Dragon of Death!! Necrosan's Forced Challenge!!!
Previously on the Review Team...
Nothing happened. Yep.
Before we start this little adventure, I must tell you. You've got yourself a narrator for the moment. And who could be lightening up the mood even though I've just swooped in for some attention?
I'll tell you. I am Necrosan. Dragon of Death.
Oh, yes! You know it, mortals! AHAHAHAHA-wait. Are you sure you don't know me? Are you suddenly calling me some sort of 'Primal Rage' knockoff? Ugh. You humans and your condensing attitudes.
Very well, I should explain.
First of all, let me say something to whoever is making whatever sort of analogies to Primal Rage. That sequel never got made. So there.
Second, my origins are simple. I am merely an instrument of seeking out souls that attempt to escape death. Those that try to cheat it meet my mastery of the dark arts! And of course, my fangs and the sort. However, like that Satan fellow, I follow the blissful philosophy that rules were made to be broken.
What do I mean by that? Well, usually I stir up some mischief. By my logic, I mean create some good old fashioned paranormal activity. Why do you think that house is haunted? Ghosts? Spirits? Well, maybe. Actually, quite possibly. The point is that I might curse the area with a poltergeist. You know, a violent spirit that causes mayhem for some time.
You could say that the grim reaper himself, Death, gets quite a headache from my antics. If so, then I can't express how happy I am right now! The old coot deserves some action nowadays! Things just aren't like the Black Plague anymore!
Before I finish, keep in mind I don't despise humanity. If we creatures of darkness wanted to slaughter every one of your ilk, God would have our heads on pikes!
Today, however, I plan on the most thrilling escapade yet! During a meeting of all the powerful entities in this universe, I learned that Satan tried taking a cartoon character into Hell as part of a deal that had to be fulfilled. When nobody was looking, I decided to check on the location he was talking about.
What I found was quite interesting. Pop culture characters walked and talked among one another in a home high above the rest of the mortals of Earth. Seeing how thick-headed the knight living there was to challenge Satan, I formulated a scheme in my skull.
I won't spoil, but let's just say I might be messing with the laws of life and death now.
Enough of my rambling! I have a team to annoy! Sounds trivial, but trust me, mortal! I'm giving that knight an offer he can't refuse!

"C'mon! C'mon!" Godzilla went as he was about to lose once again to Finn in a game of Mario Party 2. "DAMMIT! How did you get good at this?"
"Well, remember BMO? That friend I talked about? Let's just say practice makes perfect." Finn said triumphantly.
"Whatever." Godzilla muttered. "Say, what's Twilight doing?"
The both of them found Twilight looking though a telescope at the stars.
"Figures." Godzilla shrugged.
SLAM!
The 3 of them, Twilight included, turned to seeing Megatron trying to punch Discord into the ground to no avail.
"GIVE BACK MY FUSION CANNON THIS INSTANT!" Megatron bellowed.
"Not until you apologize for what you did a week ago!" Discord said as he teleported all over the place.
"My actions were necessary to show you your impudence! NOW GIVE IT BACK BEFORE I END YOUR LIFE!" Megatron continued to yell.
"Big and bull-headed." Discord chuckled. "I like you!"
Suddenly, the draconeques found himself frozen. Megatron stopped trying to punch at the floor to find that Mr. Freeze had shot his freeze gun at the trickster.
"Can you please put your differences on ice for a while?" Mr. Freeze growled.
"You made the right decision, Victor." Megatron said as he wretched his fusion cannon off of the frozen Discord. "Though I'm not so sure about dealing with him anytime soon."
"Can we ever have a moment of peace without Megatron or Discord causing havoc?" Twilight groaned to herself.
"Apparently not." Finn replied.
Sir then walked into the room, holding some pizza bagels in hand. "Is there a problem, anyone?"
"Not anymore." Megatron said as Discord thawed out.
"Well, that certainly wasn't a fine howdy do!" Discord scowled as he got up to Mr. Freeze. "I just deserve a little bit of justice, that's all!"
"Yo, bro!" Z-Squared said as he hurried into the same room. "We've got a message!"
