A new Discovery

It has been two months since Flare defeated Ozore and peace has now returned to Equestria. Flare is now a high ranking officer in the Royal Guards, as well as a proud resident of Canterlot. Although life seems to be going well for Flare, one thing still bothered him, what's the deal with him transforming into a rage fire pony when he gets angry? Well, that is what Flare intends to find out. At the Canterlot library, Flare was sitting at a table reading through tons of books about legends, myths, and strange powers. It was dead silent in the library, until the sounds of hoof steps were heard. Flare turned his head and gave a smile, a familiar purple alicorn was walking into the library, carrying about twelve books using her magic. She gave a smile in return when she saw the unicorn.

" Good afternoon Twilight, I'm glad you could make it", Flare said.

" Same to you Flare, it's always nice to visit this place, it feels like an eternity since I moved to Ponyville, away from this library. Plus it's always nice to help out a friend, which reminds me, what am I helping you with", Twilight asked. Flare gave a chuckle.

" Sorry I didn't specify in the letter, so let me clarify. Since we all know that your the best pony for research, I thought you could provide some assistance for my research project", Flare said. Twilight giggled and had a light blush on her face.

" Oh come on, I'm not the best, but it is nice to see that my dedication to learning is appreciated. So what research am I assisting in", Twilight asked.

" I was hoping you could help me find a book on mystical abilities and or powers", Flare said.

" And why would someone like you be interested on the subject", Twilight asked.

" You remember when I fought Ozore and I transformed into a pony covered in flames and housed incredible power", Flare asked. The memory of the event cycled through Twilight's mind, she gave a nod.

" Yeah, but what about it", Twilight asked.

" I'm trying to find out what that strange power was, and why do I have it", Flare said.

" Wasn't it just magic", Twilight asked.

" No, it couldn't be that, it didn't feel like magic, it just felt like pure rage being released. It was a similar feeling on the night I got my cutie mark", Flare said. Twilight's attention suddenly sparked up. She put her books on the table and sat across from Flare.

" Oh, well how did you get your cutie mark", Twilight asked, somewhat exited to hear a story on how someone got there cutie mark.

" When I was just a colt, my uncle took me out camping, my father couldn't take me because of Royal Guard duties and what not but that's besides the point. Anyway we were planning to camp for three days before heading home, but on the second day some stupid teenagers decided that they wanted to play with some fire crackers. I bet you can guess what happened next", Flare said.

" Forest fire", Twilight said.

" Forest fire", Flare repeated," Anyway, my uncle and I were trying to escape the forest and back to the main road, but in all the confusion and fear, we got separated, I was trapped within walls of fire, I honestly thought that I was going to die that night. I closed my eyes, and prayed to Celestia to let this just end and let me go home, I was so full of fear and anger. Suddenly I felt very strange, I opened my eyes and saw that I was absorbing the fire, and like I said before, It didn't feel like I was using any magic. Anyway, the fire was entering into my chest, every single flame entered my body, when it was all over, the entire forest was nothing but a burnt wasteland. My body felt as though it was burning from the inside out, I had to release all that fire. So I screamed as loud as I could, and just like that, a huge beam of fire launched out of my body, and into the sky. I was so exhausted that I passed out, when I woke up, I was back at my house, my uncle had found me and brought me back home. When I got out of bed, that's when I found out that I had received my cutie mark", Flare said, he then pointed at his flank to show Twilight the white flame that is his cutie mark.

" Wow", Twilight said in awe, " So you think that you have some weird ability or something", Twilight asked.

" Exactly", Flare said.

" Well then, I'll be happy to help find what you're looking for", Twilight said.

" Great, so let's get started", Flare said. And with that, they began looking, and looking, and looking. An entire hour went by and they still found nothing. That is until Twilight said something.

" Hey Flare what about this book", Flare grabbed the book from Twilight with his magic and read the title.

" Myths and Legends on Strange and Powerful Abilities", a smile went across Flare face, " Twilight, I think this is the book we're looking for", Flare said.

" Hopefully, now let's crack that book open", Twilight said. As they were flipping through the book they discovered some pretty interesting things. Like about a pegasus with the ability to see into the past and future, or even an earth pony managing to lift an object with its mind. But one page struck out to Flare, he then began to read the title of the page.

" Elementals", Flare said.

" Well read what it says", Twilight said. Flare nodded and began reading.

" Elementals are an extremely rare race of ponies, they house the ability to control a specific element of the world, suited to the specific pony, although it may seem as magic if a unicorn uses it, that is not always the case. Even pegasi and earth ponies have been granted this unique ability. Some examples of elements that they control are, rock, lightning, and fire. The amount of powers they exhibit, depends on their emotions. If they are angry, there powers become unrelenting and merciless, but it also leaves them vulnerable. However, if they are calm and collected, they can focus on their power and make them even more powerful. ", Flare then closed the book.

" That sounds a lot like what happened when you fought Ozore", Twilight said.

" Sure does", Flare said.

" Do you think there are others like you", Twilight asked.

" I don't know Twilight, the book did say that they are an extremely rare race. Who knows, I might be the only elemental in Equestria, or even the entire world", Flare said. There was a couple seconds of silence, until a light bulb went on in Flare's head. " Hold on, I think I know two ponies who might fit the bill", Flare said. Twilight cocked her head a little.

" Oh, and who might they be", Twilight asked.

"Two stallions, Thunder Jolt, who is a pegasus, and Rocky, who is an earth pony. I met them some time ago, they too displayed some...unique abilities", Flare said. Twilight then became even more excited then before.

" Would you mind telling me the story about how you guys met, I really want to know", Twilight pleaded.

" Are you sure, it's a long story, and I don't want to waste your time", Flare said.

" Oh don't worry, I have the day off from Princess duties today, how else did I managed to meet with you today", Twilight said.

" Alright then", Flare said preparing for the long story," It all started, when the Changelings invaded Canterlot".

Destined Allies

During the changeling invasion on Canterlot

Flare and Blazer were both looking out a window from inside the Royal Guard training barracks. As they looked outside, they saw the destruction the changelings were causing, blowing up buildings, attacking civilians, etc. Blazer then turned to face the other soldiers that were in the building with them.

" Alright troops listen up, we were informed that we need to provide outside resistance against the changelings. So I want Squadrons A and B to head to the north area of the city. And I want Squadrons C and D to head to the south area, I will provide assistance in the center of the city", Blazer said. Blazer then started shouting, " I WANT THESE BUGS EXTERMINATED YOU HEAR ME, SO FIGHT LIKE THIS WAS THE LAST FIGHT YOU'LL EVER HAVE. DO YOU UNDERSTAND".

" SIR YES SIR", The soldiers said. And with that they were off. Blazer then turned to face Flare.

" What about me Dad", Flare asked. Blazer then gave Flare a stern look.

" You will be staying right here", Blazer said. Flare had a look of confusion on his face.

" What...no, I want to help you Dad, let me fight by your side", Flare pleaded.

" No and that's final, I need you to stay safe, and right now this building is the best we got", Blazer said.

" Sir yes Sir", Flare said in a disappointed tone.

" Good, now when I leave, I want you to lock and barricade all of the windows and doors that lead into this building. And never, and I repeat, never, unlock said doors and windows for anyone. Changelings have the ability to shape shift into pretty much anyone". Blazer explained.

" Well how will I know if it's you of not", Flare asked. Blazer thought about it for a second.

" Alright how about this, we come up with some secret code, like you say something first, then I say something in response" Blazer said. Flare thought for a second.

" Alright, how about I say fire and you say power", Flare said.

" Alright, that sounds good", Blazer said. They rehearsed it for a few seconds, before Blazer said his goodbyes and headed off. Flare immediately got started barricading the building. About half way finished through barricading, Flare heard a scream not too far from the building he was in. When Flare looked through a peak of the window, he saw a female unicorn, about the same age as him about to be attacked by a changeling. Flare's thoughts were immediately filled with ideas on what to do.

" I have to help her, but Dad said to stay here. What if it's a trick just to lure someone there, what if it's not. Oh what to do, what to do", Flare thought. Flare then made up his mind, he then burst through the front door that lead outside. This sudden loud noise startled the changeling that was attacking the mare. Flare then launched a powerful fire blast from his horn at the changeling, sending it crashing into a building. Flare stood there, a little amazed at what he did, but he soon snapped out of it and went to check on the mare. " Are you alright", Flare asked.

" Yeah...I'm fine...thanks to you", the mare said still a little frightened. Flare sighed in relief.

