On the day the Austrian Archduke, Franz Ferdinand of Austria was assassinated, sparks in Europe had broken out. The Austrians called upon their allies and the Russians upon theirs. War had broken out all upon the continent. Nearly thirty-eight million people were killed in this "War to End All Wars." This, however, was indeed not the war to end all wars, as many more wars had broken out afterward. This is a fictional story on two World War One soldiers who have been killed and brought to a different world.

Chapter 1

"Granate!" Yelled one of Alder's brother in arms.

They were in a trench, and he had nowhere to go. He ran fast, as fast as he could, he had to see Leodra, his wife. Finally, Alder got a safe distance away. The explosion boomed as it killed one or two of his brothers. There was nothing he could do to save them, he told himself. Suddenly, there had been a loud whistling noise right above his head. Alder looked up, only to see a large conventional bomb. He had nowhere to go now, he simply kneeled down.

"Bye meine Frau" he uttered.

"OH YEAH TAKE THAT YOU GERMAN FUCKS!" Yelled out Henry's pilot.

He could not understand how his sociopathic pilot could love death so much. He, unlike most of his friends, knew that not all the Germans were bad. He felt the remorse in taking out those five germans in that trench. He saw the soldier he simply knelt down and embraced death.

"Captin, we got two enemy triplanes behind our biplane, we won't make it.

Henry looked down in worry. They only packed two parachutes, as one of the chutes was taken by a plane that needed it more.

"You two, take these," Henry tossed the parachutes at the other pilots, "Its been good to run with you"

"Sir, what are you implying, please, can't we just land at the closest airfield?" asked the younger of the three. He had been well aware that they only had two parachutes.

"No, you said it yourself, we won't make it" He state grimly.

"Bu..."

"No buts, get your sorry asses out of here" Henry stated, by now the two triplanes were closing in. The youngest and the physio pilot both nodded and grabbed the chutes. They both jumped out of the plane.

"Time to show you fuckers who's boss" he stated. He turned his plane around and ran straight into the larger triplane.
