Chapter 2: Giant Dad

Previous Chapter

(Ges POV/Time: 11:45 am)

"Where're we going, Ges?" Says the peppy little unicorn. I look behind me to see she's still playing with the assorted items I got, such as the bandages, paper, and other assorted everyday items.

"Well Tia we're going to where all the other giant people live." I tell her, which she then proceeds to climb onto my shoulder. I then pick her up to help her onto my head.

"I can see everything up here!" She yells out giggling the entire time.

"What do we have here! A unicorn that can talk! Oh what a rare find." I hear a voice call out it seemed...unnatural.

"Sirens have no place here leave now or prepare to fight." I say in reply putting down Tia.

"Wow and just look at that cart it's just full of so many valuable items, I mean seriously just look at that scythe and that Great sword." She says while coming out of hiding.

"You will fall by my hand monster." I say pulling out the giant scythe.

"I'm flattered by the proposal, but what do you have that makes you think you'll win this fight?"

"I'm a Milletian and I have a weapon that can kill you with one strike."

"You aren't the only Milletian I've killed." With this she dashes forward pulling out a rapier. I manage to sidestep the attack, then her legs hook around mine in the same instance throwing me into the ground. She just laughs at this and kicks me away like I'm just a pile of trash.

"How'd you get to the Iria continent anyway!" I demanded, but she just ignored me.

"Wow, aren't you just adorable! This little unicorn could fetch a high price!" With this statement I used one of the giants very potent abilities. Rage Impact. With this ability all the surrounding mana in the air became supercharged paralyzing everyone in a six foot radius for a short amount of time.

"You will die on this day!" I yell out hoping this short burst will finish the job. Then someone grabbed my arm from behind me and threw me over their shoulder abruptly.

"Oh sweetie did you really think that'd work." When I saw who it was it shocked me to no end.

"There are two of you?!"

"Of course not don't you know how magic works." With this I then used a last resort ability that rarely works for me. I quickly swapped out my equipment for the alchemy cylinders.

"Do you know how Alchemy works." With this statement I inputs five clay crystals and used Hydra Transmutation. She braced for the oncoming onslaught that never came when she saw I was attempting Dark Transmutation.

"Well then I must take my leave." She said chuckling seeing my failure of course with her back turned I inputted two water crystals and one wind crystal. This combination works like the magic spell Freeze, trapping her in a coating of ice.

"Yes we shall leave you to it. Remember don't ever turn your back on an alchemist!" I then started laughing quite loudly...I should practice Dark Transmutation more to avoid those kind of screw ups.

"What just happened there giant dad?" Asked Tia clearly confused what just happened during the whole debacle.

"I used a lot of gold to save our lives...in a sense...I'm also almost out of clay crystals and I only have eight water crystals left." I tell her which she can only tilt her head in confusion at this.

"What's a water crystal?" She asks seemingly intrigued with alchemy. I then pull out a book from the cart about alchemy.

"It says here that it's a crystal that contains the condensed power of water, one of the 4 basic elements." I'm not sure how'd a unicorn would use alchemy without cylinders, but I'm sure she'll be fine...for the most part.

"That's sounds cool!" She says diving into my alchemy bag grabbing a fireball crystal instead of a fire crystal. Then she grabbed the Icespear crystals.

"Those are called Fine Crystals, Tia." I said as she inspected the shape of it with a symbol embedded on it.

"They don't look Fine to me...they look weird and strange." She says bluntly.

"That's because those are man made and produce more violent affects than normal crystals.

"Why would people do that?"

"The answer to that young one is simple...war and indifference!" I explain, "The many people before us were constantly in war with each other for many different reasons, some understandable, and some completely ridiculous. Mages looked down on Alchemists since they always had more strength and before they thought that magic was always the answer to problems! However Alchemist didn't like this and did things in a more...natural way to put it simply. But one day an alchemist found a way to create his own altered crystals that are just as powerful if not more than the spells of Mages."

"What happened then?"

"The Mages were furious, but not all of them, and the ones that weren't found a way to implement both combat alchemy and magic. Then Golems were made, I can make a golem, but I don't have enough crystals at the moment so you'll have to wait till then alright. Anyways with the birth of new technique, so to speak, more and more people started revolutionizing the world. Even simple bards were able to change the tide of battle with the revolution." I exclaimed as I pulled out a whistle and started playing a song.

"Wow! That's so cool!" Screamed Tia excitedly.

"Of course with this rise some people got a bit...greedy from time to time, but don't worry about that I'll make sure your safe until we find your home." I replied hoping that she doesn't find out about the Wars that occurred recently.

