Prologue: The new element

The new element

You may of heard of the elements of harmony: magic, loyalty, kindness, generosity, laughter, and honesty. But what you may not know that there is a seventh element: the Element of Bravery. No one was able to have enough bravery to unlock it but one pony does. A young red Kirin (which is a half pony, half dragon if you did not know) with dragon wings, tail, and teeth. Also, with brown hair and brown eyes. His name is BlazeFire.

When Blaze was young he found out that he had powers of Fire and super speed. Then he meet princess Celestia. She took him in and helped him control his powers for years. she kept his element secret for years but now she thinks that its time for him to meet twilight sparkle and her friends. She is walking in the gardens to sped with BlazeFire. She saw him meditating near a pond while his body was glowing.

"Morning BlazeFire." She said.

"Morning Princess Celestia." BlazeFire said.

Celestia giggles "Why act for formal...My son?"

Blaze smiled "It shows respect, mother." That made Celestia smile. When she met BlazeFire, he was a orphan. She found out that his parents were killed and he was left to be take care of by wolves. She couldn't just leave him so she adopted him and he became her son. But she kept it a secret, she didn't want ponies to figure out she has a heir yet.

"Its time to meet your fellow elements Blaze." She said to her son.

Blaze's smile went away as He knew he had to get used to work with the elements but he rather work alone because of how some of the guard (especially BlueBlood) treat him with disrespect.

"I know mother." He said in a sad tone, "Its just...I don't know how they will react to me. what if I like them but they don't like me? What if they like me but I don't like them? I don't know what to do then."

Celestia was worried for Blaze. Through all of his training, all his studies, he was worried for how the others will think of him.

She looked at her sad son and said, "You have nothing to worry about BlazeFire. Twilight and her friends are not of what you think. They are kind and respectable to all ponies."

Blaze looked away from his mother and looked at the water in the pond. "Look at me mother. I'm a Kirin. A freak. No one will like me except you."

Celestia was then shock of what Blaze said and she picked him up and hugged him "BlazeFire, You are not a freak. Your special in your own way, Element or not. They will love you and many other too."

Blaze smiled and hugged back "Thank you Princess." Celestia then put Blaze down. "I will send a letter to Twilight and her friends." Then she left.

Blaze looked at the pond "Will they like me?

Twilight's castle

A lavender alicorn was stacking books on the bookshelves with her dragon assistant. The dragon was purple with green spikes and green eyes. "Why do we half to do this so early again, Twilight" he said. Twilight looked at the dragon, "Because Spike, its better to do them now instead of the afternoon." she explained. Spike sighed knowing she was right but then burped a letter. "Twilight a letter from the princess." he said.

Twilight's horn glowed and levitated the letter to her. she read out loud...

Dear Twilight sparkle

I have something to tell you and your friends but I will need you to come to my castle to tell you. You will find it really interesting when you get her. Also bring spike he will be happy about this.

Twilight looked at Spike and said, "Let's get the other and head to the castle."

At sugarcube corners.

Five mares were in side the bakery on a table talking. two Pegasus: a blue cote and rainbow hair and a yellow cote and pink hair. two earth ponies: a orange cote and yellow hair with a western hat and a pink cote and pink goofy hair. and one unicorn white coted and purple hair.

"So what do you think Twilight wants this time?" the blue Pegasus asked. The orange earth pony glared, "Rainbow, Twilight said its important if we are all needed."

The pinkie earth pony then spoke, "Maybe she had a colt friend. What do you think his name might be?"

The yellow Pegasus put a hoove on the pink pony, "Pinkie I don't think those are the reason Twilight needed us." Before Pinkie spoke, Twilight went in with spike.

"Thank you all for coming." she said.

The other looked at Twilight and her dragon.

The white unicorn walked up to Twilight and Spike. "Twilight, Spike darlings what a pleasure to see you both again."

Rainbow the rose an eyebrow, "Don't you see spike every day?"