" Great, now go to that building over there and lock yourself in, and don't unlock it for anyone, understand", Flare ordered. The mare nodded rapidly.

" Yes...ok...thank you again", the mare said. And with that, she left. Flare then heard hissing behind him. When he turned around, he saw hundreds of changelings, all of them ready to fight. Flare made a groan of annoyance.

" I'd be nice to have some help right now", Flare said. And with that, Flare then got into a fighting stance, and prepared for battle.

Meanwhile, over at the north area of the city

The soldiers that were sent there held their own at first, but when a distress signal was launched by a changeling, more soon arrived. And soon enough the soldiers were easily out matched by the changelings.

" RETREAT EVERYONE, REREAT", one of the soldiers said. The others nodded and were about to retreat, until they were cut off by the changelings.

" IT'S GAME OVER MAN, GAME OVER", another soldier said. Then one of the changelings launched itself at the group of soldiers. Then out of no where, the changeling's cheek was kicked hard by a back hoof of a pegasus. This pegasus's fur was a dark blue, his hooves and eyes were a solid yellow, and his mane and tail were black and yellow, and his cutie mark was that of several yellow lightning bolts spreading in different directions. The powerful kick forced the changelings head to impact with the ground, breaking its neck. The other changelings stood there in shock and confusion as they watched one of their comrades instantly taken out by a pony. The soldiers were also sitting there in awe.

" Who...who are you", one of the soldiers asked. The pegasus gave a small smirk.

" Well...if they're the bugs", the pegasus said, aiming his attention to the changelings, " Then I guess I'm the bug zapper". The pegasus then flew straight up into the air.

" AFTER HIM", one of the changelings ordered, and with that, hundreds of changelings started chasing after the pegasus. The changelings eventually tracked the pegasus up in the clouds. But to there surprise, they couldn't seem to find him anywhere. " Where did he go", one of the changelings asked. Then without warning, all of the changelings were attacked by lightning, many of them had fallen, and the ones that still managed to keep themselves up were still badly injured. Then a second set of lightning bolts attacked the changelings. And once again, some fell, while some kept themselves up. Then out of thin air, the pegasus appeared in front of the rest of the changelings. Then the wings on the pegasus began to conduct electricity. Then the pegasus spun a 360, and out of his wings, he launched a powerful wave of electricity, delivering the final blow and taking out the rest of the changelings.

" And that's that", said the pegasus. When he flew down to check on the soldiers, he was shocked to see that even more changelings were swarming the area. He let out a groan of annoyance, " I'd be nice to have some help". And with that, the pegasus zoomed down to fight more changelings.

Meanwhile, down at the south area of the city

The squadron that was sent there was completely overwhelmed and defeated by the sheer number of changelings. One group of changelings were ordered to raid buildings and to grab anything valuable. The group found a bar that had an old western feel to it. One of the changelings used it's magic to destroy the entrance door to the bar. When the changelings went inside, the entire bar was completely empty.

" Alright, let's search the area for valuables", one of the changelings ordered. They were about to proceed, until they were cut off by a voice with a solid Australian accent.

" Ain't nothing valuable here besides all this booze", the mysterious voice said. The changelings followed the voice, and they turned to see an earth pony standing behind the bar counter, pouring a shot of tequila. This earth pony had tan fur. His eyes, hooves, mane, and tail were brown. He had a tan cowboy hat on his head, and he wore a brown fishing vest. He also had a cutie mark that was one of the ground being broken apart with rock debris flying everywhere. After the earth pony drank the shot of tequila, he looked at the changelings with frustration and annoyance. " You know mate, I was just about to open this bar for the first time. Do you know how much this place costs? 10,000 bits just to purchase the building, and an extra 5,000 to purchase furniture, booze, and to give this place the old western theme. I am broke, and what's the first thing I get on the day I wanted to open... a bunch of insects who broke down my door and a portion of the wall the door was part of ". The earth pony gave a sigh, " Well bight side, I have customers, so what it'll be. Oh wait I know, how about bloody Mary...on the rocks". And with that, the earth pony grabbed a rock that was lying on the counter, and chucked it at one of the changelings. The chuck was so powerful that the rock went straight through the changelings head, killing it instantly. The other changelings looked down at their fallen comrade, then back at the earth pony in fear. The earth pony gave a smirk and handed out his hoof. " That'll be 5 bits please". The other changelings screamed in fear and bolted outside and flew away. The earth pony went outside as well, but not for chasing the changelings, but to just enjoy the fact that he got rid of his first ruffians out of his bar. The earth pony then looked to his left and saw more changelings coming his way. The earth pony gave out a groan of annoyance, " I'd be nice to have some help right now". And with that, the earth pony started sprinting towards the hoard of changelings.

Flare, the pegasus, and the earth pony were all fighting large groups of changelings, and were single handedly defeating said large groups. However, like a hydra, once they beat one group, they must fight double that. This amount of fighting had eventually lead the three stallion to bump into one another. All three of them looked at each other and shouted, " I FOUND HELP"!

" Hold on a minute, how do I know you guys aren't changelings", the pegasus asked. That question was immediately repeated by quite a number of voices, the three ponies turned around and saw multiple clones of the pegasus. Then the earth pony was faced with clones of his own, and so was Flare.

" Because if were changelings, we wouldn't be looking at multiple clones of ourselves in complete shock, while there's a changeling invasion", Flare said.

" Well ain't this just BUCKING PEACHY", the earth pony yelled. That sentence was immediately repeated by his clones, which left him mumbling curse words. The changelings began to close the gap between them and the ponies.

" Guys, I think I have a way to beat them", the pegasus said.

" And what would that be", Flare asked.

" No time to explain, just keep them off me while I'm doing this. And when I say now, you guys need to get out of here", the pegasus said. Flare and the earth pony both looked at each other and nodded and gave the pegasus a nod as well. The pegasus then flew high up in the air, some of his clones were trying to catch up to him, but were immediately stopped by Flare's magic. The earth pony gave a strong stomp with his right foreleg, and that created a bunch of rock pillars that took out some of his clones. Flare fired a powerful blast of fire at his clones and took out some as well. The changelings then revealed themselves out of their disguises, and began charging toward the two ponies. The pegasus managed to get himself above the clouds, he did a backflip and started nose diving back down to the city. While doing this, his body was conducting electricity, and in the blink of an eye, the pegasus became covered in electricity and dived down like a lightning bolt. "NOW", the pegasus yelled. Flare then used his magic to teleport himself and the earth pony far away from the street they were on. The changelings then looked up towards the sky and saw the pegasus heading towards them.

" Oh buck", one of the changelings said. When the pegasus impacted with the ground, it caused a huge wave of electricity to spread through several blocks of the city. Flare and he earth pony returned to the street where they were fighting, only to see that all the changelings that they were fighting were killed and that the pegasus was dusting himself off.

" That was incredible, where did you learn that", Flare asked.

" It just comes naturally", the pegasus said. Flare was about to respond, until he was interrupted by Blazer's voice.

" There you are son, I was worried sick, I told you to stay and hide", Blazer said.

" I'm sorry Dad, but I had to leave, you see-", Flare said before realizing what he and his dad talked about before all this. " Fire", Flare said.

" What", Blazer asked. Flare became a little more annoyed.

" FIRE", Flare yelled. Blazer looked even more confused then before.

" Uh...yeah, there is a lot of fire here, but we'll be safe inside the castle, so come on", Blazer said. Flare then launched a powerful fire blast at Blazer, the sudden power forced Blazer to revert back to his changeling state. This changeling was a lot bulkier than the others, and wore blue armor.

" Who are you, and what did you do to my dad", Flare asked. The changeling got up.

" I am General Mantis, high ranking officer of the changelings, and loyal servant to Queen Chrysalis. Your father is captured and hanging in a cocoon, right next to the Princesses. But the real question is, how did you see through my disguise", Mantis said.

" Let's just say that I prepare ahead of time", Flare said with a smirk.

" Well then, let's see if your fighting skills are as good as your thinking", Mantis said. The two were about to fight, but then there was a loud boom. And then a pink wave of magic spread throughout the city. This force drove Mantis, Chrysalis, and the rest of the changelings out of the city, and far away at that.

" Well that was something", the pegasus said.

" Indeed", the earth pony said.

" You know something, with all this time we've been fighting along side each other, we don't know each other's names", Flare said.

" Good point, well I'm Thunder Jolt", The pegasus said.

