Twilight stood in the study room, looking over a bus load of papers from no other than Canterlot it's self. More importantly than just Canterlot, Celestia her self sent this report! Twilight had squealed with delight when she saw what the princess had sent for her to study. Once again, she read over the note that came with it.
Dear Twilight,
You have been doing a great job there in Ponyville! I now want you to do another report, you can handle that, right?
Well, the report is on a strange creature called elephants. I wish you good luck on your research! Attached to this note are the papers that I want you to write your answers on. There are also some questions to go with it. Good luck!
Twilight smiled again at the letter than began sorting through the mess of papers, all the while glaring at Spike. When she had gotten the letter and papers, Spike had immideatly tossed them in the air like confetti, completely disorganizing them. Spike shrugged, clearly embarressed, then walked away. Twilight Sparkle huffed then continued her work.
At that very moment, Pinkie Pie walked in. Only the pony that Twilight didn't want to see right now. Twilight sighed and looked over her shoulder.
"What is it, Pinkie?" She asked and the party pony held up a note. Twilight read it aloud:
"Dear Pinkie Pie, I would like you to help Twilight with her studies?!?!" Twilight yelled and Pinkie nodded happily then bounced over to the study area. Twilight frowned and trudged over to the destructive pony. "Are you sure that Princess Celestia wanted you to help me?" She asked and Pinkie nodded again. Twilight sighed then accepted that Pinkie wasn't leaving.
"Okay. Well, I'm doing a report on elephants." Said Twilight and Pinkie frowned.
"Then your going to need a really big ladder..." Pinkie Pie said and Twilight frowned. The angry pony pushed Pinkie aside to try and actually get some work done.
" Please stay over there and don't move." Twilight muttered.
"You got it!" Said Pinkie and then froze like a statue. Twilight rolled her eyes then grabbed her quill.
"Why are elephants grey, big and wrinkley?" Twilight said aloud then immideatly regretted it.
"Because if they were white, small and hard, they wouldn't be elephants... They'd be asprin!" Pinkie said. Twilight rolled her eyes again and scribbled something down.
"Okay... How do you ride a yellow elephant?" Twilight said aloud.
"Have you ever seen a yellow elephant? If you have, you must've been hallucinating or just had alot of sugar! Oh, I remember this one time, I had just eaten twelve cupcakes and I started bouncing of the walls, literally!" Pinkie said and Twilight sighed, trying to get work done.
"Pinkie, she's probably referring to Asian elephant. Alright, what is grey, has four legs and a trunk?" Twilight said then flinched.
"A mouse on a holiday, of course! Wait... What is that answer doing in a report about elephants?" Pinkie Pie asked and Twilight shook her head, wondering why Celestia had told Pinkie to help her. Why in Celestia would she do that to her?! Maybe it was a mix up... But, it was addressed to Pinkie and it said 'Dear Pinkie Pie' on the note. Oh hay.
"These are some wierd questions..." Twilight said aloud and Pinkie nodded. "Anyway, next question: Where do elephants live?"
"On the ground!" Pinkie shouted and Twilight scribbled something down.
"Why do elephants shoot water through their noses?"
"Well, if they shot it through their tails, it would be really super hard to aim!" Scribble, scribble.
"Which is stronger? An elephant or a snail?"
"Snail, because it carries it's house while an elephant just carries it's trunk." Scribble, scribble.
"Where would you find an elephant?"
"You wouldn't have to find one: They're too big to lose. Really, Twilight? All of these are so super easy-peesy! I don't think you need my help." Scribble, scribble.
"To what family does the elephant belong?"
"I don't know, nopony I know owns one." Scribble, scribble.
"What's the difference between an African elephant and an Indian elephant?"
"About 3,000 miles. Why?" Scribble, scribble.
Everything went along this way until they were done with all the pages and Twilight's hair was falling out in clumps from stress.
"Finally! We're done!" Twilight said then twitched a little. Pinkie Pie stepped back.
"Um, are you okay Twi? You seem a little woundy upy..." She said and Twilight ran up to her.
"Yeah! I'm fine! What would make you think I'm not okay?!" She screamed and her eye twitched. Pinkie narrowed her eyes, looking her friend over completely.
"Hmmm.... Okay! Guess I was wrong! Bye bye, Twi!" Pinkie Pie said then hopped away, looking back once to wave goodbye again.
Once she was gone, Twilight collapsed on her bed and closed her eyes. She was trying to get a break from this insane day. She gave the papers to Spike absent mindedly then passed out, waiting for tomorrow to come.
When the next day came, Spike woke Twilight up. He was greeted by a groan and a push to the side: Apparently Twilight wasn't ready to start the day. Well, Spike needed to make her get ready. He pushed her out of bed and she landed with a crash that instantly woke the sleeping not-so-beauty up.
"Princess Celestia is waiting downstairs for you, Twi." Spike said and the pony bolted downstairs, her mane still a tangled mess. She was greeted by a frown from the princess.
"I was very disappointed with your study, Twilight." Princess Celestia said and Twilight Sparkle gulped and stepped back. "Did you take any of Pinkie's ideas into consideration?" She said and Pinkie popped out from behind her, as if on cue. The party pony gave a wave to Twilight and the librarian returned it with a gulp.
"But she... She had the most random ideas in the world, Princess!" Twilight exclaimed and the Princess nodded.
"Yes, but that doesn't mean they're wrong." She mused and Twilight raised an eyebrow.
"Okay. I'll be more open next time, I GUESS!" Twilight ended with a scream because Pinkie was inclosing her with a tight hug. Twilight gasped for breath and the Earth pony finally let go. "C'mon, Pinkie. Let's remake that report!" Twilight said and Pinkie squealed with delight and bounced into the study room, waving a goodbye to the princess.
"Told ya they'd fall for it." Said Spike and the princess nodded then chuckled. She waved goodbye to the dragon then left. Spike had a giant grin on his face.
"Got'cha."