"Not now Rainbow Dash." Twilight said, "Princess Celestia sent a letter to me and spike saying that she has something important to tell us but she won't say 'til we are at her Castle."

Applejack gave her a confusing look: "Why won't she tell you in the letter if its really important.

Twilight then grabbed the letter, "I'm not sure. But knowing the princess if she say its important then its important."

Spike then shivered and said, "I have a strange feeling about this," (btw this world spike is about 19 years old).

Pinkie walked up to Spike, "Why Spike? Is it you body telling you or your mind?"

Spike then blushes at Pinkie, "Really Pinkie? Just because I'm 19 doesn't mean I'm...Well...You know."

Rarity nodded and walked to spike, "Yes Pinkie Pie. Its rude to say stuff like that."

Twilight rolled her eyes, "lets get on a train and head there tomorrow."

Everypony nodded.

Well that's the start I'm sorry if its short for some of you but its a start. I hope if you guys like it and tell me what you want to happen in the next one. I'll probably have the next one in a week depending on school work. Let me know if you want BlueBlood in the next one I have some idea. I'll see ya'll in the next one.

Celestia's castle.

Peacefully BlazeFire was calm. He got his flute to calm his from stress or nervousness. When Blaze Finish playing his song he sigh.

"It will be alright Blaze. You can handle this. Nothing to be afraid of." He looked at his mirror and saw his reflection, "You are not afraid. You are tough, You are part dragon." He went to his drawer and put on a headband. It was white with a lightning symbol on the sides. He put it on and looked at the mirror. "You can handle this." Then he heard a nock from his door. "Yes?"

Princess Celestia came in and looked at Blaze. "Still worried?"

Blaze smiled at his mother, "Yeah." he said.

Celestia saw Blaze's white headband. She gave it to him on his 4th birthday (BTW he is 15 years old.) she told him as long as he wears it he will always be brave.

"You were really happy when I gave you that headband, Everyday when it was in the wash you were like 'Where's my headband, Where's my headband' 'til you got it back."

Blaze laughed at that memory, "I really was a happy one mother." he said. "You can come out Auntie Luna."

A dark blue pony can from the side of the door smiling at the young stallion. "I hear you are having a problem, nephew." When she fund out about BlazeFire being Celestia's son she kept it a secret too.

Blaze hugged his aunt, "Maybe I am." he said.

Luna hugged her nephew back and smiled, "I know how you feel. When everypony meet me after I was free from nightmare moon I was nervous too." Celestia walked to the two and joined the hug, "The important part is that you are trying and I'm proud of that." Then they heard a nock from Blaze's door. Celestia walked to the door and opened it, "yes?"

A guard was at the door, "Your highness. Your student and her friends are here." Celestia smiled and said, "Thank you. We will be there in a moment." The guard bowed and walked away. BlazeFire looked at his mirror and combed his hair, "Its time."

Celestia's Throne room.

Twilight and her friends were waiting by Celestia's and Luna's thrones. After 5 minutes, Celestia and Luna arrived. Celestia smiled at the mane 6, "Thank you all for coming." she said. Twilight and the others bowed, "Your letter said this meeting was important?" Twilight said. "Yes." she said pausing for a moment. "Twilight and friends I have been keeping a secret from all of you." Twilight and the other were confused. Applejack spoke, "What secret princess?"

Celestia then sighed, "I always said there were six element of harmony: Magic, loyalty, laughter, kindness, generosity, and honesty." Twilight and the other nodded. "I have been training a pony that is actually a part of the elements." Twilight and the others were then shock. Twilight spoke, "Why keep it a secret?" Celestia walked up to the elements, "Because he had some difficultly try to control some abilities of his: Fire and Super Speed. And he was worried of his appearance."

Twilight and the others were shocked "His!?"

Celestia nodded, "Yes, 'his'. The pony joining you is a colt. Twilight and friends I would like you to meet: BlazingFire". BlazeFire showed up behind Celestia's throne. Twilight and the others saw him with his wings, tail, everything. BlazeFire walked to twilight and the others: "Nice to meet all of you."