" And I'm Rocky", the earth pony said.

" Well my name is Fire Flare. Well it's been nice getting to know your names and all, but I need to tend to my father. Mabey we can all get well aquatinted later", Flare said.

" Sure thing, Fire Flare", Rocky said.

" See ya", Jolt said. And with that, Flare went towards the Canterlot Castle. Rocky let out sigh.

" Thank Celestia, I could use some friends", Rocky said.

" Word", Jolt said.

Then the two ponies bumped hooves together.

The Elemental of Lightning, Thunder Jolt

" And that's the story", Flare said. When Flare finished, he saw a look of wonder on Twilight.

" Wow, three elementals in the same city at the same time. No way is that a coincidence", Twilight said.

" Defiantly not", Flare said.

" So what happened after that", Twilight asked.

" Well after that, the three of us started hanging out. Eventually we became great friends, brothers more like. But unfortunately we all had to go our separate ways. I continued my training to become a Royal Guard, Thunder Jolt went off to compete in races, and Rocky I believe is still selling drinks at a bar. ", Flare said.

" Have you ever considered meeting up with them again", Twilight asked.

" It would be nice to, but during that time my life was full of training. I was lucky if I was even able to go get a lunch break, and even then it was a short break. And then there was the whole Ozore incident", Flare said. A sudden look of worry was on Twilight's face.

" Dear Celestia, I hope they're still alive after that", Twilight said.

" Don't worry Twilight, about a month ago, I actually got letters from them saying that they were doing great. That's actually how I found out what they've been up to", Flare said. Twilight gave a sigh of relief.

" Well, now would be a good time to for you three to make up for lost time", Twilight said.

" I guess you're right", Flare said. All of a sudden, the door to the library burst open. Flare and Twilight quickly turned to see who was it. It was Twilight's friends, Rarity, Apple Jack, Flutter shy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Spike.

" Twilight, you have to look at this", Spike said.

" What is it Spike", Twilight asked. Spike then handed Twilight a book. This book was vibrating and glowing a light purple aura. Twilight then started reading through the book, then a surprised look was on her face. " It looks like, a message to Princess Celestia from my friends at Canterlot High", Twilight said.

" How is that even possible", Rarity asked.

" I don't know, but it sounds like they need my help", Twilight said.

" Wait hold on, Canterlot what now", Flare asked.

" Oh it's this school in an alternate dimension, where pretty much everyone I know is there, but they look like hairless apes or something", Twilight said.

" That sounds so ridiculous that I actually believe it", Flare said.

" Ok girls let's head back to my castle, good luck with your friends Flare", Twilight said. And with that they were heading off. Flare then looked down at Spike.

" So Spike, are we still up for guys night with Big Macintosh", Flare asked.

" Sorry Flare I'll have to cancel, if we're going to head back to Canterlot High, I want to be with Twilight for that", Spike said.

" Oh, ok I understand, see you later", Flare said.

" Later", Spike said. And with that Spike ran to catch up with Twilight. Flare then sat back down at the table, and started thinking.

" Now, where do I find them", Flare asked himself. One week later, Flare found out that Thunder Jolt was competing in the Annual Pegasi race. The prize for first place was getting a position for the Wonder Bolts, so it was obvious that Jolt was going to be there. On a Friday the race began, and Flare was right there in the VIP seats, probable because the ponies there knew him as the savior of Equestria. Flare then noticed that same blue pegasus with the lightning cutie mark. When the race began, Jolt was well ahead of the competition. The crowds were roaring in delight as they saw the pegasi going at top speeds and making incredible tight turns. One of the racers was playing dirty during the whole race, he was slamming into the other racers, causing them to go off track and some even crashed. This pegasus managed to keep up with Thunder Jolt.

" Don't think I didn't notice what you were doing back there asshole" Jolt said.

" Sorry, but if anyone going to become a Wonder Bolt today, it going to be me. And I'm not going to let anyone get in my way", the pegasus said. The pegasus then rammed into Jolt, causing him to crash. When Jolt got back up, he saw that the pegasus was far ahead.

" So that's how were going to play things huh", Jolt said. Jolt then launched himself above the clouds, he did a back flip, and dived down. His body then started conducting electricity, then he became a lightning bolt, he moved so fast that he passed by the pegasus in a matter of seconds, leaving him in the dust. Jolt won first place of the race, granting a position on the Wonder Bolts. Jolt then was bombarded by news anchors and fans alike. Jolt managed to squeeze out of that madness to get some air. Jolt then heard a familiar voice.

" Well if it isn't Thunder Jolt, now an official Wonder Bolt", Flare said. Jolt quickly turned to face Flare. And a wide grin went across his face.

" Well if isn't Fire Flare, now the hero of Equestria", Jolt said. The two laughed and gave each other a hug. " Come on, I know a nice diner we can go for lunch, my treat", Jolt said. At the diner the two were enjoying some hay fries and hay burgers while having a conversation. " So what is it exactly you do as Royal Guard", Jolt asked.

" I'm a combat instructor for new recruits, it's a stressful job sometimes, but I can handle it", Flare said. " What about you", Flare asked.

" You know me, racing is my life, I earn prize money, and I'm living the rich life, got a nice house and everything" Jolt said. The two continued to talk about their lives, surprisingly nothing about Ozore. Jolt then had a serious tone in his voice, " So why exactly did you come and see me", Jolt asked.

" I can't just come and hang out with my friend for the sake of it", Flare asked.

" Cut the shit, last time you wanted to quote on quote hang out, was when you wanted Rocky and I to help you fight Tirek. And let me tell you, getting the magic drained out of me is not a good feeling", Jolt said. Flare gave a sigh.

" Alright, truth be told I wanted to discuss something interesting with you, but I don't want to yet until we get Rocky as well", Flare said.

" Ok, do you know where Rocky is", Jolt asked.

" I was hoping you would know", Flare said.

" Last time I checked, he was in Appleoosa, still running his bar", Jolt said.

" Then we'll start there, but first I think we should get some rest. You don't mind if I spend the night at your house do you", Flare asked.

" Not at all", Jolt said.

" Alright, then tomorrow morning we'll look for Rocky", Flare said.

The Elemental of Rocks, Rocky

So after finishing their lunch, and a very generous individual paying for said lunch, Flare spent the night at Jolt's house near Manehattan. The next morning, Flare and Jolt took the next train to Appleoosa in search for their other friend Rocky. When they arrived at Appleoosa, they immediately started the search.

" So you said that Rocky owns a bar here", Flare asked.

" Last time I checked yes, but you know Rocky, always jumping from place to place", Jolt said.

" Well let's hope he hasn't decided to leave just yet", Flare said. After looking around for a couple minutes, they were suddenly stopped by a stallion who was already shaking Flare's hoof.

" Well I'll be if it isn't Fire Flare himself, I speak for all of us when I say that it's such an honor to have you visit our little town of Appleoosa", said the stallion. The stallion then realized how awkward he must have been presenting himself and quickly let go of Flare's hoof . " Um...heh, excuse my manners, my name is Braeburn", Braeburn said. Flare let out a chuckle.

" Hi Breaburn, you already know me, and this is my friend Thunder Jolt", Flare said. Jolt made a wave gestor to say hello, Breaburn tipped his hat in return.

" Howdy. Now what brings you here to Appleoosa", Breaburn asked.

" We were actually looking for a friend of ours. Do you happen to know an Earth Pony by the name of Rocky", Flare asked.

" Oh Rocky, yeah I know him", Breaburn said.

" You do, well do you know where he his", Jolt asked.

" I sure do, he's in that bar over there", Breaburn said. Breaburn then pointed in the direction of where the bar was.

" Thank you so much Breaburn, your help is much appreciated", Flare said.

" Anytime", Breaburn said. And with that, Breaburn tipped his hat once more and headed off. Jolt then gave a chuckle.

" Since when did you start talking formal", Jolt asked.

" After the whole Ozore thing, I was invited to the Grand Galloping Gala. Since I didn't really know how socialize with the upper class, Rarity had teach me a few things if I wanted to quote on quote, fit in". Flare said. Jolt then showed an immediate rise in curiosity.

" Oh and who's Rarity, she your mare friend or somethings", Jolt said. Flare then started blushing, but it wasn't that noticeable because of the fact that he had red fur.

" WHAT, no no no, she's just a friend that happens to be a mare", Flare said. Jolt chuckled even more.

" And by friends, you mean fiends with benefits", Jolt said. Flare looked even more frustrated then before.