"Oh, what is it this time?" Sir said as he teleported to where the giant television monitor was.
On said monitor was the face of a hideous skeletal dragon.
"COUSIN PHIL!" Basil screamed in terror as he walked in. "I AM SO SORRY I NEVER GOT TO WEAR THAT LOBSTER COSTUME YOU WANTED ME TO-"
"I'm not the late 'cousin Phil' you speak of, mortal. Whoever he is." The creature said. Basil then looked extremely sheepish.
"What was that bit about a lobs-" Before Marceline could finish, Basil shushed her.
"The less you know, the better." The unsettled dragon said.
"Greetings, mortals! I am Necrosan, the dragon of death and general pain in the arse. Hear me out if you dare." The creature stated.
"Alright." Sir said. "What is it you wish? I assure you we are in the mood for all sorts of challenges."
"Well, you've better keep that memo! I have a challenge that a select 4 of you must face! I was originally going for all of you, but that would unfair, now wouldn't it? AH? AH?"
The sound of a cricket echoed throughout the Headquarters.
"What is this? A meeting or a mosaic?" Necrosan said, looking confused. "Anyway, do you accept my challenge?"
"You didn't even state what is is." Mothra piped up.
"Now, missy. Would you really expect me to ruin a potentially good surprise?" Necrosan edged towards the screen.
"Judging by you tone..." Mothra began. "No. But at least tell me no-one gets hurt."
"Goody two-shoes." Necrosan said under his breath. "Oh, I would never offer a dangerous and challenging ordeal to beings that have experienced combat and have various powers-UGH! DOES ROADKILL HAVE FLIES?! OF COURSE THERE'S A GOOD CHANCE OF GETTING HURT!!! What did you expect? A game of hopscotch?!"
Mothra backed away as everyone but Fluttershy looked at her weird.
"I would prefer that." Fluttershy said.
Necrosan sighed. "Does this mean you'll accept my challenge?"
Sir shook his head. "Normally, I would be interested. But you do not seem like the most trust worthy being I have seen. Zombies are too easy to kill."
Necrosan looked quite offended. "Oh, and the devious chimera over there gets a free pass?"
Discord floated up. "At least I don't look like I walked out of the morgue."
"Touche." Necrosan muttered. "Have it your way. Just remember." He suddenly smiled wryly. "You might want to reconsider."
BZIT! The screen went blank.
"What a creep." Godzilla said.
"Just what we need." Marceline rolled her eyes. "Another supernatural creature out to mess with our lives."
"Let's just forget about him, shall we?" Sir suggested.
"Amen." Z-Squared agreed.
"I mean, we might get an apocalyptic entity sometime!" Sir clapped his hands.
"How about no." Twilight glared.
Meanwhile, during the night...
Necrosan flied over to the top of the Headquarters (he can fly in space) and phased through.
"Showtime." he whispered to himself.
A few moments later...
Necrosan had just finished his work. He chuckled as he phased back onto the roof.
"Hehehe. They'll never know what hit them." he said to himself.
"Hey, you there!" The dragon turned his head to a voice behind him. Had he been caught?
"I need you to give me a signature on this package." It was the intergalactic paperboy, Tafeli.
Still taking it as a threat, Necrosan's eyes then started to glow yellow and it sent the small alien into a trance.
"You shall not speak of my presence." The vile dragon seductively said.
"I will not speak of your presence." Tafeli replied in a voice devoid of all emotion.
"Now sleep. And tell me I'm awesome." Necrosan spread his wings as he said that.
"You're...awesome...zzzzzz..." Tafeli fell asleep at the spot.
"That's better." The monster said as he flew away.
The next morning...
Godzilla yawned as he woke from his slumber. He then turned to his bunkmates...
...and screamed when he saw the hideous clown makeup on their faces. The 2 followed suit when they saw Godzilla's clownface as well as theirs.
In the other room, Basil found all his scales removed, Fluttershy and Mothra has lost their hair/fur, and Marceline found a huge poster on her bed stating Edward Cullen the Series. It could happen.