Rarity had a look at him. His red cote and brown hair, his tail, "That is a unusually colt." she said in her mind. Fluttershy looked at him and wasn't scared. She didn't see him as weird but cute. Applejack was confused of the pony's appearance. Rainbow dash looked at Blaze with a surprised look. (Her mind) If his ability is speed now I know why."

Twilight then spoke, "Hello BlazeFire. What are you exactly?" BlazeFire knew this was coming and said, "I'm a Kirin. Half pony and Half dragon." When spike heard the word dragon he spoke, "Dragon like me." Celestia chuckled, "Almost Spike he does have some dragon like abilities." Rainbow Dash was not impressed "Your kidding right?" Blaze smile went away. "There is no way this colt can be a element, He is too young."

Luna didn't like what Rainbow dash said, "Rainbow dash, She yelled at the Pegasus, "This is no laughing matter. BlazeFire is one with the element of bravery." Pinkie Pie's eyebrow rose, "Bravery?" BlazeFire nodded, "Yes Bravery." he said. The mares were speechless. They never thought that there new element was a young colt. Rainbow then Spoke, "You said he has abilities. I want to see them."

Blaze's smile went back, "Are you challenging me, Rainbow dash?" Rainbow dash looked at Blaze with confusion, "Challenge?" BlazeFire nodded, "Yes, but my abilities are best shown...By Combat." Twilight and the others were speechless. No one has ever challenge Rainbow dash, Expect AJ. Rainbow grinned, at the half pony/ half dragon, "You think you can take me kid?"

BlazeFire got into a fighting stance, "I know I can take you, Dashie". Rainbow flew right to BlazeFire but then he ran in a red blur. Rainbow Das's eye's Widened, "What the hay?" "How did he..." Blaze ran right to dash punching her in the face. "Ow." Rainbow groaned. Blaze smiled and looked away from dash "This is fun," He said, "But I don't want to hurt a fellow element."

Rainbow was angry and ran to blaze as fast as she can. BlazeFire Looked behind him and said, "SONIC KICK!" as he kick his right back hoove. and a red light stream was made and flew to rainbow sending her back down. "We are done." he said as he walked to dash and helped her up.

Celestia and Luna walked behind BlazeFire. Celestia spoke, "Rainbow, When BlazeFire is challenge he doesn't take things as lightly sometimes." Rainbow nodded at the princess, "I understand, princess." She looked at Blaze, "Not bad moves for a colt." Blaze smiled, "If we are done fighting, I'll go pack some bags." he left the room. Twilight and the others are now confused. Fluttershy spoke, "Why?"

Celestia walked to her throne then spoke, "BlazeFire, not only he has to get used to all of you but some other ponies as well. He will be living with one of you for a while." BlazeFire came back with a few bags: "I'm ready." Spike smiled, "This will be awesome. Another dragon on the team." BlazeFire chuckled, "I know he is happy." he said.

From a corner a white stallion with blonde hair saw looking at them, "About time the thing leaves." Unfortunately, BlazeFire heard the voice with his dragon ears. "Come on out BlueBlood." The stallion was shocked. BlueBlood came out and spoke, "Nice to see everypony again." He tried to make a fake smile." BlazeFire gave BlueBlood a mad face, "I heard what you said blue, 'About time that thing leaves.'"

Twilight and the other didn't like BlueBlood either, especially Rarity. Celestia spoke in a mean tone, "Remember what happened last time you called BlazeFire something BlueBlood." BlueBloom was not happy. When BlazeFire was in the gardens months ago alone, BlueBlood walked to him and called Blaze a abomination. Next thing BlueBlood found out he was in the hospital was crack ribs, a black eye, and he was coughing Blood.

