with her coat. "Excited, scared, nervous." Rainbow spluttered. There was a knock on the door, Rarity went to answer it. Rainbow's father, Rainbow Blaze. "Oh Dashie, my little Dashie." he awed.
Dash rolled her eyes. "Dad, cut it out."
"Sorry, it's just you look as beautiful as your mother on our wedding day. Anyway, we're about to start."
"Then let's not keep Soarin waiting." Applejack said, grinning.
Soarin stood at the front of the platform, tugging on his collar. Spitfire stood by his side as the best mare along with all the other Wonderbolts. They all wore their Wonderbolt suits and ties. Rainbow's friends were the bridesmaids. Fluttershy stood up front with other bridesmaids. She was now two months pregnant and starting to show. Discord sat in the front row with Violet and Comet. Spike was the ring bearer and the CMC were the flower fillies again. Fluttershy's bird choir started to play as Rainbow Dash walked down the aisle, being escorted by her father. Soarin's eyes widened as she approached him. Rainbow Blaze pecked his little girl on the cheek and went to his seat in the front row. Twilight was proceeding over the ceremony instead of Luna. Twilight gave a small speech and then proceeded with the vows.
At the reception, Rainbow performed her famous Sonic Rainboom. Violet was soon met up with Rainbow Blaze. "Violet?" he asked.
"That's me and your Rainbow Blaze. You were friends with my parents."
"Yeah, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for what happened to them. They had noble hearts," The older stallion glanced off to the side, watching his daughter dance with his new son-in-law. "I just wish that Firefly were still here, she would have loved Soarin." Firefly was Rainbow Dash's mother, who sadly died when Dash was just two years old.
"Dashie told me about her. I'm really sorry about your wife."
"Thanks, I just wish she's here to see our little girl get married."
"I'm sure she's smiling down on her right now." said Violet with a gentle smile. Blaze gave her a warm smile and hugged her. "You really are Posey's daughter." he said, before walking off to ask his daughter to dance. Violet trotted over to her family. Discord was helping himself to some punch and having a bro chat with Comet. Since last years Gala, Discord had gotten along well with Spike, Soarin, Flash Sentry, Bic Mac, Shining Armour and Comet Blitz. "How's it going?" she cheerfully asked.
"It's good." Discord replied.
"So Discord, I heard that you and Fluttershy are having a baby? Does that mean I'm going to be the baby's uncle?" Comet asked. "Sure, because Violet going to be the closest thing the baby will have to an aunt." Fluttershy said.
When the time came for the bride and groom to leave on their honeymoon, Rainbow surprised everyone by flying up and dropping the bouquet. All the unmarried mares scrambled to catch it, but it landed in Twilight's hooves, causing the princess to blush. "Look who's next down the aisle." Violet sniggered. Flash Sentry chuckled and walked over to his girlfriend.
He turned to look at Violet. "Funny how you should mention that Violet," he turned back to Twilight and took her hoof in his own.
"Twilight, I had planned to surprise you with this after the party, but due to the circumstances, I feel that now is the perfect time," he reached into his suit pocket and pulled out a box with a gold ring sitting in it. He knelt down and presented it to the princess. Twilight gasped when she saw the ring. The band was a beautiful royal gold colour and just right for her horn, the jewel sitting in the centre was the same purple as her coat.
"Flash..." she uttered.
"Twilight Sparkle, my beautiful princess. Will you marry me?"
Twilight started choking on her own shock and tears of joy. But she knew her answer.
"YES!" she cried, flinging her arms around him and planting a kiss on his lips. Onlookers whooped and cheered for the newly engaged couple.
Shining Armour had full view of the scene. His eyes twitched as his commander made out with his little sister. He felt a hoof on his shoulder. "Don't," Cadence said.
"But Cadee, she's my sister. And if that guy hurts her I'll...I'll..."
"Shining, while she will always be your baby sister, she's not a filly anymore. It's time for her to grow up and start a life of her own. You should be happy for her."
Shining Armour grimaced at the scene before him, but Cadence was right. "Okay, but I'm still watching him..."