Finally, Megatron found his chest painted pink with bright purple words stating YUM YUM, Discord found a large L burned on his forehead, and Mr. Freeze found his photos with he and Nora tarnished (meaning that his head was replaced with that of Flava Flav's).
Everyone burst into Sir's room (the Television monitor one) and they saw he and Z-Squared screaming their lungs out as '2 Girls, 1 Cup' played on the monitor.
As everyone screamed in panic and utter disbelief, a certain skeletal dragon laughed his arse up on the roof.
A few moments later...
After everyone had settled from that traumatic experience (the combined magic of Twilight and Discord fixed up everybody's appearance), Sir angrily turned on the monitor to find Necrosan's laughing face into focus.
"OH! How did you know it was me?! AHAHAHAHA!" Necrosan barely got that sentence out as he laughed like a hyena.
"I CAN SMELL THE STENCH OF YOUR FILTHY HIDE ALL OVER THE PLACE, YOU EMPTY HEADED VIOLATOR OF ALL THAT IS DECENT!!!" Sir uncharacteristically shouted. "MY WHOLE TEAM WANTS YOUR HEAD REMOVED FROM YOUR DECADENT BODY AND NOW I AM STARTING TO SEE WHY!!!"
"You tell him!" Finn shouted.
"Death to the monster!" Mr. Freeze raised his arms.
"You'd better apologize for what you did!" Basil bared his teeth.
"That wasn't nice at all!" Fluttershy narrowed her eyes at the creature.
"Alright, I get it." Necrosan said as the others came up with their own threats. "You accept my challenge, yes?"
"It's a deal for all I care." Godzilla said. "All the more to smash you skull in!"
"Splendid!" Necrosan then thought for a moment. "The first one I choose is the human over there! The one with the crimson shirt." It was Z-Squared that stepped forth.
"Listen, A-hole. It's obvious you just want to get a rise out of us. So, lay it on me. What'd ya got planed?"
"AH-AH-AH!" Necrosan raised a finger. "Be patient. I now choose the robot! I sure enjoyed what I did to him!"
Megatron stepped forth. "Hear this, demon! I will lay your bones across the battlefield for what you've done to my pride! You will not succeed in-"
"Blah, blah, blah, I get it. You want to slaughter me. I know the feeling." Necrosan said. "Next, I choose the demon-born vampire. I can sense all that dark energy around her. It feels rather nice."
"Whatever you say, freakshow." Marceline said as she stepped forth. "Keep in mind I'm with Megatron on this one. You're basically bringing yourself to an early grave when you try to take me on!" She then stopped for a moment. "Wait. How did you know I was demon-born?"
"Well, I am on top of the roof. Not that it matters." Necrosan said. "Finally, I choose the one with the silly ice outfit!"
Mr. Freeze stepped forth. "First of all, my name is Freeze. Remember it. Because it shall be the last thing you hear before your blood runs cold and the winter of your discontent descends upon you."
"Your sense of humor is more pathetic than that excuse of a weapon you carry." Necrosan groaned. "Anyway, teleport to the Grand Canyon if you don't mind. I've got something cooked up for you. I doubt you may even survive! Have a nice day."
BZIT! With that ambiguous warning, Necrosan's image dissipated from the monitor. The actual Necrosan had teleported to the desired location.
"Wait? What about the rest of us? Why can't we go and kick his ass?" Godzilla questioned.
Sir turned to him. "I DO NOT CARE WHAT YOU SAY! WE FOLLOW HIS CHALLENGE NO MATTER WHAT!!!"
"Is he still not over this?" Basil asked Z-Squared.
"Yeah, that video screwed him up. I know it almost did with me." Z-Squared shuddered.
"Tell me about it." Twilight groaned as she still tried to forget what she saw.
"I'll get my hat." Marceline said as she contemplated the scorching heat of the area they called the Grand Canyon.
Some time later...
The foursome found themselves in a large desert. The Grand Canyon was a few miles away.
"I forgot. The teleporter is still a bit faulty." Z-Squared said. "I'll just get Sir to teleport my car in."
"You have a car?" Marceline asked.
"Yep. Here it come right now."
At that moment, the vehicle was teleported to the spot where our heroes were. It was a busted-up black sedan with some red hash-marks.