BlueBlood nodded, "Yes Auntie, I know." Then he left. BlazeFire looked back at twilight and the others, "So, shall we take our leave." The mares and dragon nodded. Not wanting to know what happened to blue but got advice from him: Don't make BlazeFire mad.

Celestia walked to BlazeFire and said, "Be careful Blazefire." BlazeFire hugged his mother, "I will, Princess." BlazeFire and the others got on the train and left for ponyville.

On the train.

BlazeFire looked out the window of the train looking at the beauty of equestria. BlazeFire never went outside of the castle before so its all new to him. When Blaze meet the other elements it went a little better then he fought. Speaking of the others they were in the dinning car talking about BlazeFire. "So," Twilight spoke, " who do you all think BlazeFire should live with?" Rarity spoke first, "Not to be rude, But I don't think BlazeFire living at my place will work well."

"Since he has wing," Rainbow said, "He can go to my place and teach my that move he did." Everypony except rainbow rolled their eyes, but they want to know what Blaze did back when he fought Rainbow. "He might me good enough to help my family bucking some trees back home." AppleJack said. "Oh oh oh," Pinkie started, "Blazey and I will home a lot of fun at my place. we can have tea parties, sleepovers, pillow fights, you name it." Fluttershy spoke last, "I think Blaze would like to get used to a calm environment first so he should be at my place."

Everypony stared at shy. They knew she was right. After hearing what he did to blueblood months ago its safe for him. But what they don't get is why shy would want him to stay. "That is actually a good idea." Twilight explained, "Calm, relaxing place for BlazeFire to stay 'til he gets his own place." The other agreed but didn't notice spike went to talk with BlazeFire. He saw Blaze looking out the window like he was in his own world.

"Hey Blaze". BlazeFire turned and saw the purple dragon. "Hi... um ...Spike correct?" Spike nodded. "I really want to ask something." BlazeFire nodded, "What's up?" he asked. Spike sigh, "That move you did on rainbow dash, what was it?" "You mean my Sonic Kick?" Blaze asked the purple dragon. Spike nodded. Blaze chuckled, "It was a hard move to unlock and master, I kept making holes in the princess's castle." Spike then laughed a bit. "You know," he said, "I wish I could do stuff like that."

BlazeFire looked at spike with a confused look. "Your a dragon. You have many abilities." Spike looked at Blaze, "I mean to defend myself. I'm most likely saved by twilight or the others." BlazeFire nodded, he knew what it was like being protected so much, "What if I trained you spike?" Spike then looked at Blaze with a shocked look, "What?"

BlazeFire leaned to spike and whispered, "I can train you to learn how to fight and use some abilities of your own." Spike then thought for a minute. He did say he would like to learn to fight. "That will be awesome Blaze, Thanks" he said. BlazeFire then smiled at the dragon, Spike reminded him so much of himself when he was younger.

At the ponyville schoolhouse.

The bell rang, meaning school was over for the weekend. Three pony walked out: One was yellow with reddish hair with a ribbon on her head, another was a Pegasus oranges with purple hair, and one was a unicorn white with colorful hair. There names were AppleBloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle. "So both of your sisters left but didn't tell you why?" Scootaloo asked. AppleBloom shacked her head no, "No all she say was that it was important and ran off." Sweetie Belle nodded, "Same."

The three walk to sugarcube corners for a snack, but then saw Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash walking to the bakery. Then the notice another pony was walking with them he looked about their age. Then they walked to the group. "Howdy applejack, nice to see that your back." AppleBloom said to her sister. "Hi Rarity, looking beautiful as usual." Sweetie Belle Complimented. "Sup Rainbow dash." Scootaloo said to Rainbow.

Three mares looked the fillies and all say hi. Scootaloo then spoke, "Who's the kid?" BlazeFire walked to the CMC, "I am BlazeFire, Nice to meet all of you." The CMC said hello but sweetie belle looked at Blaze with lovin' look. BlazeFire then looked at the sun and back to the fillies, "Nice to meet all of you but I gotta meet with spike." AppleJack was confused "why." She asked.

