Equine Warfare: Equus Offensive
Dawn… The time where Princess Celestia of Equestria raises the sun to start the new day. Nearby the Canterlot Air Naval Base sits, onies of all three races wake up to the sound of trumpets. Each one of them quickly get ready for the day ahead. In the Rainbow Factory Squadron, the squadron led by Rainbow Dash of course, Pegasi got their flight suits on and galloped out of the barracks to their assigned fighting aircraft. A black pegasus stallion with light turquoise eyes, and a light indigo mane/tail trotted over to a F-14A Tomcat fighter jet. His copilot being a white pegasus stallion with a light brown mane/tail caught up to him. The two climbed into the cockpit and strapped themselves in before putting on their helmets and installing their oxygen nozzles.
A Earth Pony checks to make sure they’re strapped in correctly, and make sure everything is working before signaling them to close the canopy.
“Thunder Charge! Wild Ace! You are cleared for takeoff on Runway 22!” came the voice of a mare from the air traffic control tower.
“Copy that over!” Thunder Charge said, “RF-4 is taking off!”
The Tomcat takes off, followed by a second Tomcat. Inside the control tower, Captain Rainbow Dash, walks up to a white unicorn mare with jet black mane/tail.
“Report!” Rainbow Dash ordered.
“Yes Ma’am!” the mare grabbed her clipboard with the assignments for the day. “Well while we have most of our patrols throughout Equestria. There are two patrols investigating some concerning chatter for the past couple of days. It seems there have been reports of a potential coup d'etat in Saddle Arabia.”
“Which patrols?”
“Thunder Charge and Wild Ace. Maverick and Blaze.”
Rainbow Dash lets out a slight groan and a sigh at the mention of Maverick’s name.
“Okay keep me informed on their status.”
In the nation of Saddle Arabia. A green stallion wearing a thawb exits the car he was riding in, and enters a house in the Arabian desert. On guard are several other stallions wielding AK-47 assault rifles, and wearing a tagelmust. Two of which guard the front door, who allow the stallion entry upon sight.
Inside are more stallions wearing thawbs. They stand when the green stallion enters and goes over to the head of the dinner table. Then they all take a seat.
“(Everything is going according to plan.)” the green stallion proclaimed in Arabic, “(Today is the day when we will finally take control of Saddle Arabia.)”
“(What of Equestria?)” said the stallion at the opposite end of the table.
“(We may have to defend ourselves. Equestria must not foil our plans.)”
Just then two F-14s screamed overhead. Which means that Thunder and Maverick are flying overhead. There is a commotion outside as the guards ready the FIM-92 Stinger missiles, and anti-aircraft guns. The guns were hidden underneath camouflage tarps, thus weren’t noticed by aircraft, unless it was a threat.
“(No! Don’t!)” the green stallion exclaimed as he hurried outside. By the time he did get outside to stop his men from shooting down the aircraft, the anti-aircraft gatling guns were already firing at the Tomcats.
Inside Thunder and Wild’s Tomcat. The two recorded everything they needed, even the anti-aircraft weaponry being unveiled.
“SHIT! Evasive maneuvers!” Wild said.
Thunder held onto the control stick and maneuvered the plane to avoid the gunfire from below. However a dozen bullets still entered the cockpit. Where they wounded Thunder, but majority entered Wild, mortally wounding him.
“Ace!? Ace! Answer me!” Thunder was doing his best to keep control of his plane. As Maverick’s Tomcat flew beside his plane.
“Are you okay man!?” Maverick asked.
“No! Ace has been shot and I’m trying to keep this bird in the air! Let’s get back to base!”
“(You idiot!)” the green stallion bucked his hind legs into one of the guards’ face. Knocking the poor stallion to the ground, dazed and confused temporarily.
“(Looks like our schedule has been moved up. We must leave at once!)”
The two fighter jets managed to return to base mostly intact. Thunder was able to fly his damaged Tomcat back to Canterlot Air Naval Base, and landed it successfully. Rainbow Dash and a medical team immediately rushed over to see to Wild Ace’s wounds. The unicorn medics carefully lifted Ace out of the cockpit and down to the gurney at the bottom of the ladder. Thunder carefully climbed out as he too was injured.
Get them to the hospital pronto! I will debrief you later Thunder Charge!” Rainbow Dash said.
The gurney carrying Wild Ace was pushed into the hospital with magic. As doctors and nurses surrounded the moving gurney.
“We’ve got massive blood loss! Heart rate is dropping! So is blood pressure!” said one doctor.
“:Let’s get him to surgery quickly!” said the lead doctor.
Just then Wild Ace flatlined. Doctors quickly performed CPR on him a few times, but his heart rate never recovered.
“Time of death is 1030 hours.” the lead doctor sadly declared while looking at his watch. Not too far behind was the gurney carrying Thunder Crash. Who heard the commotion and even his copilot/best friend’s declaration of death. Tears leaked out of his eyes and onto his cheeks. He shook his head in refusal. Hoping this was just a nightmare and he was going to wake up. However, it wasn’t a nightmare, and he was wide awake. This is the reality he is in right now. His friend was dead, and he was never going to come back.
Rainbow Dash knocked on thunder’s hospital room door. It was unlocked so she opened the door and saw Thunder getting ready to leave the hospital.
“Leaving already Lieutenant?” she asked.
“Captain!” Thunder said with a salute.
“I still need to debrief you.” Rainbow Dash enters the room, “From what Maverick told me. You guys found something pointing to some of the rumors we’ve been getting over COM chatter.”
“Yes Ma’am! We encountered what appeared to be a very well armed terrorist group. We don’t know why they were out there, but I suspect they’re planning something big.”