"I'll just travel in jet-mode." Megatron said. "I have no use for such means of transportation."
"You sure this isn't going to blow up in our faces when we hit so much as a tumbleweed?" Marceline asked Z-Squared.
"It's simple. I think my car hates me." Z-Squared sighed. "Every-time I get in, all I hear in my head is GET OUUUUT... Other than that, let's do this."
As Mr. Freeze, Marceline, and Z-Squared got into the car, Megatron transformed and the journey began.
As the awkward minutes passed, Z-Squared had an idea. "Hey, you guys wanna listen to radio?"
"Alright." Mr. Freeze said as he started to turn up the air conditioner to the breaking point.
"Fine by me." Marceline said. "What do they got?"
Z-Squared turned on the radio and Biz Markie's 'Just a Friend' started playing.
"Oh, this is my jam!" Z-Squared said as he sung to the lyrics.
"I think I heard this somewhere." Marceline said. "Not a bad song."
Z-Squared: You....You've got what I need!
But you say he's just a friend! YEAH!
And you say he's just a friend!
"C'mon, Marcie! Join me!" Z-Squared said.
"Ah, heck with it!" Marceline threw all caution into the wind as she joined in. Mr. Freeze just ignored them.
Z-Squared and Marceline: YOU....YOU'VE GOT WHAT I NEED!
BUT YOU SAY HE'S JUST A FRIEND! HAH!
AND YOU SAY HE'S JUST A FRIEND!
Necrosan: Oh, baby!
Suddenly, Necrosan came up on the radio and started singing the song. As he sang the lyrics posted below, Z-Squared, Marceline, and Mr. Freeze took notice.
"Hey, what the-Necro!? Necro, You leave Biz Markie alone!" Z-Squared shouted.
"Is there a mute button on this freak?!" Marceline followed suit.
"Turn that off! I can actually feel the glass on my suit break!" Mr. Freeze covered his ears.
Necrosan: You...You've got what I need!
But you say he's just a friend!
And you say he's just a friend!
Then, he started to sing in an extremely loud voice sans any instrumentals. Apparently, he tried turning into an opera. The reactions were expected.
"I WILL F***ING KILL YOU!!!" Z-Squared shouted.
"TURN THAT OFF!" Mr. Freeze shouted.
"IT'S NOT AN OPERA!!!" Both Z-Squared and Marceline shouted.
Necrosan: YOUUUUUUUU!!! YOU'VE GOT WHAT I NEEEeeeEEED!
BUT YOU SAY HE'S JUST A FRIEEEEND!
AND YOU SAY HE'S JUST A FRIEEEEND!
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!
The song soon ended as the radio was finally turned off. Mr. Freeze continued to groan in pain.
"Glob no!" Marceline hissed.
"Necro f**ked with Biz Markie." Z-Squared seethed.
"I can't WAIT until we put him in the ground." Marceline groaned. "Nice singing though."
"You too." Z-Squared replied.
They finally got to the destined spot and saw...nothing.
"Well, this was a waste of-"
Before Megatron could finish the sentence, Necrosan's voice filled their ears. "Attention, victims! I'm so glad you all came here! Now, prepare yourself for an army of..."
As he paused, figures began to rise from the ground. They all wore Mafia outfits and they had tommy-guns that looked like cheap 50's laser guns.
"...UNDEAD SPACE GANGSTERS!" Necrosan finished.
"...Really? That?" Z-Squared face-palmed. "Are you that artistically bankrupt?"
"FIRE UPON THEM!" Necrosan's voice commanded the Space Gangsters. They soon began to fire highly concentrated laser fire.
As the foursome round cover behind a large rock, they began to brandish their weapons.
"Ready?" Z-Squared asked the other 3.
"Ready!" The others said.
"Let us annihilate them!" Megatron said as they leaped into battle.
Before they could be hit by lasers, Megatron shot a large blast at the army. It scattered them so Mr. Freeze could safely shoot a blast at ice at them. Half the army was soon frozen and shattered by Z-Squared's sword.
The rest of the army regained composure and continued to fire.