"We have some training to do, bye" He said as he left. Rainbow and the others left but the CMC followed BlazeFire secretly. They were told from their sister that Blaze was half pony and half dragon so they wanted to she what he was doing, especially Sweetie Belle. BlazeFire found spike where he said to met him then they left again. "Why is Spike hanging out with BlazeFire?" Scootaloo asked. "And why is he wearing karate clothes." AppleBloom added.

Sweetie Belle wasn't listening. She was only staring at Blaze. Scootaloo and AppleBloom saw her staring at Blaze and knew what she was thinking. AppleBloom smirked, "Looks like somepony's got a crush." Scootaloo smirked as well, "On a certain Kirin pony." Sweetie Belle snapped out of her trance and looked nervous, "What with BlazeFire. No we just met. No way." She tried to denied it but kept wondering about Blaze.

Scootaloo laughed, "Don't worry Sweetie Belle. We were messing' around." AppleBloom laughed too, "Yeah its cool you start to see some pony." Sweetie Belle and the other followed Blaze and Spike and still talked. Sweetie Belle trying to defend herself, "I mean he is really nice and cool with those dragon stuff and his... his." She stopped walking and daydreamed. AppleBloom and Scootaloo then helped Sweetie walk the rest of the way. "He is so cute." she said, "The brown hair and wings." *Giggles*

Out by a open field Blaze and Spike got ready for their training. BlazeFire looked at spike, "You know this training won't be easy." Spike smiled, "To be honest, I don't like easy."

Blaze and spiked then laughed.

Outer Fields

BlazeFire and Spike was ready for training. Blaze was wearing a black headband and spike was wearing a green headband. BlazeFire walked up to Spike and said. "Alrighty Spike we start by running for 4 miles up the mountains and go be a nearby stream them you will learn punching." Spike was paused for a second, "f.f.f....four MILES!?" Blaze didn't react and said, "Yes" Spike was shocked, "Are you kidding me? I cant run that far, I'll pass out." Blaze rolled his eyes, "You'll be fine."

4 miles later.

Blaze was meditating on the hill while spike was climbing. When Spike got to the top he wasn't happy. "how...*huff* are you...*huff* not tired?" BlazeFire walked up to Spike, "Years of practice my dragon friend." He got up and helped spike up and gave his a bottle of water. "You can rest for now then we can continue."

Spike fell to the ground almost passed out, "This is gonna be worth it."

Ponyville

BlazeFire walked in fluttershy's cottage to get some water then head back to Spike. Then he looked at a mirror, "Maybe if I need to get used to other maybe I should tend school." "No, Your a Kirin, They'll know what u are." Then he had a idea. "Unless.." he made his body glow. his wings went inside his body. his tail was now a regular pony tail, teeth normal. He successfully made himself a full pony, temporary. "Hmm, something is missing." He made himself glasses and looked at the mirror. "better". he wrote his look in a note pad, changed back and back to Spike.

An hour later, with spike.

Spike was doing a few punches BlazeFire told him to do, "Blaze did say this wont be easy." Spike looked at the stream thinking to himself I hope I know what I'm doing. Blaze showed up behind spike. "Sorry I took so long I was thinking." Blaze walked up to spike and saw him looking at the stream. "Something wrong?"

Spike looked at Blaze and said, "I feel like I'm making a mistake." Blaze gave spike a confusing look. "I don't feel like I can do this." BlazeFire knew how spike felt. "I know how you feel spike. When I was young fighting was new to me too. I wasn't always this tough." Spike looked at Blaze as he continued, "I was small, weak, and no very popular. I was gonna give up fighting 'til I met one of Celestia's guards." Spike was now interested, "What was his or her name?"

"SunStreamer," BlazeFire explained, "She helped me, train me, and she was like a sister to me." "I wonder why I never saw her." spike said confusingly. "That's because she not with the world." BlazeFire had tears in his eyes. Spike was confuse 'til he knew what Blaze meant, "Blaze I'm sorry." BlazeFire sniffed, "Its fine she was a great pony."

