It is back my good people after 2 months of waiting and thanks to a new editor.

As some people complained that I didn't actually show his past in this chapter just a 'montage' of reactions from the mane 6 pluse the princesses next chapter is about his past

Chapter 4 The talk edited

I woke up peacefully no nightmares to speak of, it was probably the alcohol that kept the nightmares at bay, but as I got out of my bed I realized I would probably need to talk to Luna and the others today which filled me with dread. "Let's get this over with." I said, putting on my NCR duster and brought my bag. "Luna, I'm ready for that talk." I said, knocking on her door.

"Just a minute." Luna said as I heard a cat screaming and some junk falling. "Yes?" She asked with the door semi closed.

"Are you okay in there? I think I heard a cat?" I asked as she closed the door on me.

"Just give me a minute." I took a seat on the nearby steps. Five minutes passed before she left her room. "Okay Spike, lets talk. Oh, forgot to asked this last night, what were those things you injected into your shoulder?"

I winced at the question, but sighed. "The first one was called med-x it helps with the pain the second one was a stimpack It also helps with the pain but in a different way" I explain as we walked down the spiral stairs.

"So, about the nightmares you've been having?" Luna started

"Yes, I know the reason I'll explain it with the others." I said as we had got to the bottom of the stairs.

"The others?" Luna asked. She noticed the two headed bear on my back. "What does that symbol mean?"

"It is the symbol of the the bear which fought against the bull." I said, trying to replicate what Ulysses said to me.

"The bear and the bull?"

"I'll tell you once we get mom and the rest of the girls."

"Why do we need to get them?"

"I'm going to tell you everything about my travels, as much as I don't want to."

"Why don't you want to tell us about it?" Luna asked, concerned for me.

"You will see when we get together." I said, looking at the sky. "But now, let's get breakfast" I said as we walked into the dining room where everypony was waiting for us.

"What took you two so long?" Rainbow asked.

"I need to tell you guys what happened when I was gone." I said as Twilight gleamed with excitement. "Calm down Twilight" She sat back down

"Before I tell you about let's get through breakfast first." We all sat down to eat. As we were eating I over heard conversations that the others were having.

"Maybe he went to a world like the Power ponies." I overheard Rainbow and Pinkie say while I overheard Twilight and Rarity talk about what the culture was like, Fluttershy and Applejack were wondering what the symbol on my back was.

After breakfast we all headed to the garden where nopony would disturb us. "Okay before we start, I'm going to have you know that the world I was in was post apocalyptic." I told them Twilight and Luna gasped when I said it, but the rest were just wondering what that means.

"In other words a world after the end of the world." Some of them still looked confused before Luna explained. "Imagine if all of a sudden a large flood came and washed away all the land below Canterlot. The world would be In a post apocalyptic stait as a majority of life had been washed away." Luna explained further, to the shock of everypony, not her explaining just the explanation.

"Yes, just replace flood with deadly corruption and after a war that only lasted two hours and wiped out all its combattants off the face of the planet and you've got a pretty good explanation," I said as everypony looked horrified. "There's a reason I didn't want to tell you guys about this." I said as they looked at each other. "Well let's start at the beginning." I said as they gathered around me "It all started with the argument with Twilight a few months ago." I said as Pinkie raised her hand. "Yes Pinkie?"

"What was the argument about?"

"I don't remember, probably something stupid." I said as Twilight looked at me. "What?"

"Nothing" She replied

"Anyway, I ran out into the Everfree forest." I said as Rainbow interrupted me.

"Why did you run into the Everfree forest?"

"I don't know it was twentyfive years ago." I said as pinkie spoke up again.

"I thought it was three months ago?"

"Three months your time. Anyway I fell asleep in a tree and woke up in a hunting area outside a town.”

Half an hour passed.

"That's when he tough me to use a gun." I said I placed cans around the area and shot them with Maria.

"Spike, was that a..." Twilight started.

"A weapon, yes. This little things going to have more relevance later down the story." I explained as Twilight put her hands on her mouth covering up something she said. "Anyway, he didn't just teach me how to defend myself he taught me history, science,math and other skills."

An hour passed

"That's when I joined The NCR military as a Soldier." I said as they looked at each other
"But you were a baby." Twilight insisted on saying.

I rolled my eyes "Yes, but I was also twenty and by their standards. I was a young adult and before you ask, no they did not count dragon years because I didn't tell them I was a dragon. Solely on the simple basis they would have not believed me."

"Then what did they think you were?" Fluttershy asked.

"A mutant Gecko." I told them as they all looked at me. "What? They have mutants in there world. I thought I explained this?"

Two more hours pass

And that takes us to the second battle for hoover dam where I fought against the Legion" I said, finishing up. " And that was pretty much my trip before magically returning here... Well okay I left out the Sierra Madre, Zion, The big Empty, and the Divide, but those are stories for another day." I said as the everypony started talking about what had happened they were confused about the world I had told them.

“So, what did you do after the battle at beaver dam?” Rainbow asked.

“Hoover dam. And all I really did after that was help New Vegas and the Mojave rebuild from what the Legion had done.”

“What happened to the Legate Lanius? Was he imprisoned with the rest?” Twilight asked.

“... Permanently.”