"Thank god enemy mooks are terrible shots." Z-Squared said as he dodged laser fire.
"They're just so elusive!" One gangster said as he hit everything but the intended targets.
Megatron began to cut away at those that tried to attack him with laser baseball bats. Marceline, meanwhile, was doing the exact same thing to the rest of the army.
Mr. Freeze continued to fire an endless stream of ice at the army. However, they had put on heat shields that suddenly appeared on their bodies, and they fired at him. Taking a few shots, he resorted to blasting the floor below them. They slipped and fell all the way to an enraged Megatron, who had taken a few hits. They were cut to size.
Z-Squared and Marceline deflected the many shots being fired at them and that did take the lives of many of the army.
11 minutes later, the army was nothing more than bloodied pieces and stuff.
"WHEW! We annihilated 'em!" Z-Squared said in triumph.
"You said it!" Marceline said as she high-fived him.
"Another easy victory for one such as I." Megatron beamed.
"A cool breeze descends upon us." Mr. Freeze smiled.
"You know I don't like losing." Necrosan's voice called out. "I've never battled before, but let me assure you. I. SHALL. NEVER. LOSE."
Just then, a large creature fell down to the Earth. It rose up from the impact, spread out it's limbs and let out a screech not unlike a crow and a dubstep DJ coming together.
This was Necrosan in his entirety. His appearance was bad enough to look at with the monitor, but he looked absolutely terrifying in his entire visage. His face was one of pure bloodlust, flesh adorned where there was no bone, long black claws were his fingers, and his tail was tipped with a wicked spear. He stood like a dinosaur examining his prey, which contrasted with his more humanoid stance while flying with his leather-less, bony wings.
"Prepare for death!" Megatron said as he charged at the beast.
As Necrosan cackled madly, though, Necrosan teleported in a blaze of green fire and attacked from behind, using one of his ribs against the robot with movements that were far too quick and elaborate for Megatron to counter.
Mr. Freeze shot an ice blast at the creature, but suddenly, one of the souls of the slaughtered army got in the way, taking the hit.
Apparently, Necrosan had surrounded himself with skull-like souls. This worked as a shield as Mr. Freeze kept trying in vain to get a clear shot.
Megatron then deflected the rib from the monster's claw and struck it with his fist. Necrosan was sent flying, but then he rose into the air and fired a stream of green fire at Megatron.
Megatron soon felt searing pain throughout his entire body. He blotted the flames from his face, but it still hurt like hell.
However, Marceline then threw her axe-bass at Necrosan like a boomerang and it crippled the wings, sending the creature plummeting to the ground.
"You okay?" Z-Squared asked a very hurt Megatron.
"I can still fight! I shall not lose to such a primitive monstrosity!" Megatron got up.
"We'll see about that!" Necrosan said as he screeched and charged towards the foursome. Mr. Freeze shot a blast of ice at it, but he jumped over and slammed onto Freeze. The other 3 were pushed back by the shockwave. The monster summoned a large burst of energy out of the ground and it sent Mr. Freeze into the air and back to the ground. He was defeated from all the damage and heat.
"I'll handle this." Marceline said as she regained composure. Rushing towards him, she was met by a powerful claw swipe that knocked her aside. Still not defeated, she swung it at him, but he grabbed the bass. Yes, the bladed part.
"Nice toy." He said as he clenched it harder. "Toys were made to be broken." Much to everyone's shock, he shattered it. Marceline was left in stunned silence before she was pounded into the ground.
"If you have any last words...now's the time to say them." Necrosan leaned closer to her. She spat at him in anger.
As he reeled back, he was hit by a blast from Megatron's fusion cannon. Knocked to the side, Z-Squared leaped and embedded his sword into the blast mark.
Necrosan shrieked in pain for a while before getting up and grabbing Z-Squared. Pulling the sword out his body, he flung Z-Squared at Megatron. Unfazed by the meta human hitting him, Megatron still charged at the dragon.
However, the dragon still had the sword and he charged as well. However, as Megatron swung his blade at the beast, Necrosan teleported and, while behind him, stabbed Megatron's shoulder with the blade. Megatron screamed as it was embedded deeper into him.