" NO, just friends", Flare said. Jolt then let out a burst of laughter.

" Yeah sure, ok let's go with that", Jolt said. Flare let out a sigh of frustration.

" Last time I checked, we were looking for Rocky, not talking about who I'm dating or not", Flare said. Jolt then pretended to act serious.

" Oh yeah that's right, sorry let's go look for him", Jolt said. And with that they headed off towards the bar. When they found it they immediately noticed that it retained the same old western theme to it. The two then looked up to see the sign that said, " On the Rocks, Bar and Billiards". The two then were about to head into the building, until they heard a lot of commotion going on inside, Flare and Jolt looked at each other with worry. When they walked inside, they saw two stallions who were obviously drunk having some sort of argument. That argument soon escalated into a fight, the two were slamming each other into the walls, they pinned each other to the ground, and they were punching each other in face and stomach. Flare and Jolt then noticed the same tan stallion, with the same cowboy hat and fishing vest, and with the same cutie mark of the ground breaking apart heading towards the two stallions fighting. Rocky then pushed the two away from each other, and without warning, Rocky's right hoof became engulfed with rocks. Once that happened, Rocky then dealt a powerful punch to the drunk stallion left of him, sending him flying back at the wall. Rock's left hoof was also engulfed by rocks, and he did the same amount of damage to the drunk stallion right of him. Rocky then picked up the two stallions and threw them out of the building.

" AND STAY OUT", Rocky yelled. Rocky then heard a familiar voice.

" Hey, what's a guy got to do to get a drink around here", Jolt said. Rocky turned around and saw Flare and Jolt sitting on the stools at the counter, and a huge grin spread across his face.

" Jolt, Flare, what's up guys", Rocky said. Rocky then walked over to them and gave Jolt the first hug, then gave Flare the second one. Rocky then noticed all the scars that were on Flare and let out a small gasp. " Damn, that Ozore guy really did a number on you", Rocky said. Flare then looked at all the scars as well.

" You're damn right he did, I'm surprised you didn't mention the scars Jolt", Flare said.

" Well I was, but I didn't want to sound rude. Unlike some pony", Jolt said giving Rocky a shap glare.

" What can I say, curiosity gets the best of me", Rocky said followed by a chuckle.

" Well you know what they say, it was curiosity that killed the cat", Jolt said. Rocky then gave a smirk.

" Well I'm not a cat now am I", Rocky said. The three shared a laugh until Rocky quickly trotted behind the counter. " Let me pour you guys a drink. Now this drink I invented myself, I call it the Tectonic Shift", Rocky said. Rock then pulled out a glass bottle filled with a liquid with a similar color to tequila. Rocky then poured the alcohol into three shot glasses and handed two of them to Flare and Jolt.

" Tectonic Shift huh, some big words for a simple drink", Flare said. Rocky began to chuckle.

" Oh Flare, once you've have a swig at this, you'll start to believe the phrase, don't judge a book by it's cover", Rocky said. Flare shrugged and was about to drink, until he was interrupted by Jolt.

" Before we start, I want to make a toast", Jolt said.

" Shoot", Rocky said. The three raised their glasses.

" To Flare, for showing courage and bravery in our darkest time in history. Oh and putting that son of a bitch Ozore back to the deepest pits of Tartarus", Jolt said.

" Amen to that brother", Rocky said. Rocky and Jolt then noticed Flare looking down at the ground with a smile on his face.

" Is that a tear I see", Jolt asked. Flare then shot back up and started wiping his eyes.

" No...it's just...I got something in my eye", Flare said followed by a sniff." Let's just drink now", Flare said. Rocky and Jolt nodded and the three drank the alcohol. Immediately after drinking it, Flare and Jolt started furiously coughing, now there was no denying that Flare was shedding tears at this point. Rocky just stood there and laughed.

" Damn Rocky, this stuff is powerful, and yet...delicious. And you said you made this, I'm surprised you didn't get a shot glass for a cutie mark", Jolt said. Rocky and Jolt shared a laugh. Then Flare remembered why he wanted to meet with Jolt and Rocky in the first place.

" Speaking of which, can you tell me how you guys got your cutie marks", Flare asked. Jolt and Rocky looked at Flare with a bit of confusion.

" Why do you want to know that", Rocky asked.

" Just humor me", Flare said. Rocky and Jolt looked at each other and shrugged.

" I guess I'll go first. When I was just a colt, I foolishly decided to stay outside during a thunder storm. I guess I was trying to prove my bravery or something, but anyway, only a minute of being out there, I get hit by a lightning bolt. But instead of it hurting me, I felt as though I was getting stronger, before I knew it, I was flying through the air at lightning fast speed. When I landed back on the ground, I looked at my flank, and saw my cutie mark", Jolt said. Up next was Rocky.

" I was a colt as well, my family and I were traveling through the mountains to visit more family. But out of no where, there was a rock slide, and before we knew it, we were all trapped under a pile of boulders. Miraculously, none of us were killed, my father and brother were doing their best to move the boulders, but to no avail. I finally decided to give it a try, and some how I managed to move all the boulders and saved my family. It was my brother who pointed out that I had a cutie mark, when I looked at my flank, I saw this exact cutie mark", Rocky said.

Flare was intrigued throughout both stories.

" Is this why you wanted to meet up with us Flare, so you can know of our cutie mark stories", Jolt asked.

" Not entirely", Flare said. Flare said opened his saddle bag he set on the floor, and pulled out a book. " See I was looking through this book not to long ago and I found this", Flare said. He flipped to the page where it told about the Elementals, and showed it to Rocky and Jolt. Rocky and Jolt read through the page and a look of surprise was on their face.

" So you think that we're some rare race of pony that can control an element", Rocky asked.

" I kind of know at this point with the evidence that supports it. I can do some pretty amazing things with fire, Jolt you can turn yourself into a lightning bolt at will, and Rocky you can cover your hooves with rocks out of no where. It's pretty much certain that were Elementals", Flare said.

" Huh, that's very interesting", Rocky said.

" Interesting...THIS IS BADASS", Jolt yelled with excitement.

" Do you think there are more like us", Rocky asked.

" I'm not sure, I mean it's like the book said, it's very rare, especially three at the same time", Flare said.

" Well Flare, I would like to look over this with you more, you definitely spiked my interests. But for now, I think it's time we get some shut eye, I have some spare bedrooms upstairs for you guys", Rocky said, followed by a yawn.

" Shut eye? But it's not even-", Jolt said before he looked out the window, it was pitch black outside. " What the... how is it night already, I guess time does fly by when you're having fun", Jolt said. And with that, the three went upstairs into their separate bedrooms and went to sleep.

Little did they know that they were being spied on by a camera drone.

The Elemental of Metal, Lance

Somewhere in the Badlands of Equestria

The drone that was spying on the three stallions has finally reached it's destination back to the Badlands. The ground beneath the drone began to break apart, revealing a staircase that leads to a into a underground metal building. When the drone entered the building, it passed by several medical equipment, chemical flasks and beakers, and large test tubes that could fit an entire pony inside it. The drone finally reached a giant lab of some sort, the drone then landed carefully on a work table. With that, a stallion unicorn walked over to it and removed the memory chip that was inside the drone. This stallion had tan fur, his mane and tail were black, he had goggles over his eyes, he was wearing a lab coat, and his cutie mark was both a flask and beaker filled with strange chemicals. The stallion then put the memory chip inside a giant computer and watched to new footage that the drone captured.

" So, the gangs all together again", the stallion said. The stallion then spoke in a louder voice, " Computer, release subjects Lance, Katrina, and Frost", the stallion said. And with that the three test tubes to the right of the stallion opened their doors. Then three ponies stepped outside of the test tubes and walked over to the stallion. The first pony was a stallion earth pony, his fur was a rusty red color, his mane, tail, and eyes were a dark brown, and he had a cutie mark that showed a sword being forged on a anvil.

The second pony was a mare pegasus this time, her fur and eyes were grey, her mane and tail were a darker grey, and her cutie mark was a palm tree on a small island being torn apart by powerful winds. The final pony was also a stallion unicorn, his fur was a sky blue color, his mane and tail were dark blue with white streaks, his eyes were dark blue, his hooves were white, and his cutie mark was that of many serrated ice sickles sticking out of a snowy ground.

The earth pony gave a solute," Lance reporting for duty sir", Lance said.

The pegasus then gave a solute as well, " Katrina reporting for duty sir", Katrina said.