"Could you teach me how to do alchemy?" She asks me hopefully with a sparkle in her eye.

"Sure why not, though it may be a bit difficult for me to teach since you don't have hands. I'm sure you'll do fine though." I tell causing her to squee in excitement.

"Thank you, thank you, and thank you very very much!" She says jumping around happily. I then look ahead of to see if I can spot any landmarks. After about two hours of fiddling around and nothing really interesting I saw something akin to a body of water ahead.

"Hey Ges...Ges...Ges...Ge-"

"Yes, Tia?" I say interrupting her.

"I'm hungry give me food!" She says prodding through my bags.

"Hey not yet! We haven't setup camp yet" I said while pulling her out of the bag with a potato chip in her mouth, "Where'd you find the potato chips?"

"I found them." She says nonchalantly as she starts nibbling on the chips while I kept her suspended in the air.

"You know what? I'm gonna cook tonight instead of stale bread." I told her as I put her down and let her keep eating the chips...I don't remember ever making any chips though, or buying them.

"I bet you're an amazing cook!" She exclaimed happily.

"Yup, just keep telling yourself that." I said smiling as I thought of what I'd make.

(Rosen POV/Time: 12:00 pm)

I hear people running around me with constant chatter as I wake up groggily.

"Oh your awake miss. Thought you'd never come around, but I thought it'd be rude to wake you." Says the local blacksmith...honestly I forgot his name since I normally head to Huw when I need anything regarding equipment.

"Good morning sir." I saw stifling a yawn slightly as I try and get up.

"Oh it's way past morning dearie." He replies with a smile as he uses his arm to hoist me up from the ground.

"Huh must've slept like a log." I say drearily still half asleep.

"That's for sure since you didn't wake to the sound of the Giant and Elven expedition squads arriving from the Iria continent!" He then starts laughing at the situation which annoyed me a bit, but understandable nevertheless.

"Well alright then thanks for the warm welcome sir...also do you know when the ship arrives today?"

"Oh you mean the one that's leaving now!" With his statement I grab my tent and any belongings as quickly as possible not even bothering to put them in my bag.

"Wait for me!" I yell out hoping they'd listen, and very clearly they didn't. I then used my specialized magic to form an invisible bridge of wire. I used an altered version of Puppets Snare to do it.

"What is wrong with that chick?" I heard a couple workers say as I felt the bridge collapse. With one final jump I made a leap of faith.

"I'm gonna make it." I mumble to self smiling just as I got a handhold, but then my hand slipped thusly gravity threw me painfully into the water.

"Oh sweet I got a big one!" I heard a fisherman yell as he hoisted me out of the water, "oh never mind the catch was a dud."

"Have a good day." I say as I trudge back to the blacksmiths shop to dry myself off with the heat.

"So how'd that go little miss?" He asks me clearly knowing the answer.

"It went well I swam with the fishes for once!" I then took of my shoes and Mana Bracelet. Then I took of my shirt, and with that I was left with nothing to wear except my undergarments.

"I see someone took my suggestion to heart." I hear the gypsy say.

"Well I don't see you doing it?" I reply with an annoyed tone.

"That's because you aren't looking my way hot stuff." He says calmly as I turn to see he went full nudist on me.

"What are doing?! Are you crazy?!" I yell at him while strangling him.

"Oh yes~." He says as I look down.

"Nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope! I'm out."

"Cover your eyes Timmy!" I heard some random person tell their kid.

"Oh come on don't be so embarrassed were all civilized people here!" he yelled out with a cheeky grin. I then use the Puppets Snare technique on him except I charged the wire with mana as to not hurt him, and to make the wires not so invisible.

"Move along people nothing to see!" I yell them which get's some of them moving again, but not much. Half of the boys stayed and kept staring at the scene expecting something from the situation. I'm not sure what they expected but they sure didn't get it.

"Aw~ do you not want me to embarrass myself, that's sooooooo sweeeeet!"

"Shut up and turn yourself invisible so you can put your clothes back on!" I saw quickly.

"No need I used the invisibility spell on my clothes I just need to deactivate the spell...did you know it's easier to turn inanimate objects invisible rather than a living creature?" he says in reply calming me down a bit, while giving me useless trivia.

"I may be an elf, but I don't do much magic at all. I don't even know basic ice bolt spells."

"But you excel in...other things." he says while wiggling his eyebrows as he deactivates the spell he put on his clothes. To me this held no significance, but to others who don't know what he's actually talking about...oh that son of a bitch.

"You really do have no shame do you." I say in reply massaging my forehead trying to calm myself down.

"The answer then is the answer now...NOPE!"