“I’m going to go over every photograph you captured. Then I’ll send your report and the photos to the Royal Military Command in Canterlot. Good work Lieutenant!” Rainbow Dash gave Thunder a salute.
“Thank you Ma’am!” Thunder gave a salute back.
Back in Saddle Arabia… The green stallion and his group reached the capital city. Where they parked their vehicles and got out. They trotted over to a warehouse with determination. Ready to begin their months of planning. Of course there was an anti-royal family protests are taking place all over the city. The police are doing everything to keep the peace, but the protests are starting to become increasingly violent. Everything is going according to plan. The green stallion thought to himself. First phase is to start civil unrest. Second phase is about to begin.
“(Akeem!)” one of the thawb wearing ponies said to him.
“(We have to begin now!)” the green stallion, Akeem said.
The entire group, including those in the warehouse, arm themselves with weapons and climb into well armed and armored vehicles. Some of these stallions are within the Saddle Arabian royal military. At least those who have opposed the royal family for a time. With every pony ready the second phase of this operation has begun. As the vehicles leave the warehouse district.
Once the vehicles enter the capital city. A song was played over the city’s announcement system. The protesters turn their protest into a full blown assault on every pony. Stallions grab their weapons and open fire on the police, and innocent alike. Mares are shot by the dozens, foals crying as they scramble for cover to hide from the ponies shooting down their family members. The police didn’t see this coming and had no way to prepare for a full scale assault.
Hakim and Amira were led out to a secret bunker by their royal guard. The entire city is in complete chaos, that the royal military has to be called in. However since there are traitors among their ranks. There would be less forces fighting back. If they weren’t already killed.
Akeem and his lieutenants fought their way into the palace. Killing guards who came out to face them.
“(You will not stop us!)” Akeem exclaimed, “(We are on the righteous path! The path of God!)”
The terrorists entered the palace and fought their way to find Hakim and Amira. The sultan and queen of Saddle Arabia. However, both have already made it to sanctuary underground. The operation was so easily performed. There was hardly any resistance against Akeem’s terrorist group. Akeem screamed in victory, followed by his comrades. Saddle Arabia was theirs for the taking.
It has been a week since Akeem announced himself as Ayatollah Akeem. A few days since Wild Ace’s funeral. A week since the declaration of war went out against the rest of Equus. In Canterlot the four Princesses and King Thorax met in the royal palace.
“How are we with the preparations for invasion?” Twilight asked.
“All of our forces are positioned along our borders right now. All law enforcement forces are prepared to counter any terrorist attack, and our air forces are at the ready to take off at a moment's notice.” Luna replied, “Thorax how are things at the Hive?”
“All Changeling forces are ready to enter the fray on your command.” Thorax said.
“All forces in the Crystal Empire are ready too.” Cadence said, as she held her daughter Flurry Heart within her magic.
Celestia cleared her throat before speaking. “The other nations already reported in to us. Nations near Saddle Arabia have had some minor scuffles with Akeem’s forces, but nothing too serious. This won’t keep. They will sooner or later pull out all of the stops to conquer Equis.”
“You’re right sister.” Luna said, “Let’s hope we can mount an offensive to take back control of Saddle Arabia.”
“While we have heard no word on Hakim and Amira as of right now.” Celestia said, “They’re most likely in exile.”
“If we could only send a message and hope that only they get it.” Twilight said.
“Not a bad idea, but we have no idea if Akeem’s forces set up anything to intercept said message.”
Rainbow Dash looked around her office within the RF Squadron’s barracks. Pictures adorned its walls. Pictures of Rainbow Dash’s accomplishments as a Wonderbolt. Pictures of her family and friends. Then there were the pictures of her entire squadron. All fourteen pegasi posed for a group photo and a single photo of each pilot and their copilot.
Rainbow Dash was accepted into the Wonderbolt Squadron immediately after graduation from the Air Naval Academy. From her time as a Lieutenant 2nd Class to becoming Captain of the Rainbow Factory Squadron. There has never been a single loss of life in her time of the Navy. Just then a knock on her door brought her out of nostalgic bliss.
“It’s open!” she exclaimed.
The door opened and in stepped a light blue unicorn mare. With a rainbow mane and tail combination like hers. Unlike Rainbow’s however, is that there are only four light colors, a light shade of red, yellow, lime green and orange.
“Lieutenant 2nd Class Rainbow Sherbert reporting for duty Ma’am!” the mare saluted, and Dash saluted right back.
The 1st Metal Gear Company of Neighpon exited their transports. As well as the three other Metal Gear Companies. Metal Gear was derived from Stalliongrad tank, the Shagohod.. All four Metal Gear Companies join with the mobile infantry to form the Juukou Battalion. Translated to the Heavy Armor Battalion. Katana is a pilot of a Metal Gear REX, the Neighpon Imperial Army’s Metal Gears. He watched as his REX unit was being offloaded from the transport airships that brought them to the borders of Saddle Arabia, and the Wastelands. The Wastelands being a desert region with hardly any cities, sanctuary for the criminals, land of no laws or even a government. The Marines own Metal Gear Ray, while the Air Force pilot the only aerial aerial Metal Gears. Known as Metal Gear Eagle, and finally the largest called Arsenal Gear. Which is somewhere in the ocean with it’s weapons ready to repel any attack.
“This is REX Leader!” Katana exclaimed, “Ready to roll out!”
“Roger Rex Leader! Rex units are clear to roll out! Happy hunting!”
Given the all clear to depart on whatever mission the Rex units are given. Katana leads his comrades away from the Forward Operating Base Susanoo.