Finally, the blue unicorn gave a solute, but almost reluctantly," Frost reporting for duty", Frost said.

" I have a new mission, I want these three stallions captured, and Lance, I want you to take care of this mission", said The Professor.

" Underst-", Lance said before being interrupted by Frost.

" Professor please, let me take this mission", Frost pleaded. The Professor gave Frost a harsh glare.

" NO FROST, last time I let you take a mission, we wounded up with a dead Elemental. You will stay here and wait for further orders, IS THAT UNDERSTOOD", The Professor said.

" Understood", Frost said in a annoyed voice. The Professor then turned to Lance.

" Go now", The Professor said. Lance nodded and headed out. The Professor then turned back to Frost, and gave him a hard slap to the face, " Step out of line again, and you'll be begging I would just slap you, understood", The Professor said. Frost just nodded.

Meanwhile back at Appleoosa

Flare, Jolt, and Rocky were sleeping soundly in their beds on the second floor of the bar. All of a sudden, Rocky heard a loud thump on the roof of his building. Rocky gets up and looks at the other rooms to see if Flare and Jolt had heard the same sound, they were still fast asleep. Rocky, after letting out a frustrated sigh, went outside to see what was causing the sound. He grabbed his ladder and headed up on the roof. When he got up there he saw nothing, and Rocky sighed.

" Probably just a squirrel or something", Rocky said. Then Rocky heard something behind him, it sounded like a blade being removed from a scabbard. Rocky quickly turned around, and in a split second, was able to cover his hooves with rocks to block an attack from a sword. Rocky saw who attacked him. It was a fellow earth pony, but was covered in knight armor. The knight then continued with a barrage of slashes with his sword, but luckily Rocky was continuing to block successfully. The knight then managed to kick Rocky in the stomach, this kick was so powerful that it launched Rocky off the building and hard on the ground. Rocky let out a loud grunt of pain, Rocky looked up and saw the knight jump off the building and attempted to stab Rocky with the sword. Rocky was quick enough to roll out of the way and the knight instead stabbed the ground. This noise had woken up some of the residences of the town, including Flare and Jolt.

" Great you woke the neighbors", Rocky said. Many of the residences let out gasp as they saw what was happening. Flare and Jolt looked out their windows and saw what was happening as well.

" Don't worry Rocky, we'll come down and help", Flare said. Flare and Jolt were about to leave until Rocky spoke up.

" No Flare, this guy invaded my town, and tried to take away my life, so he's going down on my terms", Rocky said. Flare and Jolt looked at each other with worry, but then showed confidence in their friend.

" If you say so", Flare said. Rocky then looked back at the knight.

" So, who are you, and why are you attacking me", Rocky asked. The knight chuckled.

" All you need to know is that I'm taking you in, and I will use powerful force to do so", the knight said. Rocky got into a fighting stance.

" Bring it asshole", Rocky said. The left hoof of the knight then was being covered by sheets and bolts of metal. The knight then pointed that hoof towards Rocky, revealing what looked like a small cannon wrapped around his hoof. The cannon then fired a small metal ball and chain at Rocky. Rocky then did a back flip to dodge the cannon ball. The cannon ball then grew spikes all around it's self, the knight then swung the ball and chain around to hit Rocky a second time. Rocky managed to roll out of the way. The knight then launched the ball and chain into the air, and then slammed it back down at Rocky. Rocky then manage to grab the chain at the base of the ball, and pulled as hard as he could. Rocky managed to rip the cannon off of the knight's hoof. The knight then quickly reached into his pouch and tossed small metal blades towards Rocky. Rocky then used both his hooves and stomped on the ground, creating a rock wall, that in turn blocked all the metal blade. Rocky then punched the rocky wall, sending it flying towards the knight. The knight quickly pulled out another small metal blade out his pouch, but this time the small blade extended in length, about the same length as the knight's sword. The knight then cut the rock wall clean in half. The knight then dashed towards Rocky. Rocky then started creating and punching more rock walls. And the knight continued to slice the walls in half. The knight was moving too fast for Rocky to keep track of, and Rocky then found himself being cut in several parts of the body by the knight's swords. The knight then turned his right hoof into a small metal battering ram and punched Rocky in the stomach so hard that it caused Rocky to cough up blood. Rocky laid there on the ground clenching his stomach. Flare then burst out of the bar to help Rocky, but was then stopped in his tracks when he saw the knight hold up Rocky with his sword positioned right across Rocky's neck.

" Don't make another move, or I'll spill all his blood", the knight said. Flare then backed up a few steps, but still keeping his guard up. All of a sudden, Rocky broke out of the knights hold and made distance between himself and the knight. The knight, Flare, and Jolt all looked at Rocky in surprise. Dark brown rocks covered all of Rocky's body except his head.

" YOU'RE PISSING ME OFF", Rocky yelled. Now Rocky's head was completely covered in the rocks, and his eyes were replaced by a green light. The knight then dashed toward Rocky and began to slash at him. But the blades immediately broke upon impact. Rocky then slammed the knight to the ground, the impact caused cracks in the ground to spread a couple meters. Rocky then grabbed the knight and threw him quite a distance, but then Rocky made a rock wall form, and the knight slammed right into the wall. The knight fell to the ground and slowly got back up while grunting in pain. The knight then created two more metal blades the size of swords and attempted to attack Rocky again. But Rocky then slightly tapped the ground with his right hoof, this in turn created a rock pillar, that rammed into the knights stomach, causing him to cough up blood. Rocky then quickly ran to the knight and started ripping off the knight's armor, Rocky then violently removed the knight's helmet, reveling Lance, the earth pony that was sent by The Professor.

" WHO ARE YOU, AND WHY ARE YOU ATTACKING ME", Rocky yelled.

" Burn in Tartarus", Lance said. That didn't sit well with Rocky, because Rocky punched Lance so hard in the face, that it caused Lance to spit out a tooth.

" ANSWER ME", Rocky ordered. Flare and Jolt at this point were right next to Rocky.

" I am Lance, I was sent by my master to capture you", Lance said reluctantly.

" Why", Rocky asked.

" To raise an army, the Elementals are one of the most powerful races in Equestria. with three more on our side, we'll be unstoppable", Lance said. Flare and Jolt showed surprise on their faces.

" What do you mean three more, are you an Elemental too", Flare asked.

" Yeah, and there are two more as well, who are extremely powerful in their own right. You can fight them if you want, but you'll just be delaying the inevitable", Lance said.

" Where can we find them, more importantly, where can we find your master", Jolt asked.

" I think I've said enough", Lance said. Rocky was about to punch Lance again, but was stopped by Flare who had him move out the way. Flare then pressed his right hoof on Lance's chest. All of a sudden Lances chest started burning intensely, Lance let out grunts of pain as his chest continued to burn.

" My friends and I have a lot of patience, but right now it's about to fade away. So please, tell us where to find your master, or I'll let Rocky here to continue his interrogation methods", Flare said.

" Fine, I'll tell you where they are", Lance said. Flare then removed his hoof off Lance's chest, leaving behind a hoof burn mark. " His lab lies underground, at the Badlands of Equestria", Lance said.

" Thank you for your cooperation", Flare said. Flare's horn then glowed, and Lance suddenly fell into a deep sleep.

" The heck you just do", Jolt asked.

" It was a sleeping spell, one where he won't be waking any time soon", Flare said. Flare then turned to face Rocky, and noticed that all the rocks that covered his body were now gone. " Let's go find this master of his", Flare said.

The Elemental of Wind, Katrina

Rocky had Lance put in a jail cell at Appleoosa with the paralysis spell activated on him. And now Flare, Jolt, and Rocky are heading to the secret lab that was hidden somewhere in the Badlands of Equestria. The sun has just begun to rise as the three were traveling through the rough terrain of the Badlands.

" So, what the heck was that Rocky", Jolt asked. Rocky looked at Jolt with a confused look.

" What do you mean", Rocky asked.

" Your body was covered in dark rocks, and your eyes turned into some kind of green light. Not only that, but you somehow got a major defense and attack boost from it", Jolt said. Rocky thought it over for a minute.

" I have no idea either, what do you think Flare", Rocky said. Now both Jolt and Rocky were looking at Flare for a response.

" It was one of your Elemental forms", Flare said. Now Jolt and Rocky both had a confused look.

" Elemental forms", Rocky said.

