Twilight tries to help
Twilight was trotting over a bridge one morning as it was a beautiful day around her. It was really cold and snow covered treetops Twilight smiled as she admired the scenery around her. She smiled as she saw her library and saw the branches seeing that it was blanketed with snow. She went inside and breathed out a relaxed sigh. She trotted over to a comfy chair and sat down. She took her scarf off and closed her eyes.
She had a good walk which she was happy of and now she was going to have a peaceful nap. As she declined back and exhaled softly a knock on her door jolted her up. She sighed in annoyance and got up. She wanted to take a nap as her eye twitched. Who ever was out there she wanted to tell them to come back later as she was planning on sleeping.
She opened the door and saw Rainbow Dash. She sighed wondering what Rainbow Dash needed.
"Yes Rainbow?" Twilight asked as she yawned. She wobbled a little. Rainbow Dash spoke.
"Twilight can you help me with something?" Rainbow Dash asked. Twilight groaned to herself as she wanted to do nothing right now but sleep. She thought on her options. She wondered if she should tell Rainbow Dash that she was going to take a nap but could help her later or help her now and just sleep after.
She thought on what to do. It seemed rude to her to tell her friend that she wanted to take a nap and would help her friend later as it worried her that it would make her seem uncaring but she didn't feel like she had enough energy to do anything at that moment and it worried her that she would fall asleep trying to help.
She debated with herself and finally decided on helping Rainbow Dash. She did not want to let her friend feel bad. She could always sleep later besides it was rude to say no anyway. She yawned and closed her eyes.
"Sure....I'll help." Twilight said yawning. Rainbow gave her a concerned look but Twilight started to walk. Rainbow walked up to Twilight and had Twilight follow her. As she led Twilight Twilight fought to keep her eyes open. Rainbow Dash frowned and spoke.
"You do know that you don't have to help with it right now. I can always push it till later or get somepony else to help." Rainbow Dash said Twilight looked at her wide eyed.
"No I'll help you! Don't you want my help?" Twilight asked. Rainbow Dash stopped and Twilight stopped as well.
"Twilight you seem really tired. You don't have to do it and I don't need it done right this minute. I don't want to push you Twilight. Your eyes are bloodshot I think helping me would make it worse." Rainbow Dash said. Twilight shook her head.
"I'm...fine." Twilight said in a sleepy voice. Rainbow Dash knew that Twilight wasn't going to rest until she helped. Rainbow Dash didn't know what to do. Twilight was refusing to rest even though she needed it. Rainbow Dash didn't want to make Twilight work. She just asked Twilight nicely.
"Twilight I wasn't going to get mad if you turned down my request for help. I don't want to have you work in this condition. How about I get somepony else to help me?" Rainbow Dash asked. Twilight then turned her head up and spoke.
"No! I'll do!" Twilight exclaimed yawning. Rainbow Dash frowned. She was convinced that Twilight couldn't do it. Rainbow Dash put a hoof on Twilights shoulder and spoke.
"Twilight you should get back to your place. I'll get you later or I can get my other friends." Twilight panicked. She was going to let her friend down. She spoke.
"But I'll be a bad friend if I do that!" Twilight exclaimed. Rainbow Dash shook her head as she couldn't believe what Twilight said.
"Your not a bad friend Twilight! Don't ever call yourself that. I do feel moved by your persistence but it concerns me as you are tired. You will not be a bad friend if you take a nap instead. I'm not going be offended if you don't help me now." Rainbow Dash said as she tried to warn against Twilight helping her for Twilights own safety.
"No I'm going to help you!" Twilight exclaimed. Rainbow Dash shook her head.
"Twilight your eyes are half closed." Rainbow said as she face hoofed.
"But I want to be like you! The element of loyalty." Twilight stated. Rainbow definitely knew that Twilight was probably unaware now of what she was saying.
"Twilight that means a lot it really does but even I have limits. I don't help with anything if I'm tired." Rainbow said hoping that this would convince Twilight to take it easy. Twilight looked up shocked. Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes.
"Twilight I'm not going to push you to help me even if your tired. You didn't have to come out here to help. I would have understood if you refused and stated the reason for it as that reason is now obvious. I don't want you to get hurt. I understand you being tired and Im moved that you want to help me." Rainbow Dash said. Twilights eyes filled with tears as she heard that.
"You really mean that?" Twilight stated smiling. Rainbow Dash nodded.
"Pretty much." Rainbow Dash said. Twilight hugged her Rainbow smiled rolling her eyes and hugged her back.
"Thank you! I'll help you when I get up!" Twilight said. Rainbow smiled. They then pulled away and Twilight started to walk back home and Rainbow also started walking back
"I'm sorry i disturbed you and got you all worked up about helping me." Rainbow Dash said.
"No I'm sorry for not telling you that I was to tired to do anything." Twilight said. Rainbow smiled.
"That's okay. You just have to remember to learn about your limits that's all." Rainbow said. Twilight nodded.
"I will." Twilight said. Soon they both got back to Twilights place.
"I'll help you when I get up." Twilight said.
"That's alright. Just get some sleep that's all I ask." Rainbow said. Twilight smiled and Rainbow shooed her inside. Twilight giggled as she got into the library. She looked at Rainbow once more.
"Thanks Rainbow." Twilight stated. Rainbow Dash nodded and spoke.
"Your welcome." Rainbow said. She then flew off and Twilight closed her door. She then walked up her stairs at a slow pace as she was to tired to walk even faster as soon as she got to her bed she got under her covers and fell asleep almost immediately. It took no time at all for her to fall asleep. It was pretty much a good thing that Rainbow told her to sleep because that is just what she needed.
A few hours later Twilight got up feeling refreshed and went to see Rainbow Dash. Rainbow giggled.
"How was your nap sleepy?" She teased. Twilight rolled her eyes.
"It was fine thanks. Just what I needed. Can I help now?" Twilight said as her energy was back. Rainbow smiled.
"As long as you took a nap then yes. Next time if your that tired tell me. I won't get offended and I'll understand." Rainbow Dash told Twilight so that Twilight would know for next time and refuse if she was to tired.
"Thanks Rainbow!" Twilight said smiling. Rainbow Dash then guided her to a box of full of wonderbolts magazines. Twilight raised an eyebrow at Rainbow.
"Why do you have so many issues that feature Soarin on the cover?" Twilight asked her. Rainbow blushed and laughed.
"No reason...." Rainbow said. Twilight smirked knowingly.
"Uh-huh." Twilight said not believing her.
"Some of these I need to sell I have to many and it's taking up space in my room." Rainbow said. Twilight nodded knowing full well why she had so many wonderbolts magazines. She didn't say anything but grinned. Twilight and Rainbow took out all the copies of extra issues and just put them up for sale. The rest Twilight threw away.
As soon as they were done they both looked at the good job that they did. Twilight was glad that she got some sleep and was glad that she could help.
"Thanks again Twilight. I appreciate that." Rainbow Dash said. Twilight nodded and spoke.
"Your welcome and thanks for urging me to sleep. I was a bit stubborn and wasn't thinking. If you wouldn't have gotten me to sleep I would have gotten hurt." Twilight said.
"Your welcome. Now take it easy." Rainbow said. Twilight nodded and flew off to her home as she now knew for next time to take a nap when she was to tired and tell her friends Honestly about how she was tired and request for a nap and not push herself.
