Sunset Shimmer is Replaced by a Screaming Man who's on Fire and Nobody Notices
On a sunny, Spring morning at Canterlot High-school, Twilight Sparkle sat on the steps as she waited for the bell to ring with her friend.
“Oh God, it burns! Someone, anyone, please help me!”
Sunset Shimmer.
“So, Sunset, how was your weekend?” Twilight asked as she put down a book and turned to look at her new friend.
“I'm on fire and you ask about someone I've never heard of!?” Sunset asked, her personality radiant as ever. “Oh forget it! Just call 911 before I die!”
Twilight giggled. “My weekend was pretty good too! I watched a movie with Rainbow Dash,” she said. “Something with firefighters. Back… something. I forget...”
“I don't care!” Sunset screamed as she grabbed she grabbed her hair. She ripped some out and screamed even louder—no doubt destroying a vocal cord in the process. “This hurts so fucking much!”
Twilight rolled her eyes. “You're such a drama queen,” she said with a half smile. “I know you got a paper cut yesterday. You wouldn't stop texting me about it.”
“Since when do paper cuts set people on fire!?” Sunset asked as she ripped out the rest of her hair. “Last I checked, they only make you bleed!”
“Well, then maybe you should handle paper better,” Twilight replied. “Oh, before I forget, do you want to hangout later? The girls and I are going to get milkshakes later!”
“I won't be here in five minutes if you don't put out this fire you idiot!” Sunset screamed as she rolled on the ground.
And right into Rarity.
“Oh, Sunset!” Rarity said with a surprised tone of voice. “I love your new outfit! It definitely welcomes Summer!”
“Help me!”
“Oh, I know what you mean,” Rarity said as she fanned herself. “This heat is unbearable.”
“That's me you imbecile!” Sunset snapped. “Now, please, help me!”
Rarity rolled her eyes as Twilight walked over. “Oh, hey, Twilight! Did you notice Sunset's marvelous new outfit?”
Twilight looked at Sunset, who was rolling around once again. “Oh, you're right, Rarity!” she exclaimed. “It's absolutely splendid!”
Sunset stood up once more and grabbed Rarity by the shoulders. “Are you blind, kid!?” she screamed, leaving two hand print burn marks on the fashionistas shoulders.
“Hmm… yes, it is quite bright out.” Rarity took out a pair of sunglasses and smiled. “Much better! Thanks for the advice, Sunset!”
Sunset let out another ridiculously high pitched scream that would make a banshee blush and ran into the school.
Rarity chuckled. “I've never seen Sunset so eager to get to class,” she said. “I guess you're rubbing off on her.”
Twilight blushed. “I guess so.”
Meanwhile, Sunset frantically looked around as she screamed at the top of her lungs. Dozens of kids were all talking, and a few waved to her, smiles on all of their faces. She ran up to one and grabbed her shoulders. “Kid! I need you to dial 911 now, or I'm going to die!”
“Whoa, Sunset!” Rainbow Dash said as she gently pushed the walking, talking inferno back—and ignoring the fact her hand had just become an extra crispy treat for carnivores the world over. “You know better than to run in the hallway! Principal Celestia will have a fit!”
“Who cares!?” Sunset yelled, dwarfing the sound of the other students the same way a fighter jet dwarfs the sound of a cocker spaniel. “Kill me! Please!”
Rainbow laughed. “Oh, come on, Sunset,” she said as she put her arm around her friend—which made her arm become something resembling a burnt string of sausages. “I know school blows, but it's not like we're going to be trapped here forever!”
Sunset let out another preposterously loud scream as she ran away from Rainbow and ran straight into Applejack, who was about two feet from Rainbow.
“Howdy, Sunset!” Applejack said. “You excited for that pizza party we're going to have later?”
“No! I hate pizza!” Sunset snapped. “Now, please, direct me to someone who can help me with my being on fire issue!”
“Oh, I know. I had heartburn after our last pizza party, too,” Applejack said. “Anyways, I'd love to chat, but I've gotta get my stuff ready for class. See you around!”
Sunset face palmed before she let out another high-pitched scream. She ran off in a random direction until Pinkie Pie jumped up in front of her. “Hey ya, Sunset! How's it hanging?”
“I’m on fire,” Sunset deadpanned as she stepped back from the incomprehensible ball of energy that stood before her. “Yourself?”
“Oh, I just felt my Pinkie senses go wild and it lead me to you!” Pinkie said as she examined Sunset from crispy top to charred bottom. “I dunno why, everything seems normal to me!”
“How can you not tell everything's not normal!?” Sunset asked, her mouth hanging open—which revealed the worst case of heartburn ever (and even more fire). “I'm a human done medium rare!”
Pinkie rubbed her chin. “Nope, everything seems normal to me!” she said with a smile. “Anyways, I need to help Rainbow organize her locker! Catch you later!”
Sunset face palmed once more and ran bashed her head against a nearby locker repeatedly.
“Oh, um, excuse me, Sunset,” Fluttershy said from behind the blazing inferno. “I need to get my books.”
Sunset spun around; fire in her eyes.
Literally.
“Go ahead! I'll just burn alive next to it!” Sunset said angrily as she flailed her arms wildly. “So, how's your life going, Joe? Oh, just fine except for the fact that I’m on fire! Won't someone please help me!? This hurts so damn much!”
Fluttershy stared at Sunset blankly from behind her hair, which had caught fire from one of Sunset's arms. “Are you okay, Sunset?”
“No, I am not okay!” Sunset roared. “Now, get your shit so I can resume giving myself a concussion!”
“Oh, you aren't feeling well either?” Fluttershy asked. “That's just awful. My mom's got a terrible cold. Angel and I made her some soup though. I think she’ll be better by tomorrow.”
Sunset fell to the floor and curled up into a ball, which gave her the appearance of a human meteor. “I hate you all so much,” she said.
Fluttershy walked over to her locker and opened it. “Anyways, you should get ready for class,” she said. “I’ll talk to you later! And I hope you feel better”
Sunset bashed her head against the floor as until the bell rang. As the students all made their way to their classes, Sunset continued to resemble a flaming human cannonball until a janitor walked over and nudged her with a boot.
“Hey, kid, you gotta get to class,” he grumbled, ignoring the fact his boot had caught fire. “Unless you want to go to the principal's office.”
Sunset stood up and grabbed the janitor's collar. “I'll do it myself!” she said as she ran towards the principal's office. She kicked open the door to the and ran up to the desk. “I can't take it anymore!” she screamed before she pushed Celestia aside and jumped out the window behind her, to which she landed on the asphalt below and ran into the woods.
Celestia stared at the shattered window, slackjawed. “That's going to cost a fortune,” she said after a few seconds. She let out a heavy sigh and sat back down. “Oh well, I better get Sunset in here to help me do announcements this morning.”
Meanwhile, Sunset ran through the woods until she fell down a hill and broke her neck.
The Dazzlings would later succeed in their plan in taking over the world.
Sunset never stopped burning and the woods caught fire. The fire was never put out due to it not being extinguishable.
On the bright side, Midnight Sparkle never came to be.
On the downside, the whole of Equestria was eventually engulfed in fire thanks to Sunset Shimmer.