"GET ON YOUR KNEES!" Necrosan commanded.
"NEVER!" Megatron said through his grunts of pain after the screams subsided.
"ON!" He went deeper. "YOUR!"
SLAM!
Marceline and Z-Squared both punched him square in the face, knocking him back a few inches.
"That was for my bass!" Marceline shouted. "Okay, now. Let's finish this creep off!"
As Megatron continued to limp away in pain, Marceline turned into her wolf form and pounced onto Necrosan. She was about to bite until Necrosan's hands got around her throat.
Z-Squared and Megatron, who was still limping, went in to assist, but they and Marceline were suddenly engulfed in massive green flames and the rest of the souls of the army.
A few moments passed by. Necrosan got up and inspected what happened. Mr. Freeze was still knocked out, Marceline was badly burnt, Megatron couldn't fight anymore, and Z-Squared was barely hanging in there.
"Maybe I chose wrong." Necrosan said as he approached Z-Squared. "You didn't stand a chance. I'll admit. You landed some pretty good hits. But that will never make up for how you lost against me."
As Necrosan continued to talk, Z-Squared noticed a piece of Marceline's axe bass laying next to him. He started to reach over and grab it. Suddenly, he felt Necrosan's foot slam onto his body.
"I know what you're thinking. Why am I so adamant about beating you guys into a bloody pulp? Well, I need to get out once in a while and I will say, no normal mortal would last a second with me. I can't kill these guys, but you...well..." He started to raise his claw. "Mind if I send you to the other side?"
"Why don't you go there first?" Z-Squared said as he grabbed the shard and, with his strength, plunged it into where Necrosan's heart was. The beast screamed in agony as it reared back.
"YOU INFERIOR MORTAL!" Necrosan screamed in rage as blood started to fill his mouth. "I CAN NEVER BE BEATEN!"
"I guess this is your first!" Z-Squared said as he pulled his sword out of Megatron's shoulder and plunged it into Necrosan's head.
The beast still convulsed with pain and rage before he violently dissipated.
Z-Squared collapsed on the ground as he heard his communicator go off.
"Brother? Have you defeated him?" Sir asked, now more calm thanks to some stress relief from Fluttershy.
"Yeah. Requesting medical treatment." Z-Squared said as they were teleported away.
A few moments later...
"That must have been some battle." Discord said. "Wish I was there to see it."
"I take it you shall no longer be tormenting me for what happened a week ago." Megatron replied as he was being repaired by several drones.
"Maybe...maybe not." Discord smiled.
Megatron just sighed.
Mr. Freeze made a good recovery and he was back on his feet in just a few hours. "That may have not been as cool as expected," he told Mothra. "But it was still satisfactory."
"Nice job kicking his ass." Godzilla congratulated him. "Personally, I would have done it myself."
"Believe me." Marceline said as she was carried by a hospital bed towards them. "I wouldn't have minded."
"Good news, Abadeer!" Sir floated in. "I not only managed to repair your instrument, but I also retrofitted it with some of my tech. I can no longer be shattered in such a way as demonstrated by the monster."
"Good to know." Marceline smiled. "Say, Z-Squared?"
"Yeah?" Z-Squared said as he walked in, with a few injuries etched across his body.
"Nice job covering me when he attacked."
"Anytime!" Z-Squared smiled.
"I swear, if those 2 don't kiss by the end of the year, I'll be surprised." Finn muttered.
"What was that?" Sir asked.
"Nothing." Finn said.
"Hey, this is great and all, but I still need a signature!" Tafeli piped up as he suddenly appeared.
Meanwhile in a different plane of existence...
"I SWEAR BY IT!" Necrosan screeched in fury. "I SHALL REVENGE UPON THOSE WHO HAVE CROSSED ME! I WILL NOT BE OUTDONE BY SUCH MISCREANTS! I AM NECROSAN! THE HUNTER OF SOULS! THE-"
Death gave him a cold and serious stare.
"Well..." Necrosan then looked very sheepish "After my sentence is finished, of course. Can I go free? Pretty please?"
Death just shook his head. The dragon had much to learn about messing with mortal affairs.