" An Elemental gains theses special forms when they harness their power through emotion. When I fought Ozore I had two forms, the first one was when I let my anger control my actions, that was when I had the regular fire form. However during the final battle, I released all my anger out, and entered into a calm state of mind, this is when I gained my blue fire form. When you were getting beaten by Lance, it was obvious that you were getting pretty pissed, so you used that anger as a source of power to enter into that form. We have yet to see what your calm form is like, and we don't know what Jolt's forms are yet", Flare said.

" Well hopefully I get some of that Elemental action, after all that Lance guy said that there are two more of them didn't he", Jolt said.

" That's another thing, if Elementals are supposed to be an extremely rare race, then how come there are six of them right now. There's us three, Lance, and the other two he mentioned", Rocky said.

" I have no idea, but hopefully we'll get all the answers soon enough", Flare said. All of a sudden, the wind started picking up, and picking up more, and picking up more.

" What the heck is up with these winds, I can't even open my eyes all the way", Jolt said.

" Can't handle a little breeze", Rocky said with a smirk. To be honest though, Rocky was having a hard time just like Jolt. The winds were getting got of hand at this point.

" Something's not right, we need to find cover", Flare said. All of a sudden, a huge boulder came flying towards them. Luckily Rocky managed to punch the rock, shattering it. The winds were even more powerful now, powerful enough to even slowly move the three back. Rocky tried to block the wind by creating a rock wall, but the wind was so powerful that it tore apart the rock wall. Luckily Rocky improvised and created rocks around their hooves to hold them in place, conveniently the winds were not powerful enough to tear those apart. The three then looked up and saw a mare pegasus flapping her wings in their direction, and it seemed that the wings were generating the wind.

" Is she doing this", Rocky asked.

" She must be, or else she wouldn't be floating up there nonchalantly", Jolt said.

" There's no doubt about it boys, that mare's an Elemental", Flare said.

" What are we going to", Jolt asked.

" Can't you use some sort of spell to stop this", Rocky asked.

" I need to concentrate to pull of a spell, and it's extremely difficult to concentrate when you have powerful winds trying to tear your skin off", Flare said.

" Let me fight her then", Jolt said. Rocky and Flare immediately turn their attention to Jolt.

" What", both Flare and Rocky asked.

" Her and I are both pegasi, if I can distract her and bring her up higher in the sky, maybe these winds will die down", Jolt said. Flare and Rocky looked at each other with worry, but then showed confidence towards Jolt.

" Alright then", Rocky said. And with that, Rocky released Jolt from the rocks, and Jolt immediately flew towards Katrina. Katrina said nothing when she saw Jolt approach her.

" Let's take this higher in the sky, just you and me", Jolt said. Katrina didn't respond, but instead immediately flew up higher, with Jolt soon following after her. And with that, the winds finally calmed down, and Rocky released him and Flare from the rocks.

" Good luck Jolt", Flare said. Up in the sky, the two pegasi stared at each other for a while, until Katrina spoke.

" So, you're Thunder Jolt huh, Elemental of Lighting, and new member of the Wonder Bolts", Katrina said.

" You got that right", Jolt said with a smirk.

" Well then, I should introduce myself as well. My name is Katrina, Elemental of Wind and loyal servant to The Professor", Katrina said.

" The Professor", Jolt asked.

" He's my master, as well as the Master of Lance and Frost", Katrina said.

" Wait, who's Frost", Jolt asked.

" I believe I said enough to you, now are we going to fight, or are just going to stay still here like idiots", Katrina asked.

" Fine, but don't think I'll go easy on you just because you're a girl", Jolt said. Katrina began to chuckle.

" Funny, I was going to say the same about you", Katrina said with a smirk.

" Oh it's on now", Jolt said. And with that, Jolt charged in for a powerful punch. But to Jolt's surprise, Katrina was no where to be found. " Where did you go", Jolt said in frustration. Jolt then heard laughter behind him, when he turned around he saw Katrina there.

" What are you talking about, I'm right here", Katrina said followed by laughter. Jolt growled in frustration and went in for another punch, but yet again Katrina disappeared. Then out of no where, Jolt felt a powerful punch across his face. Then to his gut, and then across his face again.

" WHERE ARE YOU", Jolt yelled searching all over the place. Jolt then again heard laughing behind him. As Jolt turned around, he again saw Katrina laughing. In a frustrated yell, Jolt charged at Katrina as a bolt of lighting. However Jolt was soon stopped in his place by powerful winds generated by Katrina's wing flapping. Jolt tried his best to overcome the wind's power, but to no avail. The winds were so powerful that it blew Jolt back by a lot. Jolt managed to regain himself, but now he was full of more anger than before.

" You can't beat me Jolt, I'm faster then the wind itself", Katrina said. And with that, Katrina disappeared again. Jolt then felt a barrage of punches and kicks all around his body, but he still couldn't see where Katrina was at.

" ENOUGH", Jolt yelled. And with that, Jolt created a powerful pulse blast of electricity. This blast managed to connect with Katrina, causing a painful surge of electricity to course through her body. When Katrina composed herself, she glared at Jolt with a look of pure anger. But soon that look of anger transformed into a look of fear when she saw the new pony in front of her. Jolt's fur was black as night, his mane and tail were dark grey like that of a thunder cloud, blue electricity spewed out of his eyes and hooves. But one feature that surprised Katrina the most was that there were blue flashes of light coming from the inside of Jolt's chest. And a small sound of a thunder clap was heard every time the light flashed. Jolt then began to laugh.

" You may be faster then wind sweet heart, but I'm faster then lightning". Jolt said. And with that, Jolt charged at Katrina faster than a lightning bolt and delivered a barrage of punches, kicks, and even electrical blasts from his wings. Unfortunately for Katrina, Jolt was moving too fast for her to even get a glimpse of him. So basically she was defenseless. After the attacks, Jolt slowed down so could speak to Katrina.

" What did I say Katrina, I ain't going easy on you just because you're a chick", Jolt said.

" How...How did you get so much power", Katrina asked.

" Buck you that's how", Jolt said. And with that, Jolt grabbed onto Katrina and began a nose dive back to the ground. Jolt than began to conduct electricity around his body, and just like that, Jolt became a lightning bolt. While continuing to drag Katrina with him, Jolt impacted with the ground, creating a huge electrical explosion. During the explosion Rocky had to create an extra thick rock wall, just to block the blast from hitting them. When the smoke cleared Rocky and Flare saw Jolt in his regular form walking towards them, with an unconscious Katrina lying on his back. Jolt put Katrina on the ground, with Rocky and Flare looking at him in surprise.

" What are going to do with her", Jolt asked.

" Same thing with Lance", Flare said. Flare then used his magic to make sure that Katrina stayed asleep for the time being, and then teleported her to the Appleoosa jail.

" Alright let's keep going", Jolt. And with that, the three ponies began their search.

Meanwhile back at the Lab

The Professor was viewing the video that his drone sent of Jolt's fight with Katrina. The Professor sighed.

" Frost", The Professor said. Soon enough, Frost entered the room.

" Yes my Master", Frost said.

" You're next, but remember, I want them alive", The Professor said.

" Of course... my master", Frost said followed by a faint sinister chuckle.

The Elemental of Ice, Frost

During the journey through the Badlands, Rocky and Jolt were having a conversation while Flare was using his magic for some kind of purpose.

" So you achieved your Elemental form during your fight with that mare", Rocky asked.

" You bet your flank I did, and let me tell you, I have never felt that kind of power before. It was almost like that I became the lightning itself", Jolt said. Rocky chuckled.

" Yeah, I got that kind of thrill too when I transformed. I'm envious for Flare though, seeing as though he has two forms at his disposal", Rocky said.

" Speaking of Flare, what in the world is he doing", Jolt asked. Rocky and Jolt then looked at Flare. Flare's horn was glowing as well as his eyes. " Hey Flare, what are you up to", Jolt asked. Flare then looked at Rocky and Jolt.

" Our Professor friend must have some secret hideout some where in these badlands. I'm using a spell that allows me to see through solid objects to find abnormal structures", Flare said.

" Jeez Flare, Is there anything you unicorns don't have a spell for", Rocky asked.

" Well we don't have a spell to bring the dead back to life", Flare said.

" Seriously", Rocky asked in surprise.

" Well think about it, If we had that kind of magic, wouldn't we use it to bring back all those who were killed by Ozore. Or anyone who died in general", Flare asked. Rocky and Jolt looked at each other, then back to Flare.

" Good point", Rocky said.

" So Flare, did you find any thing yet", Jolt asked.