Spike then got up, "Lets continue." he said. Blaze then grinned. "You will get hurt." Spike smirked, "Wont be the first time." Blaze chuckled as he and spike left the mountain.

The next day

Blaze saw in his regular pony form wearing black glasses and had a backpack. He brushed his teeth and combed his hair, "Time for school." he said as he walked outside Fluttershy's House and walked to the school near AppleBloom's place. He saw the building and went inside and saw a mare in red-violet cote with light pink hair. "Oh hello," She said, "You must be the new student that called me." BlazeFire nodded, "Yep, I'm BlazingFire but I prefer BlazeFire." He told the teacher. She wrote his name down and she saw the other students come in and take their seats.

"Good Morning Children," She said to the class. "Morning Miss Cheerilee." Everyone said back. BlazeFire saw AppleBloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo in their seats knowing they are in for a surprise. "Everyone we have a new student today." Cheerilee said to the class, "Please welcome our new student BlazeFire." BlazeFire walked up to the class, "Hey everypony, nice to meet you all." He said. AppleBloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle and surprised looks.

"BlazeFire would you please have a seat near Sweetie belle?" Cheerillee asked politely. "Yes ma'am." BlazeFire said as he walked to the desk near Sweetie Belle. That made her blush. BlazeFire the kirin she fell in love with who looked different, saw sitting near her. "Alright class." Miss Cheerilee said, "Please have you books out to page 56." BlazeFire got his bag and grabbed a textbook and opened the page.

After class, recess was in session. All the fillies and colt were playing but BlazeFire was sitting near a tree drawing in one of his notebooks. Then AppleBloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle walked to him. "Hey girls, how school?" He asked them. Sweetie Belle was the first to spoke, "BlazeFire no offence but, what happened to you?" BlazeFIre was confused at first but remembered he transformed himself. "Oh," he spoke, "I forgot, see I made a spell to look like I'm just a regular pony the glasses help." he explained. "Oh," the three fillies said.

Then two fillies appeared one was pink with white and purple hair and the other was silver with gray hair and blue glasses. "Why would those blank flanks talk to the new pony?" the pink pony said. "Maybe to tell him to join their club." the silver one said. The two fillies walked to the four, "Well, well look who we have here." the pink one said. The three fillies and BlazeFire looked at the two fillies walking towards them. "Friends of yours?" he asked. The three shook their heads no.

The two fillies walked pass the three friends at sat near BlazeFire. The pink one spoke first, "Hi there, I'm Diamond Tiara." Then the Silver one spoke, "And I'm Silver Spoon." BlazeFire didn't know what was going on, "Hi I'm BlazeFire, the new pony." To AppleBloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle they were shocked. They never say Diamond Tiara or Silver Spoon act weird to a new pony before. "What you doin'?" Diamond asked scooting closer to Blaze which made his blush. "Um I'm just drawing." He said as he had a light blush on his face.

Sweetie Belle was not happy. She loved BlazeFire but it seem like Diamond and Silver liked him too. Then the bell ran, "Well see you cutie." Diamond said as she and Silver walked back to class. Blaze grabbed his thing and walked with the three friends. "Well that was interesting." which was all BlazeFire can say.

After School

The four friends walked back to sugarcube corners, and got some shakes. "So those two are not friends of yours?" BlazeFire asked still in his regular pony form. The three nodded. "Those two are bullies at the school." AppleBloom told BlazeFire. "Yeah you shouldn't talk with them." Scootaloo added. Sweetie Belle didn't say a word. BlazeFIre thought about their words for a moment. "I'll think about it next time I see them."

After they had their shakes, BlazeFire and the others walked back to Fluttershy's house, said good-bye, and went their separate ways. BlazeFire changed back to his Kirin form and took a nap on his new bed.