" As a matter of fact, I did", Flare said. Rocky and Jolt both were looking in the direction that Flare was looking. And they were looking straight at the ground.

" Uh Flare, are you sure that your little spell is working properly", Jolt asked.

" Of coarse I'm sure. This Professor guy made his secret base underground. And his secret entrance must be right about...here", Flare said. Rocky and Jolt notice that Flare was pointing his hoof at an area of the ground.

" So how do we get in", Jolt asked.

" Simple, Rocky do you mind breaking and entering", Flare asked. Rocky let out a grin of delight.

" I don't mind at all", Rocky said. And with that Rocky went over to where Flare was pointing at. Flare deactivated his magic spell and moved out of the way for Rocky to do his handy work. And in one powerful punch, Rocky broke through the ground door, revealing a secret stair case.

" Yeah well, I could've done that, but my hooves are sore from fighting earlier", Jolt said.

" Yeah sure", Rocky said.

" Well guys, this is it, let's not waste any time", Flare said. And with that, the three ponies were about to head down the staircase. Until they were stopped in their tracks by an ice shard that nearly hit them, it even grazed Flare's cheek. The three quickly jumped back to avoid any more attacks. Then they saw a blue unicorn step out of the shadows to face them.

" I've waited a long time to finally face you Flare", Frost said.

" Who are you", Flare asked. Frost gave a smirk.

" I am Frost, Elemental of Ice, and your opponent", Frost said.

" Look pal, I don't want to get into anymore confrontation alright, so if you'll just let us pass-", Flare said before being cut off by Frost.

" Not a chance, the opportunity to face you in combat is too important for me to pass up, I won't move until you promise to fight me", Frost said. Flare let out a sigh.

" Rocky, Jolt, stand back and let me handle this", Flare said.

" What are you crazy, there's three of us and only one of him, let's just jump him together", Jolt said.

" No, this guy is more powerful than I thought, I can't risk you guys getting killed. Plus you guys got a chance to fight by yourselves, I think it's my turn to have some fun", Flare said. Jolt and Rocky looked at each other with worry, but then looked at Flare with trust.

" Alright Flare, just be careful", Rocky said.

" And make sure you kick Frosty the Snow puck's ass for me", Jolt said. Flare let out a chuckle

" Oh I will Jolt", Flare said. And with that Jolt and Rocky stepped a few feet back, leaving the battle field to just Flare and Frost. " So, Fire vs Ice huh, seems kinda cliche, don't you think", Flare said. Frost let out a chuckle.

" I prefer the word, poetic", Frost said.

" And why's that", Flare asked.

" Think about it, two legendary forces of nature going head to head to see who's superior", Frost said.

" Well when put it like that...it still feels cliche to me", Flare said. Frost let out another chuckle.

" Well maybe this fight will change your mind", Frost said.

" Let's hope", Flare said. And with out any warning, Flare and Frost clashed, creating a powerful explosion. They dashed across the battlefield, each doing a powerful blow to one another. Frost's horn then glowed a light blue and fired quite a few ice shards and Flare. However Flare quickly countered them with his fire balls. Flare then fired a powerful fire beam at Frost, however Frost quickly blocked it with an ice wall. With a powerful punch, Frost launched the ice wall directly at Flare. Flare quickly used his teleportation to dodge the ice wall, when Flare reappeared, he used his hoof to punch the ground. This caused the ground to shake wildly, the ground began to break apart and a fiery glow came from the cracks. When the cracks moved under Frost, a huge fiery explosion engulfed Frost. Fortunately for Flare, that attack actually managed to damage Frost. However Frost wasn't finished yet, using his ice powers, he created a long, sharp ice sword out of thin air. In a swift motion, Frost dashed towards Flare and gave a pretty nasty cut across Flare's shoulder. Flare let out a yell of pain and wrapped his right hoof on the wound, but this was no time to tend a wound, as Frost quickly transformed his ice sword, into an ice sledgehammer. And with a powerful swing, the sledgehammer smashed across Flare's face, sending him flying. Frost then stomped his right hoof on the ground, this caused an ice wall to appear behind Flare as he was flying back. Flare slammed hard onto the ice wall,causing said wall to break apart, when Flare got up to continue fighting, he soon found out that he couldn't move his legs. When Flare looked down to see what happened, he saw that his hooves were sealed to the ground by ice. That same ice was slowly moving up his body. Frost then turned his sledgehammer back into the sword, ready to deliver the finally blow. When Jolt and Rocky tired to help Flare, they were blocked by a huge ice dome that surrounded Frost and Flare.

" So, any last words before I cut you into ice cubes", Frost asked.

" Do you not know the laws of nature", Flare asked.

" What", Frost asked in a confused voice.

" Fire, always melts ice", Flare said. The without warning, a huge fiery aura surrounded Flare, melting away the ice trap he was in. Flare had just entered into his red fire Elemental form, the same one that he first used when fighting Ozore. Frost took a few steps back, as he was full of fear at the this new form of power. " It's time to end this", Flare said. And in a huge breath of air, Flare spewed fire from his mouth, engulfing Frost in a fiery blaze. The breath of fire melted a hole out of the ice dome, giving Flare a way out. Jolt and Rocky quickly investigated the scene, there they saw Flare in his normal form, dragging an unconscious Frost. Flare placed Frost on the ground to investigate the burns on Frost.

" He has a few burns, but he'll live, good thing I held back", Flare said. Jolt and Rocky both looked at Flare with shocked expression.

" You were holding back, why", Jolt asked. Flare sighed.

" I had enough death with Ozore", Flare said. Jolt then gave an expression of guilt for asking the question.

" But enough about that, let's stop this Professor", Flare said. Jolt and Rocky nodded, and with that, the three ponies were about to head down the staircase, until the were stopped in their place again by a huge explosion.

Brothers in Arms

When the three ponies were completely taken off guard by the huge explosion. When they looked to see wha caused it, they saw a huge hole caused from the blast. Coming out of it was a steel platform, and The Professor standing on top of it. The Professor was clapping his hooves together and laughing.

" Bravo boys, bravo", Said The Professor.

" So you must be The Professor we have been hearing so much about", Flare said. The Professor gave a smirk.

" That's right, and you're Fire Flare, Elemental of Fire", The Professor said.

" Well as much as I love to make acquaintances, I'm afraid we don't have time for that", Rocky said.

" You're absolutely right, which is why I'm going to make and offer", The Professor said. The Professor then jumped off the platform to get closer to the three. " Either join my army, or perish", The Professor said.

" What do you mean you're army", Jolt asked.

" Elementals are some of the most powerful beings in all of Equestria. This is proven further when Flare over here annihilated Ozore. The same Ozore that effortlessly defeated Princess Celestia and Luna. So for an entire year I studied, searching for more Elementals to raise an army and rule Equestria. And as of right now I only came across seven Elementals", The Professor said. Flare, Jolt, and Rocky all gave a confused expression.

" Wait, there's a seventh Elemental", Flare asked.

" Well... there used to be a seventh. Her name was Ivy, an Earth Pony with the power to control plant life. Unfortunately when I sent Frost to retrieve her, he got carried away and now well... there's only six", The Professor said.

" You mean he killed her", Flare asked.

" Exactly, under mind control or not, Frost was always a violent pony", The Professor said. Now Flare was more confused then ever.

" Mind Control", Flare said.

" Well after I kidnapped Frost, Katrina, and Lance, it was obvious that they weren't going to help me willingly. So I created a micro chip that bended them to my will", The Professor said.

" You sick bastard", Jolt said.

" Now, now there's no need for that kind of talk. Now make your choice, Join me, or die", The Professor said.

" I've had enough of this, I'm taking you out right now", Flare said. Immediately after saying that, Flare entered into his red fire form and charged at The Professor, even landing a punch on his face. But The Professor seemed unfazed by the punch.

" What", Flare said in confusion. The Professor then started laughing.

" Death it is then", The Professor said. The Professor then punched Flare in the gut, sending Flare flying back. When Flare regained his footing(of hoofing if you wanna be that guy), he then fired a fire ball directly at The Professor's face. Flare and the other cringed as half of The Professor's face melted off, but soon after, they hear his laugh again. When the fire cleared, they saw a robotic skull revealed from the burnt half of his face.

" What are you", Flare asked.

" I am the pinnacle of technology, I am powerful, I am unstoppable, I am machine", The Professor said. And then The Professor's right hoof transformed into an energy blade, The Professor slashed at Flare's chest, leaving a nasty cut. Flare screamed in pain as he once again was flung back again. Rocky and Jolt went to see if Flare was ok, he was alive but in bad shape. Rocky and Jolt then entered into their Elemental forms and charged at The Professor. However The Professor was too quick and transformed both his hooves into cannons, firing powerful sonic waves at the two. This caused them to also be launched back. Flare managed to get himself up and rejoin Rocky and Jolt, Flare then re-entered into his red fire form. The Professor Just laughed as he transformed one of his hooves into a assault rifle, and the other back into an energy blade. The three charged at The Professor, giving it their all, but The Professor seemed to skilled to be injured. The Professor then created a powerful repulse shield, sending Flare and the other back. The out of no where, black cables were launched from The Professors back, these cables wrapped around both Flare and Rocky, giving them a deadly shock of electricity. Rocky and Flare reverted back to their regular forms and landed hard on the ground. Jolt then tried to attack, but was also wrapped by the cables. He was then slammed repeatedly on the ground until he too was reverted back to his regular form. While Flare and the others were badly injured, The Professor was still unscathed.

" How did you manage to beat us", Flare asked.

" You really think I would enter into a fight unprepared. I watched you fight, I know your moves set, I know your methods of combat, and I learned how to counter them", The Professor said.

" This is bucking bullshit", Jolt said. The Professor then sighed.

" It's a shame really, you three would've made an excellent addition to my army. Oh well, prepare to die", The Professor said. He then transformed his two hooves into cannons again, but this time, red light was emerging from the cannons. The Professor was about to blow them to smithereens, until... an ice shard impaled him through the chest. In a grunt of pain, The Professor removed the ice shard from his chest and quickly looked to see who attacked him. When he found out, he was shocked.

" Frost, what are you doing", The Professor asked. Flare and the others quickly looked behind them, there they too saw Frost standing there.

" When Flare hit me with his fire breath attack, it fried the micro chip that was controlling me. Now... I remember everything you did to me", Frost said.

" But that's impossible, if the micro chip was destroyed, it would have destroyed your brain as well", The Professor said.

" Well I guess I'm one lucky son of a bitch", Frost said. Frost then walked over to where Flare and the others were. " Come on get up, we have an asshole to beat", Frost said while pulling up Flare.

" Glad to know you're on our side now", Flare said while helping Rocky and Jolt. Now that everyone was on their hooves, they all lined up to face The Professor.

" I don't care how many of you are here to face me, you won't succeed", The Professor said.

" Guys, I have an idea", Flare said.

" What is it", Rocky asked.

" If we calm our mind and focus, we'll achieve a power unlike anything before", Flare said.

" Are you sure about that", Frost said.

" That's how I defeated Ozore a year ago", Flare said.

" I'll take your word for it", Jolt said.

" Me too", Frost said.

" Great, then let's do this", Flare said.

" What are you guys babbling about, you honestly think you can beat me", The Professor asked.

" You're about to see what true power is Professor", Flare said. And with that, Flare, Rocky, Jolt, and Frost all calmed their minds and focused. They looked deep within their selves to find their fullest power, and when they found it, they unleashed it. In a huge bright light, all four of them achieved there most powerful forms. Flare entered into his blue fire form, Rocky was now covered in thin, light brown sheets of rocks. Jolt was now covered in a yellow electric aura. His eyes, mane, tail, and hooves were completely white, and the rest of his body was yellow. Frost was covered in a white aura, his fur was white as snow, his mane, tail, hooves, and irises were a light blue. As the four were examining their forms, The Professor was in utter terror.

" NO NO NO NO NO, this can't be, I will rule Equestria, and I will not let you ruin everything", The Professor said. And with that The Professor used his magic to levitate off the ground and into the air. When he reached a high enough point he fired up his cannons. " Prepare to be disintegrated you worthless maggots", The Professor said. The four looked at each and nodded, and then they launched themselves up towards The Professor. The Professor then fired his cannons, creating a huge red beams.

" ELEMENTAL OVERDRIVE", The four shouted, they then started spinning his a circular motion, creating a drill like attack, fusing their four Elemental powers into one. The two attacks collided, but the Elemental attack proved superior as it shredded through the red beams and soon enough, shredding through The Professor. After the huge explosion and the smoke cleared, there was nothing left of The Professor. The four landed safely on the ground and reverted back to there regular forms.

" Well, it's finally over", Flare said.

" Yep, now what happened to Lance and Katrina", Frost asked.

" Oh they're unconscious and in jail", Jolt said.

" Ah, and can we remove their micro chips as well", Frost asked.

" I think it's better if we had a surgeon remove them. You were pretty lucky not to get your brain fried", Rocky said.

" Good point", Frost said.

" Well, let's not waste any time", Flare said. And with that, Flare, Rocky, Jolt, and Frost began their long journey back to Appleloosa.

The Request

So after Flare, Frost, Rocky, and Jolt returned to Appleoosa after their fight with the Professor, they had an expert surgeon remove the micro chips from Lance and Katrina, freeing them from the mind control. So after some re-introducing themselves and some apologies, Lance and Katrina left to return to their families, except for Frost.

" What's wrong Frost, don't you have some family to get home to", Flare asked.

" Unfortunately no, my father left when he found out my mother was pregnant with me. And my mother died of cancer when I was just a foal. I've lived a great deal of my life in an orphanage, until I escaped that place. From there, I just sort of lived on my own", Frost said. Flare, Rocky, and Jolt all felt a great deal of sympathy for Frost.

" Damn, we're sorry to hear that", Jolt said.

" It's no big deal really. I'm sure I'll find my way around. Which reminds me, Flare I have a request", Frost said.

" Uh sure, what is it", Flare asked. " He's wants to crash at my place, He's wants to crash at my place, He's wants to crash at my place,", Flare thought, hoping that his prediction wasn't going to happen.

" I want you to train me", Frost said.

" See I'd love to have you at my place, but there's simply not enough-wait what", Flare said. This came as a surprise to not just Flare, but also to Rocky and Jolt.

" I said I want you to train me", Frost said.

" Why exactly, I mean if we're talking combat, you've already proven to be a formidable opponent", Flare said.

" Maybe so, but I have no idea how to properly use my Elemental powers. Flare you have the most experience using theses powers then any of us here. I want to use these powers to protect Equestria. Plus, I wanna rematch", Frost said.

" A rematch", Flare said confusingly.

" Yeah, you may have beaten me the first time, but when I get stronger, I'm kicking your ass. Think of me as your new rival", Frost said. Flare just stared for a moment before chuckling.

" Fine, I'll train you, but keep in mind that I won't go down without a fight either", Flare said. Frost chuckled as well.

" Then it's settled", Frost said. Flare nodded and held out his hoof, Frost did the same and the two shook hooves.

" So I was wondering guys, do you wanna come with me to ponyville so I can introduce you to my other friends", Flare asked.

" I'm sorry Flare, as much as I'd love to see your friends, I still have a bar to run", Rocky said.

" And I got to get back to the Wonder Bolts, also, I don't want to interfere with your sexy times with Rarity", Jolt said followed by a smirk. Flare was now blushing again.

" I THOUGHT WE WERE THROUGH WITH THAT", Flare yelled.

" Oh, and who's Rarity", Rocky said, showing a lot of curiosity.

" She's Flare's mare friend, but he doesn't like to admit it", Jolt said.

" SHE'S NOT MY MARE FRIEND", Flare yelled.

" Flare you sly dog, why didn't you tell me you had a mare friend", Rocky said.

" BECAUSE I DON'T, SO JUST SHUT UP ABOUT IT", Flare yelled. Rocky and Jolt started laughing hysterically, heck even Frost was joining in on the fun. Flare was so mad that he looked like he was going to commit murder, but with his good conscience, he calmed down.

" Back to the matter at hand, can we at least take a group picture so I can show my friends what you guys look like", Flare asked. After Rocky, Jolt, and Frost wiped the tears from their eyes after the laughing, Rocky spoke up.

" That sounds like a great idea, hold on I think I have a camera in my bar", Rocky said. And with that, Rocky ran over to his bar to get his camera, about a minute later, Rocky came back with his camera and a camera stand to go with it. With everything set up, Flare, Frost, Rocky, and Jolt all got into position, and with a quick flash, the picture was taken. The picture turned out perfect, showing all four stallions in an amazing group picture.

And with that, another great adventure of Flare comes to a conclusion. However this is not the last time we will see Flare and his friends. The adventure continues.
